[39:16] | Lahum min fawqihim thulalunmina alnnari wamin tahtihim thulalunthalika yukhawwifu Allahu bihi AAibadahu yaAAibadi faittaqooni
|  لهم من فوقهم ظلل من النار ومن تحتهم ظلل ذلك يخوف الله به عباده يا عباد فاتقون
لَهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ مِّنَ النَّارِ وَمِن تَحْتِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ ذَلِكَ يُخَوِّفُ اللَّهُ بِهِ عِبَادَهُ يَا عِبَادِ فَاتَّقُونِ |

| ለእነርሱ ከበላያቸው ከእሳት የኾኑ (ድርብርብ) ጥላዎች አልሏቸው፡፡ ከበታቻቸውም ጥላዎች አልሏቸው። ይህ አላህ ባሮቹን (እንዲጠነቀቁ) በእርሱ ያስፈራራበታል፡፡ «ባሮቼ ሆይ! ስለዚህ ፍሩኝ፡፡» |
| آل الجلالين | { لهم من فوقهم ظلل } طباق { من النار ومن تحتهم ظلل } من النار { ذلك يخوِّف الله به عباده } أي المؤمنين ليتقوه يدل عليه { يا عباد فاتقون } . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাদের জন্যে উপর দিক থেকে এবং নীচের দিক থেকে আগুনের মেঘমালা থাকবে। এ শাস্তি দ্বারা আল্লাহ তাঁর বান্দাদেরকে সতর্ক করেন যে, হে আমার বান্দাগণ, আমাকে ভয় কর। |
