| 1 [2:101] | Walamma jaahum rasoolun minAAindi Allahi musaddiqun lima maAAahum nabathafareequn mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba kitabaAllahi waraa thuhoorihim kaannahum layaAAlamoona |  ولما جاءهم رسول من عند الله مصدق لما معهم نبذ فريق من الذين أوتوا الكتاب كتاب الله وراء ظهورهم كأنهم لا يعلمونوَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ كِتَابَ اللّهِ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولما - And when| جاءهم - came to them| رسول - a Messenger| من - (of)| عند - from| الله - Allah| مصدق - confirming| لما - what| معهم - (was) with them,| نبذ - threw away| فريق - a party| من - of| الذين - those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| كتاب - (the) Book| الله - (of) Allah| وراء - behind| ظهورهم - their backs| كأنهم - as if they| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:187] | Wa-ith akhatha Allahumeethaqa allatheena ootoo alkitabalatubayyinunnahu lilnnasi wala taktumoonahufanabathoohu waraa thuhoorihim waishtarawbihi thamanan qaleelan fabi/sa ma yashtaroona | وإذ أخذ الله ميثاق الذين أوتوا الكتاب لتبيننه للناس ولا تكتمونه فنبذوه وراء ظهورهم واشتروا به ثمنا قليلا فبئس ما يشترون وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللّهُ مِيثَاقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلاَ تَكْتُمُونَهُ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْاْ بِهِ ثَمَناً قَلِيلاً فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذ - took| الله - Allah| ميثاق - a Covenant| الذين - (from) those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book,| لتبيننه - "You certainly make it clear| للناس - to the mankind| ولا - and (do) not| تكتمونه - conceal it.| فنبذوه - Then they threw it| وراء - behind| ظهورهم - their backs| واشتروا - and they exchanged| به - [with] it| ثمنا - (for) a price| قليلا - little.| فبئس - And wretched| ما - (is) what| يشترون - they purchase.| | ||||||
| 3 [4:24] | Waalmuhsanatu mina alnnisa-iilla ma malakat aymanukum kitaba AllahiAAalaykum waohilla lakum ma waraa thalikuman tabtaghoo bi-amwalikum muhsineena ghayra musafiheenafama istamtaAAtum bihi minhunna faatoohunnaojoorahunna fareedatan wala junaha AAalaykumfeema taradaytum bihi min baAAdi alfareedatiinna Allaha kana AAaleeman hakeeman | والمحصنات من النساء إلا ما ملكت أيمانكم كتاب الله عليكم وأحل لكم ما وراء ذلكم أن تبتغوا بأموالكم محصنين غير مسافحين فما استمتعتم به منهن فآتوهن أجورهن فريضة ولا جناح عليكم فيما تراضيتم به من بعد الفريضة إن الله كان عليما حكيما وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ إِلاَّ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ كِتَابَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُم مَّا وَرَاءَ ذَلِكُمْ أَن تَبْتَغُواْ بِأَمْوَالِكُم مُّحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِينَ فَمَا اسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِهِ مِنْهُنَّ فَآتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً وَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا تَرَاضَيْتُم بِهِ مِن بَعْدِ الْفَرِيضَةِ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |والمحصنات - And (prohibited are) the ones who are married| من - of| النساء - the women| إلا - except| ما - whom| ملكت - you possess| أيمانكم - rightfully.| كتاب - Decree| الله - (of) Allah| عليكم - upon you.| وأحل - And are lawful| لكم - to you| ما - what| وراء - (is) beyond| ذلكم - that;| أن - that| تبتغوا - you seek| بأموالكم - with your wealth| محصنين - desiring to be chaste| غير - not| مسافحين - (to be) lustful.| فما - So what| استمتعتم - you benefit[ed]| به - of it| منهن - from them,| فآتوهن - so you give them| أجورهن - their bridal due| فريضة - (as) an obligation.| ولا - And (there is) no| جناح - sin| عليكم - on you| فيما - concerning what| تراضيتم - you mutually agree| به - of it| من - from| بعد - beyond| الفريضة - the obligation.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| كان - is| عليما - All-Knowing,| حكيما - All-Wise.| | ||||||
| 4 [6:94] | Walaqad ji/tumoona furadakama khalaqnakum awwala marratin wataraktum makhawwalnakum waraa thuhoorikum wamanara maAAakum shufaAAaakumu allatheenazaAAamtum annahum feekum shurakao laqad taqattaAAabaynakum wadalla AAankum ma kuntum tazAAumoona | ولقد جئتمونا فرادى كما خلقناكم أول مرة وتركتم ما خولناكم وراء ظهوركم وما نرى معكم شفعاءكم الذين زعمتم أنهم فيكم شركاء لقد تقطع بينكم وضل عنكم ما كنتم تزعمون وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَادَى كَمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُم مَّا خَوَّلْنَاكُمْ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِكُمْ وَمَا نَرَى مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَاءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَاءَ لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| جئتمونا - you have come to Us| فرادى - alone| كما - as| خلقناكم - We created you| أول - (the) first| مرة - time,| وتركتم - and you have left| ما - whatever| خولناكم - We bestowed (on) you| وراء - behind| ظهوركم - your backs.| وما - And not| نرى - We see| معكم - with you| شفعاءكم - your intercessors| الذين - those whom| زعمتم - you claimed| أنهم - that they (were)| فيكم - in your (matters)| شركاء - partners (with Allah).| لقد - Indeed,| تقطع - have been severed (bonds)| بينكم - between you| وضل - and is lost| عنكم - from you| ما - what| كنتم - you used to| تزعمون - claim."| | ||||||
| 5 [11:71] | Waimraatuhu qa-imatun fadahikatfabashsharnaha bi-ishaqa wamin wara-iishaqa yaAAqooba | وامرأته قائمة فضحكت فبشرناها بإسحاق ومن وراء إسحاق يعقوب وَامْرَأَتُهُ قَآئِمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا بِإِسْحَقَ وَمِن وَرَاءِ إِسْحَقَ يَعْقُوبَ | |||||
| Words | |وامرأته - And his wife| قائمة - (was) standing| فضحكت - and she laughed.| فبشرناها - Then We gave her glad tidings| بإسحاق - of Isaac,| ومن - and after| وراء - and after| إسحاق - Isaac| يعقوب - (of) Yaqub.| | ||||||
| 6 [23:7] | Famani ibtagha waraa thalikafaola-ika humu alAAadoona | فمن ابتغى وراء ذلك فأولئك هم العادون فَمَنِ ابْتَغَى وَرَاءَ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فمن - Then whoever| ابتغى - seeks| وراء - beyond| ذلك - that| فأولئك - then those| هم - [they]| العادون - (are) the transgressors.| | ||||||
| 7 [33:53] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tadkhuloo buyoota alnnabiyyi illa an yu/thanalakum ila taAAamin ghayra nathireenainahu walakin itha duAAeetum faodkhuloofa-itha taAAimtum faintashiroo walamusta/niseena lihadeethin inna thalikum kanayu/thee alnnabiyya fayastahyee minkum waAllahula yastahyee mina alhaqqi wa-ithasaaltumoohunna mataAAan fais-aloohunna min wara-ihijabin thalikum atharu liquloobikumwaquloobihinna wama kana lakum an tu/thoorasoola Allahi wala an tankihoo azwajahumin baAAdihi abadan inna thalikum kana AAinda AllahiAAatheeman | يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تدخلوا بيوت النبي إلا أن يؤذن لكم إلى طعام غير ناظرين إناه ولكن إذا دعيتم فادخلوا فإذا طعمتم فانتشروا ولا مستأنسين لحديث إن ذلكم كان يؤذي النبي فيستحيي منكم والله لا يستحيي من الحق وإذا سألتموهن متاعا فاسألوهن من وراء حجاب ذلكم أطهر لقلوبكم وقلوبهن وما كان لكم أن تؤذوا رسول الله ولا أن تنكحوا أزواجه من بعده أبدا إن ذلكم كان عند الله عظيما يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتَ النَّبِيِّ إِلَّا أَن يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ إِلَى طَعَامٍ غَيْرَ نَاظِرِينَ إِنَاهُ وَلَكِنْ إِذَا دُعِيتُمْ فَادْخُلُوا فَإِذَا طَعِمْتُمْ فَانتَشِرُوا وَلَا مُسْتَأْنِسِينَ لِحَدِيثٍ إِنَّ ذَلِكُمْ كَانَ يُؤْذِي النَّبِيَّ فَيَسْتَحْيِي مِنكُمْ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَاعًا فَاسْأَلُوهُنَّ مِن وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ ذَلِكُمْ أَطْهَرُ لِقُلُوبِكُمْ وَقُلُوبِهِنَّ وَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَن تُؤْذُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَن تَنكِحُوا أَزْوَاجَهُ مِن بَعْدِهِ أَبَدًا إِنَّ ذَلِكُمْ كَانَ عِندَ اللَّهِ عَظِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you who believe!| الذين - O you who believe!| آمنوا - O you who believe!| لا - (Do) not| تدخلوا - enter| بيوت - (the) houses| النبي - (of) the Prophet| إلا - except| أن - when| يؤذن - permission is given| لكم - to you| إلى - for| طعام - a meal,| غير - without| ناظرين - awaiting| إناه - its preparation.| ولكن - But| إذا - when| دعيتم - you are invited,| فادخلوا - then enter;| فإذا - and when| طعمتم - you have eaten,| فانتشروا - then disperse| ولا - and not| مستأنسين - seeking to remain| لحديث - for a conversation.| إن - Indeed,| ذلكم - that| كان - was| يؤذي - troubling| النبي - the Prophet,| فيستحيي - and he is shy| منكم - of (dismissing) you.| والله - But Allah| لا - is not shy| يستحيي - is not shy| من - of| الحق - the truth.| وإذا - And when| سألتموهن - you ask them| متاعا - (for) anything| فاسألوهن - then ask them| من - from| وراء - behind| حجاب - a screen.| ذلكم - That| أطهر - (is) purer| لقلوبكم - for your hearts| وقلوبهن - and their hearts.| وما - And not| كان - is| لكم - for you| أن - that| تؤذوا - you trouble| رسول - (the) Messenger| الله - (of) Allah| ولا - and not| أن - that| تنكحوا - you should marry| أزواجه - his wives| من - after him,| بعده - after him,| أبدا - ever.| إن - Indeed,| ذلكم - that| كان - is| عند - near| الله - Allah| عظيما - an enormity.| | ||||||
| 8 [42:51] | Wama kana libasharin anyukallimahu Allahu illa wahyan aw min wara-ihijabin aw yursila rasoolan fayoohiya bi-ithnihima yashao innahu AAaliyyun hakeemun | وما كان لبشر أن يكلمه الله إلا وحيا أو من وراء حجاب أو يرسل رسولا فيوحي بإذنه ما يشاء إنه علي حكيم وَمَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُكَلِّمَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا وَحْيًا أَوْ مِن وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ رَسُولًا فَيُوحِيَ بِإِذْنِهِ مَا يَشَاءُ إِنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| كان - is| لبشر - for any human| أن - that| يكلمه - Allah should speak to him| الله - Allah should speak to him| إلا - except| وحيا - (by) revelation| أو - or| من - from| وراء - behind| حجاب - a veil| أو - or| يرسل - (by) sending| رسولا - a messenger| فيوحي - then he reveals| بإذنه - by His permission| ما - what| يشاء - He wills.| إنه - Indeed, He| علي - (is) Most High,| حكيم - Most Wise.| | ||||||
| 9 [49:4] | Inna allatheena yunadoonaka minwara-i alhujurati aktharuhum layaAAqiloona | إن الذين ينادونك من وراء الحجرات أكثرهم لا يعقلون إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُنَادُونَكَ مِن وَرَاءِ الْحُجُرَاتِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| ينادونك - call you| من - from| وراء - behind| الحجرات - the private chambers,| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعقلون - understand.| | ||||||
| 10 [59:14] | La yuqatiloonakum jameeAAanilla fee quran muhassanatin aw min wara-ijudurin ba/suhum baynahum shadeedun tahsabuhum jameeAAanwaquloobuhum shatta thalika bi-annahum qawmun layaAAqiloona | لا يقاتلونكم جميعا إلا في قرى محصنة أو من وراء جدر بأسهم بينهم شديد تحسبهم جميعا وقلوبهم شتى ذلك بأنهم قوم لا يعقلون لَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ جَمِيعًا إِلَّا فِي قُرًى مُّحَصَّنَةٍ أَوْ مِن وَرَاءِ جُدُرٍ بَأْسُهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ شَدِيدٌ تَحْسَبُهُمْ جَمِيعًا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ شَتَّى ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |لا - Not| يقاتلونكم - will they fight you| جميعا - all| إلا - except| في - in| قرى - towns| محصنة - fortified| أو - or| من - from| وراء - behind| جدر - walls.| بأسهم - Their violence| بينهم - among themselves| شديد - (is) severe.| تحسبهم - You think they| جميعا - (are) united,| وقلوبهم - but their hearts| شتى - (are) divided.| ذلك - That| بأنهم - (is) because they| قوم - (are) a people,| لا - not| يعقلون - they reason.| | ||||||
| 11 [70:31] | Famani ibtagha waraa thalikafaola-ika humu alAAadoona | فمن ابتغى وراء ذلك فأولئك هم العادون فَمَنِ ابْتَغَى وَرَاءَ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ | |||||
