| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[11:102] | Wakathalika akhthu rabbika ithaakhatha alqura wahiya thalimatuninna akhthahu aleemun shadeedun
|  وكذلك أخذ ربك إذا أخذ القرى وهي ظالمة إن أخذه أليم شديد
وَكَذَلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَى وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ |
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| أخذ - (is) the seizure (of) your Lord| ربك - (is) the seizure (of) your Lord| إذا - when| أخذ - He seizes| القرى - the cities| وهي - while they| ظالمة - (are) doing wrong.| إن - Indeed,| أخذه - His seizure| أليم - (is) painful,| شديد - (and) severe.| |

| የጌታህም ቅጣት የከተሞችን ሰዎች እነሱ በዳዮች ሲሆኑ በቀጣቸው ጊዜ እንደዚህ ነው፡፡ ቅጣቱ በእርግጥ አሳማሚ ብርቱ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وكذلك } مثل ذلك الأخذ { أخذ ربك إذا أخذ القرى } أريد أهلها { وهي ظالمة } بالذنوب: أي فلا يغني عنهم من أخذه شيء { إن أخذه أليم شديد } روى الشيخان عن أبي موسى الأشعري قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (إن الله ليملي للظالم حتى إذا أخذه لم يفلته)، ثم قرأ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (وكذلك أخذ ربك) الآية . |
| Akka tiyta n Mass ik. Mi Iwwet timdinin i idensen, s tidep, tiyta S teqôeê, teqseê. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর তোমার পরওয়ারদেগার যখন কোন পাপপূর্ণ জনপদকে ধরেন, তখন এমনিভাবেই ধরে থাকেন। নিশ্চয় তাঁর পাকড়াও খুবই মারাত্নক, বড়ই কঠোর। |
| Literal | And as/like that (is) your Lord's punishing , if/when He took/punished the villages/urban cities, and (while) it is unjust/oppressive , that His punishing (is) strong (severe). |
| Yusuf Ali | Such is the chastisement of thy Lord when He chastises communities in the midst of their wrong: grievous, indeed, and severe is His chastisement. |
| Pickthal | Even thus is the grasp of thy Lord when He graspeth the townships while they are doing wrong. Lo! His grasp is painful, very strong. |
