| 1 [2:125] | Wa-ith jaAAalna albayta mathabatanlilnnasi waamnan waittakhithoo minmaqami ibraheema musallan waAAahidnaila ibraheema wa-ismaAAeela an tahhirabaytiya liltta-ifeena waalAAakifeenawaalrrukkaAAi alssujoodi |  وإذ جعلنا البيت مثابة للناس وأمنا واتخذوا من مقام إبراهيم مصلى وعهدنا إلى إبراهيم وإسماعيل أن طهرا بيتي للطائفين والعاكفين والركع السجودوَإِذْ جَعَلْنَا الْبَيْتَ مَثَابَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَمْناً وَاتَّخِذُواْ مِن مَّقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى وَعَهِدْنَا إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ أَن طَهِّرَا بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَاكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| جعلنا - We made| البيت - the House| مثابة - a place of return| للناس - for mankind| وأمنا - and (a place of) security| واتخذوا - and (said), "Take| من - [from]| مقام - (the) standing place| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim,| مصلى - (as) a place of prayer."| وعهدنا - And We made a covenant| إلى - with| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| وإسماعيل - and Ishmael| أن - [that],| طهرا - "[You both] purify| بيتي - My House| للطائفين - for those who circumambulate| والعاكفين - and those who seclude themselves for devotion and prayer| والركع - and those who bow down| السجود - and those who prostrate."| | ||||||
| 2 [2:143] | Wakathalika jaAAalnakumommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasiwayakoona alrrasoolu AAalaykum shaheedan wamajaAAalna alqiblata allatee kunta AAalayha illalinaAAlama man yattabiAAu alrrasoola mimman yanqalibu AAalaAAaqibayhi wa-in kanat lakabeeratan illa AAalaallatheena hada Allahu wama kanaAllahu liyudeeAAa eemanakum inna Allahabialnnasi laraoofun raheemun | وكذلك جعلناكم أمة وسطا لتكونوا شهداء على الناس ويكون الرسول عليكم شهيدا وما جعلنا القبلة التي كنت عليها إلا لنعلم من يتبع الرسول ممن ينقلب على عقبيه وإن كانت لكبيرة إلا على الذين هدى الله وما كان الله ليضيع إيمانكم إن الله بالناس لرءوف رحيم وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِّتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الْقِبْلَةَ الَّتِي كُنتَ عَلَيْهَا إِلاَّ لِنَعْلَمَ مَن يَتَّبِعُ الرَّسُولَ مِمَّن يَنقَلِبُ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَإِن كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً إِلاَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللّهُ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| جعلناكم - We made you| أمة - a community| وسطا - (of the) middle way| لتكونوا - so that you will be| شهداء - witnesses| على - over| الناس - the mankind,| ويكون - and will be| الرسول - the Messenger| عليكم - on you| شهيدا - a witness.| وما - And not| جعلنا - We made| القبلة - the direction of prayer| التي - which| كنت - you were used to| عليها - [on it]| إلا - except| لنعلم - that We make evident| من - (he) who| يتبع - follows| الرسول - the Messenger| ممن - from (he) who| ينقلب - turns back| على - on| عقبيه - his heels.| وإن - And indeed,| كانت - it was| لكبيرة - certainly a great (test)| إلا - except| على - for| الذين - those whom| هدى - guided| الله - (by) Allah.| وما - And not| كان - will| الله - Allah| ليضيع - let go waste| إيمانكم - your faith.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| بالناس - (is) to [the] mankind| لرءوف - Full of Kindness,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 3 [4:33] | Walikullin jaAAalna mawaliyamimma taraka alwalidani waal-aqraboonawaallatheena AAaqadat aymanukum faatoohumnaseebahum inna Allaha kana AAalakulli shay-in shaheedan | ولكل جعلنا موالي مما ترك الوالدان والأقربون والذين عقدت أيمانكم فآتوهم نصيبهم إن الله كان على كل شيء شهيدا وَلِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مَوَالِيَ مِمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالْأَقْرَبُونَ وَالَّذِينَ عَقَدَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ فَآتُوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |ولكل - And for all| جعلنا - We (have) made| موالي - heirs| مما - of what| ترك - (is) left| الوالدان - (by) the parents| والأقربون - and the relatives.| والذين - And those whom| عقدت - pledged| أيمانكم - your right hands -| فآتوهم - then give them| نصيبهم - their share.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| كان - is| على - over| كل - every| شيء - thing| شهيدا - a Witness.| | ||||||
| 4 [4:91] | Satajidoona akhareena yureedoona anya/manookum waya/manoo qawmahum kulla ma ruddoo ilaalfitnati orkisoo feeha fa-in lam yaAAtazilookum wayulqooilaykumu alssalama wayakuffoo aydiyahum fakhuthoohumwaoqtuloohum haythu thaqiftumoohum waola-ikumjaAAalna lakum AAalayhim sultanan mubeenan | ستجدون آخرين يريدون أن يأمنوكم ويأمنوا قومهم كل ما ردوا إلى الفتنة أركسوا فيها فإن لم يعتزلوكم ويلقوا إليكم السلم ويكفوا أيديهم فخذوهم واقتلوهم حيث ثقفتموهم وأولئكم جعلنا لكم عليهم سلطانا مبينا سَتَجِدُونَ آخَرِينَ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَأْمَنُوكُمْ وَيَأْمَنُواْ قَوْمَهُمْ كُلَّ مَا رُدُّوَاْ إِلَى الْفِتْنَةِ أُرْكِسُواْ فِيهَا فَإِن لَّمْ يَعْتَزِلُوكُمْ وَيُلْقُواْ إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَمَ وَيَكُفُّواْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَأُوْلَـئِكُمْ جَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانًا مُّبِينًا | |||||
| Words | |ستجدون - You will find| آخرين - others| يريدون - wishing| أن - that| يأمنوكم - they be secure from you| ويأمنوا - and they be secure from| قومهم - their people,| كل - Everytime| ما - that| ردوا - they are returned| إلى - to| الفتنة - the temptation,| أركسوا - they are plunged| فيها - into it.| فإن - So if| لم - not| يعتزلوكم - they withdraw from you| ويلقوا - and offer| إليكم - to you| السلم - [the] peace| ويكفوا - and they restrain| أيديهم - their hands,| فخذوهم - then seize them| واقتلوهم - and kill them| حيث - wherever| ثقفتموهم - you find them.| وأولئكم - And those -| جعلنا - We made| لكم - for you| عليهم - against them| سلطانا - an authority| مبينا - clear.| | ||||||
| 5 [5:48] | Waanzalna ilayka alkitaba bialhaqqimusaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alkitabiwamuhayminan AAalayhi faohkum baynahum bimaanzala Allahu wala tattabiAA ahwaahum AAammajaaka mina alhaqqi likullin jaAAalna minkumshirAAatan waminhajan walaw shaa AllahulajaAAalakum ommatan wahidatan walakin liyabluwakumfeema atakum faistabiqoo alkhayratiila Allahi marjiAAukum jameeAAan fayunabbi-okum bimakuntum feehi takhtalifoona | وأنزلنا إليك الكتاب بالحق مصدقا لما بين يديه من الكتاب ومهيمنا عليه فاحكم بينهم بما أنزل الله ولا تتبع أهواءهم عما جاءك من الحق لكل جعلنا منكم شرعة ومنهاجا ولو شاء الله لجعلكم أمة واحدة ولكن ليبلوكم في ما آتاكم فاستبقوا الخيرات إلى الله مرجعكم جميعا فينبئكم بما كنتم فيه تختلفون وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَـكِن لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَآ آتَاكُم فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ إِلَى اللهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وأنزلنا - And We revealed| إليك - to you| الكتاب - the Book| بالحق - in [the] truth,| مصدقا - confirming| لما - what| بين - (was) before| يديه - his hands| من - of| الكتاب - the Book| ومهيمنا - and a guardian| عليه - over it.| فاحكم - So judge| بينهم - between them| بما - by what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah| ولا - and (do) not| تتبع - follow| أهواءهم - their vain desires| عما - when| جاءك - has come to you| من - of| الحق - the truth.| لكل - For each| جعلنا - We have made| منكم - for you| شرعة - a law| ومنهاجا - and a clear way.| ولو - And if| شاء - (had) willed| الله - Allah| لجعلكم - He (would have) made you| أمة - a community,| واحدة - one,| ولكن - [and] but| ليبلوكم - to test you| في - in| ما - what| آتاكم - He (has) given you,| فاستبقوا - so race| الخيرات - (to) the good.| إلى - To| الله - Allah| مرجعكم - you will return,| جميعا - all,| فينبئكم - then He will inform you| بما - of what| كنتم - you were| فيه - concerning it| تختلفون - differing.| | ||||||
| 6 [6:112] | Wakathalika jaAAalna likullinabiyyin AAaduwwan shayateena al-insi waaljinni yooheebaAAduhum ila baAAdin zukhrufa alqawlighurooran walaw shaa rabbuka ma faAAaloohu fatharhumwama yaftaroona | وكذلك جعلنا لكل نبي عدوا شياطين الإنس والجن يوحي بعضهم إلى بعض زخرف القول غرورا ولو شاء ربك ما فعلوه فذرهم وما يفترون وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا شَيَاطِينَ الْإِنسِ وَالْجِنِّ يُوحِي بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ زُخْرُفَ الْقَوْلِ غُرُورًا وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| جعلنا - We made| لكل - for every| نبي - Prophet| عدوا - an enemy -| شياطين - devils| الإنس - (from) the mankind| والجن - and the jinn,| يوحي - inspiring| بعضهم - some of them| إلى - to| بعض - others| زخرف - (with) decorative| القول - [the] speech| غرورا - (in) deception.| ولو - But if| شاء - (had) willed| ربك - your Lord| ما - not| فعلوه - they (would) have done it,| فذرهم - so leave them| وما - and what| يفترون - they invent.| | ||||||
| 7 [6:123] | Wakathalika jaAAalna feekulli qaryatin akabira mujrimeeha liyamkuroo feehawama yamkuroona illa bi-anfusihim wamayashAAuroona | وكذلك جعلنا في كل قرية أكابر مجرميها ليمكروا فيها وما يمكرون إلا بأنفسهم وما يشعرون وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ أَكَابِرَ مُجْرِمِيهَا لِيَمْكُرُواْ فِيهَا وَمَا يَمْكُرُونَ إِلاَّ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| جعلنا - We placed| في - in| كل - every| قرية - city| أكابر - greatest| مجرميها - (of) its criminals,| ليمكروا - so that they plot| فيها - therein.| وما - And not| يمكرون - they plot| إلا - except| بأنفسهم - against themselves| وما - and not| يشعرون - they perceive.| | ||||||
| 8 [7:27] | Ya banee adama layaftinannakumu alshshaytanu kama akhrajaabawaykum mina aljannati yanziAAu AAanhuma libasahumaliyuriyahuma saw-atihima innahu yarakumhuwa waqabeeluhu min haythu la tarawnahum innajaAAalna alshshayateena awliyaa lillatheenala yu/minoona | يا بني آدم لا يفتننكم الشيطان كما أخرج أبويكم من الجنة ينزع عنهما لباسهما ليريهما سوآتهما إنه يراكم هو وقبيله من حيث لا ترونهم إنا جعلنا الشياطين أولياء للذين لا يؤمنون يَا بَنِي آدَمَ لاَ يَفْتِنَنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ كَمَا أَخْرَجَ أَبَوَيْكُم مِّنَ الْجَنَّةِ يَـنْـزِعُ عَنْهُمَا لِبَاسَهُمَا لِيُرِيَهُمَا سَوْءَاتِهِمَا إِنَّهُ يَرَاكُمْ هُوَ وَقَبِيلُهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ تَرَوْنَهُمْ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ لِلَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| بني - O Children| آدم - (of) Adam!| لا - (Let) not| يفتننكم - tempt you| الشيطان - [the] Shaitaan| كما - as| أخرج - he drove out| أبويكم - your parents| من - from| الجنة - Paradise,| ينزع - stripping| عنهما - from both of them| لباسهما - their clothing| ليريهما - to show both of them| سوآتهما - their shame.| إنه - Indeed, he| يراكم - sees you -| هو - he| وقبيله - and his tribe| من - from| حيث - where| لا - not| ترونهم - you see them.| إنا - Indeed,| جعلنا - We have made| الشياطين - the devils| أولياء - friends| للذين - of those who| لا - (do) not| يؤمنون - believe.| | ||||||
| 9 [11:82] | Falamma jaa amrunajaAAalna AAaliyaha safilahawaamtarna AAalayha hijaratanmin sijjeelin mandoodin | فلما جاء أمرنا جعلنا عاليها سافلها وأمطرنا عليها حجارة من سجيل منضود فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ مَّنضُودٍ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - So when| جاء - came| أمرنا - Our Command,| جعلنا - We made| عاليها - its upside,| سافلها - its downside,| وأمطرنا - and We rained| عليها - upon them| حجارة - stones| من - of| سجيل - baked clay| منضود - (in) layers.| | ||||||
| 10 [15:16] | Walaqad jaAAalna fee alssama-iburoojan wazayyannaha lilnnathireena | ولقد جعلنا في السماء بروجا وزيناها للناظرين وَلَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا لِلنَّاظِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily| جعلنا - We have placed| في - in| السماء - the heavens| بروجا - constellations| وزيناها - and We have beautified it| للناظرين - for the observers.| | ||||||
| 11 [17:18] | Man kana yureedu alAAajilataAAajjalna lahu feeha ma nashao limannureedu thumma jaAAalna lahu jahannama yaslahamathmooman madhooran | من كان يريد العاجلة عجلنا له فيها ما نشاء لمن نريد ثم جعلنا له جهنم يصلاها مذموما مدحورا مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعَاجِلَةَ عَجَّلْنَا لَهُ فِيهَا مَا نَشَاءُ لِمَن نُّرِيدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا لَهُ جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلاَهَا مَذْمُومًا مَّدْحُورًا | |||||
| Words | |من - Whoever| كان - should| يريد - desire| العاجلة - the immediate| عجلنا - We hasten| له - for him| فيها - in it| ما - what| نشاء - We will| لمن - to whom| نريد - We intend.| ثم - Then| جعلنا - We have made| له - for him| جهنم - Hell,| يصلاها - he will burn| مذموما - disgraced| مدحورا - rejected.| | ||||||
| 12 [17:33] | Wala taqtuloo alnnafsa allateeharrama Allahu illa bialhaqqiwaman qutila mathlooman faqad jaAAalnaliwaliyyihi sultanan fala yusrif fee alqatli innahukana mansooran | ولا تقتلوا النفس التي حرم الله إلا بالحق ومن قتل مظلوما فقد جعلنا لوليه سلطانا فلا يسرف في القتل إنه كان منصورا وَلاَ تَقْتُلُواْ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللّهُ إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَمَن قُتِلَ مَظْلُومًا فَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا لِوَلِيِّهِ سُلْطَانًا فَلاَ يُسْرِف فِّي الْقَتْلِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ مَنْصُورًا | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تقتلوا - kill| النفس - the soul| التي - which| حرم - Allah has forbidden,| الله - Allah has forbidden,| إلا - except| بالحق - by right.| ومن - And whoever| قتل - (is) killed| مظلوما - wrongfully,| فقد - verily| جعلنا - We have made| لوليه - for his heir| سلطانا - an authority,| فلا - but not| يسرف - he should exceed| في - in| القتل - the killing.| إنه - Indeed, he| كان - is| منصورا - helped.| | ||||||
| 13 [17:45] | Wa-itha qara/ta alqur-anajaAAalna baynaka wabayna allatheena layu/minoona bial-akhirati hijabanmastooran | وإذا قرأت القرآن جعلنا بينك وبين الذين لا يؤمنون بالآخرة حجابا مستورا وَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ الْقُرآنَ جَعَلْنَا بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ حِجَابًا مَّسْتُورًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قرأت - you recite| القرآن - the Quran,| جعلنا - We place| بينك - between you| وبين - and between| الذين - those who| لا - (do) not| يؤمنون - believe| بالآخرة - in the Hereafter| حجابا - a barrier| مستورا - hidden.| | ||||||
| 14 [17:60] | Wa-ith qulna laka inna rabbakaahata bialnnasi wama jaAAalnaalrru/ya allatee araynaka illafitnatan lilnnasi waalshshajarataalmalAAoonata fee alqur-ani wanukhawwifuhum famayazeeduhum illa tughyanan kabeeran | وإذ قلنا لك إن ربك أحاط بالناس وما جعلنا الرؤيا التي أريناك إلا فتنة للناس والشجرة الملعونة في القرآن ونخوفهم فما يزيدهم إلا طغيانا كبيرا وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لَكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ أَحَاطَ بِالنَّاسِ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الرُّؤيَا الَّتِي أَرَيْنَاكَ إِلاَّ فِتْنَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَالشَّجَرَةَ الْمَلْعُونَةَ فِي القُرْآنِ وَنُخَوِّفُهُمْ فَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلاَّ طُغْيَانًا كَبِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said| لك - to you,| إن - "Indeed,| ربك - your Lord| أحاط - has encompassed| بالناس - the mankind."| وما - And not| جعلنا - We made| الرؤيا - the vision| التي - which| أريناك - We showed you| إلا - except| فتنة - (as) a trial| للناس - for mankind,| والشجرة - and the tree| الملعونة - the accursed| في - in| القرآن - the Quran.| ونخوفهم - And We threaten them| فما - but not| يزيدهم - it increases them| إلا - except| طغيانا - (in) transgression| كبيرا - great.| | ||||||
| 15 [18:7] | Inna jaAAalna ma AAalaal-ardi zeenatan laha linabluwahum ayyuhum ahsanuAAamalan | إنا جعلنا ما على الأرض زينة لها لنبلوهم أيهم أحسن عملا إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ زِينَةً لَّهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلاً | |||||
| Words | |إنا - Indeed, We| جعلنا - We have made| ما - what| على - (is) on| الأرض - the earth| زينة - adornment| لها - for it,| لنبلوهم - that We may test [them]| أيهم - which of them| أحسن - (is) best| عملا - (in) deed.| | ||||||
| 16 [18:32] | Waidrib lahum mathalanrajulayni jaAAalna li-ahadihima jannataynimin aAAnabin wahafafnahuma binakhlinwajaAAalna baynahuma zarAAan | واضرب لهم مثلا رجلين جعلنا لأحدهما جنتين من أعناب وحففناهما بنخل وجعلنا بينهما زرعا وَاضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلاً رَّجُلَيْنِ جَعَلْنَا لِأَحَدِهِمَا جَنَّتَيْنِ مِنْ أَعْنَابٍ وَحَفَفْنَاهُمَا بِنَخْلٍ وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمَا زَرْعًا | |||||
| Words | |واضرب - And set forth| لهم - to them| مثلا - the example| رجلين - of two men:| جعلنا - We provided| لأحدهما - for one of them| جنتين - two gardens| من - of| أعناب - grapes,| وحففناهما - and We bordered them| بنخل - with date-palms,| وجعلنا - and We placed| بينهما - between both of them| زرعا - crops.| | ||||||
| 17 [18:57] | Waman athlamu mimman thukkirabi-ayati rabbihi faaAArada AAanhawanasiya ma qaddamat yadahu inna jaAAalnaAAala quloobihim akinnatan an yafqahoohu wafee athanihimwaqran wa-in tadAAuhum ila alhuda falan yahtadoo ithanabadan | ومن أظلم ممن ذكر بآيات ربه فأعرض عنها ونسي ما قدمت يداه إنا جعلنا على قلوبهم أكنة أن يفقهوه وفي آذانهم وقرا وإن تدعهم إلى الهدى فلن يهتدوا إذا أبدا وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن ذُكِّرَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا وَنَسِيَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا وَإِن تَدْعُهُمْ إِلَى الْهُدَى فَلَن يَهْتَدُوا إِذًا أَبَدًا | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And who| أظلم - (is) more wrong| ممن - than (he) who| ذكر - is reminded| بآيات - of the Verses| ربه - (of) his Lord,| فأعرض - but turns away| عنها - from them,| ونسي - and forgets| ما - what| قدمت - have sent forth| يداه - his hands?| إنا - Indeed, We| جعلنا - [We] have placed| على - over| قلوبهم - their hearts| أكنة - coverings,| أن - lest| يفقهوه - they understand it| وفي - and in| آذانهم - their ears| وقرا - (is) deafness.| وإن - And if| تدعهم - you call them| إلى - to| الهدى - the guidance,| فلن - then never| يهتدوا - they will be guided| إذا - then| أبدا - ever.| | ||||||
| 18 [19:49] | Falamma iAAtazalahum wamayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi wahabna lahu ishaqawayaAAqooba wakullan jaAAalna nabiyyan | فلما اعتزلهم وما يعبدون من دون الله وهبنا له إسحاق ويعقوب وكلا جعلنا نبيا فَلَمَّا اعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَكُلاًّ جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّا | |||||
| Words | |فلما - So when| اعتزلهم - he left them| وما - and what| يعبدون - they worshipped| من - besides Allah,| دون - besides Allah,| الله - besides Allah,| وهبنا - [and] We bestowed| له - [to] him| إسحاق - Isaac| ويعقوب - and Yaqub,| وكلا - and each (of them)| جعلنا - We made| نبيا - a Prophet.| | ||||||
| 19 [21:34] | Wama jaAAalna libasharin minqablika alkhulda afa-in mitta fahumu alkhalidoona | وما جعلنا لبشر من قبلك الخلد أفإن مت فهم الخالدون وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ أَفَإِن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ الْخَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| جعلنا - We made| لبشر - for any man| من - before you| قبلك - before you| الخلد - [the] immortality;| أفإن - so if| مت - you die,| فهم - then (would) they| الخالدون - live forever?| | ||||||
| 20 [21:72] | Wawahabna lahu ishaqawayaAAqooba nafilatan wakullan jaAAalna saliheena | ووهبنا له إسحاق ويعقوب نافلة وكلا جعلنا صالحين وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَالِحِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ووهبنا - And We bestowed| له - on him| إسحاق - Isaac| ويعقوب - and Yaqub| نافلة - (in) addition,| وكلا - and all| جعلنا - We made| صالحين - righteous.| | ||||||
