| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[21:8] | Wama jaAAalnahum jasadan laya/kuloona alttaAAama wama kanookhalideena
|  وما جعلناهم جسدا لا يأكلون الطعام وما كانوا خالدين
وَمَا جَعَلْنَاهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا خَالِدِينَ |
| Words | |وما - And not| جعلناهم - We made them| جسدا - bodies| لا - not| يأكلون - eating| الطعام - the food,| وما - and not| كانوا - they were| خالدين - immortals.| |

| ምግብን የማይበሉ አካልም አላደረግናቸውም፡፡ ዘውታሪዎችም አልነበሩም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وما جعلناهم } أي الرسل { جسداً } بمعنى أجساداً { لا يأكلون الطعام } بل يأكلونه { وما كانوا خالدين } في الدنيا . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আমি তাদেরকে এমন দেহ বিশিষ্ট করিনি যে, তারা খাদ্য ভক্ষণ করত না এবং তারা চিরস্থায়ীও ছিল না। |
| Literal | And We did not make/create them a body, they do not eat the food, and they were not immortal/eternal . |
