| 1 [2:72] | Wa-ith qataltum nafsan faiddara/tumfeeha waAllahu mukhrijun ma kuntumtaktumoona |  وإذ قتلتم نفسا فادارأتم فيها والله مخرج ما كنتم تكتمونوَإِذْ قَتَلْتُمْ نَفْساً فَادَّارَأْتُمْ فِيهَا وَاللّهُ مُخْرِجٌ مَّا كُنْـتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قتلتم - you killed| نفسا - a man,| فادارأتم - then you disputed| فيها - concerning it,| والله - but Allah| مخرج - (is) the One Who brought forth| ما - what| كنتم - you were| تكتمون - concealing.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:286] | La yukallifu Allahu nafsanilla wusAAaha laha ma kasabatwaAAalayha ma iktasabat rabbana latu-akhithna in naseena aw akhta/narabbana wala tahmil AAalayna isrankama hamaltahu AAala allatheena minqablina rabbana wala tuhammilnama la taqata lana bihi waoAAfuAAanna waighfir lana wairhamnaanta mawlana faonsurna AAalaalqawmi alkafireena | لا يكلف الله نفسا إلا وسعها لها ما كسبت وعليها ما اكتسبت ربنا لا تؤاخذنا إن نسينا أو أخطأنا ربنا ولا تحمل علينا إصرا كما حملته على الذين من قبلنا ربنا ولا تحملنا ما لا طاقة لنا به واعف عنا واغفر لنا وارحمنا أنت مولانا فانصرنا على القوم الكافرين لاَ يُكَلِّفُ اللّهُ نَفْسًا إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ رَبَّنَا لاَ تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا رَبَّنَا وَلاَ تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا رَبَّنَا وَلاَ تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لاَ طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَآ أَنتَ مَوْلاَنَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |لا - (Does) not| يكلف - burden| الله - Allah| نفسا - any soul| إلا - except| وسعها - its capacity,| لها - for it| ما - what| كسبت - it earned,| وعليها - and against it| ما - what| اكتسبت - it earned.| ربنا - "Our Lord!| لا - (Do) not| تؤاخذنا - take us to task| إن - if| نسينا - we forget| أو - or| أخطأنا - we err.| ربنا - Our Lord!| ولا - And (do) not| تحمل - lay| علينا - upon us| إصرا - a burden| كما - like that| حملته - (which) You laid [it]| على - on| الذين - those who| من - (were) from| قبلنا - before us.| ربنا - Our Lord!| ولا - [And] (do) not| تحملنا - lay on us| ما - what| لا - not| طاقة - (the) strength| لنا - we have| به - [of it] (to bear).| واعف - And pardon| عنا - [from] us,| واغفر - and forgive| لنا - [for] us| وارحمنا - and have mercy on us.| أنت - You (are)| مولانا - our Protector,| فانصرنا - so help us| على - against| القوم - the people -| الكافرين - [the] disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 3 [4:4] | Waatoo alnnisaa saduqatihinnanihlatan fa-in tibna lakum AAan shay-in minhunafsan fakuloohu hanee-an maree-an | وآتوا النساء صدقاتهن نحلة فإن طبن لكم عن شيء منه نفسا فكلوه هنيئا مريئا وَآتُواْ النِّسَاءَ صَدُقَاتِهِنَّ نِحْلَةً فَإِن طِبْنَ لَكُمْ عَن شَيْءٍ مِّنْهُ نَفْسًا فَكُلُوهُ هَنِيئًا مَّرِيئًا | |||||
| Words | |وآتوا - And give| النساء - the women| صدقاتهن - their dower| نحلة - graciously.| فإن - But if| طبن - they remit| لكم - to you| عن - of| شيء - anything| منه - of it| نفسا - (on their) own,| فكلوه - then eat it| هنيئا - (in) satisfaction| مريئا - (and) ease.| | ||||||
| 4 [5:32] | Min ajli thalika katabna AAalabanee isra-eela annahu man qatala nafsan bighayri nafsinaw fasadin fee al-ardi fakaannama qatala alnnasajameeAAan waman ahyaha fakaannama ahyaalnnasa jameeAAan walaqad jaat-hum rusulunabialbayyinati thumma inna katheeran minhum baAAda thalikafee al-ardi lamusrifoona | من أجل ذلك كتبنا على بني إسرائيل أنه من قتل نفسا بغير نفس أو فساد في الأرض فكأنما قتل الناس جميعا ومن أحياها فكأنما أحيا الناس جميعا ولقد جاءتهم رسلنا بالبينات ثم إن كثيرا منهم بعد ذلك في الأرض لمسرفون مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنَّهُ مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَلَقَدْ جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا بِالبَيِّنَاتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فِي الْأَرْضِ لَمُسْرِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |من - From| أجل - time| ذلك - that,| كتبنا - We ordained| على - on| بني - (the) Children| إسرائيل - (of) Israel| أنه - that he| من - who| قتل - kills| نفسا - a soul| بغير - other than| نفس - (for) a soul| أو - or| فساد - (for) spreading corruption| في - in| الأرض - the earth| فكأنما - then (it) is as if| قتل - he has killed| الناس - mankind,| جميعا - all,| ومن - and whoever| أحياها - saves it| فكأنما - then (it) is as if| أحيا - he has saved| الناس - mankind.| جميعا - all.| ولقد - And surely| جاءتهم - came to them| رسلنا - Our Messengers| بالبينات - with clear Signs| ثم - yet,| إن - indeed,| كثيرا - many| منهم - of them| بعد - after| ذلك - that| في - in| الأرض - the earth| لمسرفون - (are) surely those who commit excesses.| | ||||||
| 5 [6:152] | Wala taqraboo mala alyateemiilla biallatee hiya ahsanu hattayablugha ashuddahu waawfoo alkayla waalmeezana bialqistila nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha wa-ithaqultum faiAAdiloo walaw kana tha qurbawabiAAahdi Allahi awfoo thalikum wassakumbihi laAAallakum tathakkaroona | ولا تقربوا مال اليتيم إلا بالتي هي أحسن حتى يبلغ أشده وأوفوا الكيل والميزان بالقسط لا نكلف نفسا إلا وسعها وإذا قلتم فاعدلوا ولو كان ذا قربى وبعهد الله أوفوا ذلكم وصاكم به لعلكم تذكرون وَلاَ تَقْرَبُواْ مَالَ الْيَتِيمِ إِلاَّ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَأَوْفُواْ الْكَيْلَ وَالْمِيزَانَ بِالْقِسْطِ لاَ نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَاعْدِلُواْ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَى وَبِعَهْدِ اللّهِ أَوْفُواْ ذَلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُم بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تقربوا - go near| مال - wealth| اليتيم - (of) the orphans| إلا - except| بالتي - with that| هي - which| أحسن - (is) best| حتى - until| يبلغ - he reaches| أشده - his maturity.| وأوفوا - And give full| الكيل - [the] measure| والميزان - and the weight| بالقسط - with justice.| لا - Not| نكلف - We burden| نفسا - any soul| إلا - except| وسعها - (to) its capacity.| وإذا - And when| قلتم - you speak| فاعدلوا - then be just| ولو - even if| كان - he is| ذا - (one of).| قربى - a near relative.| وبعهد - And (the) Covenant| الله - (of) Allah| أوفوا - fulfil.| ذلكم - That| وصاكم - (He) has enjoined on you| به - with it| لعلكم - so that you may| تذكرون - remember.| | ||||||
| 6 [6:158] | Hal yanthuroona illaan ta/tiyahumu almala-ikatu aw ya/tiya rabbuka aw ya/tiyabaAAdu ayati rabbika yawma ya/tee baAAduayati rabbika la yanfaAAu nafsan eemanuhalam takun amanat min qablu aw kasabat fee eemanihakhayran quli intathiroo inna muntathiroona | هل ينظرون إلا أن تأتيهم الملائكة أو يأتي ربك أو يأتي بعض آيات ربك يوم يأتي بعض آيات ربك لا ينفع نفسا إيمانها لم تكن آمنت من قبل أو كسبت في إيمانها خيرا قل انتظروا إنا منتظرون هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلاَّ أَن تَأْتِيهُمُ الْمَلَآئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ رَبُّكَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ لاَ يَنفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِن قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا قُلِ انتَظِرُواْ إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |هل - Are| ينظرون - they waiting| إلا - except| أن - that| تأتيهم - comes to them| الملائكة - the Angels| أو - or| يأتي - comes| ربك - your Lord| أو - or| يأتي - comes| بعض - some (of)| آيات - (the) Signs| ربك - (of) your Lord?| يوم - (The) Day| يأتي - (when) comes| بعض - some (of)| آيات - (the) Signs| ربك - (of) your Lord,| لا - not| ينفع - will benefit| نفسا - a soul| إيمانها - its faith,| لم - not| تكن - (if) it had| آمنت - believed| من - from| قبل - before| أو - or| كسبت - earned| في - through| إيمانها - its faith| خيرا - any good.| قل - Say,| انتظروا - "Wait.| إنا - Indeed, we| منتظرون - (are) those who wait."| | ||||||
| 7 [7:42] | Waallatheena amanoowaAAamiloo alssalihati la nukallifunafsan illa wusAAaha ola-ika as-habualjannati hum feeha khalidoona | والذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات لا نكلف نفسا إلا وسعها أولئك أصحاب الجنة هم فيها خالدون وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ الصَّالِحَاتِ لاَ نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا أُوْلَـئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - But those who| آمنوا - believe| وعملوا - and do| الصالحات - [the] righteous deeds| لا - not| نكلف - We burden| نفسا - any soul| إلا - except| وسعها - (to) its capacity.| أولئك - Those| أصحاب - (are the) companions| الجنة - (of) Paradise,| هم - they| فيها - in it| خالدون - (will) abide forever.| | ||||||
| 8 [18:74] | Faintalaqa hattaitha laqiya ghulaman faqatalahu qalaaqatalta nafsan zakiyyatan bighayri nafsin laqad ji/ta shay-annukran | فانطلقا حتى إذا لقيا غلاما فقتله قال أقتلت نفسا زكية بغير نفس لقد جئت شيئا نكرا فَانطَلَقَا حَتَّى إِذَا لَقِيَا غُلاَمًا فَقَتَلَهُ قَالَ أَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا زَكِيَّةً بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ لَّقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئًا نُّكْرًا | |||||
| Words | |فانطلقا - Then they both set out| حتى - until| إذا - when| لقيا - they met| غلاما - a boy,| فقتله - then he killed him.| قال - He said,| أقتلت - "Have you killed| نفسا - a soul,| زكية - pure,| بغير - for other than| نفس - a soul?| لقد - Certainly,| جئت - you have done| شيئا - a thing| نكرا - evil."| | ||||||
| 9 [20:40] | Ith tamshee okhtuka fataqoolu haladullukum AAala man yakfuluhu farajaAAnaka ilaommika kay taqarra AAaynuha wala tahzanawaqatalta nafsan fanajjaynaka mina alghammi wafatannakafutoonan falabithta sineena fee ahli madyana thumma ji/ta AAalaqadarin ya moosa | إذ تمشي أختك فتقول هل أدلكم على من يكفله فرجعناك إلى أمك كي تقر عينها ولا تحزن وقتلت نفسا فنجيناك من الغم وفتناك فتونا فلبثت سنين في أهل مدين ثم جئت على قدر يا موسى إِذْ تَمْشِي أُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَن يَكْفُلُهُ فَرَجَعْنَاكَ إِلَى أُمِّكَ كَيْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا فَنَجَّيْنَاكَ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّاكَ فُتُونًا فَلَبِثْتَ سِنِينَ فِي أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ عَلَى قَدَرٍ يَا مُوسَى | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| تمشي - was going| أختك - your sister| فتقول - and she said,| هل - "Shall,| أدلكم - I show you| على - [to]| من - (one) who| يكفله - will nurse and rear him?"| فرجعناك - So We returned you| إلى - to| أمك - your mother| كي - that| تقر - may be cooled| عينها - her eyes| ولا - and not| تحزن - she grieves.| وقتلت - And you killed| نفسا - a man,| فنجيناك - but We saved you| من - from| الغم - the distress,| وفتناك - and We tried you| فتونا - (with) a trial.| فلبثت - Then you remained| سنين - (some) years| في - with| أهل - (the) people| مدين - (of) Madyan.| ثم - Then| جئت - you came| على - at| قدر - the decreed (time)| يا - O| موسى - O Musa!| | ||||||
| 10 [23:62] | Wala nukallifu nafsan illawusAAaha waladayna kitabun yantiqu bialhaqqiwahum la yuthlamoona | ولا نكلف نفسا إلا وسعها ولدينا كتاب ينطق بالحق وهم لا يظلمون وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَابٌ يَنطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And not| نكلف - We burden| نفسا - any soul| إلا - except| وسعها - (to) its capacity,| ولدينا - and with Us| كتاب - (is) a Record| ينطق - (which) speaks| بالحق - with the truth;| وهم - and they| لا - (will) not| يظلمون - be wronged.| | ||||||
| 11 [28:19] | Falamma an arada an yabtishabiallathee huwa AAaduwwun lahuma qalaya moosa atureedu an taqtulanee kama qataltanafsan bial-amsi in tureedu illa an takoona jabbaranfee al-ardi wama tureedu an takoona mina almusliheena | فلما أن أراد أن يبطش بالذي هو عدو لهما قال يا موسى أتريد أن تقتلني كما قتلت نفسا بالأمس إن تريد إلا أن تكون جبارا في الأرض وما تريد أن تكون من المصلحين فَلَمَّا أَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَبْطِشَ بِالَّذِي هُوَ عَدُوٌّ لَّهُمَا قَالَ يَا مُوسَى أَتُرِيدُ أَن تَقْتُلَنِي كَمَا قَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا بِالْأَمْسِ إِن تُرِيدُ إِلَّا أَن تَكُونَ جَبَّارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - Then when| أن - [that]| أراد - he wanted| أن - to| يبطش - strike| بالذي - the one who| هو - [he] (was)| عدو - an enemy| لهما - to both of them,| قال - he said,| يا - O| موسى - "O Musa!| أتريد - Do you intend| أن - to| تقتلني - kill me| كما - as| قتلت - you killed| نفسا - a person| بالأمس - yesterday?| إن - Not| تريد - you want| إلا - but| أن - that| تكون - you become| جبارا - a tyrant| في - in| الأرض - the earth,| وما - and not| تريد - you want| أن - that| تكون - you be| من - of| المصلحين - the reformers."| | ||||||
| 12 [28:33] | Qala rabbi innee qataltu minhumnafsan faakhafu an yaqtulooni | قال رب إني قتلت منهم نفسا فأخاف أن يقتلون قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي قَتَلْتُ مِنْهُمْ نَفْسًا فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord!| إني - Indeed,| قتلت - I killed| منهم - of them| نفسا - a man,| فأخاف - and I fear| أن - that| يقتلون - they will kill me.| | ||||||
| 13 [63:11] | Walan yu-akhkhira Allahu nafsan ithajaa ajaluha waAllahu khabeerun bimataAAmaloona | ولن يؤخر الله نفسا إذا جاء أجلها والله خبير بما تعملون وَلَن يُؤَخِّرَ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهَا وَاللَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولن - But never| يؤخر - will (be) delayed| الله - (by) Allah| نفسا - a soul| إذا - when| جاء - has come| أجلها - its term.| والله - And Allah| خبير - (is) All-Aware| بما - of what| تعملون - you do.| | ||||||
| 14 [65:7] | Liyunfiq thoo saAAatin min saAAatihiwaman qudira AAalayhi rizquhu falyunfiq mimma atahuAllahu la yukallifu Allahu nafsan illama ataha sayajAAalu AllahubaAAda AAusrin yusran | لينفق ذو سعة من سعته ومن قدر عليه رزقه فلينفق مما آتاه الله لا يكلف الله نفسا إلا ما آتاها سيجعل الله بعد عسر يسرا لِيُنفِقْ ذُو سَعَةٍ مِّن سَعَتِهِ وَمَن قُدِرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُ فَلْيُنفِقْ مِمَّا آتَاهُ اللَّهُ لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا مَا آتَاهَا سَيَجْعَلُ اللَّهُ بَعْدَ عُسْرٍ يُسْرًا | |||||
| Words | |لينفق - Let spend| ذو - owner| سعة - (of) ample means| من - from| سعته - his ample means,| ومن - and (he) who,| قدر - is restricted| عليه - on him| رزقه - his provision,| فلينفق - let him spend| مما - from what| آتاه - he has been given| الله - (by) Allah.| لا - Does not| يكلف - burden| الله - Allah| نفسا - any soul| إلا - except| ما - (with) what| آتاها - He has given it.| سيجعل - Will bring about| الله - Allah| بعد - after| عسر - hardship| يسرا - ease.| | ||||||
