| 1 [20:21] | Qala khuthha walatakhaf sanuAAeeduha seerataha al-oola |  قال خذها ولا تخف سنعيدها سيرتها الأولىقَالَ خُذْهَا وَلَا تَخَفْ سَنُعِيدُهَا سِيرَتَهَا الْأُولَى | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| خذها - "Seize it| ولا - and (do) not| تخف - fear.| سنعيدها - We will return it| سيرتها - (to) its state| الأولى - the former.| | ||||||
| 2 [20:51] | Qala fama balualqurooni al-oola | قال فما بال القرون الأولى قَالَ فَمَا بَالُ الْقُرُونِ الْأُولَى | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| فما - "Then what| بال - (is the) case| القرون - (of) the generations| الأولى - (of) the former."| | ||||||
| 3 [20:133] | Waqaloo lawla ya/teenabi-ayatin min rabbihi awa lam ta/tihim bayyinatu mafee alssuhufi al-oola | وقالوا لولا يأتينا بآية من ربه أولم تأتهم بينة ما في الصحف الأولى وَقَالُواْ لَوْلَا يَأْتِينَا بِآيَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِ أَوَلَمْ تَأْتِهِم بَيِّنَةُ مَا فِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَى | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| لولا - "Why not| يأتينا - he brings us| بآية - a sign| من - from| ربه - his Lord?"| أولم - Has not| تأتهم - come to them| بينة - evidence| ما - (of) what| في - (was) in| الصحف - the Scriptures| الأولى - the former?| | ||||||
| 4 [28:43] | Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba min baAAdi ma ahlakna alquroonaal-oola basa-ira lilnnasi wahudanwarahmatan laAAallahum yatathakkaroona | ولقد آتينا موسى الكتاب من بعد ما أهلكنا القرون الأولى بصائر للناس وهدى ورحمة لعلهم يتذكرون وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ الْأُولَى بَصَائِرَ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| آتينا - We gave| موسى - Musa| الكتاب - the Scripture,| من - after [what]| بعد - after [what]| ما - after [what]| أهلكنا - We had destroyed| القرون - the generations| الأولى - former| بصائر - (as) an enlightenment| للناس - for the mankind| وهدى - and a guidance| ورحمة - and mercy| لعلهم - that they may| يتذكرون - remember.| | ||||||
| 5 [28:70] | Wahuwa Allahu la ilahailla huwa lahu alhamdu fee al-oola waal-akhiratiwalahu alhukmu wa-ilayhi turjaAAoona | وهو الله لا إله إلا هو له الحمد في الأولى والآخرة وله الحكم وإليه ترجعون وَهُوَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي الْأُولَى وَالْآخِرَةِ وَلَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وهو - And He| الله - (is) Allah;| لا - (there is) no| إله - god| إلا - but| هو - He.| له - To Him| الحمد - (are due) all praises| في - in| الأولى - the first| والآخرة - and the last.| وله - And for Him| الحكم - (is) the Decision,| وإليه - and to Him| ترجعون - you will be returned.| | ||||||
| 6 [33:33] | Waqarna fee buyootikunna walatabarrajna tabarruja aljahiliyyati al-oola waaqimnaalssalata waateena alzzakatawaatiAAna Allaha warasoolahu innama yureeduAllahu liyuthhiba AAankumu alrrijsa ahlaalbayti wayutahhirakum tatheeran | وقرن في بيوتكن ولا تبرجن تبرج الجاهلية الأولى وأقمن الصلاة وآتين الزكاة وأطعن الله ورسوله إنما يريد الله ليذهب عنكم الرجس أهل البيت ويطهركم تطهيرا وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَى وَأَقِمْنَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتِينَ الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِعْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |وقرن - And stay| في - in| بيوتكن - your houses| ولا - and (do) not| تبرجن - display yourselves| تبرج - (as was the) display| الجاهلية - (of the times of) ignorance| الأولى - the former.| وأقمن - And establish| الصلاة - the prayer| وآتين - and give| الزكاة - zakah| وأطعن - and obey| الله - Allah| ورسوله - and His Messenger.| إنما - Only| يريد - Allah wishes| الله - Allah wishes| ليذهب - to remove| عنكم - from you| الرجس - the impurity,| أهل - (O) People| البيت - (of) the House!| ويطهركم - And to purify you| تطهيرا - (with thorough) purification.| | ||||||
| 7 [37:59] | Illa mawtatana al-oolawama nahnu bimuAAaththabeena | إلا موتتنا الأولى وما نحن بمعذبين إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا الْأُولَى وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إلا - Except| موتتنا - our death| الأولى - the first,| وما - and not| نحن - we| بمعذبين - will be punished?"| | ||||||
| 8 [44:35] | In hiya illa mawtatuna al-oolawama nahnu bimunshareena | إن هي إلا موتتنا الأولى وما نحن بمنشرين إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا الْأُولَى وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ | |||||

| 12 [56:62] | Walaqad AAalimtumu alnnash-ata al-oolafalawla tathakkaroona | ولقد علمتم النشأة الأولى فلولا تذكرون وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَى فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| علمتم - you know| النشأة - the creation| الأولى - the first,| فلولا - so why not| تذكرون - you take heed?| | ||||||

| 14 [93:4] | Walal-akhiratu khayrun laka minaal-oola | وللآخرة خير لك من الأولى وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَى | |||||
