[2:228] | Waalmutallaqatuyatarabbasna bi-anfusihinna thalathata quroo-in walayahillu lahunna an yaktumna ma khalaqa Allahufee arhamihinna in kunna yu/minna biAllahiwaalyawmi al-akhiri wabuAAoolatuhunna ahaqqubiraddihinna fee thalika in aradoo islahanwalahunna mithlu allathee AAalayhinna bialmaAAroofiwalilrrijali AAalayhinna darajatun waAllahuAAazeezun hakeemun
|  والمطلقات يتربصن بأنفسهن ثلاثة قروء ولا يحل لهن أن يكتمن ما خلق الله في أرحامهن إن كن يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر وبعولتهن أحق بردهن في ذلك إن أرادوا إصلاحا ولهن مثل الذي عليهن بالمعروف وللرجال عليهن درجة والله عزيز حكيم
وَالْمُطَلَّقَاتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ ثَلاَثَةَ قُرُوءٍ وَلاَ يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَن يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللّهُ فِي أَرْحَامِهِنَّ إِن كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ أَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ إِنْ أَرَادُواْ إِصْلاَحًا وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ وَاللّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكُيمٌ |
| Words | |والمطلقات - And the women who are divorced| يتربصن - shall wait| بأنفسهن - concerning themselves| ثلاثة - (for) three| قروء - monthly periods.| ولا - And (it is) not| يحل - lawful| لهن - for them| أن - that| يكتمن - they conceal| ما - what| خلق - (has been) created| الله - (by) Allah| في - in| أرحامهن - their wombs,| إن - if| كن - they| يؤمن - believe| بالله - in Allah| واليوم - and the Day| الآخر - [the] Last.| وبعولتهن - And their husbands| أحق - (have) better right| بردهن - to take them back| في - in| ذلك - that (period)| إن - if| أرادوا - they wish| إصلاحا - (for) reconciliation.| ولهن - And for them| مثل - (is the) like| الذي - (of) that which| عليهن - (is) on them| بالمعروف - in a reasonable manner,| وللرجال - and for the men| عليهن - over them| درجة - (is) a degree.| والله - And Allah| عزيز - (is) All-Mighty,| حكيم - All-Wise.| |

| የተፈቱ ሴቶችም ነፍሶቻቸውን (ከማግባት) ሦስትን ቁርእ ይጠብቁ፡፡ በአላህና በመጨረሻውም ቀን የሚያምኑ ቢኾኑ አላህ በማሕፀኖቻቸው ውስጥ የፈጠረውን ሊደብቁ ለነርሱ አይፈቀድላቸውም፡፡ ባሎቻቸውም በዚህ ውስጥ እርቅን ቢፈልጉ በመማለሳቸው ተገቢዎች ናቸው፡፡ ለእነርሱም (ለሴቶች) የዚያ በእነርሱ ላይ ያለባቸው (ግዳጅ) ብጤ በመልካም አኑዋኑዋር (በባሎቻቸው ላይ መብት) አላቸው፡፡ ለወንዶችም (ጣጣቸውን ስለሚሸከሙ) በእነሱ ላይ ብልጫ አላቸው፡፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { والمطلقات يتربصن } أي لينتظرن { بأنفسهن } عن النكاح { ثلاثة قروءٍ } تمضي من حين الطلاق، جمع قرء بفتح القاف وهو الطهر أو الحيض قولان وهذا في المدخول بهن أما غيرهن فلا عدة عليهن لقوله : { فما لكم عليهن من عدة } وفي غير الآيسة والصغيرة فعدتهن ثلاثة أشهر والحوامل فعدتهن أن يضعن حملهن كما في سورة الطلاق والإماء فعدتهن قَرءان بالسُّنة { ولا يحل لهن أن يكتمن ما خلق الله في أرحامهن } من الولد والحيض { إن كنّ يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر وبعولتهن } أزواجهن { أحق بردهن } بمراجعتهن ولو أبين { في ذلك } أي في زمن التربص { إن أرادوا إصلاحا } بينهما لإضرار المرأة وهو تحريض على قصده لا شرط لجواز الرجعة وهذا في الطلاق الرجعي وأحق لا تفضيل فيه إذ لا حق لغيرهم في نكاحهن في العدة { ولهن } على الأزواج { مثل الذي } لهم { عليهن } من الحقوق { بالمعروف } شرعا من حسن العشرة وترك الضرار ونحو ذلك { وللرجال عليهن درجة } فضيلة في الحق من وجوب طاعتهن لهم لما ساقوه من المهر والانفاق { والله عزيز } في ملكه { حكيم } فيما دبره لخلقه . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর তালাকপ্রাপ্তা নারী নিজেকে অপেক্ষায় রাখবে তিন হায়েয পর্যন্ত। আর যদি সে আল্লাহর প্রতি এবং আখেরাত দিবসের উপর ঈমানদার হয়ে থাকে, তাহলে আল্লাহ যা তার জরায়ুতে সৃষ্টি করেছেন তা লুকিয়ে রাখা জায়েজ নয়। আর যদি সদ্ভাব রেখে চলতে চায়, তাহলে তাদেরকে ফিরিয়ে নেবার অধিকার তাদের স্বামীরা সংরক্ষণ করে। আর পুরুষদের যেমন স্ত্রীদের উপর অধিকার রয়েছে, তেমনি ভাবে স্ত্রীদেরও অধিকার রয়েছে পুরুষদের উপর নিয়ম অনুযায়ী। আর নারীরদের ওপর পুরুষদের শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব রয়েছে। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছে পরাক্রমশালী, বিজ্ঞ। |
| Literal | And the divorced (F) wait with themselves (F) three menstrual cycles , and (it is) not permitted/allowed to them (F) that they (F) hide/conceal what God created in their (F) wombs/uteruses , if they (F) were believing with God, and the Day the Last/Resurrection Day, and their husbands/spouses (are) more worthy/deserving with returning them, in that if they wanted/intended a reconciliation . And for them (F) similar/equal what (is) on them (F) with the kindness/generosity , and to the men a step/stage/grade on them (F), and God (is) glorious/mighty , wise/judicious. |

| QXP Shabbir Ahemd** | After divorce, women shall wait three menstruations before remarriage. There is no waiting period for a woman who is divorced before intimate relations with her husband (33:49). And it is three months if they do not habitually menstruate (65:4). They shall not conceal pregnancy if they believe in Allah and in the Hereafter. In case of pregnancy, their waiting period shall be until delivery (65:4). And during this period their husbands would do better to take them back if both of them desire reconciliation. The husband and the wife have the right to reconcile during this waiting period of the wife. Women have rights similar to those of men in mutual kindness. Men, however, do not have a waiting period for remarriage for obvious physiological reasons. That is where men are on a platform different from them.
