| 1 [2:22] | Allathee jaAAala lakumu al-ardafirashan waalssamaa binaan waanzalamina alssama-i maan faakhraja bihi mina alththamaratirizqan lakum fala tajAAaloo lillahi andadanwaantum taAAlamoona |  الذي جعل لكم الأرض فراشا والسماء بناء وأنزل من السماء ماء فأخرج به من الثمرات رزقا لكم فلا تجعلوا لله أندادا وأنتم تعلمونالَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرْضَ فِرَاشاً وَّالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَّأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقاً لَّكُمْ فَلاَ تَجْعَلُواْ لِلّهِ أَندَاداً وَّأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |الذي - The One Who| جعل - made| لكم - for you| الأرض - the earth| فراشا - a resting place| والسماء - and the sky| بناء - a canopy,| وأنزل - and sent down| من - from| السماء - the sky| ماء - water,| فأخرج - then brought forth| به - therewith| من - [of]| الثمرات - the fruits| رزقا - (as) provision| لكم - for you.| فلا - So (do) not| تجعلوا - set up| لله - to Allah| أندادا - rivals| وأنتم - while you| تعلمون - [you] know.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:38] | Qulna ihbitoo minhajameeAAan fa-imma ya/tiyannakum minnee hudan faman tabiAAahudaya fala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona | قلنا اهبطوا منها جميعا فإما يأتينكم مني هدى فمن تبع هداي فلا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون قُلْنَا اهْبِطُواْ مِنْهَا جَمِيعاً فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّيْ هُدًى فَمَنْ تَبِعَ هُدَايَ فَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قلنا - We said,| اهبطوا - "Go down| منها - from it| جميعا - all (of you),| فإما - and when,| يأتينكم - comes to you| مني - from Me| هدى - Guidance,| فمن - then whoever| تبع - follows| هداي - My Guidance,| فلا - [then] no| خوف - fear| عليهم - (will be) on them| ولا - and not| هم - they| يحزنون - will grieve.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:86] | Ola-ika allatheena ishtarawooalhayata alddunya bial-akhiratifala yukhaffafu AAanhumu alAAathabu wala humyunsaroona | أولئك الذين اشتروا الحياة الدنيا بالآخرة فلا يخفف عنهم العذاب ولا هم ينصرون أُولَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُاْ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا بِالْآخِرَةِ فَلاَ يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلاَ هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أولئك - Those| الذين - (are) the ones who| اشتروا - bought| الحياة - the life| الدنيا - (of) the world| بالآخرة - for the Hereafter;| فلا - so not| يخفف - will be lightened| عنهم - for them| العذاب - the punishment| ولا - and not| هم - they| ينصرون - will be helped.| | ||||||
| 4 [2:102] | WaittabaAAoo ma tatloo alshshayateenuAAala mulki sulaymana wama kafara sulaymanuwalakinna alshshayateena kafarooyuAAallimoona alnnasa alssihra wamaonzila AAala almalakayni bibabila harootawamaroota wama yuAAallimani min ahadinhatta yaqoola innama nahnufitnatun fala takfur fayataAAallamoona minhuma mayufarriqoona bihi bayna almar-i wazawjihi wama hum bidarreenabihi min ahadin illa bi-ithni AllahiwayataAAallamoona ma yadurruhum walayanfaAAuhum walaqad AAalimoo lamani ishtarahu malahu fee al-akhirati min khalaqin walabi/sa masharaw bihi anfusahum law kanoo yaAAlamoona | واتبعوا ما تتلو الشياطين على ملك سليمان وما كفر سليمان ولكن الشياطين كفروا يعلمون الناس السحر وما أنزل على الملكين ببابل هاروت وماروت وما يعلمان من أحد حتى يقولا إنما نحن فتنة فلا تكفر فيتعلمون منهما ما يفرقون به بين المرء وزوجه وما هم بضارين به من أحد إلا بإذن الله ويتعلمون ما يضرهم ولا ينفعهم ولقد علموا لمن اشتراه ما له في الآخرة من خلاق ولبئس ما شروا به أنفسهم لو كانوا يعلمون وَاتَّبَعُواْ مَا تَتْلُواْ الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَـكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُولاَ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلاَ تَكْفُرْ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ وَمَا هُم بِضَآرِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلاَ يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُواْ لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاَقٍ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْاْ بِهِ أَنفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |واتبعوا - And they followed| ما - what| تتلو - recite(d)| الشياطين - the devils| على - over| ملك - (the) kingdom| سليمان - (of) Sulaiman.| وما - And not| كفر - disbelieved| سليمان - Sulaiman| ولكن - [and] but| الشياطين - the devils| كفروا - disbelieved,| يعلمون - they teach| الناس - the people| السحر - [the] magic| وما - and what| أنزل - was sent down| على - to| الملكين - the two angels| ببابل - in Babylon,| هاروت - Harut| وماروت - and Marut.| وما - And not| يعلمان - they both teach| من - any| أحد - one| حتى - unless| يقولا - they [both] say,| إنما - "Only| نحن - we| فتنة - (are) a trial,| فلا - so (do) not| تكفر - disbelieve."| فيتعلمون - But they learn| منهما - from those two| ما - what| يفرقون - [they] causes separation| به - with it| بين - between| المرء - the man| وزوجه - and his spouse.| وما - And not| هم - they (could)| بضارين - at all [be those who] harm| به - with it| من - any| أحد - one| إلا - except| بإذن - by permission| الله - (of) Allah.| ويتعلمون - And they learn| ما - what| يضرهم - harms them| ولا - and not| ينفعهم - profits them.| ولقد - And indeed| علموا - they knew| لمن - that whoever| اشتراه - buys it,| ما - not| له - for him| في - in| الآخرة - the Hereafter| من - any| خلاق - share.| ولبئس - And surely evil| ما - (is) what| شروا - they sold| به - with it| أنفسهم - themselves,| لو - if| كانوا - they were| يعلمون - (to) know.| | ||||||
| 5 [2:132] | Wawassa biha ibraheemubaneehi wayaAAqoobu ya baniyya inna Allaha istafalakumu alddeena fala tamootunna illa waantummuslimoona | ووصى بها إبراهيم بنيه ويعقوب يا بني إن الله اصطفى لكم الدين فلا تموتن إلا وأنتم مسلمون وَوَصَّى بِهَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ يَا بَنِيَّ إِنَّ اللّهَ اصْطَفَى لَكُمُ الدِّينَ فَلاَ تَمُوتُنَّ إَلاَّ وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ووصى - And enjoined| بها - [it]| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| بنيه - (upon) his sons| ويعقوب - and Yaqub,| يا - O| بني - "O my sons!| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| اصطفى - has chosen| لكم - for you| الدين - the religion,| فلا - so not| تموتن - (should) you die| إلا - except| وأنتم - while you| مسلمون - (are) submissive."| | ||||||
| 6 [2:147] | Alhaqqu min rabbika falatakoonanna mina almumtareena | الحق من ربك فلا تكونن من الممترين الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |الحق - The Truth| من - (is) from| ربك - your Lord,| فلا - so (do) not| تكونن - be| من - among| الممترين - the doubters.| | ||||||
| 7 [2:150] | Wamin haythu kharajta fawalliwajhaka shatra almasjidi alharami wahaythuma kuntum fawalloo wujoohakum shatrahu li-allayakoona lilnnasi AAalaykum hujjatun illaallatheena thalamoo minhum falatakhshawhum waikhshawnee wali-otimma niAAmatee AAalaykumwalaAAallakum tahtadoona | ومن حيث خرجت فول وجهك شطر المسجد الحرام وحيث ما كنتم فولوا وجوهكم شطره لئلا يكون للناس عليكم حجة إلا الذين ظلموا منهم فلا تخشوهم واخشوني ولأتم نعمتي عليكم ولعلكم تهتدون وَمِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنتُمْ فَوَلُّواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ لِئَلاَّ يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَيْكُمْ حُجَّةٌ إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مِنْهُمْ فَلاَ تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِي وَلِأُتِمَّ نِعْمَتِي عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And from| حيث - wherever| خرجت - you start forth| فول - [so] turn| وجهك - your face| شطر - (in the) direction| المسجد - (of) Al-Masjid| الحرام - Al-Haraam.| وحيث - And wherever| ما - that| كنتم - you (all) are| فولوا - [so] turn| وجوهكم - your faces| شطره - (in) its direction,| لئلا - so that not| يكون - will be| للناس - for the people| عليكم - against you| حجة - any argument| إلا - except| الذين - those who| ظلموا - wronged| منهم - among them;| فلا - so (do) not| تخشوهم - fear them,| واخشوني - but fear Me.| ولأتم - And that I complete| نعمتي - My favor| عليكم - upon you| ولعلكم - [and] so that you may| تهتدون - (be) guided.| | ||||||
| 8 [2:158] | Inna alssafa waalmarwatamin shaAAa-iri Allahi faman hajja albaytaawi iAAtamara fala junaha AAalayhi an yattawwafabihima waman tatawwaAAa khayran fa-inna Allahashakirun AAaleemun | إن الصفا والمروة من شعائر الله فمن حج البيت أو اعتمر فلا جناح عليه أن يطوف بهما ومن تطوع خيرا فإن الله شاكر عليم إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَآئِرِ اللّهِ فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَن يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ اللّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الصفا - the Safa| والمروة - and the Marwah| من - (are) from| شعائر - (the) symbols| الله - (of) Allah.| فمن - So whoever| حج - performs Hajj| البيت - (of) the House| أو - or| اعتمر - performs Umrah,| فلا - so no| جناح - blame| عليه - on him| أن - that| يطوف - he walks| بهما - between [both of] them.| ومن - And whoever| تطوع - voluntarily does| خيرا - good,| فإن - then indeed,| الله - Allah| شاكر - (is) All-Appreciative,| عليم - All-Knowing.| | ||||||
| 9 [2:173] | Innama harrama AAalaykumualmaytata waalddama walahma alkhinzeeri wamaohilla bihi lighayri Allahi famani idturra ghayra baghinwala AAadin fala ithma AAalayhi inna Allahaghafoorun raheemun | إنما حرم عليكم الميتة والدم ولحم الخنزير وما أهل به لغير الله فمن اضطر غير باغ ولا عاد فلا إثم عليه إن الله غفور رحيم إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ الْخِنْـزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ بِهِ لِغَيْرِ اللّهِ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلاَ عَادٍ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |إنما - Only| حرم - He has forbidden| عليكم - to you| الميتة - the dead animals,| والدم - and [the] blood,| ولحم - and flesh,| الخنزير - (of) swine,| وما - and what| أهل - has been dedicated| به - [with it]| لغير - to other than| الله - Allah.| فمن - So whoever| اضطر - (is) forced by necessity| غير - without| باغ - (being) disobedient| ولا - and not| عاد - transgressor,| فلا - then no| إثم - sin| عليه - on him.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| غفور - (is) Oft-Forgiving,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 10 [2:182] | Faman khafa min moosinjanafan aw ithman faaslaha baynahum falaithma AAalayhi inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun | فمن خاف من موص جنفا أو إثما فأصلح بينهم فلا إثم عليه إن الله غفور رحيم فَمَنْ خَافَ مِن مُّوصٍ جَنَفًا أَوْ إِثْمًا فَأَصْلَحَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَلاَ إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |فمن - But whoever| خاف - fears| من - from| موص - (the) testator| جنفا - (any) error| أو - or| إثما - sin,| فأصلح - then reconciles| بينهم - between them,| فلا - then (there is) no| إثم - sin| عليه - on him.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| غفور - (is) Oft-Forgiving,| رحيم - All-Merciful.| | ||||||
| 11 [2:187] | Ohilla lakum laylata alssiyamialrrafathu ila nisa-ikum hunna libasunlakum waantum libasun lahunna AAalima Allahuannakum kuntum takhtanoona anfusakum fatabaAAalaykum waAAafa AAankum faal-ana bashiroohunnawaibtaghoo ma kataba Allahu lakum wakuloo waishraboohatta yatabayyana lakumu alkhaytu al-abyadumina alkhayti al-aswadi mina alfajri thumma atimmoo alssiyamaila allayli wala tubashiroohunna waantum AAakifoonafee almasajidi tilka hudoodu Allahi falataqrabooha kathalika yubayyinu Allahu ayatihililnnasi laAAallahum yattaqoona | أحل لكم ليلة الصيام الرفث إلى نسائكم هن لباس لكم وأنتم لباس لهن علم الله أنكم كنتم تختانون أنفسكم فتاب عليكم وعفا عنكم فالآن باشروهن وابتغوا ما كتب الله لكم وكلوا واشربوا حتى يتبين لكم الخيط الأبيض من الخيط الأسود من الفجر ثم أتموا الصيام إلى الليل ولا تباشروهن وأنتم عاكفون في المساجد تلك حدود الله فلا تقربوها كذلك يبين الله آياته للناس لعلهم يتقون أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصِّيَامِ الرَّفَثُ إِلَى نِسَآئِكُمْ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّ عَلِمَ اللّهُ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَخْتَانُونَ أَنفُسَكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَفَا عَنكُمْ فَالْآنَ بَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَابْتَغُواْ مَا كَتَبَ اللّهُ لَكُمْ وَكُلُواْ وَاشْرَبُواْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّواْ الصِّيَامَ إِلَى الَّيْلِ وَلاَ تُبَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنتُمْ عَاكِفُونَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ فَلاَ تَقْرَبُوهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ آيَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أحل - Permitted| لكم - for you| ليلة - (in the) nights| الصيام - (of) fasting| الرفث - (is) the approach| إلى - to| نسائكم - your wives.| هن - They| لباس - (are) garments| لكم - for you| وأنتم - and you| لباس - (are) garments| لهن - for them.| علم - Knows| الله - Allah| أنكم - that you| كنتم - used to| تختانون - deceive| أنفسكم - yourselves,| فتاب - so He turned| عليكم - towards you| وعفا - and He forgave| عنكم - [on] you.| فالآن - So now| باشروهن - have relations with them| وابتغوا - and seek| ما - what| كتب - has ordained| الله - Allah| لكم - for you.| وكلوا - And eat| واشربوا - and drink| حتى - until| يتبين - becomes distinct| لكم - to you| الخيط - the thread| الأبيض - [the] white| من - from| الخيط - the thread| الأسود - [the] black| من - of| الفجر - [the] dawn.| ثم - Then| أتموا - complete| الصيام - the fast| إلى - till| الليل - the night.| ولا - And (do) not| تباشروهن - have relations with them| وأنتم - while you| عاكفون - (are) secluded| في - in| المساجد - the masajid.| تلك - These| حدود - (are the) limits| الله - (set by) Allah,| فلا - so (do) not| تقربوها - approach them.| كذلك - Thus| يبين - makes clear| الله - Allah| آياته - His verses| للناس - for [the] people| لعلهم - so that they may| يتقون - (become) righteous.| | ||||||
| 12 [2:193] | Waqatiloohum hatta latakoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu lillahi fa-iniintahaw fala AAudwana illa AAala alththalimeena | وقاتلوهم حتى لا تكون فتنة ويكون الدين لله فإن انتهوا فلا عدوان إلا على الظالمين وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لاَ تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ لِلّهِ فَإِنِ انتَهَواْ فَلاَ عُدْوَانَ إِلاَّ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وقاتلوهم - And fight (against) them| حتى - until| لا - not| تكون - (there) is| فتنة - oppression,| ويكون - and becomes| الدين - the religion| لله - for Allah| فإن - Then if| انتهوا - they cease| فلا - then (let there be) no| عدوان - hostility| إلا - except| على - against| الظالمين - the oppressors.| | ||||||
| 13 [2:197] | Alhajju ashhurun maAAloomatunfaman farada feehinna alhajja fala rafathawala fusooqa wala jidala fee alhajjiwama tafAAaloo min khayrin yaAAlamhu Allahuwatazawwadoo fa-inna khayra alzzadi alttaqwawaittaqooni ya olee al-albabi | الحج أشهر معلومات فمن فرض فيهن الحج فلا رفث ولا فسوق ولا جدال في الحج وما تفعلوا من خير يعلمه الله وتزودوا فإن خير الزاد التقوى واتقون يا أولي الألباب الْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَّعْلُومَاتٌ فَمَن فَرَضَ فِيهِنَّ الْحَجَّ فَلاَ رَفَثَ وَلاَ فُسُوقَ وَلاَ جِدَالَ فِي الْحَجِّ وَمَا تَفْعَلُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْهُ اللّهُ وَتَزَوَّدُواْ فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى وَاتَّقُونِ يَا أُوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ | |||||
| Words | |الحج - (For) the Hajj| أشهر - (are) months| معلومات - well known,| فمن - then whoever| فرض - undertakes| فيهن - therein| الحج - the Hajj| فلا - then no| رفث - sexual relations| ولا - and no| فسوق - wickedness| ولا - and no| جدال - quarrelling| في - during| الحج - the Hajj.| وما - And whatever| تفعلوا - you do| من - of| خير - good| يعلمه - knows it| الله - Allah.| وتزودوا - And take provision,| فإن - (but) indeed,| خير - (the) best| الزاد - provision| التقوى - (is) righteousness.| واتقون - And fear Me,| يا - O| أولي - O men| الألباب - (of) understanding!| | ||||||
| 14 [2:203] | Waothkuroo Allaha feeayyamin maAAdoodatin faman taAAajjala fee yawmaynifala ithma AAalayhi waman taakhkhara fala ithmaAAalayhi limani ittaqa waittaqoo Allaha waiAAlamooannakum ilayhi tuhsharoona | واذكروا الله في أيام معدودات فمن تعجل في يومين فلا إثم عليه ومن تأخر فلا إثم عليه لمن اتقى واتقوا الله واعلموا أنكم إليه تحشرون وَاذْكُرُواْ اللّهَ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَّعْدُودَاتٍ فَمَن تَعَجَّلَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ فَلاَ إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ وَمَن تَأَخَّرَ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ لِمَنِ اتَّقَى وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |واذكروا - And remember| الله - Allah| في - during| أيام - days| معدودات - numbered.| فمن - Then (he) who| تعجل - hurries| في - in| يومين - two days| فلا - then no| إثم - sin| عليه - upon him,| ومن - and whoever| تأخر - delays| فلا - then no| إثم - sin| عليه - upon him| لمن - for (the one) who| اتقى - fears.| واتقوا - And fear| الله - Allah| واعلموا - and know| أنكم - that you| إليه - unto Him| تحشرون - will be gathered.| | ||||||
| 15 [2:229] | Alttalaqu marratanifa-imsakun bimaAAroofin aw tasreehun bi-ihsaninwala yahillu lakum an ta/khuthoo mimmaataytumoohunna shay-an illa an yakhafaalla yuqeema hudooda Allahi fa-inkhiftum alla yuqeema hudooda Allahifala junaha AAalayhima feema iftadatbihi tilka hudoodu Allahi fala taAAtadoohawaman yataAAadda hudooda Allahi faola-ikahumu alththalimoona | الطلاق مرتان فإمساك بمعروف أو تسريح بإحسان ولا يحل لكم أن تأخذوا مما آتيتموهن شيئا إلا أن يخافا ألا يقيما حدود الله فإن خفتم ألا يقيما حدود الله فلا جناح عليهما فيما افتدت به تلك حدود الله فلا تعتدوها ومن يتعد حدود الله فأولئك هم الظالمون الطَّلاَقُ مَرَّتَانِ فَإِمْسَاكٌ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ تَسْرِيحٌ بِإِحْسَانٍ وَلاَ يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَأْخُذُواْ مِمَّا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ شَيْئًا إِلاَّ أَن يَخَافَا أَلاَّ يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلاَّ يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا فِيمَا افْتَدَتْ بِهِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ فَلاَ تَعْتَدُوهَا وَمَن يَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |الطلاق - The divorce| مرتان - (is) twice.| فإمساك - Then to retain| بمعروف - in a reasonable manner| أو - or| تسريح - to release (her)| بإحسان - with kindness.| ولا - And (it is) not| يحل - lawful| لكم - for you| أن - that| تأخذوا - you take (back)| مما - whatever| آتيتموهن - you have given them| شيئا - anything,| إلا - except| أن - if| يخافا - both fear| ألا - that not| يقيما - they both (can) keep| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah.| فإن - But if| خفتم - you fear| ألا - that not| يقيما - they both (can) keep| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah| فلا - then (there is) no| جناح - sin| عليهما - on both of them| فيما - in what| افتدت - she ransoms| به - concerning it.| تلك - These| حدود - (are the) limits| الله - (of) Allah,| فلا - so (do) not| تعتدوها - transgress them.| ومن - And whoever| يتعد - transgresses| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah| فأولئك - then those -| هم - they| الظالمون - (are) the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 16 [2:230] | Fa-in tallaqaha falatahillu lahu min baAAdu hatta tankihazawjan ghayrahu fa-in tallaqaha fala junahaAAalayhima an yatarajaAAa in thannaan yuqeema hudooda Allahi watilka hudooduAllahi yubayyinuha liqawmin yaAAlamoona | فإن طلقها فلا تحل له من بعد حتى تنكح زوجا غيره فإن طلقها فلا جناح عليهما أن يتراجعا إن ظنا أن يقيما حدود الله وتلك حدود الله يبينها لقوم يعلمون فَإِن طَلَّقَهَا فَلاَ تَحِلُّ لَهُ مِن بَعْدُ حَتَّى تَنكِحَ زَوْجًا غَيْرَهُ فَإِن طَلَّقَهَا فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا أَن يَتَرَاجَعَا إِن ظَنَّا أَن يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ يُبَيِّنُهَا لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فإن - Then if| طلقها - he divorces her,| فلا - then (she is) not| تحل - lawful| له - for him| من - from| بعد - after (that)| حتى - until| تنكح - she marries| زوجا - a spouse| غيره - other than him.| فإن - Then if| طلقها - he divorces her| فلا - then no| جناح - sin| عليهما - on them| أن - if| يتراجعا - they return to each other| إن - if| ظنا - they believe| أن - that| يقيما - they (will be able to) keep| حدود - (the) limits.| الله - (of) Allah.| وتلك - And these| حدود - (are the) limits.| الله - (of) Allah.| يبينها - He makes them clear| لقوم - to a people| يعلمون - who know.| | ||||||
| 17 [2:232] | Wa-itha tallaqtumu alnnisaafabalaghna ajalahunna fala taAAduloohunna an yankihnaazwajahunna itha taradaw baynahum bialmaAAroofithalika yooAAathu bihi man kanaminkum yu/minu biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhirithalikum azka lakum waatharu waAllahuyaAAlamu waantum la taAAlamoona | وإذا طلقتم النساء فبلغن أجلهن فلا تعضلوهن أن ينكحن أزواجهن إذا تراضوا بينهم بالمعروف ذلك يوعظ به من كان منكم يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر ذلكم أزكى لكم وأطهر والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلاَ تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَن يَنكِحْنَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ إِذَا تَرَاضَوْاْ بَيْنَهُم بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ذَلِكَ يُوعَظُ بِهِ مَن كَانَ مِنكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ذَلِكُمْ أَزْكَى لَكُمْ وَأَطْهَرُ وَاللّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| طلقتم - you divorce| النساء - [the] women| فبلغن - and they reached| أجلهن - their (waiting) term,| فلا - then (do) not| تعضلوهن - hinder them| أن - [that]| ينكحن - (from) marrying| أزواجهن - their husbands| إذا - when| تراضوا - they agree| بينهم - between themselves| بالمعروف - in a fair manner.| ذلك - That| يوعظ - is admonished| به - with it| من - whoever| كان - [is]| منكم - among you| يؤمن - believes| بالله - in Allah| واليوم - and the Day| الآخر - [the] Last;| ذلكم - that| أزكى - (is) more virtuous| لكم - for you| وأطهر - and more purer.| والله - And Allah| يعلم - knows| وأنتم - and you| لا - (do) not| تعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 18 [2:233] | Waalwalidatu yurdiAAnaawladahunna hawlayni kamilayni liman aradaan yutimma alrradaAAata waAAala almawloodilahu rizquhunna wakiswatuhunna bialmaAAroofi latukallafu nafsun illa wusAAaha la tudarrawalidatun biwaladiha wala mawloodun lahubiwaladihi waAAala alwarithi mithlu thalikafa-in arada fisalan AAan taradinminhuma watashawurin fala junahaAAalayhima wa-in aradtum an tastardiAAoo awladakumfala junaha AAalaykum itha sallamtum maataytum bialmaAAroofi waittaqoo AllahawaiAAlamoo anna Allaha bima taAAmaloona baseerun | والوالدات يرضعن أولادهن حولين كاملين لمن أراد أن يتم الرضاعة وعلى المولود له رزقهن وكسوتهن بالمعروف لا تكلف نفس إلا وسعها لا تضار والدة بولدها ولا مولود له بولده وعلى الوارث مثل ذلك فإن أرادا فصالا عن تراض منهما وتشاور فلا جناح عليهما وإن أردتم أن تسترضعوا أولادكم فلا جناح عليكم إذا سلمتم ما آتيتم بالمعروف واتقوا الله واعلموا أن الله بما تعملون بصير وَالْوَالِدَاتُ يُرْضِعْنَ أَوْلاَدَهُنَّ حَوْلَيْنِ كَامِلَيْنِ لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُتِمَّ الرَّضَاعَةَ وَعَلََى الْمَوْلُودِ لَهُ رِزْقُهُنَّ وَكِسْوَتُهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ لاَ تُكَلَّفُ نَفْسٌ إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا لاَ تُضَآرَّ وَالِدَةٌ بِوَلَدِهَا وَلاَ مَوْلُودٌ لَّهُ بِوَلَدِهِ وَعَلَى الْوَارِثِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ فَإِنْ أَرَادَا فِصَالاً عَن تَرَاضٍ مِّنْهُمَا وَتَشَاوُرٍ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا وَإِنْ أَرَدتُّمْ أَن تَسْتَرْضِعُواْ أَوْلاَدَكُمْ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا سَلَّمْتُم مَّآ آتَيْتُم بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |والوالدات - And the mothers| يرضعن - shall suckle| أولادهن - their children| حولين - (for) two years| كاملين - complete,| لمن - for whoever| أراد - wishes| أن - to| يتم - complete| الرضاعة - the suckling.| وعلى - And upon| المولود - the father| له - (on) him| رزقهن - (is) their provision| وكسوتهن - and their clothing| بالمعروف - in a fair manner.| لا - Not| تكلف - is burdened| نفس - any soul| إلا - except| وسعها - its capacity.| لا - Not| تضار - made to suffer| والدة - (the) mother| بولدها - because of her child| ولا - and not| مولود - (the) father| له - (be)| بولده - because of his child.| وعلى - And on| الوارث - the (father's) heir| مثل - (is a duty) like| ذلك - that (of the father).| فإن - Then if| أرادا - they both desire| فصالا - weaning| عن - through| تراض - mutual consent| منهما - of both of them| وتشاور - and consultation,| فلا - then no| جناح - blame| عليهما - on both of them.| وإن - And if| أردتم - you want| أن - to| تسترضعوا - ask another women to suckle| أولادكم - your child| فلا - then (there is) no| جناح - blame| عليكم - on you,| إذا - when| سلمتم - you pay| ما - what| آتيتم - you give| بالمعروف - in a fair manner.| واتقوا - And fear| الله - Allah| واعلموا - and know| أن - that| الله - Allah| بما - of what| تعملون - you do| بصير - (is) All-Seer.| | ||||||
| 19 [2:234] | Waallatheena yutawaffawnaminkum wayatharoona azwajan yatarabbasnabi-anfusihinna arbaAAata ashhurin waAAashran fa-ithabalaghna ajalahunna fala junaha AAalaykum feemafaAAalna fee anfusihinna bialmaAAroofi waAllahubima taAAmaloona khabeerun | والذين يتوفون منكم ويذرون أزواجا يتربصن بأنفسهن أربعة أشهر وعشرا فإذا بلغن أجلهن فلا جناح عليكم فيما فعلن في أنفسهن بالمعروف والله بما تعملون خبير وَالَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَاجًا يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا فَعَلْنَ فِي أَنفُسِهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| يتوفون - pass away| منكم - among you| ويذرون - and leave behind| أزواجا - wives,| يتربصن - (the widows) should wait| بأنفسهن - for themselves| أربعة - (for) four| أشهر - months| وعشرا - and ten (days).| فإذا - Then when| بلغن - they reach| أجلهن - their (specified) term,| فلا - then (there is) no| جناح - blame| عليكم - upon you| فيما - for what| فعلن - they do| في - concerning| أنفسهن - themselves| بالمعروف - in a fair manner.| والله - And Allah| بما - of what| تعملون - you do| خبير - (is) All-Aware.| | ||||||
| 20 [2:240] | Waallatheena yutawaffawnaminkum wayatharoona azwajan wasiyyatanli-azwajihim mataAAan ila alhawlighayra ikhrajin fa-in kharajna fala junahaAAalaykum fee ma faAAalna fee anfusihinna min maAAroofinwaAllahu AAazeezun hakeemun | والذين يتوفون منكم ويذرون أزواجا وصية لأزواجهم متاعا إلى الحول غير إخراج فإن خرجن فلا جناح عليكم في ما فعلن في أنفسهن من معروف والله عزيز حكيم وَالَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَاجًا وَصِيَّةً لِّأَزْوَاجِهِم مَّتَاعًا إِلَى الْحَوْلِ غَيْرَ إِخْرَاجٍ فَإِنْ خَرَجْنَ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي مَا فَعَلْنَ فِيَ أَنفُسِهِنَّ مِن مَّعْرُوفٍ وَاللّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ | |||||
