| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[21:111] | Wa-in adree laAAallahu fitnatun lakum wamataAAunila heenin
|  وإن أدري لعله فتنة لكم ومتاع إلى حين
وَإِنْ أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ فِتْنَةٌ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِينٍ |
| Words | |وإن - And not| أدري - I know,| لعله - perhaps it may be| فتنة - a trial| لكم - for you,| ومتاع - and an enjoyment| إلى - for| حين - a time."| |

| እርሱም (ቅጣትን ማቆየት) ምናልባት ለእናንተ ፈተናና እስከ ጊዜው መጠቃቀሚያ እንደሆነም አላውቅም፤ (በላቸው)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وإن } ما { أدري لعله } أي ما أعلمتكم به ولم يعلم وقته { فتنة } اختبار { لكم } ليرى كيف صنعكم { ومتاع } تمتع { إلى حين } أي انقضاء آجالكم وهذا مقابل للأول المترجى بلعل وليس الثاني محلا للترجي . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আমি জানি না সম্ভবতঃ বিলম্বের মধ্যে তোমাদের জন্যে একটি পরীক্ষা এবং এক সময় পর্যন্ত ভোগ করার সুযোগ। |
| Literal | And I do not know, maybe/perhaps it (is) a test/seduction for you and enjoyment to a time/period of time . |
| Yusuf Ali | "I know not but that it may be a trial for you, and a grant of (worldly) livelihood (to you) for a time." |
| Pickthal | And I know not but that this may be a trial for you, and enjoyment for a while. |
