1 [8:19] | In tastaftihoo faqad jaakumualfathu wa-in tantahoo fahuwa khayrun lakum wa-intaAAoodoo naAAud walan tughniya AAankum fi-atukum shay-an walawkathurat waanna Allaha maAAa almu/mineena
| إن تستفتحوا فقد جاءكم الفتح وإن تنتهوا فهو خير لكم وإن تعودوا نعد ولن تغني عنكم فئتكم شيئا ولو كثرت وأن الله مع المؤمنين إِن تَسْتَفْتِحُواْ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ وَإِن تَنتَهُواْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَإِن تَعُودُواْ نَعُدْ وَلَن تُغْنِيَ عَنكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَوْ كَثُرَتْ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
Words | |إن - If| تستفتحوا - you ask for victory| فقد - then certainly| جاءكم - has come to you| الفتح - the victory.| وإن - And if| تنتهوا - you desist,| فهو - then it (is)| خير - good| لكم - for you,| وإن - but if| تعودوا - you return,| نعد - We will return (too).| ولن - And never| تغني - will avail| عنكم - you| فئتكم - your forces| شيئا - anything,| ولو - even if| كثرت - (they are) numerous.| وأن - And that| الله - Allah| مع - (is) with| المؤمنين - the believers.| |

| ፍትሕን (ፍርድን) ብትጠይቁ ፍትሑ በእርግጥ መጥቶላችኋል፡፡ (ክህደትንና መዋጋትን) ብትከለከሉም እርሱ ለእናንተ የተሻለ ነው፡፡ (ወደ መጋደል) ብትመለሱም እንመለሳለን፡፡ ሰራዊታችሁም ብትበዛም እንኳ ከናንተ ምንም አትጠቅማችሁም፡፡ አላህም ከምእምናን ጋር ነው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { إن تستفتحوا } أيها الكفار إن تطلبوا الفتح أي القضاء حيث قال أبو جهل منكم: اللهم أينا كان أقطع للرحمن وأتانا بما لا نعرف فأحنه الغداة أي أهلكه { فقد جاءكم الفتح } القضاء بهلاك من هو كذلك وهو أبو جهل ومن قتل معه دون النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم والمؤمنين { وإن تنتهوا } عن الكفر والحرب { فهو خير لكم وإن تعودوا } لقتال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم { نعد } لنصره عليكم { ولن تغني } تدفع { عنكم فئتكم } جماعاتكم { شيئا ولو كثرت وإنَّ الله مع المؤمنين } بكسر إن استئنافا وفتحها على تقدير اللام . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তোমরা যদি মীমাংসা কামনা কর, তাহলে তোমাদের নিকট মীমাংসা পৌছে গেছে। আর যদি তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তন কর, তবে তা তোমাদের জন্য উত্তম এবং তোমরা যদি তাই কর, তবে আমি ও তেমনি করব। বস্তুতঃ তোমাদের কোনই কাজে আসবে না তোমাদের দল-বল, তা যত বেশীই হোক। জেনে রেখ আল্লাহ রয়েছেন ঈমানদারদের সাথে। |
Literal | If you seek victory , so the opening/victory had come to you, and if you end/terminate/stop, so it is best for you, and if you return, We return, and your group will never enrich/satisfy at you a thing, and even if (it) became much/plenty , and that God (is) with the believers. |
Yusuf Ali | (O Unbelievers!) if ye prayed for victory and judgment, now hath the judgment come to you: if ye desist (from wrong), it will be best for you: if ye return (to the attack), so shall We. Not the least good will your forces be to you even if they were multiplied: for verily Allah is with those who believe! |
Pickthal | (O Qureysh!) If ye sought a judgment, now hath the judgment come unto you. And if ye cease (from persecuting the believers) it will be better for you, but if ye return (to the attack) We also shall return. And your host will avail you naught, however numerous it be, and (know) that Allah is with the believers (in His Guidance). |
Arberry | If victory you are seeking, victory has already come upon you; and if you give over, it is better for you. But if you return, We shall return, and your host will avail you nothing though it be numerous; and that God is with the believers. |
Shakir | If you demanded a judgment, the judgment has then indeed come to you; and if you desist, it will be better for you; and if you turn back (to fight), We (too) shall turn back, and your forces shall avail you nothing, though they may be many, and (know) that Allah is with the believers. |
Sarwar | If you (the pagans) are looking for conquest, you certainly had a great chance (at the battle of Badr). But if you were to give up such a desire, it would be better for you. If you again wage war against Us, We will be ready for such a confrontation. Your man-power will be of no help to you no matter how much you have; God is with the believers. |
H/K/Saheeh | If you [disbelievers] seek the victory the defeat has come to you. And if you desist [from hostilities], it is best for you; but if you return [to war], We will return, and never will you be availed by your [large] company at all, even if it should increase; and [that is] because Allah is with the believers. |
Malik | O unbelievers! You wanted a decision; lo! The decision, in shape of the believers' victory, has come to you. Now if you desist, it will be better for you, and if you repeat your act of war against the believers, so shall We repeat the act of providing them assistance, and your forces, however large in number they may be, shall avail you nothing, for verily Allah is with the believers.[19] |

Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary | (کافرو) اگر تم (محمد صلی الله علیہ وآلہ وسلم پر) فتح چاہتے ہو تو تمہارے پاس فتح آچکی۔ (دیکھو) اگر تم (اپنے افعال سے) باز آجاؤ تو تمہارے حق میں بہتر ہے۔ اور اگر پھر (نافرمانی) کرو گے تو ہم بھی پھر تمہیں عذاب کریں گے اور تمہاری جماعت خواہ کتنی ہی کثیر ہو تمہارے کچھ بھی کام نہ آئے گی۔ اور خدا تو مومنوں کے ساتھ ہے |
