بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [11:95] | Kaan lam yaghnaw feeha alabuAAdan limadyana kama baAAidat thamoodu
| كأن لم يغنوا فيها ألا بعدا لمدين كما بعدت ثمود كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْاْ فِيهَا أَلاَ بُعْدًا لِّمَدْيَنَ كَمَا بَعِدَتْ ثَمُودُ |
Words | |كأن - As if| لم - not| يغنوا - they (had) prospered| فيها - therein.| ألا - So,| بعدا - away| لمدين - with Madyan| كما - as| بعدت - was taken away| ثمود - the Thamud.| |

| በእርሷ ውስጥ እንዳልነበሩ ሆኑ፡፡ ንቁ! ሰሙድ (ከአላህ እዝነት) እንደ ራቀች መድየንም ትራቅ፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { كأن } مخففة: أي كأنهم { لم يغنوا } يقيموا { فيها ألا بُعدا لمدين كما بعدت ثمود } . |
| amzun ur rbiêen degsen. Day maççi: "akin Madian"! Am: "akin Tamud"? |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যেন তারা সেখানে কখনো বসবাসই করে নাই। জেনে রাখ, সামুদের প্রতি অভিসম্পাতের মত মাদইয়ানবাসীর উপরেও অভিসম্পাত। |
Literal | As though they did no inhabit/enrich in it, is not (a) destruction/death/curse to Madyan, as Thamud was destroyed/dead/cursed? |
Yusuf Ali | As if they had never dwelt and flourished there! Ah! Behold! How the Madyan were removed (from sight) as were removed the Thamud! |
