بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [21:65] | Thumma nukisoo AAala ruoosihim laqadAAalimta ma haola-i yantiqoona
| ثم نكسوا على رءوسهم لقد علمت ما هؤلاء ينطقون ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَؤُلَاءِ يَنطِقُونَ |
Words | |ثم - Then| نكسوا - they were turned| على - on| رءوسهم - their heads,| لقد - "Verily,| علمت - you know| ما - not| هؤلاء - these| ينطقون - (can) speak!"| |

| ከዚያም በራሶቻቸው ላይ ተገለበጡ፡፡ «እነዚህ የሚናገሩ አለመኾናቸውን በእርግጥ ዐውቀሃል፤» (አሉ)፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { ثم نكسوا } من الله { على رءُوسهم } أي ردوا إلى كفرهم وقالوا والله { لقد علمتَ ما هؤلاء ينطقون } أي فكيف تأمرنا بسؤالهم . |
| Sinna, bran i iqweôôa nnsen: "ni$ wigi, teéôiv, ur pmeslayen ara"! |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর তারা ঝুঁকে গেল মস্তক নত করে, তুমি তো জান যে, এরা কথা বলে না |
Literal | Then they were turned upside down on their heads/tops, "You had known those do not speak." |
Yusuf Ali | Then were they confounded with shame: (they said), "Thou knowest full well that these (idols) do not speak!" |
Pickthal | And they were utterly confounded, and they said: Well thou knowest that these speak not. |
Arberry | Then they were utterly put to confusion saying, 'Very well indeed thou knowest these do not speak.' |
Shakir | Then they were made to hang down their heads: Certainly you know that they do not speak. |
Sarwar | With their heads cast down they said, "Abraham, you know that idols do not speak. How then can you ask such a question?" |
