| 1 [7:173] | Aw taqooloo innama ashraka abaonamin qablu wakunna thurriyyatan min baAAdihimafatuhlikuna bima faAAala almubtiloona |  أو تقولوا إنما أشرك آباؤنا من قبل وكنا ذرية من بعدهم أفتهلكنا بما فعل المبطلونأَوْ تَقُولُواْ إِنَّمَا أَشْرَكَ آبَاؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةً مِّن بَعْدِهِمْ أَفَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أو - Or| تقولوا - you say,| إنما - "Only| أشرك - partners (were) associated (with Allah)| آباؤنا - (by) our forefathers| من - from| قبل - before (us)| وكنا - and we are| ذرية - descendants| من - from| بعدهم - after them.| أفتهلكنا - So will You destroy us| بما - for what| فعل - did| المبطلون - the falsifiers?"| | ||||||
| 2 [21:51] | Walaqad atayna ibraheemarushdahu min qablu wakunna bihi AAalimeena | ولقد آتينا إبراهيم رشده من قبل وكنا به عالمين وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ رُشْدَهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِه عَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| آتينا - We gave| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| رشده - his guidance| من - before,| قبل - before,| وكنا - and We were| به - about him| عالمين - Well-Knowing.| | ||||||
| 3 [21:78] | Wadawooda wasulaymana ithyahkumani fee alharthi ith nafashatfeehi ghanamu alqawmi wakunna lihukmihim shahideena | وداوود وسليمان إذ يحكمان في الحرث إذ نفشت فيه غنم القوم وكنا لحكمهم شاهدين وَدَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ إِذْ يَحْكُمَانِ فِي الْحَرْثِ إِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيهِ غَنَمُ الْقَوْمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكْمِهِمْ شَاهِدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وداوود - And Dawud| وسليمان - and Sulaiman,| إذ - when| يحكمان - they judged| في - concerning| الحرث - the field,| إذ - when| نفشت - pastured| فيه - in it| غنم - sheep| القوم - (of) a people,| وكنا - and We were| لحكمهم - to their judgment| شاهدين - witness.| | ||||||
| 4 [21:79] | Fafahhamnaha sulaymanawakullan atayna hukman waAAilman wasakhkharnamaAAa dawooda aljibala yusabbihna waalttayrawakunna faAAileena | ففهمناها سليمان وكلا آتينا حكما وعلما وسخرنا مع داوود الجبال يسبحن والطير وكنا فاعلين فَفَهَّمْنَاهَا سُلَيْمَانَ وَكُلًّا آتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُودَ الْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّيْرَ وَكُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ففهمناها - And We gave understanding of it| سليمان - (to) Sulaiman,| وكلا - and (to) each| آتينا - We gave| حكما - judgment| وعلما - and knowledge.| وسخرنا - And We subjected| مع - with| داوود - Dawud| الجبال - the mountains| يسبحن - (to) glorify Our praises| والطير - and the birds.| وكنا - And We were| فاعلين - the Doers.| | ||||||
| 5 [21:81] | Walisulaymana alrreehaAAasifatan tajree bi-amrihi ila al-ardiallatee barakna feeha wakunna bikullishay-in AAalimeena | ولسليمان الريح عاصفة تجري بأمره إلى الأرض التي باركنا فيها وكنا بكل شيء عالمين وَلِسُلَيْمَانَ الرِّيحَ عَاصِفَةً تَجْرِي بِأَمْرِهِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولسليمان - And to Sulaiman,| الريح - the wind| عاصفة - forcefully| تجري - blowing| بأمره - by his command| إلى - to| الأرض - the land| التي - which| باركنا - We blessed| فيها - [in it].| وكنا - And We are| بكل - of every| شيء - thing| عالمين - Knowers.| | ||||||
| 6 [21:82] | Wamina alshshayateeni manyaghoosoona lahu wayaAAmaloona AAamalan doona thalikawakunna lahum hafitheena | ومن الشياطين من يغوصون له ويعملون عملا دون ذلك وكنا لهم حافظين وَمِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ مَن يَغُوصُونَ لَهُ وَيَعْمَلُونَ عَمَلًا دُونَ ذَلِكَ وَكُنَّا لَهُمْ حَافِظِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And of| الشياطين - the devils| من - (were some) who| يغوصون - would dive| له - for him| ويعملون - and would do| عملا - work| دون - other than| ذلك - that.| وكنا - And We were| لهم - of them| حافظين - Guardians.| | ||||||
| 7 [23:82] | Qaloo a-itha mitnawakunna turaban waAAithamana-inna lamabAAoothoona | قالوا أإذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما أإنا لمبعوثون قَالُوا أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| أإذا - "What! When| متنا - we are dead| وكنا - and become| ترابا - dust| وعظاما - and bones,| أإنا - would we| لمبعوثون - surely be resurrected?| | ||||||
| 8 [23:106] | Qaloo rabbana ghalabatAAalayna shiqwatuna wakunna qawman dalleena | قالوا ربنا غلبت علينا شقوتنا وكنا قوما ضالين قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They (will) say,| ربنا - "Our Lord!| غلبت - Overcame| علينا - [on] us| شقوتنا - our wretchedness,| وكنا - and we were| قوما - a people| ضالين - astray.| | ||||||
| 9 [27:42] | Falamma jaat qeela ahakathaAAarshuki qalat kaannahu huwa waooteena alAAilmamin qabliha wakunna muslimeena | فلما جاءت قيل أهكذا عرشك قالت كأنه هو وأوتينا العلم من قبلها وكنا مسلمين فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ قِيلَ أَهَكَذَا عَرْشُكِ قَالَتْ كَأَنَّهُ هُوَ وَأُوتِينَا الْعِلْمَ مِن قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - So when| جاءت - she came,| قيل - it was said,| أهكذا - "Is like this| عرشك - your throne?"| قالت - She said,| كأنه - "It is like| هو - it."| وأوتينا - "And we were given| العلم - the knowledge| من - before her| قبلها - before her| وكنا - and we have been| مسلمين - Muslims."| | ||||||
| 10 [28:58] | Wakam ahlakna min qaryatin batiratmaAAeeshataha fatilka masakinuhum lam tuskan minbaAAdihim illa qaleelan wakunna nahnu alwaritheena | وكم أهلكنا من قرية بطرت معيشتها فتلك مساكنهم لم تسكن من بعدهم إلا قليلا وكنا نحن الوارثين وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا فَتِلْكَ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَن مِّن بَعْدِهِمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ الْوَارِثِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكم - And how many| أهلكنا - We have destroyed| من - of| قرية - a town| بطرت - which exulted,| معيشتها - (in) its means of livelihood.| فتلك - And these| مساكنهم - (are) their dwellings| لم - not| تسكن - have been inhabited| من - after them| بعدهم - after them| إلا - except| قليلا - a little.| وكنا - And indeed, [We]| نحن - We| الوارثين - (are) the inheritors.| | ||||||
| 11 [37:16] | A-itha mitna wakunnaturaban waAAithaman a-innalamabAAoothoona | أإذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما أإنا لمبعوثون أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أإذا - Is it when| متنا - we are dead| وكنا - and have become| ترابا - dust| وعظاما - and bones,| أإنا - shall we then| لمبعوثون - be certainly resurrected,| | ||||||
| 12 [37:53] | A-itha mitna wakunnaturaban waAAithaman a-innalamadeenoona | أإذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما أإنا لمدينون أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أإذا - Is (it) when| متنا - we have died| وكنا - and become| ترابا - dust| وعظاما - and bones,| أإنا - will we| لمدينون - surely be brought to Judgment?"| | ||||||
| 13 [50:3] | A-itha mitna wakunna turabanthalika rajAAun baAAeedun | أإذا متنا وكنا ترابا ذلك رجع بعيد أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ذَلِكَ رَجْعٌ بَعِيدٌ | |||||
| Words | |أإذا - What! When| متنا - we die| وكنا - and have become| ترابا - dust.| ذلك - That| رجع - (is) a return| بعيد - far."| | ||||||
| 14 [56:47] | Wakanoo yaqooloona a-itha mitnawakunna turaban waAAithamana-inna lamabAAoothoona | وكانوا يقولون أئذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما أإنا لمبعوثون وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكانوا - And they used (to)| يقولون - say,| أئذا - "When| متنا - we die| وكنا - and become| ترابا - dust| وعظاما - and bones,| أإنا - will we| لمبعوثون - surely be resurrected?| | ||||||
| 15 [74:45] | Wakunna nakhoodu maAAa alkha-ideena | وكنا نخوض مع الخائضين وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ الْخَائِضِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكنا - And we used to| نخوض - indulge in vain talk| مع - with| الخائضين - the vain talkers,| | ||||||
| 16 [74:46] | Wakunna nukaththibu biyawmi alddeeni | وكنا نكذب بيوم الدين وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ | |||||
