| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[17:62] | Qala araaytaka hatha allatheekarramta AAalayya la-in akhkhartani ila yawmi alqiyamatilaahtanikanna thurriyyatahu illa qaleelan
|  قال أرأيتك هذا الذي كرمت علي لئن أخرتن إلى يوم القيامة لأحتنكن ذريته إلا قليلا
قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَكَ هَـذَا الَّذِي كَرَّمْتَ عَلَيَّ لَئِنْ أَخَّرْتَنِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ ذُرِّيَّتَهُ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً |
| Words | |قال - He said,| أرأيتك - "Do You see| هذا - this| الذي - whom| كرمت - You have honored,| علي - above me?| لئن - If| أخرتن - You give me respite| إلى - till| يوم - (the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection,| لأحتنكن - I will surely destroy| ذريته - his offspring| إلا - except| قليلا - a few."| |

| «ንገረኝ ይህ ያ በእኔ ላይ ያበለጥከው ነውን እስከ ትንሣኤ ቀን ድረስ ብታቆየኝ ዘሮቹን ጥቂቶች ሲቀሩ ወደ ስህተት በእርግጥ እስባቸዋለሁ» አለ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | ( قال أرأيتك ) أي أخبرني ( هذا الذي كرمت ) فضلت ( علي ) بالأمر بالسجود له "" وأنا خير منه خلقتني من نار "" ( لئن ) لام قسم ( أخرتن إلى يوم القيامة لأحتنكن ) لأستأصلن ( ذريته ) بالإغواء ( إلا قليلاً ) منهم ممن عصمته . |
| Inna: "Twalav wagi i Tâuzzev sennig iw, lemmer a yi Teooev, ar ass n tnekra, war ccekk, ad $wu$ tarwa s, siwa ixeîîayen". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | সে বললঃ দেখুন তো, এনা সে ব্যক্তি, যাকে আপনি আমার চাইতেও উচ্চ মার্যাদা দিয়ে দিয়েছেন। যদি আপনি আমাকে কেয়ামত দিবস পর্যন্ত সময় দেন, তবে আমি সামান্য সংখ্যক ছাড়া তার বংশধরদেরকে সমূলে নষ্ট করে দেব। |
| Literal | He said: "Did I show You, that which you honoured on me, If (E), You delayed me, to the Resurrection Day, I will possess/take over (all) their descendants except little/few." |
| Yusuf Ali | He said: "Seest Thou? this is the one whom Thou hast honoured above me! If Thou wilt but respite me to the Day of Judgment, I will surely bring his descendants under my sway - all but a few!" |
