| 1 [5:83] | Wa-itha samiAAoo ma onzila ilaalrrasooli tara aAAyunahum tafeedu mina alddamAAimimma AAarafoo mina alhaqqi yaqooloona rabbanaamanna faoktubna maAAa alshshahideena |  وإذا سمعوا ما أنزل إلى الرسول ترى أعينهم تفيض من الدمع مما عرفوا من الحق يقولون ربنا آمنا فاكتبنا مع الشاهدينوَإِذَا سَمِعُواْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ تَرَى أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُواْ مِنَ الْحَقِّ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| سمعوا - they listen| ما - (to) what| أنزل - has been revealed| إلى - to| الرسول - the Messenger,| ترى - you see| أعينهم - their eyes| تفيض - overflowing| من - with| الدمع - the tears,| مما - for what| عرفوا - they recognized| من - of| الحق - the truth.| يقولون - They say,| ربنا - "Our Lord,| آمنا - we have believed| فاكتبنا - so write us| مع - with| الشاهدين - the witnesses.| | ||||||
| 2 [8:44] | Wa-ith yureekumoohum ithiiltaqaytum fee aAAyunikum qaleelan wayuqallilukum fee aAAyunihimliyaqdiya Allahu amran kana mafAAoolan wa-ilaAllahi turjaAAu al-omooru | وإذ يريكموهم إذ التقيتم في أعينكم قليلا ويقللكم في أعينهم ليقضي الله أمرا كان مفعولا وإلى الله ترجع الأمور وَإِذْ يُرِيكُمُوهُمْ إِذِ الْتَقَيْتُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ قَلِيلاً وَيُقَلِّلُكُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِهِمْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولاً وَإِلَى اللّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| يريكموهم - He showed them to you,| إذ - when| التقيتم - you met -| في - in| أعينكم - your eyes| قليلا - (as) few| ويقللكم - and He made you (appear) as few| في - in| أعينهم - their eyes| ليقضي - that might accomplish| الله - Allah might accomplish| أمرا - a matter| كان - (that) was| مفعولا - (already) destined.| وإلى - And to| الله - Allah| ترجع - return| الأمور - (all) the matters.| | ||||||
| 3 [18:101] | Allatheena kanat aAAyunuhumfee ghita-in AAan thikree wakanoo layastateeAAoona samAAan | الذين كانت أعينهم في غطاء عن ذكري وكانوا لا يستطيعون سمعا الَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِي غِطَاءِ عَن ذِكْرِي وَكَانُوا لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعًا | |||||
| Words | |الذين - Those| كانت - had been| أعينهم - their eyes| في - within| غطاء - a cover| عن - from| ذكري - My remembrance,| وكانوا - and were| لا - not| يستطيعون - able| سمعا - (to) hear.| | ||||||
| 4 [33:19] | Ashihhatan AAalaykum fa-itha jaaalkhawfu raaytahum yanthuroona ilayka tadooruaAAyunuhum kaallathee yughsha AAalayhi minaalmawti fa-itha thahaba alkhawfu salaqookumbi-alsinatin hidadin ashihhatan AAalaalkhayri ola-ika lam yu/minoo faahbata AllahuaAAmalahum wakana thalika AAala Allahiyaseeran | أشحة عليكم فإذا جاء الخوف رأيتهم ينظرون إليك تدور أعينهم كالذي يغشى عليه من الموت فإذا ذهب الخوف سلقوكم بألسنة حداد أشحة على الخير أولئك لم يؤمنوا فأحبط الله أعمالهم وكان ذلك على الله يسيرا أَشِحَّةً عَلَيْكُمْ فَإِذَا جَاءَ الْخَوْفُ رَأَيْتَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ تَدُورُ أَعْيُنُهُمْ كَالَّذِي يُغْشَى عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ الْخَوْفُ سَلَقُوكُم بِأَلْسِنَةٍ حِدَادٍ أَشِحَّةً عَلَى الْخَيْرِ أُوْلَئِكَ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا فَأَحْبَطَ اللَّهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |أشحة - Miserly| عليكم - towards you.| فإذا - But when| جاء - comes| الخوف - the fear,| رأيتهم - you see them| ينظرون - looking| إليك - at you,| تدور - revolving| أعينهم - their eyes| كالذي - like one who| يغشى - faints| عليه - faints| من - from| الموت - [the] death.| فإذا - But when| ذهب - departs| الخوف - the fear,| سلقوكم - they smite you| بألسنة - with tongues| حداد - sharp| أشحة - miserly| على - towards| الخير - the good.| أولئك - Those -| لم - not| يؤمنوا - they have believed,| فأحبط - so Allah made worthless| الله - so Allah made worthless| أعمالهم - their deeds.| وكان - And is| ذلك - that| على - for| الله - Allah| يسيرا - easy.| | ||||||
| 5 [36:66] | Walaw nashao latamasnaAAala aAAyunihim faistabaqoo alssiratafaanna yubsiroona | ولو نشاء لطمسنا على أعينهم فاستبقوا الصراط فأنى يبصرون وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَى أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُوا الصِّرَاطَ فَأَنَّى يُبْصِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولو - And if| نشاء - We willed,| لطمسنا - We (would have) surely obliterated| على - [over]| أعينهم - their eyes,| فاستبقوا - then they (would) race| الصراط - (to find) the path,| فأنى - then how| يبصرون - (could) they see?| | ||||||
| 6 [54:37] | Walaqad rawadoohu AAan dayfihifatamasna aAAyunahum fathooqoo AAathabeewanuthuri | ولقد راودوه عن ضيفه فطمسنا أعينهم فذوقوا عذابي ونذر وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيْفِهِ فَطَمَسْنَا أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| راودوه - they demanded from him| عن - they demanded from him| ضيفه - his guests,| فطمسنا - so We blinded| أعينهم - their eyes.| فذوقوا - "So taste| عذابي - My punishment| ونذر - and My warnings."| | ||||||
