| 1 [4:72] | Wa-inna minkum laman layubatti-annafa-in asabatkum museebatun qala qad anAAamaAllahu AAalayya ith lam akun maAAahum shaheedan |  وإن منكم لمن ليبطئن فإن أصابتكم مصيبة قال قد أنعم الله علي إذ لم أكن معهم شهيداوَإِنَّ مِنكُمْ لَمَن لَّيُبَطِّئَنَّ فَإِنْ أَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالَ قَدْ أَنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلَيَّ إِذْ لَمْ أَكُن مَّعَهُمْ شَهِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And indeed,| منكم - among you| لمن - (is he) who| ليبطئن - lags behind| فإن - then if| أصابتكم - befalls you| مصيبة - a disaster| قال - he said,| قد - "Verily| أنعم - (has) favored| الله - Allah| علي - [on] me| إذ - [when]| لم - (that) not| أكن - I was| معهم - with them,| شهيدا - present."| | ||||||
| 2 [15:41] | Qala hatha siratunAAalayya mustaqeemun | قال هذا صراط علي مستقيم قَالَ هَذَا صِرَاطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسْتَقِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| هذا - "This| صراط - (is) the way| علي - to Me| مستقيم - straight.| | ||||||
| 3 [17:62] | Qala araaytaka hatha allatheekarramta AAalayya la-in akhkhartani ila yawmi alqiyamatilaahtanikanna thurriyyatahu illa qaleelan | قال أرأيتك هذا الذي كرمت علي لئن أخرتن إلى يوم القيامة لأحتنكن ذريته إلا قليلا قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَكَ هَـذَا الَّذِي كَرَّمْتَ عَلَيَّ لَئِنْ أَخَّرْتَنِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ ذُرِّيَّتَهُ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| أرأيتك - "Do You see| هذا - this| الذي - whom| كرمت - You have honored,| علي - above me?| لئن - If| أخرتن - You give me respite| إلى - till| يوم - (the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection,| لأحتنكن - I will surely destroy| ذريته - his offspring| إلا - except| قليلا - a few."| | ||||||
| 4 [19:9] | Qala kathalika qalarabbuka huwa AAalayya hayyinun waqad khalaqtuka min qablu walamtaku shay-an | قال كذلك قال ربك هو علي هين وقد خلقتك من قبل ولم تك شيئا قَالَ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْئًا | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| كذلك - "Thus,| قال - said| ربك - your Lord,| هو - 'It| علي - (is) easy for Me| هين - (is) easy for Me| وقد - and certainly| خلقتك - I (have) created you| من - before,| قبل - before,| ولم - while not| تك - you were| شيئا - anything.'"| | ||||||
| 5 [19:21] | Qala kathaliki qalarabbuki huwa AAalayya hayyinun walinajAAalahu ayatan lilnnasiwarahmatan minna wakana amran maqdiyyan | قال كذلك قال ربك هو علي هين ولنجعله آية للناس ورحمة منا وكان أمرا مقضيا قَالَ كَذَلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُ آيَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَكَانَ أَمْرًا مَّقْضِيًّا | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| كذلك - "Thus;| قال - said| ربك - your Lord,| هو - 'It| علي - (is) for Me| هين - easy,| ولنجعله - and so that We will make him| آية - a sign| للناس - for the mankind| ورحمة - and a Mercy| منا - from Us.| وكان - And (it) is| أمرا - a matter| مقضيا - decreed.'"| | ||||||
| 6 [19:33] | Waalssalamu AAalayya yawmawulidtu wayawma amootu wayawma obAAathu hayyan | والسلام علي يوم ولدت ويوم أموت ويوم أبعث حيا وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا | |||||
| Words | |والسلام - And peace (be)| علي - on me| يوم - (the) day| ولدت - I was born| ويوم - and (the) day| أموت - I will die| ويوم - and (the) Day| أبعث - I will be raised| حيا - alive."| | ||||||
| 7 [26:14] | Walahum AAalayya thanbun faakhafuan yaqtulooni | ولهم علي ذنب فأخاف أن يقتلون وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ | |||||
| Words | |ولهم - And they have| علي - against me| ذنب - a crime,| فأخاف - so I fear| أن - that| يقتلون - they will kill me."| | ||||||
| 8 [26:22] | Watilka niAAmatun tamunnuha AAalayyaan AAabbadta banee isra-eela | وتلك نعمة تمنها علي أن عبدت بني إسرائيل وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَيَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ | |||||
| Words | |وتلك - And this| نعمة - (is the) favor| تمنها - with which you reproach| علي - [on] me,| أن - that| عبدت - you have enslaved| بني - (the) Children of Israel."| إسرائيل - (the) Children of Israel."| | ||||||
| 9 [27:19] | Fatabassama dahikan min qawlihawaqala rabbi awziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allateeanAAamta AAalayya waAAala walidayya waan aAAmala salihantardahu waadkhilnee birahmatika fee AAibadikaalssaliheena | فتبسم ضاحكا من قولها وقال رب أوزعني أن أشكر نعمتك التي أنعمت علي وعلى والدي وأن أعمل صالحا ترضاه وأدخلني برحمتك في عبادك الصالحين فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًا مِّن قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فتبسم - So he smiled -| ضاحكا - laughing| من - at| قولها - her speech| وقال - and said,| رب - "My Lord!| أوزعني - Grant me (the) power| أن - that| أشكر - I may thank You| نعمتك - (for) Your Favor| التي - which| أنعمت - You have bestowed| علي - on me| وعلى - and on| والدي - my parents| وأن - and that| أعمل - I may do| صالحا - righteous (deeds),| ترضاه - that will please You.| وأدخلني - And admit me| برحمتك - by Your Mercy| في - among| عبادك - Your slaves| الصالحين - righteous."| | ||||||
| 10 [27:31] | Alla taAAloo AAalayya wa/tooneemuslimeena | ألا تعلوا علي وأتوني مسلمين أَلَّا تَعْلُوا عَلَيَّ وَأْتُونِي مُسْلِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ألا - That not| تعلوا - exalt yourselves| علي - against me,| وأتوني - but come to me| مسلمين - (in) submission."| | ||||||
| 11 [28:17] | Qala rabbi bima anAAamtaAAalayya falan akoona thaheeran lilmujrimeena | قال رب بما أنعمت علي فلن أكون ظهيرا للمجرمين قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ فَلَنْ أَكُونَ ظَهِيرًا لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord!| بما - Because| أنعمت - You have favored| علي - [on] me,| فلن - so not| أكون - I will be| ظهيرا - a supporter| للمجرمين - (of) the criminals."| | ||||||
| 12 [28:28] | Qala thalika baynee wabaynakaayyama al-ajalayni qadaytu fala AAudwanaAAalayya waAllahu AAala ma naqooluwakeelun | قال ذلك بيني وبينك أيما الأجلين قضيت فلا عدوان علي والله على ما نقول وكيل قَالَ ذَلِكَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ أَيَّمَا الْأَجَلَيْنِ قَضَيْتُ فَلَا عُدْوَانَ عَلَيَّ وَاللَّهُ عَلَى مَا نَقُولُ وَكِيلٌ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| ذلك - "That| بيني - (is) between me| وبينك - and between you.| أيما - Whichever| الأجلين - (of) the two terms| قضيت - I complete| فلا - then no| عدوان - injustice| علي - to me,| والله - and Allah,| على - over| ما - what| نقول - we say| وكيل - (is) a Witness."| | ||||||
| 13 [38:33] | Ruddooha AAalayya fatafiqa mashanbialssooqi waal-aAAnaqi | ردوها علي فطفق مسحا بالسوق والأعناق رُدُّوهَا عَلَيَّ فَطَفِقَ مَسْحًا بِالسُّوقِ وَالْأَعْنَاقِ | |||||
| Words | |ردوها - "Return them| علي - to me."| فطفق - Then he began| مسحا - (to) pass (his hand)| بالسوق - over the legs| والأعناق - and the necks.| | ||||||
| 14 [42:51] | Wama kana libasharin anyukallimahu Allahu illa wahyan aw min wara-ihijabin aw yursila rasoolan fayoohiya bi-ithnihima yashao innahu AAaliyyun hakeemun | وما كان لبشر أن يكلمه الله إلا وحيا أو من وراء حجاب أو يرسل رسولا فيوحي بإذنه ما يشاء إنه علي حكيم وَمَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُكَلِّمَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا وَحْيًا أَوْ مِن وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ رَسُولًا فَيُوحِيَ بِإِذْنِهِ مَا يَشَاءُ إِنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| كان - is| لبشر - for any human| أن - that| يكلمه - Allah should speak to him| الله - Allah should speak to him| إلا - except| وحيا - (by) revelation| أو - or| من - from| وراء - behind| حجاب - a veil| أو - or| يرسل - (by) sending| رسولا - a messenger| فيوحي - then he reveals| بإذنه - by His permission| ما - what| يشاء - He wills.| إنه - Indeed, He| علي - (is) Most High,| حكيم - Most Wise.| | ||||||
| 15 [46:15] | Wawassayna al-insanabiwalidayhi ihsanan hamalat-hu ommuhukurhan wawadaAAat-hu kurhan wahamluhu wafisaluhuthalathoona shahran hatta ithabalagha ashuddahu wabalagha arbaAAeena sanatan qala rabbiawziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allatee anAAamta AAalayya waAAalawalidayya waan aAAmala salihan tardahuwaaslih lee fee thurriyyatee innee tubtuilayka wa-innee mina almuslimeena | ووصينا الإنسان بوالديه إحسانا حملته أمه كرها ووضعته كرها وحمله وفصاله ثلاثون شهرا حتى إذا بلغ أشده وبلغ أربعين سنة قال رب أوزعني أن أشكر نعمتك التي أنعمت علي وعلى والدي وأن أعمل صالحا ترضاه وأصلح لي في ذريتي إني تبت إليك وإني من المسلمين وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ إِحْسَانًا حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ كُرْهًا وَوَضَعَتْهُ كُرْهًا وَحَمْلُهُ وَفِصَالُهُ ثَلَاثُونَ شَهْرًا حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَبَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي إِنِّي تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ووصينا - And We have enjoined| الإنسان - (on) man| بوالديه - to his parents| إحسانا - kindness.| حملته - Carried him| أمه - his mother| كرها - (with) hardship| ووضعته - and gave birth to him| كرها - (with) hardship.| وحمله - And (the) bearing of him| وفصاله - and (the) weaning of him| ثلاثون - (is) thirty| شهرا - month(s)| حتى - until,| إذا - when| بلغ - he reaches| أشده - his maturity| وبلغ - and reaches| أربعين - forty| سنة - year(s),| قال - he says,| رب - "My Lord,| أوزعني - grant me (the) power| أن - that| أشكر - I may be grateful| نعمتك - (for) Your favor| التي - which| أنعمت - You have bestowed| علي - upon me| وعلى - and upon| والدي - my parents| وأن - and that| أعمل - I do| صالحا - righteous (deeds)| ترضاه - which please You,| وأصلح - and make righteous| لي - for me| في - among| ذريتي - my offspring,| إني - indeed,| تبت - I turn| إليك - to You| وإني - and indeed, I am| من - of| المسلمين - those who submit."| | ||||||
| 16 [49:17] | Yamunnoona AAalayka an aslamoo qul latamunnoo AAalayya islamakum bali Allahu yamunnuAAalaykum an hadakum lil-eemani in kuntum sadiqeena | يمنون عليك أن أسلموا قل لا تمنوا علي إسلامكم بل الله يمن عليكم أن هداكم للإيمان إن كنتم صادقين يَمُنُّونَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ أَسْلَمُوا قُل لَّا تَمُنُّوا عَلَيَّ إِسْلَامَكُم بَلِ اللَّهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ هَدَاكُمْ لِلْإِيْمَانِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |يمنون - They consider (it) a favor| عليك - to you| أن - that| أسلموا - they have accepted Islam.| قل - Say,| لا - "(Do) not| تمنوا - consider a favor| علي - on me -| إسلامكم - your Islam.| بل - Nay,| الله - Allah| يمن - has conferred a favor| عليكم - upon you| أن - that| هداكم - He has guided you| للإيمان - to the faith,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful.| | ||||||
