| 1 [2:184] | Ayyaman maAAdoodatin faman kanaminkum mareedan aw AAala safarin faAAiddatun minayyamin okhara waAAala allatheena yuteeqoonahufidyatun taAAamu miskeenin faman tatawwaAAakhayran fahuwa khayrun lahu waan tasoomoo khayrun lakum inkuntum taAAlamoona |  أياما معدودات فمن كان منكم مريضا أو على سفر فعدة من أيام أخر وعلى الذين يطيقونه فدية طعام مسكين فمن تطوع خيرا فهو خير له وأن تصوموا خير لكم إن كنتم تعلمونأَيَّامًا مَّعْدُودَاتٍ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ فَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُ وَأَن تَصُومُواْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أياما - (Fasting for) days| معدودات - numbered.| فمن - So whoever| كان - is| منكم - among you| مريضا - sick| أو - or| على - on| سفر - a journey,| فعدة - then a prescribed number| من - of| أيام - days| أخر - other.| وعلى - And on| الذين - those who| يطيقونه - can afford it,| فدية - a ransom| طعام - (of) feeding| مسكين - a poor.| فمن - And whoever| تطوع - volunteers| خيرا - good| فهو - then it| خير - (is) better| له - for him.| وأن - And to| تصوموا - fast| خير - (is) better| لكم - for you,| إن - if| كنتم - you| تعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:271] | In tubdoo alssadaqatifaniAAimma hiya wa-in tukhfooha watu/toohaalfuqaraa fahuwa khayrun lakum wayukaffiru AAankum minsayyi-atikum waAllahu bimataAAmaloona khabeerun | إن تبدوا الصدقات فنعما هي وإن تخفوها وتؤتوها الفقراء فهو خير لكم ويكفر عنكم من سيئاتكم والله بما تعملون خبير إِن تُبْدُواْ الصَّدَقَاتِ فَنِعِمَّا هِيَ وَإِن تُخْفُوهَا وَتُؤْتُوهَا الْفُقَرَاءَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَيُكَفِّرُ عَنكُم مِّن سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |إن - If| تبدوا - you disclose| الصدقات - the charities| فنعما - then good| هي - it (is).| وإن - But if| تخفوها - you keep it secret| وتؤتوها - and give it| الفقراء - (to) the poor,| فهو - then it| خير - (is) better| لكم - for you.| ويكفر - And He will remove| عنكم - from you| من - [of]| سيئاتكم - your evil deeds.| والله - And Allah| بما - with what| تعملون - you do| خبير - (is) All-Aware.| | ||||||
| 3 [5:45] | Wakatabna AAalayhim feeha annaalnnafsa bialnnafsi waalAAayna bialAAayniwaal-anfa bial-anfi waalothuna bialothuniwaalssinna bialssinni waaljurooha qisasunfaman tasaddaqa bihi fahuwa kaffaratun lahu wamanlam yahkum bima anzala Allahu faola-ikahumu alththalimoona | وكتبنا عليهم فيها أن النفس بالنفس والعين بالعين والأنف بالأنف والأذن بالأذن والسن بالسن والجروح قصاص فمن تصدق به فهو كفارة له ومن لم يحكم بما أنزل الله فأولئك هم الظالمون وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالْأَنفَ بِالْأَنفِ وَالْأُذُنَ بِالْأُذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَّهُ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللّهُ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكتبنا - And We ordained| عليهم - for them| فيها - in it| أن - that -| النفس - the life| بالنفس - for the life,| والعين - and the eye| بالعين - for the eye,| والأنف - and the nose| بالأنف - for the nose,| والأذن - and the ear| بالأذن - for the ear,| والسن - and the tooth| بالسن - for the tooth,| والجروح - and (for) wounds| قصاص - (is) retribution.| فمن - But whoever| تصدق - gives charity| به - with it,| فهو - then it is| كفارة - an expiation| له - for him.| ومن - And whoever| لم - (does) not| يحكم - judge| بما - by what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah,| فأولئك - then those| هم - [they]| الظالمون - (are) the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 4 [6:17] | Wa-in yamsaska Allahu bidurrinfala kashifa lahu illa huwa wa-in yamsaskabikhayrin fahuwa AAala kulli shay-in qadeerun | وإن يمسسك الله بضر فلا كاشف له إلا هو وإن يمسسك بخير فهو على كل شيء قدير وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ اللّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلاَ كَاشِفَ لَهُ إِلاَّ هُوَ وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And if| يمسسك - touches you| الله - Allah| بضر - with affliction| فلا - then no| كاشف - remover| له - of it| إلا - except| هو - Him.| وإن - And if| يمسسك - He touches you| بخير - with good,| فهو - then He| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 5 [6:136] | WajaAAaloo lillahi mimma tharaamina alharthi waal-anAAami naseebanfaqaloo hatha lillahi bizaAAmihim wahathalishuraka-ina fama kana lishuraka-ihimfala yasilu ila Allahi wama kanalillahi fahuwa yasilu ila shuraka-ihimsaa ma yahkumoona | وجعلوا لله مما ذرأ من الحرث والأنعام نصيبا فقالوا هذا لله بزعمهم وهذا لشركائنا فما كان لشركائهم فلا يصل إلى الله وما كان لله فهو يصل إلى شركائهم ساء ما يحكمون وَجَعَلُواْ لِلّهِ مِمِّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ الْحَرْثِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ نَصِيبًا فَقَالُواْ هَـذَا لِلّهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَـذَا لِشُرَكَآئِنَا فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ فَلاَ يَصِلُ إِلَى اللّهِ وَمَا كَانَ لِلّهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَى شُرَكَآئِهِمْ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وجعلوا - And they assign| لله - to Allah| مما - out of what| ذرأ - He produced| من - of| الحرث - the crops| والأنعام - and the cattle| نصيبا - a share| فقالوا - and they say,| هذا - "This| لله - (is) for Allah,"| بزعمهم - by their claim,| وهذا - "And this| لشركائنا - (is) for our partners."| فما - But what| كان - is| لشركائهم - for their partners| فلا - (does) not| يصل - reach| إلى - [to]| الله - Allah,| وما - while what| كان - is| لله - for Allah| فهو - then it| يصل - reaches| إلى - [to]| شركائهم - their partners.| ساء - Evil| ما - (is) what| يحكمون - they judge.| | ||||||
| 6 [7:178] | Man yahdi Allahu fahuwa almuhtadeewaman yudlil faola-ika humu alkhasiroona | من يهد الله فهو المهتدي ومن يضلل فأولئك هم الخاسرون مَن يَهْدِ اللّهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِي وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |من - Whoever| يهد - (is) guided| الله - (by) Allah| فهو - then he| المهتدي - (is) the guided one| ومن - while whoever| يضلل - He lets go astray| فأولئك - then those| هم - [they]| الخاسرون - (are) the losers.| | ||||||
| 7 [8:19] | In tastaftihoo faqad jaakumualfathu wa-in tantahoo fahuwa khayrun lakum wa-intaAAoodoo naAAud walan tughniya AAankum fi-atukum shay-an walawkathurat waanna Allaha maAAa almu/mineena | إن تستفتحوا فقد جاءكم الفتح وإن تنتهوا فهو خير لكم وإن تعودوا نعد ولن تغني عنكم فئتكم شيئا ولو كثرت وأن الله مع المؤمنين إِن تَسْتَفْتِحُواْ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ وَإِن تَنتَهُواْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَإِن تَعُودُواْ نَعُدْ وَلَن تُغْنِيَ عَنكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَوْ كَثُرَتْ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - If| تستفتحوا - you ask for victory| فقد - then certainly| جاءكم - has come to you| الفتح - the victory.| وإن - And if| تنتهوا - you desist,| فهو - then it (is)| خير - good| لكم - for you,| وإن - but if| تعودوا - you return,| نعد - We will return (too).| ولن - And never| تغني - will avail| عنكم - you| فئتكم - your forces| شيئا - anything,| ولو - even if| كثرت - (they are) numerous.| وأن - And that| الله - Allah| مع - (is) with| المؤمنين - the believers.| | ||||||
| 8 [9:3] | Waathanun mina Allahiwarasoolihi ila alnnasi yawma alhajjial-akbari anna Allaha baree-on mina almushrikeenawarasooluhu fa-in tubtum fahuwa khayrun lakum wa-in tawallaytumfaiAAlamoo annakum ghayru muAAjizee Allahiwabashshiri allatheena kafaroo biAAathabin aleemin | وأذان من الله ورسوله إلى الناس يوم الحج الأكبر أن الله بريء من المشركين ورسوله فإن تبتم فهو خير لكم وإن توليتم فاعلموا أنكم غير معجزي الله وبشر الذين كفروا بعذاب أليم وَأَذَانٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْحَجِّ الْأَكْبَرِ أَنَّ اللّهَ بَرِيءٌ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَرَسُولُهُ فَإِن تُبْتُمْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللّهِ وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ | |||||
| Words | |وأذان - And an announcement| من - from Allah| الله - from Allah| ورسوله - and His Messenger| إلى - to| الناس - the people| يوم - (on the) day| الحج - (of) the greater Pilgrimage| الأكبر - (of) the greater Pilgrimage| أن - that| الله - Allah| بريء - (is) free from obligations| من - [of]| المشركين - (to) the polytheists,| ورسوله - and (so is) His Messenger.| فإن - So if| تبتم - you repent,| فهو - then, it is| خير - best| لكم - for you.| وإن - But if| توليتم - you turn away| فاعلموا - then know| أنكم - that you| غير - (can) not| معجزي - escape| الله - Allah.| وبشر - And give glad tidings| الذين - (to) those who| كفروا - disbelieve| بعذاب - of a punishment| أليم - painful.| | ||||||
| 9 [12:75] | Qaloo jazaohu man wujida feerahlihi fahuwa jazaohu kathalika najzee alththalimeena | قالوا جزاؤه من وجد في رحله فهو جزاؤه كذلك نجزي الظالمين قَالُواْ جَزَآؤُهُ مَن وُجِدَ فِي رَحْلِهِ فَهُوَ جَزَاؤُهُ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| جزاؤه - "Its recompense| من - (is that one) who,| وجد - it is found| في - in| رحله - his bag,| فهو - then he| جزاؤه - (will be) his recompense.| كذلك - Thus| نجزي - (do) we recompense| الظالمين - the wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 10 [12:84] | Watawalla AAanhum waqala yaasafa AAala yoosufa waibyaddat AAaynahumina alhuzni fahuwa katheemun | وتولى عنهم وقال يا أسفى على يوسف وابيضت عيناه من الحزن فهو كظيم وَتَوَلَّى عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَا أَسَفَى عَلَى يُوسُفَ وَابْيَضَّتْ عَيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْحُزْنِ فَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وتولى - And he turned away| عنهم - from them| وقال - and said,| يا - O| أسفى - "Alas, my grief| على - over| يوسف - Yusuf!"| وابيضت - And became white| عيناه - his eyes| من - from| الحزن - the grief,| فهو - and he (was)| كظيم - a suppressor.| | ||||||
| 11 [16:63] | TaAllahi laqad arsalnaila omamin min qablika fazayyana lahumu alshshaytanuaAAmalahum fahuwa waliyyuhumu alyawma walahum AAathabunaleemun | تالله لقد أرسلنا إلى أمم من قبلك فزين لهم الشيطان أعمالهم فهو وليهم اليوم ولهم عذاب أليم تَاللّهِ لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَى أُمَمٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ الْيَوْمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |تالله - By Allah,| لقد - certainly| أرسلنا - We have sent| إلى - to| أمم - nations| من - before you| قبلك - before you| فزين - but made fair-seeming| لهم - to them| الشيطان - the Shaitaan| أعمالهم - their deeds.| فهو - So he| وليهم - (is) their ally| اليوم - today,| ولهم - and for them| عذاب - (is) a punishment| أليم - painful.| | ||||||
| 12 [16:75] | Daraba Allahu mathalan AAabdanmamlookan la yaqdiru AAala shay-in waman razaqnahuminna rizqan hasanan fahuwa yunfiqu minhu sirranwajahran hal yastawoona alhamdu lillahi balaktharuhum la yaAAlamoona | ضرب الله مثلا عبدا مملوكا لا يقدر على شيء ومن رزقناه منا رزقا حسنا فهو ينفق منه سرا وجهرا هل يستوون الحمد لله بل أكثرهم لا يعلمون ضَرَبَ اللّهُ مَثَلاً عَبْدًا مَّمْلُوكًا لاَّ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ وَمَن رَّزَقْنَاهُ مِنَّا رِزْقًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ يُنفِقُ مِنْهُ سِرًّا وَجَهْرًا هَلْ يَسْتَوُونَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ضرب - Allah sets forth| الله - Allah sets forth| مثلا - the example| عبدا - (of) a slave| مملوكا - (who is) owned,| لا - not| يقدر - he has power| على - on| شيء - anything| ومن - and (one) whom| رزقناه - We provided him| منا - from Us| رزقا - a provision| حسنا - good,| فهو - so he| ينفق - spends| منه - from it,| سرا - secretly| وجهرا - and publicly.| هل - Can| يستوون - they be equal?| الحمد - All praise| لله - (is) for Allah!| بل - Nay,| أكثرهم - but most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 13 [17:72] | Waman kana fee hathihi aAAmafahuwa fee al-akhirati aAAma waadallu sabeelan | ومن كان في هذه أعمى فهو في الآخرة أعمى وأضل سبيلا وَمَن كَانَ فِي هَـذِهِ أَعْمَى فَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ أَعْمَى وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And whoever| كان - is| في - in| هذه - this (world)| أعمى - blind,| فهو - then he| في - in| الآخرة - the Hereafter| أعمى - (will be) blind,| وأضل - and more astray| سبيلا - (from the) path.| | ||||||
| 14 [17:97] | Waman yahdi Allahu fahuwa almuhtadiwaman yudlil falan tajida lahum awliyaa min doonihiwanahshuruhum yawma alqiyamati AAalawujoohihim AAumyan wabukman wasumman ma/wahumjahannamu kullama khabat zidnahum saAAeeran | ومن يهد الله فهو المهتد ومن يضلل فلن تجد لهم أولياء من دونه ونحشرهم يوم القيامة على وجوههم عميا وبكما وصما مأواهم جهنم كلما خبت زدناهم سعيرا وَمَن يَهْدِ اللّهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِن دُونِهِ وَنَحْشُرُهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ عُمْيًا وَبُكْمًا وَصُمًّا مَّأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ كُلَّمَا خَبَتْ زِدْنَاهُمْ سَعِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And whoever| يهد - Allah guides| الله - Allah guides| فهو - then he (is)| المهتد - the guided one;| ومن - and whoever| يضلل - He lets go astray -| فلن - then never| تجد - you will find| لهم - for them| أولياء - protectors| من - besides Him.| دونه - besides Him.| ونحشرهم - And We will gather them| يوم - (on) the Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection| على - on| وجوههم - their faces -| عميا - blind| وبكما - and dumb| وصما - and deaf.| مأواهم - Their abode| جهنم - (is) Hell;| كلما - every time| خبت - it subsides,| زدناهم - We (will) increase (for) them| سعيرا - the blazing fire.| | ||||||
| 15 [18:17] | Watara alshshamsa itha talaAAattazawaru AAan kahfihim thata alyameeni wa-ithagharabat taqriduhum thata alshshimaliwahum fee fajwatin minhu thalika min ayatiAllahi man yahdi Allahu fahuwa almuhtadi waman yudlilfalan tajida lahu waliyyan murshidan | وترى الشمس إذا طلعت تزاور عن كهفهم ذات اليمين وإذا غربت تقرضهم ذات الشمال وهم في فجوة منه ذلك من آيات الله من يهد الله فهو المهتد ومن يضلل فلن تجد له وليا مرشدا وَتَرَى الشَّمْسَ إِذَا طَلَعَت تَّزَاوَرُ عَن كَهْفِهِمْ ذَاتَ الْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا غَرَبَت تَّقْرِضُهُمْ ذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ وَهُمْ فِي فَجْوَةٍ مِّنْهُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ مَن يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُ وَلِيًّا مُّرْشِدًا | |||||
| Words | |وترى - And you (might) have seen| الشمس - the sun,| إذا - when| طلعت - it rose,| تزاور - inclining away| عن - from| كهفهم - their cave| ذات - to| اليمين - the right,| وإذا - and when| غربت - it set,| تقرضهم - passing away from them| ذات - to| الشمال - the left| وهم - while they| في - (lay) in| فجوة - the open space| منه - thereof.| ذلك - That| من - (was) from| آيات - (the) Signs| الله - (of) Allah.| من - Whoever| يهد - Allah guides| الله - Allah guides| فهو - and he| المهتد - (is) the guided one,| ومن - and whoever| يضلل - He lets go astray| فلن - then never| تجد - you will find| له - for him| وليا - a protector,| مرشدا - a guide.| | ||||||
| 16 [22:30] | Thalika waman yuAAaththimhurumati Allahi fahuwa khayrun lahu AAindarabbihi waohillat lakumu al-anAAamu illa mayutla AAalaykum faijtaniboo alrrijsa minaal-awthani waijtaniboo qawla alzzoori | ذلك ومن يعظم حرمات الله فهو خير له عند ربه وأحلت لكم الأنعام إلا ما يتلى عليكم فاجتنبوا الرجس من الأوثان واجتنبوا قول الزور ذَلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَاتِ اللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ وَأُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُ الْأَنْعَامُ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الْأَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ | |||||
| Words | |ذلك - That| ومن - and whoever| يعظم - honors| حرمات - (the) sacred rites| الله - (of) Allah,| فهو - then it| خير - (is) best| له - for him| عند - near| ربه - his Lord.| وأحلت - And are made lawful| لكم - to you| الأنعام - the cattle| إلا - except| ما - what| يتلى - is recited| عليكم - to you.| فاجتنبوا - So avoid| الرجس - the abomination| من - of| الأوثان - the idols| واجتنبوا - and avoid| قول - (the) word| الزور - false.| | ||||||
| 17 [26:78] | Allathee khalaqanee fahuwa yahdeeni | الذي خلقني فهو يهدين الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ | |||||
| Words | |الذي - The One Who| خلقني - created me,| فهو - and He| يهدين - guides me.| | ||||||
| 18 [26:80] | Wa-itha maridtu fahuwayashfeeni | وإذا مرضت فهو يشفين وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ | |||||

| 19 [28:61] | Afaman waAAadnahu waAAdan hasananfahuwa laqeehi kaman mattaAAnahu mataAAa alhayatialddunya thumma huwa yawma alqiyamati minaalmuhdareena | أفمن وعدناه وعدا حسنا فهو لاقيه كمن متعناه متاع الحياة الدنيا ثم هو يوم القيامة من المحضرين أَفَمَن وَعَدْنَاهُ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ لَاقِيهِ كَمَن مَّتَّعْنَاهُ مَتَاعَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ هُوَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |أفمن - Then is (he) whom| وعدناه - We have promised him| وعدا - a promise| حسنا - good,| فهو - and he| لاقيه - (will) meet it,| كمن - like (the one) whom| متعناه - We provided him| متاع - enjoyment| الحياة - (of the) life| الدنيا - (of) the world| ثم - then| هو - he| يوم - (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection| من - (will be) among| المحضرين - those presented?| | ||||||
