| 1 [2:228] | Waalmutallaqatuyatarabbasna bi-anfusihinna thalathata quroo-in walayahillu lahunna an yaktumna ma khalaqa Allahufee arhamihinna in kunna yu/minna biAllahiwaalyawmi al-akhiri wabuAAoolatuhunna ahaqqubiraddihinna fee thalika in aradoo islahanwalahunna mithlu allathee AAalayhinna bialmaAAroofiwalilrrijali AAalayhinna darajatun waAllahuAAazeezun hakeemun |  والمطلقات يتربصن بأنفسهن ثلاثة قروء ولا يحل لهن أن يكتمن ما خلق الله في أرحامهن إن كن يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر وبعولتهن أحق بردهن في ذلك إن أرادوا إصلاحا ولهن مثل الذي عليهن بالمعروف وللرجال عليهن درجة والله عزيز حكيموَالْمُطَلَّقَاتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ ثَلاَثَةَ قُرُوءٍ وَلاَ يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَن يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللّهُ فِي أَرْحَامِهِنَّ إِن كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ أَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ إِنْ أَرَادُواْ إِصْلاَحًا وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ وَاللّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكُيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |والمطلقات - And the women who are divorced| يتربصن - shall wait| بأنفسهن - concerning themselves| ثلاثة - (for) three| قروء - monthly periods.| ولا - And (it is) not| يحل - lawful| لهن - for them| أن - that| يكتمن - they conceal| ما - what| خلق - (has been) created| الله - (by) Allah| في - in| أرحامهن - their wombs,| إن - if| كن - they| يؤمن - believe| بالله - in Allah| واليوم - and the Day| الآخر - [the] Last.| وبعولتهن - And their husbands| أحق - (have) better right| بردهن - to take them back| في - in| ذلك - that (period)| إن - if| أرادوا - they wish| إصلاحا - (for) reconciliation.| ولهن - And for them| مثل - (is the) like| الذي - (of) that which| عليهن - (is) on them| بالمعروف - in a reasonable manner,| وللرجال - and for the men| عليهن - over them| درجة - (is) a degree.| والله - And Allah| عزيز - (is) All-Mighty,| حكيم - All-Wise.| | ||||||
| 2 [4:15] | Waallatee ya/teena alfahishatamin nisa-ikum faistashhidoo AAalayhinna arbaAAatanminkum fa-in shahidoo faamsikoohunna fee albuyooti hattayatawaffahunna almawtu aw yajAAala Allahu lahunnasabeelan | واللاتي يأتين الفاحشة من نسائكم فاستشهدوا عليهن أربعة منكم فإن شهدوا فأمسكوهن في البيوت حتى يتوفاهن الموت أو يجعل الله لهن سبيلا وَاللاَّتِي يَأْتِينَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مِن نِّسَآئِكُمْ فَاسْتَشْهِدُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّ أَرْبَعةً مِّنكُمْ فَإِن شَهِدُواْ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ فِي الْبُيُوتِ حَتَّى يَتَوَفَّاهُنَّ الْمَوْتُ أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اللّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |واللاتي - And those who| يأتين - commit| الفاحشة - [the] immorality| من - from| نسائكم - your women| فاستشهدوا - then call to witness| عليهن - against them| أربعة - four| منكم - among you.| فإن - And if| شهدوا - they testify| فأمسكوهن - then confine them| في - in| البيوت - their houses| حتى - until| يتوفاهن - comes to them| الموت - [the] death| أو - or| يجعل - makes| الله - Allah| لهن - for them| سبيلا - a way.| | ||||||
| 3 [4:34] | Alrrijalu qawwamoonaAAala alnnisa-i bima faddalaAllahu baAAdahum AAala baAAdin wabimaanfaqoo min amwalihim faalssalihatu qanitatunhafithatun lilghaybi bima hafithaAllahu waallatee takhafoonanushoozahunna faAAithoohunna waohjuroohunnafee almadajiAAi waidriboohunna fa-in ataAAnakumfala tabghoo AAalayhinna sabeelan inna Allaha kanaAAaliyyan kabeeran | الرجال قوامون على النساء بما فضل الله بعضهم على بعض وبما أنفقوا من أموالهم فالصالحات قانتات حافظات للغيب بما حفظ الله واللاتي تخافون نشوزهن فعظوهن واهجروهن في المضاجع واضربوهن فإن أطعنكم فلا تبغوا عليهن سبيلا إن الله كان عليا كبيرا الرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُونَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ بِمَا فَضَّلَ اللّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ وَبِمَا أَنفَقُواْ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ فَالصَّالِحَاتُ قَانِتَاتٌ حَافِظَاتٌ لِّلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اللّهُ وَاللاَّتِي تَخَافُونَ نُشُوزَهُنَّ فَعِظُوهُنَّ وَاهْجُرُوهُنَّ فِي الْمَضَاجِعِ وَاضْرِبُوهُنَّ فَإِنْ أَطَعْنَكُمْ فَلاَ تَبْغُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّ سَبِيلاً إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلِيًّا كَبِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |الرجال - [The] men| قوامون - (are) protectors| على - of| النساء - the women| بما - because| فضل - (has) bestowed| الله - Allah| بعضهم - some of them| على - over| بعض - others| وبما - and because| أنفقوا - they spend| من - from| أموالهم - their wealth.| فالصالحات - So the righteous women| قانتات - (are) obedient,| حافظات - guarding| للغيب - in the unseen| بما - that which| حفظ - (orders) them to guard| الله - (by) Allah.| واللاتي - And those (from) whom| تخافون - you fear| نشوزهن - their ill-conduct| فعظوهن - then advise them,| واهجروهن - and forsake them| في - in| المضاجع - the bed| واضربوهن - and [finally] strike them.| فإن - Then if| أطعنكم - they obey you| فلا - then (do) not| تبغوا - seek| عليهن - against them| سبيلا - a way.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| كان - is| عليا - Most High,| كبيرا - Most Great.| | ||||||
| 4 [12:31] | Falamma samiAAat bimakrihinna arsalatilayhinna waaAAtadat lahunna muttakaan waatat kulla wahidatinminhunna sikkeenan waqalati okhruj AAalayhinna falammaraaynahu akbarnahu waqattaAAna aydiyahunna waqulna hashalillahi ma hatha basharan in hathailla malakun kareemun | فلما سمعت بمكرهن أرسلت إليهن وأعتدت لهن متكأ وآتت كل واحدة منهن سكينا وقالت اخرج عليهن فلما رأينه أكبرنه وقطعن أيديهن وقلن حاش لله ما هذا بشرا إن هذا إلا ملك كريم فَلَمَّا سَمِعَتْ بِمَكْرِهِنَّ أَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَعْتَدَتْ لَهُنَّ مُتَّكَأً وَآتَتْ كُلَّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِّنْهُنَّ سِكِّينًا وَقَالَتِ اخْرُجْ عَلَيْهِنَّ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْنَهُ أَكْبَرْنَهُ وَقَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ وَقُلْنَ حَاشَ لِلّهِ مَا هَـذَا بَشَرًا إِنْ هَـذَا إِلاَّ مَلَكٌ كَرِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - So when| سمعت - she heard| بمكرهن - of their scheming,| أرسلت - she sent| إليهن - for them| وأعتدت - and she prepared| لهن - for them| متكأ - a banquet| وآتت - and she gave| كل - each| واحدة - one| منهن - of them| سكينا - a knife| وقالت - and she said,| اخرج - "Come out| عليهن - before them."| فلما - Then when| رأينه - they saw him| أكبرنه - they greatly admired him,| وقطعن - and cut| أيديهن - their hands,| وقلن - they said,| حاش - "Forbid| لله - Allah,| ما - not| هذا - (is) this| بشرا - a man| إن - not| هذا - (is) this| إلا - but| ملك - an angel| كريم - noble."| | ||||||
| 5 [24:60] | WaalqawaAAidu mina alnnisa-iallatee la yarjoona nikahan falaysaAAalayhinna junahun an yadaAAna thiyabahunnaghayra mutabarrijatin bizeenatin waan yastaAAfifna khayrunlahunna waAllahu sameeAAun AAaleemun | والقواعد من النساء اللاتي لا يرجون نكاحا فليس عليهن جناح أن يضعن ثيابهن غير متبرجات بزينة وأن يستعففن خير لهن والله سميع عليم وَالْقَوَاعِدُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ اللَّاتِي لَا يَرْجُونَ نِكَاحًا فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِنَّ جُنَاحٌ أَن يَضَعْنَ ثِيَابَهُنَّ غَيْرَ مُتَبَرِّجَاتٍ بِزِينَةٍ وَأَن يَسْتَعْفِفْنَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُنَّ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |والقواعد - And postmenopausal| من - among| النساء - the women| اللاتي - who| لا - (do) not| يرجون - have desire| نكاحا - (for) marriage,| فليس - then not is| عليهن - on them| جناح - any blame| أن - that| يضعن - they put aside| ثيابهن - their (outer) garments,| غير - not| متبرجات - displaying| بزينة - their adornment.| وأن - And that| يستعففن - they modestly refrain| خير - (is) better| لهن - for them.| والله - And Allah| سميع - (is) All-Hearer,| عليم - All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 6 [33:49] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha nakahtumu almu/minati thumma tallaqtumoohunnamin qabli an tamassoohunna fama lakum AAalayhinna minAAiddatin taAAtaddoonaha famattiAAoohunna wasarrihoohunnasarahan jameelan | يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا نكحتم المؤمنات ثم طلقتموهن من قبل أن تمسوهن فما لكم عليهن من عدة تعتدونها فمتعوهن وسرحوهن سراحا جميلا يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نَكَحْتُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَمَسُّوهُنَّ فَمَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ عِدَّةٍ تَعْتَدُّونَهَا فَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ وَسَرِّحُوهُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِيلًا | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you who believe!| الذين - O you who believe!| آمنوا - O you who believe!| إذا - When| نكحتم - you marry| المؤمنات - believing women| ثم - and then,| طلقتموهن - divorce them| من - before| قبل - before| أن - [that]| تمسوهن - you have touched them,| فما - then not| لكم - for you| عليهن - on them| من - any| عدة - waiting period| تعتدونها - (to) count concerning them.| فمتعوهن - So provide for them| وسرحوهن - and release them| سراحا - (with) a release| جميلا - good.| | ||||||
| 7 [33:55] | La junaha AAalayhinna fee aba-ihinnawala abna-ihinna wala ikhwanihinnawala abna-i ikhwanihinna wala abna-iakhawatihinna wala nisa-ihinna wala mamalakat aymanuhunna waittaqeena Allaha innaAllaha kana AAala kulli shay-in shaheedan | لا جناح عليهن في آبائهن ولا أبنائهن ولا إخوانهن ولا أبناء إخوانهن ولا أبناء أخواتهن ولا نسائهن ولا ما ملكت أيمانهن واتقين الله إن الله كان على كل شيء شهيدا لَّا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِنَّ فِي آبَائِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَائِهِنَّ وَلَا إِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَاءِ إِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَاءِ أَخَوَاتِهِنَّ وَلَا نِسَائِهِنَّ وَلَا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُنَّ وَاتَّقِينَ اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |لا - (There is) no| جناح - blame| عليهن - upon them| في - concerning| آبائهن - their fathers| ولا - and not| أبنائهن - their sons| ولا - and not| إخوانهن - their brothers| ولا - and not| أبناء - sons| إخوانهن - (of) their brothers| ولا - and not| أبناء - sons| أخواتهن - (of) their sisters| ولا - and not| نسائهن - their women| ولا - and not| ما - what| ملكت - they rightfully possess.| أيمانهن - they rightfully possess.| واتقين - And fear| الله - Allah.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| كان - is| على - over| كل - all| شيء - things| شهيدا - a Witness.| | ||||||
| 8 [33:59] | Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyuqul li-azwajika wabanatika wanisa-ialmu/mineena yudneena AAalayhinna min jalabeebihinna thalikaadna an yuAArafna fala yu/thayna wakanaAllahu ghafooran raheeman | يا أيها النبي قل لأزواجك وبناتك ونساء المؤمنين يدنين عليهن من جلابيبهن ذلك أدنى أن يعرفن فلا يؤذين وكان الله غفورا رحيما يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُل لِّأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَن يُعْرَفْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O Prophet!| النبي - O Prophet!| قل - Say| لأزواجك - to your wives| وبناتك - and your daughters| ونساء - and (the) women| المؤمنين - (of) the believers| يدنين - to draw| عليهن - over themselves| من - [of]| جلابيبهن - their outer garments.| ذلك - That| أدنى - (is) more suitable| أن - that| يعرفن - they should be known| فلا - and not| يؤذين - harmed.| وكان - And is| الله - Allah| غفورا - Oft-Forgiving,| رحيما - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 9 [65:6] | Askinoohunna min haythu sakantum minwujdikum wala tudarroohunna litudayyiqooAAalayhinna wa-in kunna olati hamlin faanfiqooAAalayhinna hatta yadaAAna hamlahunnafa-in ardaAAna lakum faatoohunna ojoorahunnawa/tamiroo baynakum bimaAAroofin wa-in taAAasartum fasaturdiAAulahu okhra | أسكنوهن من حيث سكنتم من وجدكم ولا تضاروهن لتضيقوا عليهن وإن كن أولات حمل فأنفقوا عليهن حتى يضعن حملهن فإن أرضعن لكم فآتوهن أجورهن وأتمروا بينكم بمعروف وإن تعاسرتم فسترضع له أخرى أَسْكِنُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ سَكَنتُم مِّن وُجْدِكُمْ وَلَا تُضَارُّوهُنَّ لِتُضَيِّقُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ وَإِن كُنَّ أُولَاتِ حَمْلٍ فَأَنفِقُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ حَتَّى يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ فَإِنْ أَرْضَعْنَ لَكُمْ فَآتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَأْتَمِرُوا بَيْنَكُم بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَإِن تَعَاسَرْتُمْ فَسَتُرْضِعُ لَهُ أُخْرَى | |||||
| Words | |أسكنوهن - Lodge them| من - from| حيث - where| سكنتم - you dwell,| من - (out) of| وجدكم - your means| ولا - and (do) not| تضاروهن - harm them| لتضيقوا - to distress| عليهن - [on] them.| وإن - And if| كن - they are| أولات - those (who are)| حمل - pregnant,| فأنفقوا - then spend| عليهن - on them| حتى - until| يضعن - they deliver| حملهن - their burden.| فإن - Then if| أرضعن - they suckle| لكم - for you,| فآتوهن - then give them| أجورهن - their payment,| وأتمروا - and consult| بينكم - among yourselves| بمعروف - with kindness,| وإن - but if| تعاسرتم - you disagree,| فسترضع - then may suckle| له - for him| أخرى - another (women).| | ||||||
