[33:19] | Ashihhatan AAalaykum fa-itha jaaalkhawfu raaytahum yanthuroona ilayka tadooruaAAyunuhum kaallathee yughsha AAalayhi minaalmawti fa-itha thahaba alkhawfu salaqookumbi-alsinatin hidadin ashihhatan AAalaalkhayri ola-ika lam yu/minoo faahbata AllahuaAAmalahum wakana thalika AAala Allahiyaseeran
|  أشحة عليكم فإذا جاء الخوف رأيتهم ينظرون إليك تدور أعينهم كالذي يغشى عليه من الموت فإذا ذهب الخوف سلقوكم بألسنة حداد أشحة على الخير أولئك لم يؤمنوا فأحبط الله أعمالهم وكان ذلك على الله يسيرا
أَشِحَّةً عَلَيْكُمْ فَإِذَا جَاءَ الْخَوْفُ رَأَيْتَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ تَدُورُ أَعْيُنُهُمْ كَالَّذِي يُغْشَى عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ الْخَوْفُ سَلَقُوكُم بِأَلْسِنَةٍ حِدَادٍ أَشِحَّةً عَلَى الْخَيْرِ أُوْلَئِكَ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا فَأَحْبَطَ اللَّهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرًا |
| Words | |أشحة - Miserly| عليكم - towards you.| فإذا - But when| جاء - comes| الخوف - the fear,| رأيتهم - you see them| ينظرون - looking| إليك - at you,| تدور - revolving| أعينهم - their eyes| كالذي - like one who| يغشى - faints| عليه - faints| من - from| الموت - [the] death.| فإذا - But when| ذهب - departs| الخوف - the fear,| سلقوكم - they smite you| بألسنة - with tongues| حداد - sharp| أشحة - miserly| على - towards| الخير - the good.| أولئك - Those -| لم - not| يؤمنوا - they have believed,| فأحبط - so Allah made worthless| الله - so Allah made worthless| أعمالهم - their deeds.| وكان - And is| ذلك - that| على - for| الله - Allah| يسيرا - easy.| |

| በእናንተ ላይ (እርዳታን) የነፈጉ ሆነው እንጅ (የማይመጡትን)፣ ሽብሩም በመጣ ጊዜ እንደዚያ ከሞት (መከራ) በርሱ ላይ የሚሸፍን ዐደጋ እንደወደቀበት ዓይኖቻቸው ወዲያና ወዲህ የምትዞር ኾና ወዳንተ ሲመለከቱ ታያቸዋለህ፡፡ ሽብሩም በኼደ ጊዜ በገንዘብ ላይ የሚሳሱ ኾነው በተቡ ምላሶች ይነድፏችኋል፡፡ እነዚያ አላመኑም፡፡ ስለዚህ አላህ ሥራዎቻቸውን አበላሸ፡፡ ይህም በአላህ ላይ ገርነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { أشحة عليكم } بالمعاونة، جمع شحيح وهو حال من ضمير يأتون { فإذا جاء الخوف رأيتهم ينظرون إليك تدور أعينهم كالذي } كنظر أو كدوران الذي { يغشى عليه من الموت } أي سكراته { فإذا ذهب الخوف } وحيزت الغنائم { سلقوكم } آذوكم أو ضربوكم { بألسنة حداد أشحة على الخير } أي الغنيمة يطلبونها { أولئك لم يؤمنوا } حقيقة { فأحبط الله أعمالهم وكان ذلك } الإحباط { على الله يسيرا} بإرادته. |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা তোমাদের প্রতি কুন্ঠাবোধ করে। যখন বিপদ আসে, তখন আপনি দেখবেন মৃত্যুভয়ে অচেতন ব্যক্তির মত চোখ উল্টিয়ে তারা আপনার প্রতি তাকায়। অতঃপর যখন বিপদ টলে যায় তখন তারা ধন-সম্পদ লাভের আশায় তোমাদের সাথে বাকচাতুরীতে অবতীর্ণ হয়। তারা মুমিন নয়। তাই আল্লাহ তাদের কর্মসমূহ নিস্ফল করে দিয়েছেন। এটা আল্লাহর জন্যে সহজ। |
| Literal | Miser/stingy/careful on (to) you, so if the fear/fright came, you saw them looking to you, their eyes/sights turn/roll as who makes/becomes unconscious on him from the death/lifelessness (as who faints from fear of death), so if the fear/fright went away they harmed/stabbed you with sharp/hard tongues/speeches , miser/stingy/careful on the good , those they did not believe, so God wasted/invalidated their deeds, and that was on God easy/little . |
| Yusuf Ali | Covetous over you. Then when fear comes, thou wilt see them looking to thee, their eyes revolving, like (those of) one over whom hovers death: but when the fear is past, they will smite you with sharp tongues, covetous of goods. Such men have no faith, and so Allah has made their deeds of none effect: and that is easy for Allah. |
| Pickthal | Being sparing of their help to you (believers). But when the fear cometh, then thou (Muhammad) seest them regarding thee with rolling eyes like one who fainteth unto death. Then, when the fear departeth, they scald you with sharp tongues in their greed for wealth (from the spoil). Such have not believed. Therefor Allah maketh their deeds fruitless. And that is easy for Allah. |

When fear comes upon them, thou seest them looking at thee, their eyes rolling like one who swoons of death; but when the fear departs, they flay you with sharp tongues, being niggardly to possess the good things. Those have never believed; God has made their works to fail; and that is easy for God. |

Whenever they are in danger, they look towards you with their eyes rolling as though they were at the point of death, but when they are out of danger, they will come to greet you with their sharp tongues in greed for gain. Such people have no faith. Allah has made all their deeds null and void, and this is easy for Allah.[19] |
