[39:15] | FaoAAbudoo ma shi/tum mindoonihi qul inna alkhasireena allatheena khasirooanfusahum waahleehim yawma alqiyamati ala thalikahuwa alkhusranu almubeenu
|  فاعبدوا ما شئتم من دونه قل إن الخاسرين الذين خسروا أنفسهم وأهليهم يوم القيامة ألا ذلك هو الخسران المبين
فَاعْبُدُوا مَا شِئْتُم مِّن دُونِهِ قُلْ إِنَّ الْخَاسِرِينَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَلَا ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْخُسْرَانُ الْمُبِينُ |
| Words | |فاعبدوا - So worship| ما - what| شئتم - you will| من - besides Him."| دونه - besides Him."| قل - Say,| إن - "Indeed,| الخاسرين - the losers| الذين - (are) those who| خسروا - (will) lose| أنفسهم - themselves| وأهليهم - and their families| يوم - (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection.| ألا - Unquestionably,| ذلك - that -| هو - it| الخسران - (is) the loss| المبين - the clear."| |

| «ከእርሱ ሌላ የሻችሁትን ተገዙ፡፡ ከሳሪዎች ማለት እነዚያ በትንሣኤ ቀን ነፍሶቻቸውንና ቤተሰቦቻቸውን ያከሰሩ ናቸው፡፡ ንቁ! ይህ እርሱ ግልጽ ከሳራ ነው» በላቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فاعبدوا ما شئتم من دونه } غيره، فيه تهديد لهم وإيذان بأنهم لا يعبدون الله تعالى { قل إن الخاسرين الذين خسروا أنفسهم وأهليهم يوم القيامة } بتخليد الأنفس في النار وبعدم وصولهم إلى الحور المعدَّة لهم في الجنة لو آمنوا { ألا ذلك هو الخسران المبين } البيَّن . |
| Ihi, âabdet i wen ihwan, war Neppa". Ini: "imexsuôen d wid iwedôen iman nnsen, akked twacult nnsen, ass n tnekra". Ni$ d tagi ay d taxessaôt n ûûeê. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যার ইচ্ছা তার এবাদত কর। বলুন, কেয়ামতের দিন তারাই বেশী ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে, যারা নিজেদের ও পরিবারবর্গের তরফ থেকে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে। জেনে রাখ, এটাই সুস্পষ্ট ক্ষতি। |
| Literal | So worship what you wanted from other that Him, say: "That (E) the losers , those who lost their selves and their families/peoples (on) the Day of the Resurrection , is that not it is the loss , the clear/evident ?" |
| Yusuf Ali | "Serve ye what ye will besides him." Say: "Truly, those in loss are those who lose their own souls and their People on the Day of Judgment: Ah! that is indeed the (real and) evident Loss! |

The "loss of one's own self" signifies, I think, the destruction of one's true identity and uniqueness as a human being, which is described in the next clause as "the most obvious loss" that man may be made to suffer in the life to come.] |
