| 1 [3:64] | Qul ya ahla alkitabi taAAalawila kalimatin sawa-in baynana wabaynakum allanaAAbuda illa Allaha wala nushrika bihishay-an wala yattakhitha baAAdunabaAAdan arbaban min dooni Allahi fa-intawallaw faqooloo ishhadoo bi-anna muslimoona |  قل يا أهل الكتاب تعالوا إلى كلمة سواء بيننا وبينكم ألا نعبد إلا الله ولا نشرك به شيئا ولا يتخذ بعضنا بعضا أربابا من دون الله فإن تولوا فقولوا اشهدوا بأنا مسلمونقُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ تَعَالَوْاْ إِلَى كَلِمَةٍ سَوَاءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلاَّ نَعْبُدَ إِلاَّ اللّهَ وَلاَ نُشْرِكَ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضاً أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَقُولُواْ اشْهَدُواْ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| يا - O| أهل - "O People| الكتاب - (of) the Book!| تعالوا - Come| إلى - to| كلمة - a word| سواء - equitable| بيننا - between us| وبينكم - and between you -| ألا - that not| نعبد - we worship| إلا - except| الله - Allah,| ولا - and not| نشرك - we associate partners| به - with Him -| شيئا - anything| ولا - and not| يتخذ - take| بعضنا - some of us| بعضا - (to) others| أربابا - (as) lords| من - from| دون - besides| الله - Allah."| فإن - Then if| تولوا - they turn away,| فقولوا - then say,| اشهدوا - "Bear witness| بأنا - that we| مسلمون - (are) Muslims."| | ||||||
| 2 [9:40] | Illa tansuroohu faqad nasarahuAllahu ith akhrajahu allatheena kafaroo thaniyaithnayni ith huma fee alghari ithyaqoolu lisahibihi la tahzan inna AllahamaAAana faanzala Allahu sakeenatahu AAalayhiwaayyadahu bijunoodin lam tarawha wajaAAala kalimata allatheenakafaroo alssufla wakalimatu Allahi hiyaalAAulya waAllahu AAazeezun hakeemun | إلا تنصروه فقد نصره الله إذ أخرجه الذين كفروا ثاني اثنين إذ هما في الغار إذ يقول لصاحبه لا تحزن إن الله معنا فأنزل الله سكينته عليه وأيده بجنود لم تروها وجعل كلمة الذين كفروا السفلى وكلمة الله هي العليا والله عزيز حكيم إِلاَّ تَنصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ثَانِيَ اثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِي الْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لاَ تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللّهَ مَعَنَا فَأَنزَلَ اللّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَيَّدَهُ بِجُنُودٍ لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ السُّفْلَى وَكَلِمَةُ اللّهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا وَاللّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |إلا - If not| تنصروه - you help him,| فقد - certainly,| نصره - Allah helped him,| الله - Allah helped him,| إذ - when| أخرجه - drove him out| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved,| ثاني - the second| اثنين - (of) the two,| إذ - when| هما - they both| في - (were) in| الغار - the cave,| إذ - when| يقول - he said| لصاحبه - to his companion,| لا - "(Do) not| تحزن - grieve,| إن - indeed,| الله - Allah| معنا - (is) with us."| فأنزل - Then Allah sent down| الله - Then Allah sent down| سكينته - His tranquility| عليه - upon him,| وأيده - and supported him| بجنود - with forces| لم - which you did not see,| تروها - which you did not see,| وجعل - and made| كلمة - (the) word| الذين - (of) those who| كفروا - disbelieved| السفلى - the lowest,| وكلمة - while (the) Word| الله - (of) Allah| هي - it (is)| العليا - the highest.| والله - And Allah| عزيز - (is) All-Mighty,| حكيم - All-Wise.| | ||||||
| 3 [9:74] | Yahlifoona biAllahi maqaloo walaqad qaloo kalimata alkufri wakafaroobaAAda islamihim wahammoo bima lam yanaloowama naqamoo illa an aghnahumu Allahuwarasooluhu min fadlihi fa-in yatooboo yaku khayran lahumwa-in yatawallaw yuAAaththibhumu Allahu AAathabanaleeman fee alddunya waal-akhiratiwama lahum fee al-ardi min waliyyin wala naseerin | يحلفون بالله ما قالوا ولقد قالوا كلمة الكفر وكفروا بعد إسلامهم وهموا بما لم ينالوا وما نقموا إلا أن أغناهم الله ورسوله من فضله فإن يتوبوا يك خيرا لهم وإن يتولوا يعذبهم الله عذابا أليما في الدنيا والآخرة وما لهم في الأرض من ولي ولا نصير يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللّهِ مَا قَالُواْ وَلَقَدْ قَالُواْ كَلِمَةَ الْكُفْرِ وَكَفَرُواْ بَعْدَ إِسْلاَمِهِمْ وَهَمُّواْ بِمَا لَمْ يَنَالُواْ وَمَا نَقَمُواْ إِلاَّ أَنْ أَغْنَاهُمُ اللّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ فَإِن يَتُوبُواْ يَكُ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَإِن يَتَوَلَّوْا يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ نَصِيرٍ | |||||
| Words | |يحلفون - They swear| بالله - by Allah| ما - (that) they said nothing,| قالوا - (that) they said nothing,| ولقد - while certainly| قالوا - they said| كلمة - (the) word| الكفر - (of) the disbelief| وكفروا - and disbelieved| بعد - after| إسلامهم - their (pretense of) Islam,| وهموا - and planned| بما - [of] what| لم - not| ينالوا - they could attain.| وما - And not| نقموا - they were resentful| إلا - except| أن - that| أغناهم - Allah had enriched them| الله - Allah had enriched them| ورسوله - and His Messenger| من - of| فضله - His Bounty.| فإن - So if| يتوبوا - they repent,| يك - it is| خيرا - better| لهم - for them,| وإن - and if| يتولوا - they turn away,| يعذبهم - Allah will punish them| الله - Allah will punish them| عذابا - (with) a punishment| أليما - painful,| في - in| الدنيا - the world| والآخرة - and (in) the Hereafter.| وما - And not| لهم - for them| في - in| الأرض - the earth| من - any| ولي - protector| ولا - and not| نصير - a helper.| | ||||||
| 4 [10:19] | Wama kana alnnasuilla ommatan wahidatan faikhtalafoo walawlakalimatun sabaqat min rabbika laqudiya baynahum feemafeehi yakhtalifoona | وما كان الناس إلا أمة واحدة فاختلفوا ولولا كلمة سبقت من ربك لقضي بينهم فيما فيه يختلفون وَمَا كَانَ النَّاسُ إِلاَّ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَاخْتَلَفُواْ وَلَوْلاَ كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِيمَا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| كان - was| الناس - the mankind| إلا - but| أمة - a community,| واحدة - one,| فاختلفوا - then they differed.| ولولا - And had (it) not been| كلمة - a word| سبقت - (that) preceded| من - from| ربك - your Lord,| لقضي - surely, it (would) have been judged| بينهم - between them| فيما - concerning what| فيه - [therein]| يختلفون - they differ.| | ||||||
| 5 [11:110] | Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba faikhtulifa feehi walawla kalimatunsabaqat min rabbika laqudiya baynahum wa-innahum lafeeshakkin minhu mureebun | ولقد آتينا موسى الكتاب فاختلف فيه ولولا كلمة سبقت من ربك لقضي بينهم وإنهم لفي شك منه مريب وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ وَلَوْلاَ كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily| آتينا - We gave| موسى - Musa| الكتاب - the Book,| فاختلف - but differences arose| فيه - therein.| ولولا - And if not| كلمة - (for) a Word| سبقت - (that) preceded| من - from| ربك - your Lord,| لقضي - surely would have been judged| بينهم - between them.| وإنهم - And indeed, they| لفي - surely (are) in| شك - doubt| منه - concerning it| مريب - suspicious.| | ||||||
| 6 [11:119] | Illa man rahima rabbuka walithalikakhalaqahum watammat kalimatu rabbika laamlaanna jahannama minaaljinnati waalnnasi ajmaAAeena | إلا من رحم ربك ولذلك خلقهم وتمت كلمة ربك لأملأن جهنم من الجنة والناس أجمعين إِلاَّ مَن رَّحِمَ رَبُّكَ وَلِذَلِكَ خَلَقَهُمْ وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ لَأََمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إلا - Except| من - (on) whom| رحم - your Lord has bestowed Mercy,| ربك - your Lord has bestowed Mercy,| ولذلك - and for that| خلقهم - He created them.| وتمت - And will be fulfilled| كلمة - (the) Word of your Lord,| ربك - (the) Word of your Lord,| لأملأن - "Surely I will fill| جهنم - Hell| من - with| الجنة - the Jinn| والناس - and the men| أجمعين - all together."| | ||||||
| 7 [14:24] | Alam tara kayfa daraba Allahumathalan kalimatan tayyibatan kashajaratin tayyibatinasluha thabitun wafarAAuha fee alssama/-i | ألم تر كيف ضرب الله مثلا كلمة طيبة كشجرة طيبة أصلها ثابت وفرعها في السماء أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ ضَرَبَ اللّهُ مَثَلاً كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصْلُهَا ثَابِتٌ وَفَرْعُهَا فِي السَّمَاءِ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Do not| تر - you see| كيف - how| ضرب - Allah sets forth| الله - Allah sets forth| مثلا - the example,| كلمة - a word| طيبة - good| كشجرة - (is) like a tree| طيبة - good,| أصلها - its root| ثابت - (is) firm| وفرعها - and its branches| في - (are) in| السماء - the sky?| | ||||||
| 8 [14:26] | Wamathalu kalimatin khabeethatinkashajaratin khabeethatin ijtuththat min fawqi al-ardi malaha min qararin | ومثل كلمة خبيثة كشجرة خبيثة اجتثت من فوق الأرض ما لها من قرار وَمَثلُ كَلِمَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ كَشَجَرَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ اجْتُثَّتْ مِن فَوْقِ الْأَرْضِ مَا لَهَا مِن قَرَارٍ | |||||
| Words | |ومثل - And (the) example| كلمة - (of) a word| خبيثة - evil| كشجرة - (is) like a tree| خبيثة - evil,| اجتثت - uprooted| من - from| فوق - the surface| الأرض - (of) the earth,| ما - not| لها - for it| من - (is) any| قرار - stability.| | ||||||
| 9 [18:5] | Ma lahum bihi min AAilmin walali-aba-ihim kaburat kalimatan takhruju min afwahihimin yaqooloona illa kathiban | ما لهم به من علم ولا لآبائهم كبرت كلمة تخرج من أفواههم إن يقولون إلا كذبا مَّا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ وَلَا لِآبَائِهِمْ كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ إِن يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبًا | |||||
| Words | |ما - Not| لهم - they have| به - about it| من - any| علم - knowledge| ولا - and not| لآبائهم - their forefathers.| كبرت - Grave (is)| كلمة - the word| تخرج - (that) comes out| من - of| أفواههم - their mouths.| إن - Not| يقولون - they say| إلا - except| كذبا - a lie.| | ||||||
| 10 [20:129] | Walawla kalimatun sabaqat minrabbika lakana lizaman waajalun musamman | ولولا كلمة سبقت من ربك لكان لزاما وأجل مسمى وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَكَانَ لِزَامًا وَأَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى | |||||
| Words | |ولولا - And if not| كلمة - (for) a Word| سبقت - (that) preceded| من - from| ربك - your Lord,| لكان - surely (would) have been| لزاما - an obligation| وأجل - and a term| مسمى - determined.| | ||||||
| 11 [23:100] | LaAAallee aAAmalu salihanfeema taraktu kalla innaha kalimatun huwa qa-iluhawamin wara-ihim barzakhun ila yawmi yubAAathoona | لعلي أعمل صالحا فيما تركت كلا إنها كلمة هو قائلها ومن ورائهم برزخ إلى يوم يبعثون لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ كَلَّا إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا وَمِن وَرَائِهِم بَرْزَخٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ | |||||
| Words | |لعلي - That I may| أعمل - do| صالحا - righteous (deeds)| فيما - in what| تركت - I left behind."| كلا - No!| إنها - Indeed, it| كلمة - (is) a word| هو - he| قائلها - speaks it,| ومن - and before them| ورائهم - and before them| برزخ - (is) a barrier| إلى - till| يوم - (the) Day| يبعثون - they are resurrected.| | ||||||
| 12 [39:19] | Afaman haqqa AAalayhi kalimatu alAAathabiafaanta tunqithu man fee alnnari | أفمن حق عليه كلمة العذاب أفأنت تنقذ من في النار أَفَمَنْ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ كَلِمَةُ الْعَذَابِ أَفَأَنتَ تُنقِذُ مَن فِي النَّارِ | |||||
| Words | |أفمن - Then, is (one) who,| حق - became due| عليه - on him| كلمة - the word| العذاب - (of) the punishment?| أفأنت - Then can you| تنقذ - save| من - (one) who| في - (is) in| النار - the Fire?| | ||||||
| 13 [39:71] | Waseeqa allatheena kafaroo ilajahannama zumaran hatta itha jaoohafutihat abwabuha waqala lahumkhazanatuha alam ya/tikum rusulun minkum yatloonaAAalaykum ayati rabbikum wayunthiroonakumliqaa yawmikum hatha qaloo bala walakinhaqqat kalimatu alAAathabi AAala alkafireena | وسيق الذين كفروا إلى جهنم زمرا حتى إذا جاءوها فتحت أبوابها وقال لهم خزنتها ألم يأتكم رسل منكم يتلون عليكم آيات ربكم وينذرونكم لقاء يومكم هذا قالوا بلى ولكن حقت كلمة العذاب على الكافرين وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ زُمَرًا حَتَّى إِذَا جَاؤُوهَا فُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِ رَبِّكُمْ وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا قَالُوا بَلَى وَلَكِنْ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَةُ الْعَذَابِ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وسيق - And (will) be driven| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve| إلى - to| جهنم - Hell| زمرا - (in) groups| حتى - until| إذا - when| جاءوها - they reach it,| فتحت - (will) be opened| أبوابها - its gates| وقال - and (will) say| لهم - to them| خزنتها - its keepers,| ألم - "Did not| يأتكم - come to you| رسل - Messengers| منكم - from you| يتلون - reciting| عليكم - to you| آيات - (the) Verses| ربكم - (of) your Lord| وينذرونكم - and warning you| لقاء - (of the) meeting| يومكم - (of) your Day| هذا - this?"| قالوا - They (will) say,| بلى - "Yes!"| ولكن - But| حقت - has been justified| كلمة - (the) word| العذاب - (of) punishment| على - against| الكافرين - the disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 14 [41:45] | Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba faikhtulifa feehi walawla kalimatunsabaqat min rabbika laqudiya baynahum wa-innahum lafeeshakkin minhu mureebin | ولقد آتينا موسى الكتاب فاختلف فيه ولولا كلمة سبقت من ربك لقضي بينهم وإنهم لفي شك منه مريب وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍ | |||||

| 15 [42:14] | Wama tafarraqoo illa minbaAAdi ma jaahumu alAAilmu baghyan baynahum walawlakalimatun sabaqat min rabbika ila ajalin musamman laqudiyabaynahum wa-inna allatheena oorithoo alkitaba minbaAAdihim lafee shakkin minhu mureebin | وما تفرقوا إلا من بعد ما جاءهم العلم بغيا بينهم ولولا كلمة سبقت من ربك إلى أجل مسمى لقضي بينهم وإن الذين أورثوا الكتاب من بعدهم لفي شك منه مريب وَمَا تَفَرَّقُوا إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى لَّقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُورِثُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| تفرقوا - they became divided| إلا - until| من - after| بعد - after| ما - [what]| جاءهم - came to them| العلم - the knowledge| بغيا - (out of) rivalry,| بينهم - among them.| ولولا - And if not| كلمة - (for) a word| سبقت - (that) preceded| من - from| ربك - your Lord| إلى - for| أجل - a term| مسمى - specified,| لقضي - surely, it (would have) been settled| بينهم - between them.| وإن - And indeed,| الذين - those who| أورثوا - were made to inherit| الكتاب - the Book| من - after them| بعدهم - after them| لفي - (are) surely in| شك - doubt| منه - concerning it -| مريب - disquieting.| | ||||||
| 16 [42:21] | Am lahum shurakao sharaAAoo lahummina alddeeni ma lam ya/than bihi Allahuwalawla kalimatu alfasli laqudiya baynahumwa-inna alththalimeena lahum AAathabunaleemun | أم لهم شركاء شرعوا لهم من الدين ما لم يأذن به الله ولولا كلمة الفصل لقضي بينهم وإن الظالمين لهم عذاب أليم أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَاءُ شَرَعُوا لَهُم مِّنَ الدِّينِ مَا لَمْ يَأْذَن بِهِ اللَّهُ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةُ الْفَصْلِ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |أم - Or| لهم - for them| شركاء - (are) partners| شرعوا - who have ordained| لهم - for them| من - of| الدين - the religion| ما - what| لم - not| يأذن - Allah has given permission of it| به - Allah has given permission of it| الله - Allah has given permission of it| ولولا - And if not| كلمة - (for) a word| الفصل - decisive,| لقضي - surely, it (would have) been judged| بينهم - between them.| وإن - And indeed,| الظالمين - the wrongdoers,| لهم - for them| عذاب - (is a) punishment| أليم - painful.| | ||||||
| 17 [43:28] | WajaAAalaha kalimatan baqiyatanfee AAaqibihi laAAallahum yarjiAAoona | وجعلها كلمة باقية في عقبه لعلهم يرجعون وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةً بَاقِيَةً فِي عَقِبِهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وجعلها - And he made it| كلمة - a word| باقية - lasting| في - among| عقبه - his descendents,| لعلهم - so that they may| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
| 18 [48:26] | Ith jaAAala allatheena kafaroofee quloobihimu alhamiyyata hamiyyata aljahiliyyatifaanzala Allahu sakeenatahu AAala rasoolihi waAAalaalmu/mineena waalzamahum kalimata alttaqwa wakanooahaqqa biha waahlaha wakana Allahubikulli shay-in AAaleeman | إذ جعل الذين كفروا في قلوبهم الحمية حمية الجاهلية فأنزل الله سكينته على رسوله وعلى المؤمنين وألزمهم كلمة التقوى وكانوا أحق بها وأهلها وكان الله بكل شيء عليما إِذْ جَعَلَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْحَمِيَّةَ حَمِيَّةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَأَنزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ وَعَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَلْزَمَهُمْ كَلِمَةَ التَّقْوَى وَكَانُوا أَحَقَّ بِهَا وَأَهْلَهَا وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا | |||||
