بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [2:234] | Waallatheena yutawaffawnaminkum wayatharoona azwajan yatarabbasnabi-anfusihinna arbaAAata ashhurin waAAashran fa-ithabalaghna ajalahunna fala junaha AAalaykum feemafaAAalna fee anfusihinna bialmaAAroofi waAllahubima taAAmaloona khabeerun
| والذين يتوفون منكم ويذرون أزواجا يتربصن بأنفسهن أربعة أشهر وعشرا فإذا بلغن أجلهن فلا جناح عليكم فيما فعلن في أنفسهن بالمعروف والله بما تعملون خبير وَالَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَاجًا يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا فَعَلْنَ فِي أَنفُسِهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ |
Words | |والذين - And those who| يتوفون - pass away| منكم - among you| ويذرون - and leave behind| أزواجا - wives,| يتربصن - (the widows) should wait| بأنفسهن - for themselves| أربعة - (for) four| أشهر - months| وعشرا - and ten (days).| فإذا - Then when| بلغن - they reach| أجلهن - their (specified) term,| فلا - then (there is) no| جناح - blame| عليكم - upon you| فيما - for what| فعلن - they do| في - concerning| أنفسهن - themselves| بالمعروف - in a fair manner.| والله - And Allah| بما - of what| تعملون - you do| خبير - (is) All-Aware.| |

| እነዚያም ከናንተ ውስጥ የሚሞቱና ሚስቶችን የሚተዉ (ሚስቶቻቸው) በነፍሶቻቸው አራት ወሮች ከዐስር (ቀናት ከጋብቻ) ይታገሱ፡፡ ጊዜያቸውንም በጨረሱ ጊዜ በነፍሶቻቸው በታወቀ ሕግ በሠሩት ነገር በእናንተ ላይ ኃጢአት የለባችሁም፡፡ አላህም በምትሠሩት ሁሉ ውስጥ ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { والذين يتوفون } يموتون { منكم ويذرون } يتركون { أزواجا يتربصن } أي ليتربصن { بأنفسهن } بعدهم عن النكاح { أربعة أشهر وعشرا } من الليالي وهذا في غير الحوامل أما الحوامل فعدتهن أن يضعن حملهن بآية الطلاق والأمة على النصف من ذلك بالسنة { فإذا بلغن أجلهن } انقضت مدة تربصهن { فلا جناح عليكم } أيها الاولياء { فيما فعلن في أنفسهن } من التزين والتعرض للخطاب { بالمعروف } شرعا { والله بما تعملون خبير } عالم بباطنه كظاهره . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা মৃত্যুবরণ করবে এবং নিজেদের স্ত্রীদেরকে ছেড়ে যাবে, তখন সে স্ত্রীদের কর্তব্য হলো নিজেকে চার মাস দশ দিন পর্যন্ত অপেক্ষা করিয়ে রাখা। তারপর যখন ইদ্দত পূর্ণ করে নেবে, তখন নিজের ব্যাপারে নীতি সঙ্গত ব্যবস্থা নিলে কোন পাপ নেই। আর তোমাদের যাবতীয় কাজের ব্যাপারেই আল্লাহর অবগতি রয়েছে। |
Literal | And those who are made to die from you, and they leave spouses/wives, they (the wives) wait (F) with themselves four months, and ten (days), so if they (F) reached their time/term , so no offense/guilt/sin on you in what they (F) made/did in (with) themselves with the kindness/generosity , and God (is) with what youmake/do expert/experienced. |
Yusuf Ali | If any of you die and leave widows behind, they shall wait concerning themselves four months and ten days: When they have fulfilled their term, there is no blame on you if they dispose of themselves in a just and reasonable manner. And Allah is well acquainted with what ye do. |
Pickthal | Such of you as die and leave behind them wives, they (the wives) shall wait, keeping themselves apart, four months and ten days. And when they reach the term (prescribed for them) then there is no sin for you in aught that they may do with themselves in decency. Allah is informed of what ye do. |
Arberry | And those of you who die, leaving wives, they shall wait by themselves for four months and ten nights; when they have reached their term then it is no fault in you what they may do with themselves honourably. God is aware of the things you do. |
Shakir | And (as for) those of you who die and leave wives behind, they should keep themselves in waiting for four months and ten days; then when they have fully attained their term, there is no blame on you for what they do for themselves in a lawful manner; and Allah is aware of what you do. |
Sarwar | The wives of those of you who die have to wait for a period of four months and ten days. After this appointed time, it is no sin for the relatives of the deceased to let the widows do what is reasonable. God knows well what you do. |
H/K/Saheeh | And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind they, [the wives, shall] wait four months and ten [days]. And when they have fulfilled their term, then there is no blame upon you for what they do with themselves in an acceptable manner. And Allah is [fully] Acquainted with what you do. |
Malik | As for those of you who die and leave widows behind, let them abstain from marriage for four months and ten days: when they have reached the end of this period, there is no blame on you for what they do for themselves in a decent manner. Allah is aware of what you do.[234] |
