[4:34] | Alrrijalu qawwamoonaAAala alnnisa-i bima faddalaAllahu baAAdahum AAala baAAdin wabimaanfaqoo min amwalihim faalssalihatu qanitatunhafithatun lilghaybi bima hafithaAllahu waallatee takhafoonanushoozahunna faAAithoohunna waohjuroohunnafee almadajiAAi waidriboohunna fa-in ataAAnakumfala tabghoo AAalayhinna sabeelan inna Allaha kanaAAaliyyan kabeeran
|  الرجال قوامون على النساء بما فضل الله بعضهم على بعض وبما أنفقوا من أموالهم فالصالحات قانتات حافظات للغيب بما حفظ الله واللاتي تخافون نشوزهن فعظوهن واهجروهن في المضاجع واضربوهن فإن أطعنكم فلا تبغوا عليهن سبيلا إن الله كان عليا كبيرا
الرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُونَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ بِمَا فَضَّلَ اللّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ وَبِمَا أَنفَقُواْ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ فَالصَّالِحَاتُ قَانِتَاتٌ حَافِظَاتٌ لِّلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اللّهُ وَاللاَّتِي تَخَافُونَ نُشُوزَهُنَّ فَعِظُوهُنَّ وَاهْجُرُوهُنَّ فِي الْمَضَاجِعِ وَاضْرِبُوهُنَّ فَإِنْ أَطَعْنَكُمْ فَلاَ تَبْغُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّ سَبِيلاً إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلِيًّا كَبِيرًا |
| Words | |الرجال - [The] men| قوامون - (are) protectors| على - of| النساء - the women| بما - because| فضل - (has) bestowed| الله - Allah| بعضهم - some of them| على - over| بعض - others| وبما - and because| أنفقوا - they spend| من - from| أموالهم - their wealth.| فالصالحات - So the righteous women| قانتات - (are) obedient,| حافظات - guarding| للغيب - in the unseen| بما - that which| حفظ - (orders) them to guard| الله - (by) Allah.| واللاتي - And those (from) whom| تخافون - you fear| نشوزهن - their ill-conduct| فعظوهن - then advise them,| واهجروهن - and forsake them| في - in| المضاجع - the bed| واضربوهن - and [finally] strike them.| فإن - Then if| أطعنكم - they obey you| فلا - then (do) not| تبغوا - seek| عليهن - against them| سبيلا - a way.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| كان - is| عليا - Most High,| كبيرا - Most Great.| |

| ወንዶች በሴቶች ላይ ቋሚዎች (አሳዳሪዎች) ናቸው፡፡ አላህ ከፊላቸውን በከፊሉ ላይ በማብለጡና (ወንዶች) ከገንዘቦቻቸው (ለሴቶች) በመስጠታቸው ነው፡፡ መልካሞቹም ሴቶች (ለባሎቻቸው) ታዛዦች አላህ ባስጠበቀው ነገር ሩቅን ጠባቂዎች ናቸው፡፡ እነዚያንም ማመጸቸውን የምትፈሩትን ገስጹዋቸው፡፡ በመኝታዎችም ተለዩዋቸው፡፡ (ሳካ ሳታደርሱ) ምቱዋቸውም፡፡ ቢታዘዟችሁም (ለመጨቆን) በእነርሱ ላይ መንገድን አትፈልጉ፤ አላህ የበላይ ታላቅ ነውና፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { الرِّجال قوَّامون } مسلطون { على النساء } يؤدبونهن ويأخذون على أيديهن { بما فضَّل الله بعضهم على بعض } أي بتفضيله لهم عليهن بالعلم والعقل والولاية وغير ذلك { وبما أنفقوا } عليهن { من أموالهم فالصالحات } منهن { قانتات } مطيعات لأزواجهن { حافظات للغيب } أي لفروجهن وغيرها في غيبة أزواجهن { بما حفظ } لهن { اللهُ } حيث أوصى عليهن الأزواج { والَّتي تخافون نشوزهن } عصيانهن لكم بأن ظهرت أمارته { فعظوهن } فخوِّفوهن الله { واهجروهن في المضاجع } اعتزلوا إلى فراش آخر إن أظهرن النشوز { واضربوهن } ضربا غير مبرح إن لم يرجعن بالهجران { فإن أطعنكم } فيما يراد منهن { فلا تبغوا } تطلبوا { عليهن سبيلا } طريقا إلى ضربهن ظلما { إن الله كان عليا كبيرا } فاحذروه أن يعاقبكم إن ظلمتموهن . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | পুরুষেরা নারীদের উপর কৃর্তত্বশীল এ জন্য যে, আল্লাহ একের উপর অন্যের বৈশিষ্ট্য দান করেছেন এবং এ জন্য যে, তারা তাদের অর্থ ব্যয় করে। সে মতে নেককার স্ত্রীলোকগণ হয় অনুগতা এবং আল্লাহ যা হেফাযতযোগ্য করে দিয়েছেন লোক চক্ষুর অন্তরালেও তার হেফাযত করে। আর যাদের মধ্যে অবাধ্যতার আশঙ্কা কর তাদের সদুপদেশ দাও, তাদের শয্যা ত্যাগ কর এবং প্রহার কর। যদি তাতে তারা বাধ্য হয়ে যায়, তবে আর তাদের জন্য অন্য কোন পথ অনুসন্ধান করো না। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সবার উপর শ্রেষ্ঠ। |
| Literal | The men (are) taking care of matters for livelihood on (for) the women with what God preferred/favoured some of them (men and women) on some, and with what they spent from their (M) properties/possession , so the correct/righteous females are obeying humbly , worshipping humbly, protecting/safekeeping to the invisible with what God protected ; and those whom (F) you fear their (F) quarrel (disobedience) , so advise/warn them (F) and desert/abandon them (F) in the place of lying down (beds), and ignore/disregard/push them (F) , so if they obeyed you, so do not oppress/transgress on them (F) a way/method, that God was/is high, mighty/great. |
| Yusuf Ali | Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all). |

So, righteous women are obedient to Allah's Ordinances and guard their moral values even in privacy, the Values that Allah Commands to be guarded. If you experience rebellion from women, and they stand up against you, apprise them of possible consequences. Next, leave them in their resting places apart from you. And keep admonishing them with examples that they stop rebelling. If they pay heed to you, seek not a way against them. Allah is Most High, Great. |
| Miehet olkoot naisten esimiehiä, koska Jumala on asettanut heidät näihin nähden korkeampaan asemaan, ja myöskin niiden suoritusten tähden, joita miesten on omaisuudestaan naisten hyväksi tehtävä. Hyveelliset naiset ovat alistuvaisia ja vaalivat huolellisesti, kätkössä, kaikkea sitä, minkä Jumala on kätköön tarkoittanut. | So manga mama i pakathatandingann ko manga babay, sabap ko kiyapakalbiya o Allah ko sabaad kiran ko sabaad, go sabap ko kiyanggastowa iran ko manga tamok iran. Na aya manga bilangataw a babay na so pphamangongonotan, a khisisiyapn iran sa masoln so piyakisiyap o Allah. Na so manga babay a ikhawan iyo so karikor iran na pangthomai niyo siran, go awai niyo siran ko manga igaan, go dan´ga niyo siran; na amay ka pangonotan kano iran, na di niyo siran pmbabanogi sa okit (a salakaw): Mataan! a so Allah na tatap a Maporo, a Lbi-a-mala. |
