| 1 [2:164] | Inna fee khalqi alssamawatiwaal-ardi waikhtilafi allayli waalnnahariwaalfulki allatee tajree fee albahri bimayanfaAAu alnnasa wama anzala Allahumina alssama-i min ma-in faahyabihi al-arda baAAda mawtiha wabaththa feehamin kulli dabbatin watasreefi alrriyahiwaalssahabi almusakhkhari bayna alssama-iwaal-ardi laayatin liqawminyaAAqiloona |  إن في خلق السماوات والأرض واختلاف الليل والنهار والفلك التي تجري في البحر بما ينفع الناس وما أنزل الله من السماء من ماء فأحيا به الأرض بعد موتها وبث فيها من كل دابة وتصريف الرياح والسحاب المسخر بين السماء والأرض لآيات لقوم يعقلونإِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَالْفُلْكِ الَّتِي تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنفَعُ النَّاسَ وَمَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِن مَّاءٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍ وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ وَالسَّحَابِ الْمُسَخِّرِ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| في - in| خلق - (the) creation| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth,| واختلاف - and alternation| الليل - of the night| والنهار - and the day,| والفلك - and the ships| التي - which| تجري - sail| في - in| البحر - the sea| بما - with what| ينفع - benefits| الناس - [the] people,| وما - and what| أنزل - (has) sent down| الله - Allah| من - from| السماء - the sky| من - [of]| ماء - water,| فأحيا - giving life| به - thereby| الأرض - (to) the earth| بعد - after| موتها - its death,| وبث - and dispersing| فيها - therein| من - [of]| كل - every| دابة - moving creature,| وتصريف - and directing| الرياح - (of) the winds| والسحاب - and the clouds| المسخر - [the] controlled| بين - between| السماء - the sky| والأرض - and the earth,| لآيات - surely (are) Signs| لقوم - for a people| يعقلون - who use their intellect.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:170] | Wa-itha qeela lahumu ittabiAAoo maanzala Allahu qaloo bal nattabiAAu ma alfaynaAAalayhi abaana awa law kana abaohumla yaAAqiloona shay-an wala yahtadoona | وإذا قيل لهم اتبعوا ما أنزل الله قالوا بل نتبع ما ألفينا عليه آباءنا أولو كان آباؤهم لا يعقلون شيئا ولا يهتدون وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ قَالُواْ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئاً وَلاَ يَهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| اتبعوا - "Follow| ما - what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah,"| قالوا - they said,| بل - "Nay| نتبع - we follow| ما - what| ألفينا - we found| عليه - [on it]| آباءنا - our forefathers (following)".| أولو - Even though| كان - [were]| آباؤهم - their forefathers| لا - (did) not| يعقلون - understand| شيئا - anything| ولا - and not| يهتدون - were they guided?| | ||||||
| 3 [2:171] | Wamathalu allatheena kafarookamathali allathee yanAAiqu bima la yasmaAAuilla duAAaan wanidaan summun bukmunAAumyun fahum la yaAAqiloona | ومثل الذين كفروا كمثل الذي ينعق بما لا يسمع إلا دعاء ونداء صم بكم عمي فهم لا يعقلون وَمَثَلُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يَنْعِقُ بِمَا لاَ يَسْمَعُ إِلاَّ دُعَاءً وَنِدَاءً صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ومثل - And (the) example| الذين - (of) those who| كفروا - disbelieve[d]| كمثل - (is) like (the) example| الذي - (of) the one who| ينعق - shouts| بما - at what| لا - not| يسمع - (does) hear| إلا - except| دعاء - calls| ونداء - and cries -| صم - deaf| بكم - dumb,| عمي - (and) blind,| فهم - [so] they| لا - (do) not| يعقلون - understand.| | ||||||
| 4 [5:58] | Wa-itha nadaytum ila alssalatiittakhathooha huzuwan walaAAiban thalikabi-annahum qawmun la yaAAqiloona | وإذا ناديتم إلى الصلاة اتخذوها هزوا ولعبا ذلك بأنهم قوم لا يعقلون وَإِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ اتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لاَّ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| ناديتم - you make a call| إلى - for| الصلاة - the prayer,| اتخذوها - they take it| هزوا - (in) ridicule| ولعبا - and fun.| ذلك - That| بأنهم - (is) because they| قوم - (are) a people| لا - (who do) not| يعقلون - understand.| | ||||||
| 5 [5:103] | Ma jaAAala Allahu min baheeratinwala sa-ibatin wala waseelatin walahamin walakinna allatheena kafarooyaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathibawaaktharuhum la yaAAqiloona | ما جعل الله من بحيرة ولا سائبة ولا وصيلة ولا حام ولكن الذين كفروا يفترون على الله الكذب وأكثرهم لا يعقلون مَا جَعَلَ اللّهُ مِن بَحِيرَةٍ وَلاَ سَآئِبَةٍ وَلاَ وَصِيلَةٍ وَلاَ حَامٍ وَلَـكِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ما - Not| جعل - has (been) made| الله - (by) Allah| من - of| بحيرة - a Bahirah| ولا - and not| سائبة - a Saibah| ولا - and not| وصيلة - a Wasilah| ولا - and not| حام - a Hami.| ولكن - [And] but| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| يفترون - they invent| على - against| الله - Allah| الكذب - the lie,| وأكثرهم - and most of them| لا - (do) not| يعقلون - use reason.| | ||||||
| 6 [8:22] | Inna sharra alddawabbi AAindaAllahi alssummu albukmu allatheena layaAAqiloona | إن شر الدواب عند الله الصم البكم الذين لا يعقلون إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابَّ عِندَ اللّهِ الصُّمُّ الْبُكْمُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| شر - worst| الدواب - (of) the living creatures| عند - near| الله - Allah| الصم - (are) the deaf,| البكم - the dumb -| الذين - those who| لا - (do) not| يعقلون - use (their) intellect.| | ||||||
| 7 [10:42] | Waminhum man yastamiAAoona ilayka afaantatusmiAAu alssumma walaw kanoo layaAAqiloona | ومنهم من يستمعون إليك أفأنت تسمع الصم ولو كانوا لا يعقلون وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُواْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ومنهم - And among them| من - (are some) who| يستمعون - listen| إليك - to you.| أفأنت - But (can) you| تسمع - cause the deaf to hear| الصم - cause the deaf to hear| ولو - even though| كانوا - they [were]| لا - (do) not| يعقلون - use reason?| | ||||||
| 8 [10:100] | Wama kana linafsin an tu/minailla bi-ithni Allahi wayajAAalu alrrijsaAAala allatheena la yaAAqiloona | وما كان لنفس أن تؤمن إلا بإذن الله ويجعل الرجس على الذين لا يعقلون وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَن تُؤْمِنَ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَيَجْعَلُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| كان - is| لنفس - for a soul| أن - to| تؤمن - believe| إلا - except| بإذن - by (the) permission| الله - (of) Allah.| ويجعل - And He will place| الرجس - the wrath| على - on| الذين - those who| لا - (do) not| يعقلون - use reason.| | ||||||
| 9 [13:4] | Wafee al-ardi qitaAAun mutajawiratunwajannatun min aAAnabin wazarAAun wanakheelun sinwanunwaghayru sinwanin yusqa bima-in wahidinwanufaddilu baAAdaha AAala baAAdinfee alokuli inna fee thalika laayatinliqawmin yaAAqiloona | وفي الأرض قطع متجاورات وجنات من أعناب وزرع ونخيل صنوان وغير صنوان يسقى بماء واحد ونفضل بعضها على بعض في الأكل إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يعقلون وَفِي الْأَرْضِ قِطَعٌ مُّتَجَاوِرَاتٌ وَجَنَّاتٌ مِّنْ أَعْنَابٍ وَزَرْعٌ وَنَخِيلٌ صِنْوَانٌ وَغَيْرُ صِنْوَانٍ يُسْقَى بِمَاءِ وَاحِدٍ وَنُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَهَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ فِي الْأُكُلِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وفي - And in| الأرض - the earth| قطع - are tracks| متجاورات - neighboring,| وجنات - and gardens| من - of| أعناب - grapevines| وزرع - and crops| ونخيل - and date-palms| صنوان - trees (growing) from a single root| وغير - and not| صنوان - trees (growing) from a single root.| يسقى - watered| بماء - with water,| واحد - one;| ونفضل - but We cause to exceed| بعضها - some of them| على - over| بعض - others| في - in| الأكل - the fruit.| إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآيات - surely (are) Signs| لقوم - for a people| يعقلون - who use reason.| | ||||||
| 10 [16:12] | Wasakhkhara lakumu allayla waalnnaharawaalshshamsa waalqamara waalnnujoomumusakhkharatun bi-amrihi inna fee thalika laayatinliqawmin yaAAqiloona | وسخر لكم الليل والنهار والشمس والقمر والنجوم مسخرات بأمره إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يعقلون وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالْنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالْنُّجُومُ مُسَخَّرَاتٌ بِأَمْرِهِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وسخر - And He has subjected| لكم - for you| الليل - the night| والنهار - and the day,| والشمس - and the sun| والقمر - and the moon,| والنجوم - and the stars| مسخرات - (are) subjected| بأمره - by His command.| إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآيات - surely (are) signs| لقوم - for a people| يعقلون - who use reason.| | ||||||
| 11 [16:67] | Wamin thamarati alnnakheeli waal-aAAnabitattakhithoona minhu sakaran warizqan hasanan innafee thalika laayatan liqawmin yaAAqiloona | ومن ثمرات النخيل والأعناب تتخذون منه سكرا ورزقا حسنا إن في ذلك لآية لقوم يعقلون وَمِن ثَمَرَاتِ النَّخِيلِ وَالْأَعْنَابِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِنْهُ سَكَرًا وَرِزْقًا حَسَنًا إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And from| ثمرات - fruits| النخيل - the date-palm,| والأعناب - and the grapes,| تتخذون - you take| منه - from it| سكرا - intoxicant| ورزقا - and a provision| حسنا - good.| إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآية - (is) surely a Sign| لقوم - for a people| يعقلون - who use reason.| | ||||||
| 12 [22:46] | Afalam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fatakoonalahum quloobun yaAAqiloona biha aw athanunyasmaAAoona biha fa-innaha la taAAmaal-absaru walakin taAAma alquloobu allateefee alssudoori | أفلم يسيروا في الأرض فتكون لهم قلوب يعقلون بها أو آذان يسمعون بها فإنها لا تعمى الأبصار ولكن تعمى القلوب التي في الصدور أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَا أَوْ آذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى الْأَبْصَارُ وَلَكِن تَعْمَى الْقُلُوبُ الَّتِي فِي الصُّدُورِ | |||||
| Words | |أفلم - So have not| يسيروا - they traveled| في - in| الأرض - the land| فتكون - and is| لهم - for them| قلوب - hearts| يعقلون - (to) reason| بها - with it| أو - or| آذان - ears| يسمعون - (to) hear| بها - with it?| فإنها - For indeed, [it]| لا - not| تعمى - (are) blinded| الأبصار - the eyes| ولكن - but| تعمى - (are) blinded| القلوب - the hearts| التي - which| في - (are) in| الصدور - the breasts.| | ||||||
| 13 [25:44] | Am tahsabu anna aktharahumyasmaAAoona aw yaAAqiloona in hum illa kaal-anAAamibal hum adallu sabeelan | أم تحسب أن أكثرهم يسمعون أو يعقلون إن هم إلا كالأنعام بل هم أضل سبيلا أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا | |||||
| Words | |أم - Or| تحسب - do you think| أن - that| أكثرهم - most of them| يسمعون - hear| أو - or| يعقلون - understand?| إن - Not| هم - they| إلا - (are) except| كالأنعام - like cattle.| بل - Nay,| هم - they| أضل - (are) more astray| سبيلا - (from the) way.| | ||||||
| 14 [29:35] | Walaqad tarakna minha ayatanbayyinatan liqawmin yaAAqiloona | ولقد تركنا منها آية بينة لقوم يعقلون وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَا مِنْهَا آيَةً بَيِّنَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| تركنا - We have left| منها - about it| آية - a sign,| بينة - (as) evidence| لقوم - for a people| يعقلون - who use reason.| | ||||||
| 15 [29:63] | Wala-in saaltahum man nazzala mina alssama-imaan faahya bihi al-arda min baAAdimawtiha layaqoolunna Allahu quli alhamdulillahi bal aktharuhum la yaAAqiloona | ولئن سألتهم من نزل من السماء ماء فأحيا به الأرض من بعد موتها ليقولن الله قل الحمد لله بل أكثرهم لا يعقلون وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّن نَّزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ مِن بَعْدِ مَوْتِهَا لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| سألتهم - you ask them,| من - "Who| نزل - sends down| من - from| السماء - the sky| ماء - water| فأحيا - and gives life| به - thereby| الأرض - (to) the earth| من - after| بعد - after| موتها - its death?"| ليقولن - Surely, they would say,| الله - "Allah."| قل - Say,| الحمد - "All Praises| لله - (are) for Allah."| بل - But| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعقلون - use reason.| | ||||||
| 16 [30:24] | Wamin ayatihi yureekumualbarqa khawfan watamaAAan wayunazzilu mina alssama-imaan fayuhyee bihi al-arda baAAda mawtihainna fee thalika laayatin liqawminyaAAqiloona | ومن آياته يريكم البرق خوفا وطمعا وينزل من السماء ماء فيحيي به الأرض بعد موتها إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يعقلون وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ يُرِيكُمُ الْبَرْقَ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَيُحْيِي بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And among| آياته - His Signs| يريكم - He shows you| البرق - the lightning| خوفا - (causing) fear| وطمعا - and hope,| وينزل - and He sends down| من - from| السماء - the sky| ماء - water| فيحيي - and gives life| به - therewith| الأرض - (to) the earth| بعد - after| موتها - its death.| إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآيات - surely (are) Signs| لقوم - for a people| يعقلون - who use intellect.| | ||||||
| 17 [30:28] | Daraba lakum mathalan min anfusikumhal lakum mimma malakat aymanukum min shurakaafee ma razaqnakum faantum feehi sawaon takhafoonahumkakheefatikum anfusakum kathalika nufassilu al-ayatiliqawmin yaAAqiloona | ضرب لكم مثلا من أنفسكم هل لكم من ما ملكت أيمانكم من شركاء في ما رزقناكم فأنتم فيه سواء تخافونهم كخيفتكم أنفسكم كذلك نفصل الآيات لقوم يعقلون ضَرَبَ لَكُم مَّثَلًا مِنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ هَل لَّكُم مِّن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُم مِّن شُرَكَاءَ فِي مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ فَأَنتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَاءٌ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ كَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ضرب - He sets forth| لكم - to you| مثلا - an example| من - from| أنفسكم - yourselves.| هل - Is| لكم - for you| من - among| ما - what| ملكت - possess| أيمانكم - your right hands| من - any| شركاء - partners| في - in| ما - what| رزقناكم - We have provided you| فأنتم - so you| فيه - in it| سواء - (are) equal,| تخافونهم - you fear them| كخيفتكم - as you fear| أنفسكم - yourselves?| كذلك - Thus| نفصل - We explain| الآيات - the Verses| لقوم - for a people| يعقلون - (who) use reason.| | ||||||
| 18 [36:68] | Waman nuAAammirhu nunakkis-hu fee alkhalqiafala yaAAqiloona | ومن نعمره ننكسه في الخلق أفلا يعقلون وَمَنْ نُّعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِي الْخَلْقِ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And (he) whom| نعمره - We grant him long life,| ننكسه - We reverse him| في - in| الخلق - the creation.| أفلا - Then will not| يعقلون - they use intellect?| | ||||||
| 19 [39:43] | Ami ittakhathoo min dooni AllahishufaAAaa qul awa law kanoo la yamlikoonashay-an wala yaAAqiloona | أم اتخذوا من دون الله شفعاء قل أولو كانوا لا يملكون شيئا ولا يعقلون أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ شُفَعَاءَ قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا لَا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
