| 1 [2:266] | Ayawaddu ahadukum an takoona lahujannatun min nakheelin waaAAnabin tajree min tahtihaal-anharu lahu feeha min kulli alththamaratiwaasabahu alkibaru walahu thurriyyatun duAAafaofaasabaha iAAsarun feehi narun faihtaraqatkathalika yubayyinu Allahu lakumu al-ayatilaAAallakum tatafakkaroona |  أيود أحدكم أن تكون له جنة من نخيل وأعناب تجري من تحتها الأنهار له فيها من كل الثمرات وأصابه الكبر وله ذرية ضعفاء فأصابها إعصار فيه نار فاحترقت كذلك يبين الله لكم الآيات لعلكم تتفكرونأَيَوَدُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن تَكُونَ لَهُ جَنَّةٌ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ لَهُ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ وَأَصَابَهُ الْكِبَرُ وَلَهُ ذُرِّيَّةٌ ضُعَفَاءُ فَأَصَابَهَا إِعْصَارٌ فِيهِ نَارٌ فَاحْتَرَقَتْ كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أيود - Would like| أحدكم - any of you| أن - that| تكون - it be| له - for him| جنة - a garden,| من - of| نخيل - date-palms| وأعناب - and grapevines| تجري - flowing| من - [from]| تحتها - underneath it| الأنهار - the rivers,| له - for him| فيها - in it| من - of| كل - all (kinds)| الثمرات - (of) [the] fruits,| وأصابه - and strikes him| الكبر - [the] old age| وله - and [for] his| ذرية - children| ضعفاء - (are) weak| فأصابها - then falls on it| إعصار - whirlwind,| فيه - in it| نار - (is) fire| فاحترقت - then it is burnt.| كذلك - Thus| يبين - makes clear| الله - Allah| لكم - for you| الآيات - (His) Signs| لعلكم - so that you may| تتفكرون - ponder.| | ||||||
| 2 [7:12] | Qala ma manaAAaka allatasjuda ith amartuka qala ana khayrun minhukhalaqtanee min narin wakhalaqtahu min teenin | قال ما منعك ألا تسجد إذ أمرتك قال أنا خير منه خلقتني من نار وخلقته من طين قَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَلاَّ تَسْجُدَ إِذْ أَمَرْتُكَ قَالَ أَنَاْ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِن طِينٍ | |||||
| Words | |قال - (Allah) said,| ما - "What| منعك - prevented you| ألا - that not| تسجد - you prostrate| إذ - when| أمرتك - I commanded you?"| قال - (Shaitaan) said,| أنا - "I am| خير - better| منه - than him.| خلقتني - You created me| من - from| نار - fire| وخلقته - and You created him| من - from| طين - clay."| | ||||||
| 3 [9:35] | Yawma yuhma AAalayhafee nari jahannama fatukwa biha jibahuhumwajunoobuhum wathuhooruhum hatha makanaztum li-anfusikum fathooqoo ma kuntum taknizoona | يوم يحمى عليها في نار جهنم فتكوى بها جباههم وجنوبهم وظهورهم هذا ما كنزتم لأنفسكم فذوقوا ما كنتم تكنزون يَوْمَ يُحْمَى عَلَيْهَا فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُكْوَى بِهَا جِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنوبُهُمْ وَظُهُورُهُمْ هَـذَا مَا كَنَزْتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ فَذُوقُواْ مَا كُنتُمْ تَكْنِزُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يوم - (The) Day| يحمى - it will be heated [on it]| عليها - it will be heated [on it]| في - in| نار - the Fire| جهنم - (of) Hell,| فتكوى - and will be branded| بها - with it| جباههم - their foreheads| وجنوبهم - and their flanks| وظهورهم - and their backs,| هذا - "This| ما - (is) what| كنزتم - you hoarded| لأنفسكم - for yourselves,| فذوقوا - so taste| ما - what| كنتم - you used to| تكنزون - hoard."| | ||||||
| 4 [9:63] | Alam yaAAlamoo annahu man yuhadidiAllaha warasoolahu faanna lahu nara jahannama khalidanfeeha thalika alkhizyu alAAatheemu | ألم يعلموا أنه من يحادد الله ورسوله فأن له نار جهنم خالدا فيها ذلك الخزي العظيم أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُواْ أَنَّهُ مَن يُحَادِدِ اللّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَأَنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا فِيهَا ذَلِكَ الْخِزْيُ الْعَظِيمُ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Do not| يعلموا - they know| أنه - that he| من - who| يحادد - opposes| الله - Allah| ورسوله - and His Messenger,| فأن - [then] that,| له - for him| نار - (is the) Fire| جهنم - (of) Hell,| خالدا - (will) abide forever| فيها - in it?| ذلك - That| الخزي - (is) the disgrace| العظيم - the great.| | ||||||
| 5 [9:68] | WaAAada Allahu almunafiqeenawaalmunafiqati waalkuffara narajahannama khalideena feeha hiya hasbuhumwalaAAanahumu Allahu walahum AAathabun muqeemun | وعد الله المنافقين والمنافقات والكفار نار جهنم خالدين فيها هي حسبهم ولعنهم الله ولهم عذاب مقيم وَعَدَ الله الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ وَالْكُفَّارَ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا هِيَ حَسْبُهُمْ وَلَعَنَهُمُ اللّهُ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وعد - Allah has promised| الله - Allah has promised| المنافقين - the hypocrite men,| والمنافقات - and the hypocrite women| والكفار - and the disbelievers,| نار - Fire| جهنم - (of) Hell,| خالدين - they (will) abide forever| فيها - in it.| هي - It (is)| حسبهم - sufficient for them.| ولعنهم - And Allah has cursed them,| الله - And Allah has cursed them,| ولهم - and for them| عذاب - (is) a punishment| مقيم - enduring.| | ||||||
| 6 [9:81] | Fariha almukhallafoona bimaqAAadihimkhilafa rasooli Allahi wakarihoo an yujahidoobi-amwalihim waanfusihim fee sabeeli Allahi waqaloola tanfiroo fee alharri qul naru jahannamaashaddu harran law kanoo yafqahoona | فرح المخلفون بمقعدهم خلاف رسول الله وكرهوا أن يجاهدوا بأموالهم وأنفسهم في سبيل الله وقالوا لا تنفروا في الحر قل نار جهنم أشد حرا لو كانوا يفقهون فَرِحَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ بِمَقْعَدِهِمْ خِلاَفَ رَسُولِ اللّهِ وَكَرِهُواْ أَن يُجَاهِدُواْ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَقَالُواْ لاَ تَنفِرُواْ فِي الْحَرِّ قُلْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ أَشَدُّ حَرًّا لَّوْ كَانُوا يَفْقَهُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فرح - Rejoice| المخلفون - those who remained behind| بمقعدهم - in their staying| خلاف - behind| رسول - (the) Messenger| الله - (of) Allah,| وكرهوا - and they disliked| أن - to| يجاهدوا - strive| بأموالهم - with their wealth| وأنفسهم - and their lives| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah| وقالوا - and they said,| لا - "(Do) not| تنفروا - go forth| في - in| الحر - the heat."| قل - Say,| نار - "(The) Fire| جهنم - (of) Hell| أشد - (is) more intense| حرا - (in) heat."| لو - If (only)| كانوا - they could| يفقهون - understand.| | ||||||
| 7 [9:109] | Afaman assasa bunyanahu AAalataqwa mina Allahi waridwanin khayrunam man assasa bunyanahu AAala shafa jurufinharin fainhara bihi fee narijahannama waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena | أفمن أسس بنيانه على تقوى من الله ورضوان خير أم من أسس بنيانه على شفا جرف هار فانهار به في نار جهنم والله لا يهدي القوم الظالمين أَفَمَنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَانَهُ عَلَى تَقْوَى مِنَ اللّهِ وَرِضْوَانٍ خَيْرٌ أَم مَّنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَانَهُ عَلَىَ شَفَا جُرُفٍ هَارٍ فَانْهَارَ بِهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ وَاللّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |أفمن - Then is (one) who| أسس - founded| بنيانه - his building| على - on| تقوى - righteousness| من - from| الله - Allah| ورضوان - and (His) pleasure| خير - better| أم - or| من - (one) who| أسس - founded| بنيانه - his building| على - on| شفا - edge| جرف - (of) a cliff| هار - (about to) collapse,| فانهار - so it collapsed| به - with him| في - in| نار - (the) Fire| جهنم - (of) Hell.| والله - And Allah| لا - (does) not| يهدي - guide| القوم - the wrongdoing people.| الظالمين - the wrongdoing people.| | ||||||
| 8 [15:27] | Waaljanna khalaqnahumin qablu min nari alssamoomi | والجان خلقناه من قبل من نار السموم وَالْجَآنَّ خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن قَبْلُ مِن نَّارِ السَّمُومِ | |||||
| Words | |والجان - And the jinn| خلقناه - We created it| من - before| قبل - before| من - from| نار - fire| السموم - scorching.| | ||||||
| 9 [21:69] | Qulna ya naru kooneebardan wasalaman AAala ibraheema | قلنا يا نار كوني بردا وسلاما على إبراهيم قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ | |||||
| Words | |قلنا - We said,| يا - O| نار - "O fire!| كوني - Be| بردا - cool[ness]| وسلاما - and safe[ty]| على - for| إبراهيم - Ibrahim."| | ||||||
| 10 [22:19] | Hathani khasmani ikhtasamoofee rabbihim faallatheena kafaroo quttiAAatlahum thiyabun min narin yusabbu min fawqiruoosihimu alhameemu | هذان خصمان اختصموا في ربهم فالذين كفروا قطعت لهم ثياب من نار يصب من فوق رءوسهم الحميم هَذَانِ خَصْمَانِ اخْتَصَمُوا فِي رَبِّهِمْ فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌ مِّن نَّارٍ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُؤُوسِهِمُ الْحَمِيمُ | |||||
| Words | |هذان - These two| خصمان - opponents| اختصموا - dispute| في - concerning| ربهم - their Lord.| فالذين - But those who| كفروا - disbelieved| قطعت - will be cut out| لهم - for them| ثياب - garments| من - of| نار - fire.| يصب - Will be poured| من - over| فوق - over| رءوسهم - their heads| الحميم - [the] scalding water.| | ||||||
| 11 [24:35] | Allahu nooru alssamawatiwaal-ardi mathalu noorihi kamishkatin feehamisbahun almisbahu fee zujajatinalzzujajatu kaannaha kawkabun durriyyunyooqadu min shajaratin mubarakatin zaytoonatin lasharqiyyatin wala gharbiyyatin yakadu zaytuhayudee-o walaw lam tamsas-hu narun noorun AAalanoorin yahdee Allahu linoorihi man yashao wayadribuAllahu al-amthala lilnnasi waAllahubikulli shay-in AAaleemun | الله نور السماوات والأرض مثل نوره كمشكاة فيها مصباح المصباح في زجاجة الزجاجة كأنها كوكب دري يوقد من شجرة مباركة زيتونة لا شرقية ولا غربية يكاد زيتها يضيء ولو لم تمسسه نار نور على نور يهدي الله لنوره من يشاء ويضرب الله الأمثال للناس والله بكل شيء عليم اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكَاةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ الْمِصْبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍ الزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍ مُّبَارَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ نُّورٌ عَلَى نُورٍ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ لِنُورِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |الله - Allah| نور - (is the) Light| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| مثل - (The) example| نوره - (of) His Light| كمشكاة - (is) like a niche| فيها - in it| مصباح - (is) a lamp;| المصباح - the lamp| في - (is) in| زجاجة - a glass,| الزجاجة - the glass| كأنها - as if it were| كوكب - a star| دري - brilliant| يوقد - (which) is lit| من - from| شجرة - a tree| مباركة - blessed -| زيتونة - an olive,| لا - not| شرقية - (of the) east| ولا - and not| غربية - (of the) west,| يكاد - would almost| زيتها - its oil| يضيء - glow,| ولو - even if| لم - not| تمسسه - touched it| نار - fire.| نور - Light| على - upon| نور - Light.| يهدي - Allah guides| الله - Allah guides| لنوره - to His Light| من - whom| يشاء - He wills.| ويضرب - And Allah sets forth| الله - And Allah sets forth| الأمثال - the examples| للناس - for the mankind.| والله - And Allah| بكل - of every| شيء - thing| عليم - (is) All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 12 [35:36] | Waallatheena kafaroo lahum narujahannama la yuqda AAalayhim fayamootoo walayukhaffafu AAanhum min AAathabiha kathalikanajzee kulla kafoorin | والذين كفروا لهم نار جهنم لا يقضى عليهم فيموتوا ولا يخفف عنهم من عذابها كذلك نجزي كل كفور وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَهُمْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يُقْضَى عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَمُوتُوا وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُم مِّنْ عَذَابِهَا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي كُلَّ كَفُورٍ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| لهم - for them| نار - (will be the) Fire| جهنم - (of) Hell.| لا - Not| يقضى - is decreed| عليهم - for them| فيموتوا - that they die,| ولا - and not| يخفف - will be lightened| عنهم - for them| من - of| عذابها - its torment.| كذلك - Thus| نجزي - We recompense| كل - every| كفور - ungrateful one.| | ||||||
| 13 [38:76] | Qala ana khayrun minhukhalaqtanee min narin wakhalaqtahu min teenin | قال أنا خير منه خلقتني من نار وخلقته من طين قَالَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِن طِينٍ | |||||

| 16 [55:35] | Yursalu AAalaykuma shuwathunmin narin wanuhasun fala tantasirani | يرسل عليكما شواظ من نار ونحاس فلا تنتصران يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ | |||||

| 17 [72:23] | Illa balaghan mina Allahiwarisalatihi waman yaAAsi Allahawarasoolahu fa-inna lahu nara jahannama khalideenafeeha abadan | إلا بلاغا من الله ورسالاته ومن يعص الله ورسوله فإن له نار جهنم خالدين فيها أبدا إِلَّا بَلَاغًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِسَالَاتِهِ وَمَن يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا | |||||
| Words | |إلا - But| بلاغا - (the) notification| من - from| الله - Allah| ورسالاته - and His Messages."| ومن - And whoever| يعص - disobeys| الله - Allah| ورسوله - and His Messenger,| فإن - then indeed,| له - for him| نار - (is the) Fire| جهنم - (of) Hell,| خالدين - (they will) abide| فيها - therein| أبدا - forever.| | ||||||
| 18 [90:20] | AAalayhim narun mu/sadatun | عليهم نار مؤصدة عَلَيْهِمْ نَارٌ مُّؤْصَدَةٌ | |||||

| 19 [98:6] | Inna allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabiwaalmushrikeena fee nari jahannama khalideenafeeha ola-ika hum sharru albariyyati | إن الذين كفروا من أهل الكتاب والمشركين في نار جهنم خالدين فيها أولئك هم شر البرية إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ | |||||
