| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[3:187] | Wa-ith akhatha Allahumeethaqa allatheena ootoo alkitabalatubayyinunnahu lilnnasi wala taktumoonahufanabathoohu waraa thuhoorihim waishtarawbihi thamanan qaleelan fabi/sa ma yashtaroona
|  وإذ أخذ الله ميثاق الذين أوتوا الكتاب لتبيننه للناس ولا تكتمونه فنبذوه وراء ظهورهم واشتروا به ثمنا قليلا فبئس ما يشترون
وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللّهُ مِيثَاقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلاَ تَكْتُمُونَهُ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْاْ بِهِ ثَمَناً قَلِيلاً فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُونَ |
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذ - took| الله - Allah| ميثاق - a Covenant| الذين - (from) those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book,| لتبيننه - "You certainly make it clear| للناس - to the mankind| ولا - and (do) not| تكتمونه - conceal it.| فنبذوه - Then they threw it| وراء - behind| ظهورهم - their backs| واشتروا - and they exchanged| به - [with] it| ثمنا - (for) a price| قليلا - little.| فبئس - And wretched| ما - (is) what| يشترون - they purchase.| |

| አላህ የነዚያን መጽሐፉን የተሰጡትን ቃል ኪዳን ለሰዎች በእርግጥ ታብራሩታላችሁ አትደብቁትምም በማለት የያዘባቸውን (አስታውሱ)፡፡ በጀርባዎቻቸውም ኋላ ጣሉት፡፡ በርሱም ጥቂትን ዋጋ ገዙ፡፡ የሚገዙትም ነገር ከፋ! |
| آل الجلالين | { و } اذكر { إذ أخذ الله ميثاق الذين أوتوا الكتاب } أي العهد عليهم في التوراة { لَيُبَيِّنَنَّهُ } أي الكتاب { للناس ولا يكتمونه } أي الكتاب بالياء والتاء في الفعلين { فنبذوه } طرحوا الميثاق { وراء ظهورهم } فلم يعملوا به { واشتروا به } أخذوا بدله { ثمنا قليلا } من الدنيا من سفلتهم برياستهم في العلم فكتموه خوف فوته عليهم { فبئس ما يشترون } شراؤهم هذا . |
| Mi Iîîef Öebbi laâqed n wid iwumi teppunefk Tezmamt: "a p tbeggnem i medden, ur p teppeffrem". Rran p deffir izugar nnsen, u$en yis, ayen irxisen. I icmet wayen u$en! |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর আল্লাহ যখন আহলে কিতাবদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিজ্ঞা গ্রহণ করলেন যে, তা মানুষের নিকট বর্ণনা করবে এবং গোপন করবে না, তখন তারা সে প্রতিজ্ঞাকে নিজেদের পেছনে ফেলে রাখল আর তার কেনা-বেচা করল সামান্য মূল্যের বিনিময়ে। সুতরাং কতই না মন্দ তাদের এ বেচা-কেনা। |
| Literal | And when God took/received those who were given The Book's promise/covenant, to clarify/show/explain it (E) to the people, and do not hide/conceal it, so they discarded/rejected it behind/beyond their backs and bought/volunteered with it a small price, so how bad (is) what they buy/volunteer? |
| Yusuf Ali | And remember Allah took a covenant from the People of the Book, to make it known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it; but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! And vile was the bargain they made! |
