| 2 [2:7] | Khatama Allahu AAala quloobihimwaAAala samAAihim waAAala absarihim ghishawatunwalahum AAathabun AAatheemun | ختم الله على قلوبهم وعلى سمعهم وعلى أبصارهم غشاوة ولهم عذاب عظيم خَتَمَ اللّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهمْ وَعَلَى سَمْعِهِمْ وَعَلَى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ وَّلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ختم - Has set a seal| الله - Allah| على - on| قلوبهم - their hearts| وعلى - and on| سمعهم - their hearing,| وعلى - and on| أبصارهم - their vision| غشاوة - (is) a veil.| ولهم - And for them| عذاب - (is) a punishment| عظيم - great.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:20] | Yakadu albarqu yakhtafu absarahumkullama adaa lahum mashaw feehi wa-itha athlamaAAalayhim qamoo walaw shaa Allahu lathahababisamAAihim waabsarihim inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeerun | يكاد البرق يخطف أبصارهم كلما أضاء لهم مشوا فيه وإذا أظلم عليهم قاموا ولو شاء الله لذهب بسمعهم وأبصارهم إن الله على كل شيء قدير يَكَادُ الْبَرْقُ يَخْطَفُ أَبْصَارَهُمْ كُلَّمَا أَضَاءَ لَهُم مَّشَوْاْ فِيهِ وَإِذَا أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَامُواْ وَلَوْ شَاء اللّهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَارِهِمْ إِنَّ اللَّه عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |يكاد - Almost| البرق - the lightning| يخطف - snatches away| أبصارهم - their sight.| كلما - Whenever| أضاء - it flashes| لهم - for them| مشوا - they walk| فيه - in it,| وإذا - and when| أظلم - it darkens| عليهم - on them| قاموا - they stand (still).| ولو - And if| شاء - had willed| الله - Allah,| لذهب - He would certainly have taken away| بسمعهم - their hearing,| وأبصارهم - and their sight.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 4 [2:23] | Wa-in kuntum fee raybin mimma nazzalnaAAala AAabdina fa/too bisooratin min mithlihi waodAAooshuhadaakum min dooni Allahi in kuntum sadiqeena | وإن كنتم في ريب مما نزلنا على عبدنا فأتوا بسورة من مثله وادعوا شهداءكم من دون الله إن كنتم صادقين وَإِنْ كُنتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُواْ بِسُورَةٍ مِّن مِّثْلِهِ وَادْعُواْ شُهَدَاءَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And if| كنتم - you are| في - in| ريب - doubt| مما - about what| نزلنا - We have revealed| على - to| عبدنا - Our slave,| فأتوا - then produce| بسورة - a chapter| من - [of]| مثله - like it| وادعوا - and call| شهداءكم - your witnesses| من - from| دون - other than| الله - Allah| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful.| | ||||||
| 5 [2:31] | WaAAallama adama al-asmaakullaha thumma AAaradahum AAala almala-ikatifaqala anbi-oonee bi-asma-i haola-iin kuntum sadiqeena | وعلم آدم الأسماء كلها ثم عرضهم على الملائكة فقال أنبئوني بأسماء هؤلاء إن كنتم صادقين وَعَلَّمَ آدَمَ الأَسْمَاءَ كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَى الْمَلاَئِكَةِ فَقَالَ أَنْبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاءِ هَـؤُلَاءِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وعلم - And He taught| آدم - Adam| الأسماء - the names -| كلها - all of them.| ثم - Then| عرضهم - He displayed them| على - to| الملائكة - the angels,| فقال - then He said,| أنبئوني - "Inform Me| بأسماء - of (the) names| هؤلاء - (of) these,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful."| | ||||||
| 6 [2:45] | WaistaAAeenoo bialssabriwaalssalati wa-innaha lakabeeratunilla AAala alkhashiAAeena | واستعينوا بالصبر والصلاة وإنها لكبيرة إلا على الخاشعين وَاسْتَعِينُواْ بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلاَةِ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلاَّ عَلَى الْخَاشِعِينَ | |||||
| Words | |واستعينوا - And seek help| بالصبر - through patience| والصلاة - and the prayer;| وإنها - and indeed, it| لكبيرة - (is) surely difficult| إلا - except| على - on| الخاشعين - the humble ones,| | ||||||
| 7 [2:47] | Ya banee isra-eela othkurooniAAmatiya allatee anAAamtu AAalaykum waannee faddaltukumAAala alAAalameena | يا بني إسرائيل اذكروا نعمتي التي أنعمت عليكم وأني فضلتكم على العالمين يَا بَنِي إِسْرَآئِيلَ اذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتِيَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَنِّي فَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||

| 8 [2:59] | Fabaddala allatheena thalamooqawlan ghayra allathee qeela lahum faanzalna AAalaallatheena thalamoo rijzan mina alssama-ibima kanoo yafsuqoona | فبدل الذين ظلموا قولا غير الذي قيل لهم فأنزلنا على الذين ظلموا رجزا من السماء بما كانوا يفسقون فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ قَوْلاً غَيْرَ الَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمْ فَأَنْـزَلْنَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ رِجْزاً مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْسُقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فبدل - But changed| الذين - those who| ظلموا - wronged| قولا - (the) word| غير - other (than)| الذي - (that) which| قيل - was said| لهم - to them;| فأنزلنا - so We sent down| على - upon| الذين - those who| ظلموا - wronged,| رجزا - a punishment| من - from| السماء - the sky| بما - because| كانوا - they were| يفسقون - defiantly disobeying.| | ||||||
| 9 [2:61] | Wa-ith qultum ya moosalan nasbira AAala taAAamin wahidinfaodAAu lana rabbaka yukhrij lana mimmatunbitu al-ardu min baqliha waqiththa-ihawafoomiha waAAadasiha wabasaliha qalaatastabdiloona allathee huwa adna biallatheehuwa khayrun ihbitoo misran fa-inna lakum masaaltum waduribat AAalayhimu alththillatu waalmaskanatuwabaoo bighadabin mina Allahi thalikabi-annahum kanoo yakfuroona bi-ayati Allahiwayaqtuloona alnnabiyyeena bighayri alhaqqi thalikabima AAasaw wakanoo yaAAtadoona | وإذ قلتم يا موسى لن نصبر على طعام واحد فادع لنا ربك يخرج لنا مما تنبت الأرض من بقلها وقثائها وفومها وعدسها وبصلها قال أتستبدلون الذي هو أدنى بالذي هو خير اهبطوا مصرا فإن لكم ما سألتم وضربت عليهم الذلة والمسكنة وباءوا بغضب من الله ذلك بأنهم كانوا يكفرون بآيات الله ويقتلون النبيين بغير الحق ذلك بما عصوا وكانوا يعتدون وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوسَى لَن نَّصْبِرَ عَلَى طَعَامٍ وَّاحِدٍ فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الأَرْضُ مِنْ بَقْلِهَا وَقِثَّآئِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُونَ الَّذِي هُوَ أَدْنَى بِالَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ اهْبِطُواْ مِصْراً فَإِنَّ لَكُم مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالْمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَآؤُوْاْ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَواْ وَّكَانُواْ يَعْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلتم - you said,| يا - O| موسى - "O Musa!| لن - Never (will)| نصبر - we endure| على - [on]| طعام - food| واحد - (of) one (kind),| فادع - so pray| لنا - for us| ربك - (to) your Lord| يخرج - to bring forth| لنا - for us| مما - out of what| تنبت - grows| الأرض - the earth,| من - of| بقلها - its herbs,| وقثائها - [and] its cucumbers,| وفومها - [and] its garlic,| وعدسها - [and] its lentils,| وبصلها - and its onions."| قال - He said,| أتستبدلون - "Would you exchange| الذي - that which| هو - [it]| أدنى - (is) inferior| بالذي - for that which| هو - [it]| خير - (is) better?| اهبطوا - Go down| مصرا - (to) a city,| فإن - so indeed| لكم - for you| ما - (is) what| سألتم - you have asked (for)."| وضربت - And were struck| عليهم - on them| الذلة - the humiliation| والمسكنة - and the misery| وباءوا - and they drew on themselves| بغضب - wrath| من - of| الله - Allah| ذلك - That (was)| بأنهم - because they| كانوا - used to| يكفرون - disbelieve| بآيات - in (the) Signs| الله - (of) Allah| ويقتلون - and kill| النبيين - the Prophets| بغير - without (any)| الحق - [the] right.| ذلك - That| بما - (was) because| عصوا - they disobeyed| وكانوا - and they were| يعتدون - transgressing.| | ||||||
| 10 [2:80] | Waqaloo lan tamassana alnnaruilla ayyaman maAAdoodatan qul attakhathtumAAinda Allahi AAahdan falan yukhlifa AllahuAAahdahu am taqooloona AAala Allahi ma lataAAlamoona | وقالوا لن تمسنا النار إلا أياما معدودة قل أتخذتم عند الله عهدا فلن يخلف الله عهده أم تقولون على الله ما لا تعلمون وَقَالُواْ لَنْ تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ إِلاَّ أَيَّاماً مَّعْدُوْدَةً قُلْ أَتَّخَذْتُمْ عِنْدَ اللّهِ عَهْدًا فَلَنْ يُّخْلِفَ اللّهُ عَهْدَهُ أَمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| لن - "Never| تمسنا - will touch us| النار - the Fire| إلا - except| أياما - (for) days| معدودة - numbered."| قل - Say,| أتخذتم - "Have you taken| عند - from| الله - Allah| عهدا - a covenant,| فلن - so never| يخلف - will break| الله - Allah| عهده - His Covenant?| أم - Or| تقولون - (do) you say| على - against| الله - Allah| ما - what| لا - not| تعلمون - you know?"| | ||||||
| 11 [2:89] | Walamma jaahum kitabunmin AAindi Allahi musaddiqun lima maAAahumwakanoo min qablu yastaftihoona AAala allatheenakafaroo falamma jaahum ma AAarafoo kafaroobihi falaAAnatu Allahi AAala alkafireena | ولما جاءهم كتاب من عند الله مصدق لما معهم وكانوا من قبل يستفتحون على الذين كفروا فلما جاءهم ما عرفوا كفروا به فلعنة الله على الكافرين وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ كِتَابٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ وَكَانُواْ مِن قَبْلُ يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ مَّا عَرَفُواْ كَفَرُواْ بِهِ فَلَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولما - And when| جاءهم - came to them| كتاب - a Book| من - of| عند - from| الله - Allah| مصدق - confirming| لما - what (was)| معهم - with them,| وكانوا - though they used to| من - from| قبل - before| يستفتحون - (that), pray for victory| على - over| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved -| فلما - then when| جاءهم - came to them| ما - what| عرفوا - they recognized,| كفروا - they disbelieved| به - in it.| فلعنة - So (the) curse| الله - (of) Allah| على - (is) on| الكافرين - the disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 12 [2:90] | Bi/sama ishtaraw bihi anfusahum anyakfuroo bima anzala Allahu baghyan an yunazzilaAllahu min fadlihi AAala man yashaomin AAibadihi fabaoo bighadabin AAalaghadabin walilkafireena AAathabun muheenun | بئسما اشتروا به أنفسهم أن يكفروا بما أنزل الله بغيا أن ينزل الله من فضله على من يشاء من عباده فباءوا بغضب على غضب وللكافرين عذاب مهين بِئْسَمَا اشْتَرَوْاْ بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ أَنْ يَّكْفُرُواْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللّهُ بَغْياً أَنْ يُّنَزِّلُ اللّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ عَلَى مَنْ يَّشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ فَبَآؤُواْ بِغَضَبٍ عَلَى غَضَبٍ وَلِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ | |||||
| Words | |بئسما - Evil (is) that| اشتروا - (for) which they have sold| به - with| أنفسهم - themselves,| أن - that| يكفروا - they disbelieve| بما - in what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah,| بغيا - grudging| أن - that| ينزل - sends down| الله - Allah| من - of| فضله - His Grace| على - on| من - whom| يشاء - He wills| من - from| عباده - His servants.| فباءوا - So they have drawn (on themselves)| بغضب - wrath| على - upon| غضب - wrath.| وللكافرين - And for the disbelievers| عذاب - (is) a punishment| مهين - humiliating.| | ||||||
| 13 [2:96] | Walatajidannahum ahrasa alnnasiAAala hayatin wamina allatheenaashrakoo yawaddu ahaduhum law yuAAammaru alfa sanatin wamahuwa bimuzahzihihi mina alAAathabi anyuAAammara waAllahu baseerun bimayaAAmaloona | ولتجدنهم أحرص الناس على حياة ومن الذين أشركوا يود أحدهم لو يعمر ألف سنة وما هو بمزحزحه من العذاب أن يعمر والله بصير بما يعملون وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلَى حَيَاةٍ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ أَنْ يُّعَمَّرَ وَاللّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولتجدنهم - And surely you will find them| أحرص - (the) most greedy| الناس - (of) [the] mankind| على - for| حياة - life,| ومن - and (greedier) than| الذين - those who| أشركوا - associate[d] partners (with Allah).| يود - Loves| أحدهم - (each) one of them| لو - if| يعمر - he could be granted a life| ألف - (of) a thousand| سنة - year(s).| وما - But not| هو - it| بمزحزحه - (will) remove him| من - from| العذاب - the punishment| أن - that| يعمر - he should be granted life.| والله - And Allah| بصير - (is) All-Seer| بما - of what| يعملون - they do.| | ||||||
| 14 [2:97] | Qul man kana AAaduwwan lijibreelafa-innahu nazzalahu AAala qalbika bi-ithni Allahimusaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi wahudan wabushralilmu/mineena | قل من كان عدوا لجبريل فإنه نزله على قلبك بإذن الله مصدقا لما بين يديه وهدى وبشرى للمؤمنين قُلْ مَنْ كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّجِبْرِيلَ فَإِنَّهُ نَزَّلَهُ عَلَى قَلْبِكَ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ مُصَدِّقاً لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَى لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| من - "Whoever| كان - is| عدوا - an enemy| لجبريل - to Jibreel -| فإنه - then indeed he| نزله - brought it down| على - on| قلبك - your heart| بإذن - by (the) permission| الله - (of) Allah| مصدقا - confirming| لما - what| بين - (was)| يديه - before it| وهدى - and a guidance| وبشرى - and glad tiding(s)| للمؤمنين - for the believers."| | ||||||
| 15 [2:102] | WaittabaAAoo ma tatloo alshshayateenuAAala mulki sulaymana wama kafara sulaymanuwalakinna alshshayateena kafarooyuAAallimoona alnnasa alssihra wamaonzila AAala almalakayni bibabila harootawamaroota wama yuAAallimani min ahadinhatta yaqoola innama nahnufitnatun fala takfur fayataAAallamoona minhuma mayufarriqoona bihi bayna almar-i wazawjihi wama hum bidarreenabihi min ahadin illa bi-ithni AllahiwayataAAallamoona ma yadurruhum walayanfaAAuhum walaqad AAalimoo lamani ishtarahu malahu fee al-akhirati min khalaqin walabi/sa masharaw bihi anfusahum law kanoo yaAAlamoona | واتبعوا ما تتلو الشياطين على ملك سليمان وما كفر سليمان ولكن الشياطين كفروا يعلمون الناس السحر وما أنزل على الملكين ببابل هاروت وماروت وما يعلمان من أحد حتى يقولا إنما نحن فتنة فلا تكفر فيتعلمون منهما ما يفرقون به بين المرء وزوجه وما هم بضارين به من أحد إلا بإذن الله ويتعلمون ما يضرهم ولا ينفعهم ولقد علموا لمن اشتراه ما له في الآخرة من خلاق ولبئس ما شروا به أنفسهم لو كانوا يعلمون وَاتَّبَعُواْ مَا تَتْلُواْ الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَـكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُولاَ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلاَ تَكْفُرْ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ وَمَا هُم بِضَآرِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلاَ يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُواْ لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاَقٍ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْاْ بِهِ أَنفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |واتبعوا - And they followed| ما - what| تتلو - recite(d)| الشياطين - the devils| على - over| ملك - (the) kingdom| سليمان - (of) Sulaiman.| وما - And not| كفر - disbelieved| سليمان - Sulaiman| ولكن - [and] but| الشياطين - the devils| كفروا - disbelieved,| يعلمون - they teach| الناس - the people| السحر - [the] magic| وما - and what| أنزل - was sent down| على - to| الملكين - the two angels| ببابل - in Babylon,| هاروت - Harut| وماروت - and Marut.| وما - And not| يعلمان - they both teach| من - any| أحد - one| حتى - unless| يقولا - they [both] say,| إنما - "Only| نحن - we| فتنة - (are) a trial,| فلا - so (do) not| تكفر - disbelieve."| فيتعلمون - But they learn| منهما - from those two| ما - what| يفرقون - [they] causes separation| به - with it| بين - between| المرء - the man| وزوجه - and his spouse.| وما - And not| هم - they (could)| بضارين - at all [be those who] harm| به - with it| من - any| أحد - one| إلا - except| بإذن - by permission| الله - (of) Allah.| ويتعلمون - And they learn| ما - what| يضرهم - harms them| ولا - and not| ينفعهم - profits them.| ولقد - And indeed| علموا - they knew| لمن - that whoever| اشتراه - buys it,| ما - not| له - for him| في - in| الآخرة - the Hereafter| من - any| خلاق - share.| ولبئس - And surely evil| ما - (is) what| شروا - they sold| به - with it| أنفسهم - themselves,| لو - if| كانوا - they were| يعلمون - (to) know.| | ||||||
| 16 [2:106] | Ma nansakh min ayatin awnunsiha na/ti bikhayrin minha aw mithlihaalam taAAlam anna Allaha AAala kulli shay-in qadeerun | ما ننسخ من آية أو ننسها نأت بخير منها أو مثلها ألم تعلم أن الله على كل شيء قدير مَا نَنسَخْ مِنْ آيَةٍ أَوْ نُنسِهَا نَأْتِ بِخَيْرٍ مِّنْهَا أَوْ مِثْلِهَا أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||

| 17 [2:109] | Wadda katheerun min ahli alkitabilaw yaruddoonakum min baAAdi eemanikum kuffaran hasadanmin AAindi anfusihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhaqqufaoAAfoo waisfahoo hattaya/tiya Allahu bi-amrihi inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeerun | ود كثير من أهل الكتاب لو يردونكم من بعد إيمانكم كفارا حسدا من عند أنفسهم من بعد ما تبين لهم الحق فاعفوا واصفحوا حتى يأتي الله بأمره إن الله على كل شيء قدير وَدَّ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّن بَعْدِ إِيمَانِكُمْ كُفَّاراً حَسَدًا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ فَاعْفُواْ وَاصْفَحُواْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||

| 18 [2:113] | Waqalati alyahoodu laysati alnnasaraAAala shay-in waqalati alnnasaralaysati alyahoodu AAala shay-in wahum yatloona alkitabakathalika qala allatheena layaAAlamoona mithla qawlihim faAllahu yahkumubaynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehiyakhtalifoona | وقالت اليهود ليست النصارى على شيء وقالت النصارى ليست اليهود على شيء وهم يتلون الكتاب كذلك قال الذين لا يعلمون مثل قولهم فالله يحكم بينهم يوم القيامة فيما كانوا فيه يختلفون وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ لَيْسَتِ النَّصَارَى عَلَى شَيْءٍ وَقَالَتِ النَّصَارَى لَيْسَتِ الْيَهُودُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ وَهُمْ يَتْلُونَ الْكِتَابَ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ فَاللّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالت - And said| اليهود - the Jews,| ليست - "Not| النصارى - the Christians| على - (are) on| شيء - anything,"| وقالت - and said| النصارى - the Christians,| ليست - "Not| اليهود - the Jews| على - (are) on| شيء - anything,"| وهم - although they| يتلون - recite| الكتاب - the Book.| كذلك - Like that| قال - said| الذين - those who| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know,| مثل - similar| قولهم - their saying.| فالله - [So] Allah| يحكم - will judge| بينهم - between them| يوم - (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) Resurrection| فيما - in what| كانوا - they were| فيه - [in it]| يختلفون - differing.| | ||||||
| 19 [2:122] | Ya banee isra-eela othkurooniAAmatiya allatee anAAamtu AAalaykum waannee faddaltukumAAala alAAalameena | يا بني إسرائيل اذكروا نعمتي التي أنعمت عليكم وأني فضلتكم على العالمين يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتِيَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَنِّي فَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||

| 20 [2:143] | Wakathalika jaAAalnakumommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasiwayakoona alrrasoolu AAalaykum shaheedan wamajaAAalna alqiblata allatee kunta AAalayha illalinaAAlama man yattabiAAu alrrasoola mimman yanqalibu AAalaAAaqibayhi wa-in kanat lakabeeratan illa AAalaallatheena hada Allahu wama kanaAllahu liyudeeAAa eemanakum inna Allahabialnnasi laraoofun raheemun | وكذلك جعلناكم أمة وسطا لتكونوا شهداء على الناس ويكون الرسول عليكم شهيدا وما جعلنا القبلة التي كنت عليها إلا لنعلم من يتبع الرسول ممن ينقلب على عقبيه وإن كانت لكبيرة إلا على الذين هدى الله وما كان الله ليضيع إيمانكم إن الله بالناس لرءوف رحيم وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِّتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الْقِبْلَةَ الَّتِي كُنتَ عَلَيْهَا إِلاَّ لِنَعْلَمَ مَن يَتَّبِعُ الرَّسُولَ مِمَّن يَنقَلِبُ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَإِن كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً إِلاَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللّهُ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| جعلناكم - We made you| أمة - a community| وسطا - (of the) middle way| لتكونوا - so that you will be| شهداء - witnesses| على - over| الناس - the mankind,| ويكون - and will be| الرسول - the Messenger| عليكم - on you| شهيدا - a witness.| وما - And not| جعلنا - We made| القبلة - the direction of prayer| التي - which| كنت - you were used to| عليها - [on it]| إلا - except| لنعلم - that We make evident| من - (he) who| يتبع - follows| الرسول - the Messenger| ممن - from (he) who| ينقلب - turns back| على - on| عقبيه - his heels.| وإن - And indeed,| كانت - it was| لكبيرة - certainly a great (test)| إلا - except| على - for| الذين - those whom| هدى - guided| الله - (by) Allah.| وما - And not| كان - will| الله - Allah| ليضيع - let go waste| إيمانكم - your faith.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| بالناس - (is) to [the] mankind| لرءوف - Full of Kindness,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
