| 1 [13:17] | Anzala mina alssama-i maanfasalat awdiyatun biqadariha faihtamalaalssaylu zabadan rabiyan wamimma yooqidoonaAAalayhi fee alnnari ibtighaa hilyatinaw mataAAin zabadun mithluhu kathalika yadribuAllahu alhaqqa waalbatila faammaalzzabadu fayathhabu jufaan waamma mayanfaAAu alnnasa fayamkuthu fee al-ardi kathalikayadribu Allahu al-amthala |  أنزل من السماء ماء فسالت أودية بقدرها فاحتمل السيل زبدا رابيا ومما يوقدون عليه في النار ابتغاء حلية أو متاع زبد مثله كذلك يضرب الله الحق والباطل فأما الزبد فيذهب جفاء وأما ما ينفع الناس فيمكث في الأرض كذلك يضرب الله الأمثالأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَسَالَتْ أَوْدِيَةٌ بِقَدَرِهَا فَاحْتَمَلَ السَّيْلُ زَبَدًا رَّابِيًا وَمِمَّا يُوقِدُونَ عَلَيْهِ فِي النَّارِ ابْتِغَاءِ حِلْيَةٍ أَوْ مَتَاعٍ زَبَدٌ مِّثْلُهُ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللّهُ الْحَقَّ وَالْبَاطِلَ فَأَمَّا الزَّبَدُ فَيَذْهَبُ جُفَاءً وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ النَّاسَ فَيَمْكُثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ | |||||
| Words | |أنزل - He sends down| من - from| السماء - the sky| ماء - water| فسالت - and flows| أودية - the valleys| بقدرها - according to their measure,| فاحتمل - and carries| السيل - the torrent| زبدا - a foam| رابيا - rising.| ومما - And from what| يوقدون - they heat| عليه - [on] it| في - in| النار - the fire| ابتغاء - in order to make| حلية - ornaments| أو - or| متاع - utensils,| زبد - a foam| مثله - like it.| كذلك - Thus| يضرب - sets forth| الله - Allah| الحق - the truth| والباطل - and the falsehood.| فأما - Then as for| الزبد - the foam| فيذهب - it passes away| جفاء - (as) scum,| وأما - and as for| ما - what| ينفع - benefits| الناس - the mankind,| فيمكث - remains| في - in| الأرض - the earth.| كذلك - Thus| يضرب - Allah sets forth| الله - Allah sets forth| الأمثال - the examples.| | ||||||
| 2 [14:25] | Tu/tee okulaha kulla heeninbi-ithni rabbiha wayadribu Allahual-amthala lilnnasi laAAallahum yatathakkaroona | تؤتي أكلها كل حين بإذن ربها ويضرب الله الأمثال للناس لعلهم يتذكرون تُؤْتِي أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهَا وَيَضْرِبُ اللّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |تؤتي - Giving| أكلها - its fruit| كل - all| حين - time| بإذن - by the permission| ربها - of its Lord.| ويضرب - And Allah sets forth| الله - And Allah sets forth| الأمثال - the examples| للناس - for mankind| لعلهم - so that they may| يتذكرون - remember.| | ||||||
| 3 [14:45] | Wasakantum fee masakini allatheenathalamoo anfusahum watabayyana lakum kayfa faAAalnabihim wadarabna lakumu al-amthala | وسكنتم في مساكن الذين ظلموا أنفسهم وتبين لكم كيف فعلنا بهم وضربنا لكم الأمثال وَسَكَنتُمْ فِي مَسَـاكِنِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمْ كَيْفَ فَعَلْنَا بِهِمْ وَضَرَبْنَا لَكُمُ الْأَمْثَالَ | |||||
| Words | |وسكنتم - And you dwelt| في - in| مساكن - the dwellings| الذين - (of) those who| ظلموا - wronged| أنفسهم - themselves,| وتبين - and it had become clear| لكم - to you| كيف - how| فعلنا - We dealt| بهم - with them,| وضربنا - and We put forth| لكم - for you| الأمثال - the examples."| | ||||||
| 4 [16:74] | Fala tadriboo lillahial-amthala inna Allaha yaAAlamu waantum lataAAlamoona | فلا تضربوا لله الأمثال إن الله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون فَلاَ تَضْرِبُواْ لِلّهِ الْأَمْثَالَ إِنَّ اللّهَ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فلا - So (do) not| تضربوا - put forth| لله - for Allah| الأمثال - the similitude.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| يعلم - knows| وأنتم - and you| لا - (do) not| تعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 5 [17:48] | Onthur kayfa daraboolaka al-amthala fadalloo fala yastateeAAoonasabeelan | انظر كيف ضربوا لك الأمثال فضلوا فلا يستطيعون سبيلا انظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُواْ لَكَ الْأَمْثَالَ فَضَلُّواْ فَلاَ يَسْتَطِيعْونَ سَبِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |انظر - See| كيف - how| ضربوا - they put forth| لك - for you| الأمثال - the examples;| فضلوا - but they have gone astray| فلا - so not| يستطيعون - they can| سبيلا - (find) a way.| | ||||||
| 6 [24:35] | Allahu nooru alssamawatiwaal-ardi mathalu noorihi kamishkatin feehamisbahun almisbahu fee zujajatinalzzujajatu kaannaha kawkabun durriyyunyooqadu min shajaratin mubarakatin zaytoonatin lasharqiyyatin wala gharbiyyatin yakadu zaytuhayudee-o walaw lam tamsas-hu narun noorun AAalanoorin yahdee Allahu linoorihi man yashao wayadribuAllahu al-amthala lilnnasi waAllahubikulli shay-in AAaleemun | الله نور السماوات والأرض مثل نوره كمشكاة فيها مصباح المصباح في زجاجة الزجاجة كأنها كوكب دري يوقد من شجرة مباركة زيتونة لا شرقية ولا غربية يكاد زيتها يضيء ولو لم تمسسه نار نور على نور يهدي الله لنوره من يشاء ويضرب الله الأمثال للناس والله بكل شيء عليم اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكَاةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ الْمِصْبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍ الزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍ مُّبَارَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ نُّورٌ عَلَى نُورٍ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ لِنُورِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |الله - Allah| نور - (is the) Light| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| مثل - (The) example| نوره - (of) His Light| كمشكاة - (is) like a niche| فيها - in it| مصباح - (is) a lamp;| المصباح - the lamp| في - (is) in| زجاجة - a glass,| الزجاجة - the glass| كأنها - as if it were| كوكب - a star| دري - brilliant| يوقد - (which) is lit| من - from| شجرة - a tree| مباركة - blessed -| زيتونة - an olive,| لا - not| شرقية - (of the) east| ولا - and not| غربية - (of the) west,| يكاد - would almost| زيتها - its oil| يضيء - glow,| ولو - even if| لم - not| تمسسه - touched it| نار - fire.| نور - Light| على - upon| نور - Light.| يهدي - Allah guides| الله - Allah guides| لنوره - to His Light| من - whom| يشاء - He wills.| ويضرب - And Allah sets forth| الله - And Allah sets forth| الأمثال - the examples| للناس - for the mankind.| والله - And Allah| بكل - of every| شيء - thing| عليم - (is) All-Knower.| | ||||||

| 8 [25:39] | Wakullan darabna lahu al-amthalawakullan tabbarna tatbeeran | وكلا ضربنا له الأمثال وكلا تبرنا تتبيرا وَكُلًّا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ الْأَمْثَالَ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |وكلا - And each| ضربنا - We have set forth| له - for him| الأمثال - the examples,| وكلا - and each| تبرنا - We destroyed| تتبيرا - (with) destruction.| | ||||||
| 9 [29:43] | Watilka al-amthalu nadribuhalilnnasi wama yaAAqiluha illaalAAalimoona | وتلك الأمثال نضربها للناس وما يعقلها إلا العالمون وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ وَمَا يَعْقِلُهَا إِلَّا الْعَالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وتلك - And these| الأمثال - examples| نضربها - We set forth| للناس - to mankind,| وما - but not| يعقلها - will understand them| إلا - except| العالمون - those of knowledge.| | ||||||
| 10 [59:21] | Law anzalna hatha alqur-anaAAala jabalin laraaytahu khashiAAan mutasaddiAAanmin khashyati Allahi watilka al-amthalu nadribuhalilnnasi laAAallahum yatafakkaroona | لو أنزلنا هذا القرآن على جبل لرأيته خاشعا متصدعا من خشية الله وتلك الأمثال نضربها للناس لعلهم يتفكرون لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |لو - If| أنزلنا - We (had) sent down| هذا - this| القرآن - Quran| على - on| جبل - a mountain,| لرأيته - surely you (would) have seen it| خاشعا - humbled,| متصدعا - breaking asunder| من - from| خشية - (the) fear| الله - (of) Allah.| وتلك - And these| الأمثال - examples,| نضربها - We present them| للناس - to the people| لعلهم - so that they may| يتفكرون - give thought.| | ||||||
