| 1 [2:143] | Wakathalika jaAAalnakumommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasiwayakoona alrrasoolu AAalaykum shaheedan wamajaAAalna alqiblata allatee kunta AAalayha illalinaAAlama man yattabiAAu alrrasoola mimman yanqalibu AAalaAAaqibayhi wa-in kanat lakabeeratan illa AAalaallatheena hada Allahu wama kanaAllahu liyudeeAAa eemanakum inna Allahabialnnasi laraoofun raheemun |  وكذلك جعلناكم أمة وسطا لتكونوا شهداء على الناس ويكون الرسول عليكم شهيدا وما جعلنا القبلة التي كنت عليها إلا لنعلم من يتبع الرسول ممن ينقلب على عقبيه وإن كانت لكبيرة إلا على الذين هدى الله وما كان الله ليضيع إيمانكم إن الله بالناس لرءوف رحيموَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِّتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الْقِبْلَةَ الَّتِي كُنتَ عَلَيْهَا إِلاَّ لِنَعْلَمَ مَن يَتَّبِعُ الرَّسُولَ مِمَّن يَنقَلِبُ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَإِن كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً إِلاَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللّهُ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| جعلناكم - We made you| أمة - a community| وسطا - (of the) middle way| لتكونوا - so that you will be| شهداء - witnesses| على - over| الناس - the mankind,| ويكون - and will be| الرسول - the Messenger| عليكم - on you| شهيدا - a witness.| وما - And not| جعلنا - We made| القبلة - the direction of prayer| التي - which| كنت - you were used to| عليها - [on it]| إلا - except| لنعلم - that We make evident| من - (he) who| يتبع - follows| الرسول - the Messenger| ممن - from (he) who| ينقلب - turns back| على - on| عقبيه - his heels.| وإن - And indeed,| كانت - it was| لكبيرة - certainly a great (test)| إلا - except| على - for| الذين - those whom| هدى - guided| الله - (by) Allah.| وما - And not| كان - will| الله - Allah| ليضيع - let go waste| إيمانكم - your faith.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| بالناس - (is) to [the] mankind| لرءوف - Full of Kindness,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 2 [4:33] | Walikullin jaAAalna mawaliyamimma taraka alwalidani waal-aqraboonawaallatheena AAaqadat aymanukum faatoohumnaseebahum inna Allaha kana AAalakulli shay-in shaheedan | ولكل جعلنا موالي مما ترك الوالدان والأقربون والذين عقدت أيمانكم فآتوهم نصيبهم إن الله كان على كل شيء شهيدا وَلِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مَوَالِيَ مِمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالْأَقْرَبُونَ وَالَّذِينَ عَقَدَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ فَآتُوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |ولكل - And for all| جعلنا - We (have) made| موالي - heirs| مما - of what| ترك - (is) left| الوالدان - (by) the parents| والأقربون - and the relatives.| والذين - And those whom| عقدت - pledged| أيمانكم - your right hands -| فآتوهم - then give them| نصيبهم - their share.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| كان - is| على - over| كل - every| شيء - thing| شهيدا - a Witness.| | ||||||
| 3 [4:41] | Fakayfa itha ji/na min kulliommatin bishaheedin waji/na bika AAala haola-ishaheedan | فكيف إذا جئنا من كل أمة بشهيد وجئنا بك على هؤلاء شهيدا فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِن كُلِّ أمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَـؤُلاَءِ شَهِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |فكيف - So how (will it be)| إذا - when| جئنا - We bring| من - from| كل - every| أمة - nation| بشهيد - a witness| وجئنا - and We bring| بك - you| على - against| هؤلاء - these (people)| شهيدا - (as) a witness.| | ||||||
| 4 [4:72] | Wa-inna minkum laman layubatti-annafa-in asabatkum museebatun qala qad anAAamaAllahu AAalayya ith lam akun maAAahum shaheedan | وإن منكم لمن ليبطئن فإن أصابتكم مصيبة قال قد أنعم الله علي إذ لم أكن معهم شهيدا وَإِنَّ مِنكُمْ لَمَن لَّيُبَطِّئَنَّ فَإِنْ أَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالَ قَدْ أَنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلَيَّ إِذْ لَمْ أَكُن مَّعَهُمْ شَهِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And indeed,| منكم - among you| لمن - (is he) who| ليبطئن - lags behind| فإن - then if| أصابتكم - befalls you| مصيبة - a disaster| قال - he said,| قد - "Verily| أنعم - (has) favored| الله - Allah| علي - [on] me| إذ - [when]| لم - (that) not| أكن - I was| معهم - with them,| شهيدا - present."| | ||||||
| 5 [4:79] | Ma asabaka min hasanatinfamina Allahi wama asabaka min sayyi-atinfamin nafsika waarsalnaka lilnnasi rasoolanwakafa biAllahi shaheedan | ما أصابك من حسنة فمن الله وما أصابك من سيئة فمن نفسك وأرسلناك للناس رسولا وكفى بالله شهيدا مَّا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ اللّهِ وَمَا أَصَابَكَ مِن سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِن نَّفْسِكَ وَأَرْسَلْنَاكَ لِلنَّاسِ رَسُولاً وَكَفَى بِاللّهِ شَهِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |ما - What(ever)| أصابك - befalls you| من - of| حسنة - (the) good| فمن - (is) from| الله - Allah,| وما - and whatever| أصابك - befalls you| من - of| سيئة - (the) evil| فمن - (is) from| نفسك - yourself.| وأرسلناك - And We have sent you| للناس - for the people| رسولا - (as) a Messenger,| وكفى - and is sufficient| بالله - Allah| شهيدا - (as) a Witness.| | ||||||
| 6 [4:159] | Wa-in min ahli alkitabi illalayu/minanna bihi qabla mawtihi wayawma alqiyamati yakoonuAAalayhim shaheedan | وإن من أهل الكتاب إلا ليؤمنن به قبل موته ويوم القيامة يكون عليهم شهيدا وَإِن مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ إِلاَّ لَيُؤْمِنَنَّ بِهِ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And (there is) not| من - from| أهل - (the) People| الكتاب - (of) the Book| إلا - but| ليؤمنن - surely he believes| به - in him| قبل - before| موته - his death.| ويوم - And (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection| يكون - he will be| عليهم - against them| شهيدا - a witness.| | ||||||
| 7 [4:166] | Lakini Allahu yashhadu bimaanzala ilayka anzalahu biAAilmihi waalmala-ikatuyashhadoona wakafa biAllahi shaheedan | لكن الله يشهد بما أنزل إليك أنزله بعلمه والملائكة يشهدون وكفى بالله شهيدا لَّـكِنِ اللّهُ يَشْهَدُ بِمَا أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكَ أَنزَلَهُ بِعِلْمِهِ وَالْمَلآئِكَةُ يَشْهَدُونَ وَكَفَى بِاللّهِ شَهِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |لكن - But| الله - Allah| يشهد - bears witness| بما - to what| أنزل - He (has) revealed| إليك - to you.| أنزله - He has sent it down| بعلمه - with His Knowledge| والملائكة - and the Angels| يشهدون - bear witness.| وكفى - And is sufficient| بالله - Allah| شهيدا - (as) a Witness.| | ||||||
| 8 [5:117] | Ma qultu lahum illa maamartanee bihi ani oAAbudoo Allaha rabbee warabbakumwakuntu AAalayhim shaheedan ma dumtu feehim falammatawaffaytanee kunta anta alrraqeeba AAalayhim waanta AAalakulli shay-in shaheedun | ما قلت لهم إلا ما أمرتني به أن اعبدوا الله ربي وربكم وكنت عليهم شهيدا ما دمت فيهم فلما توفيتني كنت أنت الرقيب عليهم وأنت على كل شيء شهيد مَا قُلْتُ لَهُمْ إِلاَّ مَا أَمَرْتَنِي بِهِ أَنِ اعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمْ وَكُنتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا مَّا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِي كُنتَ أَنتَ الرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَنتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ | |||||
| Words | |ما - Not| قلت - I said| لهم - to them| إلا - except| ما - what| أمرتني - You commanded me| به - [with it]| أن - that| اعبدوا - "You worship| الله - Allah,| ربي - my Lord| وربكم - and your Lord."| وكنت - And I was| عليهم - over them| شهيدا - a witness| ما - that| دمت - as long as I| فيهم - (was) among them,| فلما - then when| توفيتني - You raised me| كنت - You were| أنت - [You]| الرقيب - the Watcher| عليهم - over them,| وأنت - and You| على - (are) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| شهيد - a Witness.| | ||||||
| 9 [10:29] | Fakafa biAllahishaheedan baynana wabaynakum in kunna AAan AAibadatikumlaghafileena | فكفى بالله شهيدا بيننا وبينكم إن كنا عن عبادتكم لغافلين فَكَفَى بِاللّهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ إِن كُنَّا عَنْ عِبَادَتِكُمْ لَغَافِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فكفى - So sufficient| بالله - (is) Allah| شهيدا - (as) a witness| بيننا - between us| وبينكم - and between you| إن - that| كنا - we were| عن - of| عبادتكم - your worship| لغافلين - certainly unaware.| | ||||||
| 10 [13:43] | Wayaqoolu allatheena kafaroo lastamursalan qul kafa biAllahi shaheedan bayneewabaynakum waman AAindahu AAilmu alkitabi | ويقول الذين كفروا لست مرسلا قل كفى بالله شهيدا بيني وبينكم ومن عنده علم الكتاب وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَسْتَ مُرْسَلاً قُلْ كَفَى بِاللّهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَمَنْ عِندَهُ عِلْمُ الْكِتَابِ | |||||
| Words | |ويقول - And say| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| لست - "You are not| مرسلا - a Messenger."| قل - Say,| كفى - "Sufficient| بالله - (is) Allah| شهيدا - (as) a Witness| بيني - between me| وبينكم - and between you,| ومن - and whoever| عنده - [he] has| علم - knowledge| الكتاب - (of) the Book."| | ||||||
| 11 [16:84] | Wayawma nabAAathu min kulli ommatinshaheedan thumma la yu/thanu lillatheenakafaroo wala hum yustaAAtaboona | ويوم نبعث من كل أمة شهيدا ثم لا يؤذن للذين كفروا ولا هم يستعتبون وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا ثُمَّ لاَ يُؤْذَنُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَلاَ هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ويوم - And the Day| نبعث - We will resurrect| من - from| كل - every| أمة - nation| شهيدا - a witness,| ثم - then| لا - not| يؤذن - will be permitted| للذين - to those who| كفروا - disbelieved| ولا - and not| هم - they| يستعتبون - will be asked to make amends.| | ||||||
| 12 [16:89] | Wayawma nabAAathu fee kulli ommatinshaheedan AAalayhim min anfusihim waji/na bika shaheedanAAala haola-i wanazzalna AAalaykaalkitaba tibyanan likulli shay-in wahudan warahmatanwabushra lilmuslimeena | ويوم نبعث في كل أمة شهيدا عليهم من أنفسهم وجئنا بك شهيدا على هؤلاء ونزلنا عليك الكتاب تبيانا لكل شيء وهدى ورحمة وبشرى للمسلمين وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ شَهِيدًا عَلَى هَـؤُلاَءِ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ تِبْيَانًا لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً وَبُشْرَى لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ويوم - And the Day| نبعث - We will resurrect| في - among| كل - every| أمة - nation| شهيدا - a witness| عليهم - over them| من - from| أنفسهم - themselves.| وجئنا - And We (will) bring| بك - you| شهيدا - (as) a witness| على - over| هؤلاء - these.| ونزلنا - And We sent down| عليك - to you| الكتاب - the Book| تبيانا - (as) a clarification| لكل - of every| شيء - thing| وهدى - and a guidance| ورحمة - and mercy| وبشرى - and glad tidings| للمسلمين - for the Muslims.| | ||||||
| 13 [17:96] | Qul kafa biAllahishaheedan baynee wabaynakum innahu kana biAAibadihikhabeeran baseeran | قل كفى بالله شهيدا بيني وبينكم إنه كان بعباده خبيرا بصيرا قُلْ كَفَى بِاللّهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا بَصِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| كفى - "Sufficient is| بالله - Allah| شهيدا - (as) a witness| بيني - between me| وبينكم - and between you.| إنه - Indeed, He| كان - is| بعباده - of His slaves| خبيرا - All-Aware,| بصيرا - All-Seer."| | ||||||
| 14 [22:78] | Wajahidoo fee Allahi haqqajihadihi huwa ijtabakum wama jaAAalaAAalaykum fee alddeeni min harajin millata abeekumibraheema huwa sammakumu almuslimeena min qabluwafee hatha liyakoona alrrasoolu shaheedanAAalaykum watakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasifaaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakatawaiAAtasimoo biAllahi huwa mawlakumfaniAAma almawla waniAAma alnnaseeru | وجاهدوا في الله حق جهاده هو اجتباكم وما جعل عليكم في الدين من حرج ملة أبيكم إبراهيم هو سماكم المسلمين من قبل وفي هذا ليكون الرسول شهيدا عليكم وتكونوا شهداء على الناس فأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة واعتصموا بالله هو مولاكم فنعم المولى ونعم النصير وَجَاهِدُوا فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ هُوَ اجْتَبَاكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمينَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِي هَذَا لِيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِاللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَاكُمْ فَنِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |وجاهدوا - And strive| في - for| الله - Allah| حق - (with the) striving due (to) Him.| جهاده - (with the) striving due (to) Him.| هو - He| اجتباكم - (has) chosen you| وما - and not| جعل - placed| عليكم - upon you| في - in| الدين - the religion| من - any| حرج - difficulty.| ملة - (The) religion| أبيكم - (of) your father| إبراهيم - Ibrahim.| هو - He| سماكم - named you| المسلمين - Muslims| من - before| قبل - before| وفي - and in| هذا - this,| ليكون - that may be| الرسول - the Messenger| شهيدا - a witness| عليكم - over you| وتكونوا - and you may be| شهداء - witnesses| على - on| الناس - the mankind.| فأقيموا - So establish| الصلاة - the prayer| وآتوا - and give| الزكاة - zakah| واعتصموا - and hold fast| بالله - to Allah.| هو - He| مولاكم - (is) your Protector -| فنعم - so an Excellent| المولى - [the] Protector| ونعم - and an Excellent| النصير - [the] Helper.| | ||||||
| 15 [28:75] | WanazaAAna min kulli ommatinshaheedan faqulna hatoo burhanakumfaAAalimoo anna alhaqqa lillahi wadallaAAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroona | ونزعنا من كل أمة شهيدا فقلنا هاتوا برهانكم فعلموا أن الحق لله وضل عنهم ما كانوا يفترون وَنَزَعْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا فَقُلْنَا هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ فَعَلِمُوا أَنَّ الْحَقَّ لِلَّهِ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ونزعنا - And We will draw forth| من - from| كل - every| أمة - nation| شهيدا - a witness| فقلنا - and We will say,| هاتوا - "Bring| برهانكم - your proof?"| فعلموا - Then they will know| أن - that| الحق - the truth| لله - (is) for Allah| وضل - and (will be) lost| عنهم - from them| ما - what| كانوا - they used (to)| يفترون - invent.| | ||||||
| 16 [29:52] | Qul kafa biAllahibaynee wabaynakum shaheedan yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawatiwaal-ardi waallatheena amanoobialbatili wakafaroo biAllahi ola-ikahumu alkhasiroona | قل كفى بالله بيني وبينكم شهيدا يعلم ما في السماوات والأرض والذين آمنوا بالباطل وكفروا بالله أولئك هم الخاسرون قُلْ كَفَى بِاللَّهِ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ شَهِيدًا يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ وَكَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| كفى - "Sufficient is| بالله - Allah| بيني - between me| وبينكم - and between you| شهيدا - (as) a Witness.| يعلم - He knows| ما - what| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| والذين - And those who| آمنوا - believe| بالباطل - in [the] falsehood| وكفروا - and disbelieve| بالله - in Allah,| أولئك - those,| هم - they| الخاسرون - (are) the losers."| | ||||||
| 17 [33:55] | La junaha AAalayhinna fee aba-ihinnawala abna-ihinna wala ikhwanihinnawala abna-i ikhwanihinna wala abna-iakhawatihinna wala nisa-ihinna wala mamalakat aymanuhunna waittaqeena Allaha innaAllaha kana AAala kulli shay-in shaheedan | لا جناح عليهن في آبائهن ولا أبنائهن ولا إخوانهن ولا أبناء إخوانهن ولا أبناء أخواتهن ولا نسائهن ولا ما ملكت أيمانهن واتقين الله إن الله كان على كل شيء شهيدا لَّا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِنَّ فِي آبَائِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَائِهِنَّ وَلَا إِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَاءِ إِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَاءِ أَخَوَاتِهِنَّ وَلَا نِسَائِهِنَّ وَلَا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُنَّ وَاتَّقِينَ اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |لا - (There is) no| جناح - blame| عليهن - upon them| في - concerning| آبائهن - their fathers| ولا - and not| أبنائهن - their sons| ولا - and not| إخوانهن - their brothers| ولا - and not| أبناء - sons| إخوانهن - (of) their brothers| ولا - and not| أبناء - sons| أخواتهن - (of) their sisters| ولا - and not| نسائهن - their women| ولا - and not| ما - what| ملكت - they rightfully possess.| أيمانهن - they rightfully possess.| واتقين - And fear| الله - Allah.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| كان - is| على - over| كل - all| شيء - things| شهيدا - a Witness.| | ||||||
| 18 [46:8] | Am yaqooloona iftarahu qul iniiftaraytuhu fala tamlikoona lee mina Allahi shay-anhuwa aAAlamu bima tufeedoona feehi kafa bihishaheedan baynee wabaynakum wahuwa alghafooru alrraheemu | أم يقولون افتراه قل إن افتريته فلا تملكون لي من الله شيئا هو أعلم بما تفيضون فيه كفى به شهيدا بيني وبينكم وهو الغفور الرحيم أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ قُلْ إِنِ افْتَرَيْتُهُ فَلَا تَمْلِكُونَ لِي مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِ كَفَى بِهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||
| Words | |أم - Or| يقولون - they say,| افتراه - "He has invented it."| قل - Say,| إن - "If| افتريته - I have invented it| فلا - then not| تملكون - you have power| لي - for me| من - against| الله - Allah| شيئا - anything.| هو - He| أعلم - knows best| بما - of what| تفيضون - you utter| فيه - concerning it.| كفى - Sufficient is He| به - Sufficient is He| شهيدا - (as) a Witness| بيني - between me| وبينكم - and between you,| وهو - and He| الغفور - (is) the Oft-Forgiving,| الرحيم - the Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 19 [48:28] | Huwa allathee arsala rasoolahu bialhudawadeeni alhaqqi liyuthhirahu AAala alddeenikullihi wakafa biAllahi shaheedan | هو الذي أرسل رسوله بالهدى ودين الحق ليظهره على الدين كله وكفى بالله شهيدا هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا | |||||
