| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[5:58] | Wa-itha nadaytum ila alssalatiittakhathooha huzuwan walaAAiban thalikabi-annahum qawmun la yaAAqiloona
|  وإذا ناديتم إلى الصلاة اتخذوها هزوا ولعبا ذلك بأنهم قوم لا يعقلون
وَإِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ اتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لاَّ يَعْقِلُونَ |
| Words | |وإذا - And when| ناديتم - you make a call| إلى - for| الصلاة - the prayer,| اتخذوها - they take it| هزوا - (in) ridicule| ولعبا - and fun.| ذلك - That| بأنهم - (is) because they| قوم - (are) a people| لا - (who do) not| يعقلون - understand.| |

| ወደ ሶላትም በጠራችሁ ጊዜ (ጥሪይቱን) መሳለቂያና መጫወቻ አድርገው ይይዟታል፡፡ ይህ እነርሱ የማያውቁ ሕዝቦች በመኾናቸው ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { و } الذين { إذا ناديتم } دعوتم { إلى الصلاة } بالأذان { اتخذوها } أي الصلاة { هزوا ولعبا } بأن يستهزئوا بها ويتضاحكوا { ذلك } الاتخاذ { بأنهم } أي بسبب أنهم { قوم لا يعقلون } . |
| Ma teddnem i téallit, fellas ad mmaâlken, ad uraren. Ayagi, acku nitni d agdud ur nefhim. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর যখন তোমরা নামাযের জন্যে আহবান কর, তখন তারা একে উপহাস ও খেলা বলে মনে করে। কারণ, তারা নিবোর্ধ। |
| Literal | And if you called to (for) the prayers, they took it mockingly and playing/amusement, that (is) with that they are a nation (that) do not reason/understand/comprehend. |
| Yusuf Ali | When ye proclaim your call to prayer they take it (but) as mockery and sport; that is because they are a people without understanding. |
