[2:266] | Ayawaddu ahadukum an takoona lahujannatun min nakheelin waaAAnabin tajree min tahtihaal-anharu lahu feeha min kulli alththamaratiwaasabahu alkibaru walahu thurriyyatun duAAafaofaasabaha iAAsarun feehi narun faihtaraqatkathalika yubayyinu Allahu lakumu al-ayatilaAAallakum tatafakkaroona
|  أيود أحدكم أن تكون له جنة من نخيل وأعناب تجري من تحتها الأنهار له فيها من كل الثمرات وأصابه الكبر وله ذرية ضعفاء فأصابها إعصار فيه نار فاحترقت كذلك يبين الله لكم الآيات لعلكم تتفكرون
أَيَوَدُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن تَكُونَ لَهُ جَنَّةٌ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ لَهُ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ وَأَصَابَهُ الْكِبَرُ وَلَهُ ذُرِّيَّةٌ ضُعَفَاءُ فَأَصَابَهَا إِعْصَارٌ فِيهِ نَارٌ فَاحْتَرَقَتْ كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ |

| (ከእናንተ) አንዳችሁ ለርሱ ከዘምባባና ከወይኖች በስርዋ ወንዞች የሚፈሱባት አትክልት ልትኖረው፣ በውስጧም ለርሱ ከየፍሬው ሁሉ ሊኖረው እርጅናም ሊነካውና ለርሱ ደካማዎች ዝርያዎች ያሉት ሲኾን በውስጡ እሳት ያለበት ውርጭ ሊያገኛትና ልትቃጠል ይወዳልን እንደዚሁ አላህ አንቀጾችን ለእናንተ ያብራራል፤ ልታስተነትኑ ይከጀላልና፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { أيَوَدُّ } أيحب { أحدكم أن تكون له جنة } بستان { من نخيل وأعناب تجري من تحتها الأنهار له فيها } ثمر { من كل الثمرات و } قد { أصابه الكبر } فضعف من الكبر عن الكسب { وله ذُرِّيةٌ ضعفاء } أولاد صغار لا يقدرون عليه { فأصابها إعصار } ريح شديدة { فيه نار فاحترقت } ففقدها أحوج ما كان إليها وبقي هو وأولاده عجزة متحيرين لا حيلة لهم وهذا تمثيل لنفقة المرائي والمانّ في ذهابها وعدم نفعها أحوج ما يكون إليها في الآخرة والاستفهام بمعنى النفي، وعن ابن عباس هو الرجل عمل بالطاعات ثم بعث له الشيطان فعمل بالمعاصي حتى أحرق أعماله { كذلك } كما بين ما ذكر { يبين الله لكم الآيات لعلكم تتفكرون } فتعتبرون . |
| Yiwen degwen, ma tusa t id tewser, u $uôes tarwa tuôhift, day ad issirem ad isâu leonan n tezdayin akked tfeôôant, isaffen ppazzalen ddaw as, degs, i neppa, yal ppemôa? Têuza t tnifift degs times, iô$a. Akka i wen Ipbeggin Öebbi issekniyen, amar a pmeyyzem. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তোমাদের কেউ পছন্দ করে যে, তার একটি খেজুর ও আঙ্গুরের বাগান হবে, এর তলদেশ দিয়ে নহর প্রবাহিত হবে, আর এতে সর্বপ্রকার ফল-ফসল থাকবে এবং সে বার্ধক্যে পৌছবে, তার দুর্বল সন্তান সন্ততিও থাকবে, এমতাবস্থায় এ বাগানের একটি ঘূর্ণিবায়ু আসবে, যাতে আগুন রয়েছে, অনন্তর বাগানটি ভষ্মীভূত হয়ে যাবে? এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ তা’আলা তোমাদের জন্যে নিদর্শনসমূহ বর্ননা করেন-যাতে তোমরা চিন্তা-ভাবনা কর। |
| Literal | Does one of you (like that to) be for him a treed garden from palm trees and grapes, the rivers flow from below/beneath it . For him in it (are) from all the fruits, and old age struck him , and for him (are) weak descendants, (then) a twister/tornado in it fire, struck it, so it burnt. That is how God clarifies/explains to you the signs/evidences , maybe you think. |
| Yusuf Ali | Does any of you wish that he should have a garden with date-palms and vines and streams flowing underneath, and all kinds of fruit, while he is stricken with old age, and his children are not strong (enough to look after themselves)- that it should be caught in a whirlwind, with fire therein, and be burnt up? Thus doth Allah make clear to you (His) Signs; that ye may consider. |
| Pickthal | Would any of you like to have a garden of palm-trees and vines, with rivers flowing underneath it, with all kinds of fruit for him therein; and old age hath stricken him and he hath feeble offspring; and a fiery whirlwind striketh it and it is (all) consumed by fire. Thus Allah maketh plain His revelations unto you, in order that ye may give thought. |
| Arberry | Would any of you wish to have a garden of palms and vines, with rivers flowing beneath it, and all manner of fruit there for him, then old age smites him, and he has seed, but weaklings, then a whirlwind with fire smites it, and it is consumed? So God makes clear the signs to you; haply you will reflect. |

| Malik | Would any one of you like that his garden, which is full of palm trees, grape vines, and all kinds of fruits and watered by running streams, be blasted and consumed by a fiery whirlwind at the time when he has become too old and his children are too feeble to earn anything? | QXP Shabbir Ahemd** | Would any of you wish that he had a beautiful, bountiful garden of dates and vineyards with rivulets flowing underneath it, but while age catches up on him and he has feeble offspring, a fiery tornado suddenly strikes and consumes it? This is how Allah wants you to reflect upon the Long Term. Your contribution to the society ensures you the Garden which neither a tornado, nor a hurricane dare take away from you (15:48). |
