| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[7:173] | Aw taqooloo innama ashraka abaonamin qablu wakunna thurriyyatan min baAAdihimafatuhlikuna bima faAAala almubtiloona
|  أو تقولوا إنما أشرك آباؤنا من قبل وكنا ذرية من بعدهم أفتهلكنا بما فعل المبطلون
أَوْ تَقُولُواْ إِنَّمَا أَشْرَكَ آبَاؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةً مِّن بَعْدِهِمْ أَفَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ |
| Words | |أو - Or| تقولوا - you say,| إنما - "Only| أشرك - partners (were) associated (with Allah)| آباؤنا - (by) our forefathers| من - from| قبل - before (us)| وكنا - and we are| ذرية - descendants| من - from| بعدهم - after them.| أفتهلكنا - So will You destroy us| بما - for what| فعل - did| المبطلون - the falsifiers?"| |

| ወይም «(ጣዖታትን) ያጋሩት ከእኛ በፊት የነበሩት አባቶቻችን ብቻ ናቸው፡፡ እኛም ከእነሱ በኋላ የኾን ዘሮች ነበርን፡፡ አጥፊዎቹ በሠሩት ታጠፋናለህን» እንዳትሉ (አስመሰከርናችሁ)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { أو يقولوا إنما أشرك آباؤنا من قبل } أي قبلنا { وكنا ذريَّة من بعدهم } فاقتدينا بهم { أفتهلكنا } تعذبنا { بما فعل المبطلون } من آبائنا بتأسيس الشرك، المعنى لا يمكنهم الاحتجاج بذلك مع إشهادهم على أنفسهم بالتوحيد، والتذكير به على لسان صاحب المعجزة قائم مقام ذكره في النفوس . |
| Ne$ a d tinim: "d imezwura nne$ kan i icurken, zik. Nekwni d tarwa deffir sen. Day a$ Ten$ev, ilmend n wayen xedmen wid iôejjnen"? |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অথবা বলতে শুরু কর যে, অংশীদারিত্বের প্রথা তো আমাদের বাপ-দাদারা উদ্ভাবন করেছিল আমাদের পূর্বেই। আর আমরা হলাম তাদের পশ্চাৎবর্তী সন্তান-সন্ততি। তাহলে কি সে কর্মের জন্য আমাদেরকে ধ্বংস করবেন, যা পথভ্রষ্টরা করেছে? |
| Literal | Or you say: "But our fathers shared/made partners (with God) from before, and we were descendants from after them, do you perish us/destroy us because (of) what the wasters/cancellors made/did ?" |
