| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[17:31] | Wala taqtuloo awladakumkhashyata imlaqin nahnu narzuquhum wa-iyyakuminna qatlahum kana khit-an kabeeran
|  ولا تقتلوا أولادكم خشية إملاق نحن نرزقهم وإياكم إن قتلهم كان خطئا كبيرا
وَلاَ تَقْتُلُواْ أَوْلاَدَكُمْ خَشْيَةَ إِمْلاَقٍ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُهُمْ وَإِيَّاكُم إنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ كَانَ خِطْئاً كَبِيرًا |
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تقتلوا - kill| أولادكم - your children| خشية - (for) fear| إملاق - (of) poverty.| نحن - We| نرزقهم - (We) provide for them| وإياكم - and for you.| إن - Indeed,| قتلهم - their killing| كان - is| خطئا - a sin| كبيرا - great.| |

| ልጆቻችሁንም ድኽነትን ለመፍራት አትግደሉ፡፡ እኛ እንመግባቸዋለን፡፡ እናንተንም (እንመግባለን)፡፡ እነርሱን መግደል ታላቅ ኃጢኣት ነውና፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولا تقتلوا أولادكم } بالوأد { خشية } مخافة { إملاق } فقر { نحن نرزقهم وإياكم إن قتلهم كان خطأ } إثما { كبيرا } عظيما . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | দারিদ্রের ভয়ে তোমাদের সন্তানদেরকে হত্যা করো না। তাদেরকে এবং তোমাদেরকে আমিই জীবনোপকরণ দিয়ে থাকি। নিশ্চয় তাদেরকে হত্যা করা মারাত্নক অপরাধ। |
| Literal | And do not kill your children fearing poverty, We provide for them and you, that truly killing them was/is a great/large sin/crime/wrong . |
