| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[16:74] | Fala tadriboo lillahial-amthala inna Allaha yaAAlamu waantum lataAAlamoona
|  فلا تضربوا لله الأمثال إن الله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون
فَلاَ تَضْرِبُواْ لِلّهِ الْأَمْثَالَ إِنَّ اللّهَ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ |
| Words | |فلا - So (do) not| تضربوا - put forth| لله - for Allah| الأمثال - the similitude.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| يعلم - knows| وأنتم - and you| لا - (do) not| تعلمون - know.| |

| ለአላህም አምሳያዎችን አታድርጉ፡፡ አላህ (መሳይ እንደሌለው) ያውቃል፡፡ እናንተ ግን አታውቁም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فلا تضربوا لله الأمثال } لا تجعلوا لله أشباها تشركون به { إن الله يعلم } أن لا مثل له { وأنتم لا تعلمون } ذلك . |
| Ur d ppawit imedyaten i Öebbi. Ih, Öebbi Issen, kunwi ur tessinem. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতএব, আল্লাহর কোন সদৃশ সাব্যস্ত করো না, নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ জানেন এবং তোমরা জান না। |
| Literal | So do not give the examples/proverbs to God, that God knows and you do not know. |
| Yusuf Ali | Invent not similitudes for Allah: for Allah knoweth, and ye know not. |
