| 1 [2:102] | WaittabaAAoo ma tatloo alshshayateenuAAala mulki sulaymana wama kafara sulaymanuwalakinna alshshayateena kafarooyuAAallimoona alnnasa alssihra wamaonzila AAala almalakayni bibabila harootawamaroota wama yuAAallimani min ahadinhatta yaqoola innama nahnufitnatun fala takfur fayataAAallamoona minhuma mayufarriqoona bihi bayna almar-i wazawjihi wama hum bidarreenabihi min ahadin illa bi-ithni AllahiwayataAAallamoona ma yadurruhum walayanfaAAuhum walaqad AAalimoo lamani ishtarahu malahu fee al-akhirati min khalaqin walabi/sa masharaw bihi anfusahum law kanoo yaAAlamoona |  واتبعوا ما تتلو الشياطين على ملك سليمان وما كفر سليمان ولكن الشياطين كفروا يعلمون الناس السحر وما أنزل على الملكين ببابل هاروت وماروت وما يعلمان من أحد حتى يقولا إنما نحن فتنة فلا تكفر فيتعلمون منهما ما يفرقون به بين المرء وزوجه وما هم بضارين به من أحد إلا بإذن الله ويتعلمون ما يضرهم ولا ينفعهم ولقد علموا لمن اشتراه ما له في الآخرة من خلاق ولبئس ما شروا به أنفسهم لو كانوا يعلمونوَاتَّبَعُواْ مَا تَتْلُواْ الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَـكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُولاَ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلاَ تَكْفُرْ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ وَمَا هُم بِضَآرِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلاَ يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُواْ لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاَقٍ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْاْ بِهِ أَنفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |واتبعوا - And they followed| ما - what| تتلو - recite(d)| الشياطين - the devils| على - over| ملك - (the) kingdom| سليمان - (of) Sulaiman.| وما - And not| كفر - disbelieved| سليمان - Sulaiman| ولكن - [and] but| الشياطين - the devils| كفروا - disbelieved,| يعلمون - they teach| الناس - the people| السحر - [the] magic| وما - and what| أنزل - was sent down| على - to| الملكين - the two angels| ببابل - in Babylon,| هاروت - Harut| وماروت - and Marut.| وما - And not| يعلمان - they both teach| من - any| أحد - one| حتى - unless| يقولا - they [both] say,| إنما - "Only| نحن - we| فتنة - (are) a trial,| فلا - so (do) not| تكفر - disbelieve."| فيتعلمون - But they learn| منهما - from those two| ما - what| يفرقون - [they] causes separation| به - with it| بين - between| المرء - the man| وزوجه - and his spouse.| وما - And not| هم - they (could)| بضارين - at all [be those who] harm| به - with it| من - any| أحد - one| إلا - except| بإذن - by permission| الله - (of) Allah.| ويتعلمون - And they learn| ما - what| يضرهم - harms them| ولا - and not| ينفعهم - profits them.| ولقد - And indeed| علموا - they knew| لمن - that whoever| اشتراه - buys it,| ما - not| له - for him| في - in| الآخرة - the Hereafter| من - any| خلاق - share.| ولبئس - And surely evil| ما - (is) what| شروا - they sold| به - with it| أنفسهم - themselves,| لو - if| كانوا - they were| يعلمون - (to) know.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:193] | Waqatiloohum hatta latakoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu lillahi fa-iniintahaw fala AAudwana illa AAala alththalimeena | وقاتلوهم حتى لا تكون فتنة ويكون الدين لله فإن انتهوا فلا عدوان إلا على الظالمين وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لاَ تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ لِلّهِ فَإِنِ انتَهَواْ فَلاَ عُدْوَانَ إِلاَّ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وقاتلوهم - And fight (against) them| حتى - until| لا - not| تكون - (there) is| فتنة - oppression,| ويكون - and becomes| الدين - the religion| لله - for Allah| فإن - Then if| انتهوا - they cease| فلا - then (let there be) no| عدوان - hostility| إلا - except| على - against| الظالمين - the oppressors.| | ||||||
| 3 [5:71] | Wahasiboo alla takoonafitnatun faAAamoo wasammoo thumma taba AllahuAAalayhim thumma AAamoo wasammoo katheerun minhum waAllahubaseerun bima yaAAmaloona | وحسبوا ألا تكون فتنة فعموا وصموا ثم تاب الله عليهم ثم عموا وصموا كثير منهم والله بصير بما يعملون وَحَسِبُواْ أَلاَّ تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ فَعَمُواْ وَصَمُّواْ ثُمَّ تَابَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ عَمُواْ وَصَمُّواْ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ وَاللّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وحسبوا - And they thought| ألا - that not| تكون - will be (for them)| فتنة - a trial,| فعموا - so they became blind| وصموا - and they became deaf.| ثم - Then| تاب - turned| الله - Allah| عليهم - to them,| ثم - then (again)| عموا - they became blind| وصموا - and they became deaf,| كثير - many| منهم - of them.| والله - And Allah| بصير - (is) All-Seer| بما - of what| يعملون - they do.| | ||||||
| 4 [8:25] | Waittaqoo fitnatan la tuseebannaallatheena thalamoo minkum khassatanwaiAAlamoo anna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi | واتقوا فتنة لا تصيبن الذين ظلموا منكم خاصة واعلموا أن الله شديد العقاب وَاتَّقُواْ فِتْنَةً لاَّ تُصِيبَنَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مِنكُمْ خَآصَّةً وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ | |||||
| Words | |واتقوا - And fear| فتنة - a trial| لا - not| تصيبن - which will afflict| الذين - those who| ظلموا - do wrong| منكم - among you| خاصة - exclusively.| واعلموا - And know| أن - that| الله - Allah| شديد - (is) severe| العقاب - (in) the penalty.| | ||||||
| 5 [8:28] | WaiAAlamoo annama amwalukumwaawladukum fitnatun waanna Allaha AAindahu ajrunAAatheemun | واعلموا أنما أموالكم وأولادكم فتنة وأن الله عنده أجر عظيم وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلاَدُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ عِندَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |واعلموا - And know| أنما - that| أموالكم - your wealth| وأولادكم - and your children| فتنة - (are) a trial.| وأن - And that| الله - Allah -| عنده - with Him| أجر - (is) a reward| عظيم - great.| | ||||||
| 6 [8:39] | Waqatiloohum hatta latakoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu kulluhu lillahifa-ini intahaw fa-inna Allaha bima yaAAmaloona baseerun | وقاتلوهم حتى لا تكون فتنة ويكون الدين كله لله فإن انتهوا فإن الله بما يعملون بصير وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لاَ تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ كُلُّهُ لِلّهِ فَإِنِ انتَهَوْاْ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |وقاتلوهم - And fight them| حتى - until| لا - not| تكون - there is| فتنة - oppression| ويكون - and is| الدين - the religion| كله - all of it| لله - for Allah.| فإن - But if| انتهوا - they cease,| فإن - then indeed,| الله - Allah| بما - of what| يعملون - they do| بصير - (is) All-Seer.| | ||||||
| 7 [8:73] | Waallatheena kafaroo baAAduhumawliyao baAAdin illa tafAAaloohu takunfitnatun fee al-ardi wafasadun kabeerun | والذين كفروا بعضهم أولياء بعض إلا تفعلوه تكن فتنة في الأرض وفساد كبير وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ إِلاَّ تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُن فِتْنَةٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ كَبِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| بعضهم - some of them| أولياء - (are) allies| بعض - (to) another.| إلا - If not| تفعلوه - you do it,| تكن - (there) will be| فتنة - oppression| في - in| الأرض - the earth| وفساد - and corruption| كبير - great.| | ||||||
| 8 [10:85] | Faqaloo AAala Allahitawakkalna rabbana la tajAAalnafitnatan lilqawmi alththalimeena | فقالوا على الله توكلنا ربنا لا تجعلنا فتنة للقوم الظالمين فَقَالُواْ عَلَى اللّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لاَ تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فقالوا - Then they said,| على - "Upon| الله - Allah| توكلنا - we put our trust.| ربنا - Our Lord!| لا - (Do) not| تجعلنا - make us| فتنة - a trial| للقوم - for the people -| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 9 [17:60] | Wa-ith qulna laka inna rabbakaahata bialnnasi wama jaAAalnaalrru/ya allatee araynaka illafitnatan lilnnasi waalshshajarataalmalAAoonata fee alqur-ani wanukhawwifuhum famayazeeduhum illa tughyanan kabeeran | وإذ قلنا لك إن ربك أحاط بالناس وما جعلنا الرؤيا التي أريناك إلا فتنة للناس والشجرة الملعونة في القرآن ونخوفهم فما يزيدهم إلا طغيانا كبيرا وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لَكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ أَحَاطَ بِالنَّاسِ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الرُّؤيَا الَّتِي أَرَيْنَاكَ إِلاَّ فِتْنَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَالشَّجَرَةَ الْمَلْعُونَةَ فِي القُرْآنِ وَنُخَوِّفُهُمْ فَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلاَّ طُغْيَانًا كَبِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said| لك - to you,| إن - "Indeed,| ربك - your Lord| أحاط - has encompassed| بالناس - the mankind."| وما - And not| جعلنا - We made| الرؤيا - the vision| التي - which| أريناك - We showed you| إلا - except| فتنة - (as) a trial| للناس - for mankind,| والشجرة - and the tree| الملعونة - the accursed| في - in| القرآن - the Quran.| ونخوفهم - And We threaten them| فما - but not| يزيدهم - it increases them| إلا - except| طغيانا - (in) transgression| كبيرا - great.| | ||||||
| 10 [21:35] | Kullu nafsin tha-iqatu almawtiwanablookum bialshsharri waalkhayri fitnatanwa-ilayna turjaAAoona | كل نفس ذائقة الموت ونبلوكم بالشر والخير فتنة وإلينا ترجعون كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |كل - Every| نفس - soul| ذائقة - (will) taste| الموت - [the] death.| ونبلوكم - And We test you| بالشر - with [the] bad| والخير - and [the] good| فتنة - (as) a trial;| وإلينا - and to Us| ترجعون - you will be returned.| | ||||||
| 11 [21:111] | Wa-in adree laAAallahu fitnatun lakum wamataAAunila heenin | وإن أدري لعله فتنة لكم ومتاع إلى حين وَإِنْ أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ فِتْنَةٌ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِينٍ | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And not| أدري - I know,| لعله - perhaps it may be| فتنة - a trial| لكم - for you,| ومتاع - and an enjoyment| إلى - for| حين - a time."| | ||||||
| 12 [22:11] | Wamina alnnasi man yaAAbuduAllaha AAala harfin fa-in asabahukhayrun itmaanna bihi wa-in asabat-hu fitnatuninqalaba AAala wajhihi khasira alddunya waal-akhiratathalika huwa alkhusranu almubeenu | ومن الناس من يعبد الله على حرف فإن أصابه خير اطمأن به وإن أصابته فتنة انقلب على وجهه خسر الدنيا والآخرة ذلك هو الخسران المبين وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ عَلَى حَرْفٍ فَإِنْ أَصَابَهُ خَيْرٌ اطْمَأَنَّ بِهِ وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ فِتْنَةٌ انقَلَبَ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ خَسِرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةَ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْخُسْرَانُ الْمُبِينُ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And among| الناس - the mankind| من - (is he) who| يعبد - worships| الله - Allah| على - on| حرف - an edge.| فإن - And if| أصابه - befalls him| خير - good,| اطمأن - he is content| به - with it,| وإن - and if| أصابته - befalls him| فتنة - a trial| انقلب - he turns| على - on| وجهه - his face.| خسر - He has lost| الدنيا - the world| والآخرة - and the Hereafter.| ذلك - That| هو - [it]| الخسران - (is) the loss| المبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 13 [22:53] | LiyajAAala ma yulqee alshshaytanufitnatan lillatheena fee quloobihim maradun waalqasiyatiquloobuhum wa-inna alththalimeenalafee shiqaqin baAAeedin | ليجعل ما يلقي الشيطان فتنة للذين في قلوبهم مرض والقاسية قلوبهم وإن الظالمين لفي شقاق بعيد لِيَجْعَلَ مَا يُلْقِي الشَّيْطَانُ فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ وَالْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ لَفِي شِقَاقٍ بَعِيدٍ | |||||
| Words | |ليجعل - That He may make| ما - what| يلقي - the Shaitaan throws| الشيطان - the Shaitaan throws| فتنة - a trial| للذين - for those| في - in| قلوبهم - their hearts| مرض - (is) a disease,| والقاسية - and (are) hardened| قلوبهم - their hearts.| وإن - And indeed,| الظالمين - the wrongdoers| لفي - (are) surely, in| شقاق - schism| بعيد - far.| | ||||||
| 14 [24:63] | La tajAAaloo duAAaa alrrasoolibaynakum kaduAAa-i baAAdikum baAAdan qadyaAAlamu Allahu allatheena yatasallaloona minkumliwathan falyahthari allatheena yukhalifoonaAAan amrihi an tuseebahum fitnatun aw yuseebahumAAathabun aleemun | لا تجعلوا دعاء الرسول بينكم كدعاء بعضكم بعضا قد يعلم الله الذين يتسللون منكم لواذا فليحذر الذين يخالفون عن أمره أن تصيبهم فتنة أو يصيبهم عذاب أليم لَا تَجْعَلُوا دُعَاءَ الرَّسُولِ بَيْنَكُمْ كَدُعَاءِ بَعْضِكُم بَعْضًا قَدْ يَعْلَمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ يَتَسَلَّلُونَ مِنكُمْ لِوَاذًا فَلْيَحْذَرِ الَّذِينَ يُخَالِفُونَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِ أَن تُصِيبَهُمْ فِتْنَةٌ أَوْ يُصِيبَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |لا - (Do) not| تجعلوا - make| دعاء - (the) calling| الرسول - (of) the Messenger| بينكم - among you| كدعاء - as (the) call| بعضكم - (of) some of you| بعضا - (to) others.| قد - Verily,| يعلم - Allah knows| الله - Allah knows| الذين - those who| يتسللون - slip away| منكم - among you| لواذا - under shelter.| فليحذر - So let beware| الذين - those who| يخالفون - oppose| عن - [from]| أمره - his orders| أن - lest| تصيبهم - befalls them| فتنة - a trial| أو - or| يصيبهم - befalls them| عذاب - a punishment| أليم - painful.| | ||||||
| 15 [25:20] | Wama arsalna qablaka minaalmursaleena illa innahum laya/kuloona alttaAAamawayamshoona fee al-aswaqi wajaAAalna baAAdakumlibaAAdin fitnatan atasbiroona wakanarabbuka baseeran | وما أرسلنا قبلك من المرسلين إلا إنهم ليأكلون الطعام ويمشون في الأسواق وجعلنا بعضكم لبعض فتنة أتصبرون وكان ربك بصيرا وَما أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا إِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُونَ فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| أرسلنا - We sent| قبلك - before you| من - any| المرسلين - Messengers| إلا - but| إنهم - indeed, they| ليأكلون - [surely] ate| الطعام - food| ويمشون - and walked| في - in| الأسواق - the markets.| وجعلنا - And We have made| بعضكم - some of you| لبعض - for others| فتنة - a trial,| أتصبرون - will you have patience?| وكان - And is| ربك - your Lord| بصيرا - All-Seer.| | ||||||
| 16 [29:10] | Wamina alnnasi man yaqoolu amannabiAllahi fa-itha oothiya fee AllahijaAAala fitnata alnnasi kaAAathabi Allahiwala-in jaa nasrun min rabbika layaqoolunna innakunna maAAakum awa laysa Allahu bi-aAAlama bimafee sudoori alAAalameena | ومن الناس من يقول آمنا بالله فإذا أوذي في الله جعل فتنة الناس كعذاب الله ولئن جاء نصر من ربك ليقولن إنا كنا معكم أوليس الله بأعلم بما في صدور العالمين وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ فَإِذَا أُوذِيَ فِي اللَّهِ جَعَلَ فِتْنَةَ النَّاسِ كَعَذَابِ اللَّهِ وَلَئِن جَاءَ نَصْرٌ مِّن رَّبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّا كُنَّا مَعَكُمْ أَوَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِمَا فِي صُدُورِ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And of| الناس - the people| من - (is he) who| يقول - says,| آمنا - "We believe| بالله - in Allah."| فإذا - But when| أوذي - he is harmed| في - in| الله - (the Way of) Allah| جعل - he considers| فتنة - (the) trial| الناس - (of) the people| كعذاب - as (the) punishment| الله - (of) Allah.| ولئن - But if| جاء - comes| نصر - victory| من - from| ربك - your Lord,| ليقولن - surely they say,| إنا - "Indeed, we| كنا - were| معكم - with you."| أوليس - Is not| الله - Allah| بأعلم - most knowing| بما - of what| في - (is) in| صدور - (the) breasts| العالمين - (of) the worlds?| | ||||||
| 17 [37:63] | Inna jaAAalnahafitnatan lilththalimeena | إنا جعلناها فتنة للظالمين إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهَا فِتْنَةً لِّلظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إنا - Indeed, We| جعلناها - [We] have made it| فتنة - a trial| للظالمين - for the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 18 [39:49] | Fa-itha massa al-insana durrundaAAana thumma itha khawwalnahuniAAmatan minna qala innama ooteetuhu AAalaAAilmin bal hiya fitnatun walakinna aktharahum layaAAlamoona | فإذا مس الإنسان ضر دعانا ثم إذا خولناه نعمة منا قال إنما أوتيته على علم بل هي فتنة ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون فَإِذَا مَسَّ الْإِنسَانَ ضُرٌّ دَعَانَا ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلْنَاهُ نِعْمَةً مِّنَّا قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُوتِيتُهُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ بَلْ هِيَ فِتْنَةٌ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فإذا - So when| مس - touches| الإنسان - [the] man| ضر - adversity,| دعانا - he calls upon Us;| ثم - then| إذا - when| خولناه - We bestow (on) him| نعمة - a favor| منا - from Us,| قال - he says,| إنما - "Only,| أوتيته - I have been given it| على - for| علم - knowledge."| بل - Nay,| هي - it| فتنة - (is) a trial,| ولكن - but| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 19 [54:27] | Inna mursiloo alnnaqatifitnatan lahum fairtaqibhum waistabir | إنا مرسلو الناقة فتنة لهم فارتقبهم واصطبر إِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا النَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَّهُمْ فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ وَاصْطَبِرْ | |||||
| Words | |إنا - Indeed, We| مرسلو - (are) sending| الناقة - the she-camel| فتنة - (as) a trial| لهم - for them,| فارتقبهم - so watch them| واصطبر - and be patient.| | ||||||
| 20 [60:5] | Rabbana la tajAAalnafitnatan lillatheena kafaroo waighfir lanarabbana innaka anta alAAazeezu alhakeemu | ربنا لا تجعلنا فتنة للذين كفروا واغفر لنا ربنا إنك أنت العزيز الحكيم رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ | |||||
| Words | |ربنا - Our Lord,| لا - (do) not| تجعلنا - make us| فتنة - a trial| للذين - for those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| واغفر - and forgive| لنا - us,| ربنا - our Lord.| إنك - Indeed You| أنت - [You]| العزيز - (are) the All-Mighty,| الحكيم - the All-Wise."| | ||||||
