| 1 [4:78] | Aynama takoonoo yudrikkumu almawtuwalaw kuntum fee buroojin mushayyadatin wa-in tusibhum hasanatunyaqooloo hathihi min AAindi Allahi wa-in tusibhumsayyi-atun yaqooloo hathihi min AAindika qul kullun minAAindi Allahi famali haola-i alqawmila yakadoona yafqahoona hadeethan |  أينما تكونوا يدرككم الموت ولو كنتم في بروج مشيدة وإن تصبهم حسنة يقولوا هذه من عند الله وإن تصبهم سيئة يقولوا هذه من عندك قل كل من عند الله فمال هؤلاء القوم لا يكادون يفقهون حديثاأَيْنَمَا تَكُونُواْ يُدْرِككُّمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِ اللّهِ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِكَ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ فَمَا لِهَـؤُلاَءِ الْقَوْمِ لاَ يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثًا | |||||
| Words | |أينما - Wherever| تكونوا - you be| يدرككم - will overtake you| الموت - [the] death| ولو - even if| كنتم - you are| في - in| بروج - towers| مشيدة - lofty.| وإن - And if| تصبهم - befalls them| حسنة - any good| يقولوا - they say,| هذه - "This| من - (is)| عند - from| الله - Allah."| وإن - And if| تصبهم - befalls them| سيئة - any evil| يقولوا - they say,| هذه - "This| من - (is)| عندك - (from) you."| قل - Say,| كل - "All| من - (is)| عند - from| الله - Allah."| فمال - So what (is wrong)| هؤلاء - (with) these| القوم - [the] people,| لا - not| يكادون - do they seem| يفقهون - (to) understand| حديثا - any statement.| | ||||||
| 2 [6:65] | Qul huwa alqadiru AAala anyabAAatha AAalaykum AAathaban min fawqikum aw min tahtiarjulikum aw yalbisakum shiyaAAan wayutheeqa baAAdakumba/sa baAAdin onthur kayfa nusarrifual-ayati laAAallahum yafqahoona | قل هو القادر على أن يبعث عليكم عذابا من فوقكم أو من تحت أرجلكم أو يلبسكم شيعا ويذيق بعضكم بأس بعض انظر كيف نصرف الآيات لعلهم يفقهون قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى أَن يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعاً وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُم بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ انظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| هو - "He| القادر - (is) All-Capable| على - [on]| أن - to| يبعث - send| عليكم - upon you| عذابا - punishment| من - from| فوقكم - above you| أو - or| من - from| تحت - beneath| أرجلكم - your feet| أو - or| يلبسكم - (to) confuse you| شيعا - (into) sects| ويذيق - and make (you) taste -| بعضكم - some of you| بأس - violence| بعض - (of) others."| انظر - See| كيف - how| نصرف - We explain| الآيات - the Signs| لعلهم - so that they may| يفقهون - understand.| | ||||||
| 3 [6:98] | Wahuwa allathee anshaakum min nafsinwahidatin famustaqarrun wamustawdaAAun qad fassalnaal-ayati liqawmin yafqahoona | وهو الذي أنشأكم من نفس واحدة فمستقر ومستودع قد فصلنا الآيات لقوم يفقهون وَهُوَ الَّذِيَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَفْقَهُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وهو - And He| الذي - (is) the One Who| أنشأكم - (has) produced you| من - from| نفس - a soul,| واحدة - single,| فمستقر - so (there is) a place of dwelling| ومستودع - and a resting place.| قد - Certainly,| فصلنا - We have made clear| الآيات - the Signs| لقوم - for a people| يفقهون - (who) understand.| | ||||||
| 4 [7:179] | Walaqad thara/na lijahannamakatheeran mina aljinni waal-insi lahum quloobun layafqahoona biha walahum aAAyunun la yubsiroonabiha walahum athanun la yasmaAAoona bihaola-ika kaal-anAAami bal hum adalluola-ika humu alghafiloona | ولقد ذرأنا لجهنم كثيرا من الجن والإنس لهم قلوب لا يفقهون بها ولهم أعين لا يبصرون بها ولهم آذان لا يسمعون بها أولئك كالأنعام بل هم أضل أولئك هم الغافلون وَلَقَدْ ذَرَأْنَا لِجَهَنَّمَ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لاَّ يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ لاَّ يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ آذَانٌ لاَّ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا أُوْلَـئِكَ كَالْأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ أُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| ذرأنا - We have created| لجهنم - for Hell| كثيرا - many| من - of| الجن - the jinn| والإنس - and men.| لهم - For them| قلوب - (are) hearts| لا - (but) not| يفقهون - they understand| بها - with them,| ولهم - and for them| أعين - (are) eyes| لا - (but) not| يبصرون - they see| بها - with them,| ولهم - and for them| آذان - (are) ears| لا - (but) not| يسمعون - they hear| بها - with them.| أولئك - Those| كالأنعام - (are) like cattle,| بل - nay| هم - they| أضل - (are) more astray.| أولئك - Those -| هم - they| الغافلون - (are) the heedless.| | ||||||
| 5 [8:65] | Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu harridialmu/mineena AAala alqitali in yakun minkumAAishroona sabiroona yaghliboo mi-atayni wa-in yakunminkum mi-atun yaghliboo alfan mina allatheena kafaroobi-annahum qawmun la yafqahoona | يا أيها النبي حرض المؤمنين على القتال إن يكن منكم عشرون صابرون يغلبوا مائتين وإن يكن منكم مائة يغلبوا ألفا من الذين كفروا بأنهم قوم لا يفقهون يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى الْقِتَالِ إِن يَكُن مِّنكُمْ عِشْرُونَ صَابِرُونَ يَغْلِبُواْ مِئَتَيْنِ وَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُم مِّئَةٌ يَغْلِبُواْ أَلْفًا مِّنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لاَّ يَفْقَهُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O| النبي - Prophet!| حرض - Urge| المؤمنين - the believers| على - to| القتال - [the] fight.| إن - If| يكن - (there) are| منكم - among you| عشرون - twenty| صابرون - steadfast| يغلبوا - they will overcome| مائتين - two hundred.| وإن - And if| يكن - (there) are| منكم - among you| مائة - a hundred,| يغلبوا - they will overcome| ألفا - a thousand| من - of| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| بأنهم - because they| قوم - (are) a people| لا - (who do) not| يفقهون - understand.| | ||||||
| 6 [9:81] | Fariha almukhallafoona bimaqAAadihimkhilafa rasooli Allahi wakarihoo an yujahidoobi-amwalihim waanfusihim fee sabeeli Allahi waqaloola tanfiroo fee alharri qul naru jahannamaashaddu harran law kanoo yafqahoona | فرح المخلفون بمقعدهم خلاف رسول الله وكرهوا أن يجاهدوا بأموالهم وأنفسهم في سبيل الله وقالوا لا تنفروا في الحر قل نار جهنم أشد حرا لو كانوا يفقهون فَرِحَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ بِمَقْعَدِهِمْ خِلاَفَ رَسُولِ اللّهِ وَكَرِهُواْ أَن يُجَاهِدُواْ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَقَالُواْ لاَ تَنفِرُواْ فِي الْحَرِّ قُلْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ أَشَدُّ حَرًّا لَّوْ كَانُوا يَفْقَهُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فرح - Rejoice| المخلفون - those who remained behind| بمقعدهم - in their staying| خلاف - behind| رسول - (the) Messenger| الله - (of) Allah,| وكرهوا - and they disliked| أن - to| يجاهدوا - strive| بأموالهم - with their wealth| وأنفسهم - and their lives| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah| وقالوا - and they said,| لا - "(Do) not| تنفروا - go forth| في - in| الحر - the heat."| قل - Say,| نار - "(The) Fire| جهنم - (of) Hell| أشد - (is) more intense| حرا - (in) heat."| لو - If (only)| كانوا - they could| يفقهون - understand.| | ||||||
| 7 [9:87] | Radoo bi-an yakoonoo maAAa alkhawalifiwatubiAAa AAala quloobihim fahum layafqahoona | رضوا بأن يكونوا مع الخوالف وطبع على قلوبهم فهم لا يفقهون رَضُواْ بِأَن يَكُونُواْ مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ وَطُبِعَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يَفْقَهُونَ | |||||
| Words | |رضوا - They (were) satisfied| بأن - to| يكونوا - be| مع - with| الخوالف - those who stay behind,| وطبع - and were sealed| على - [on]| قلوبهم - their hearts,| فهم - so they| لا - (do) not| يفقهون - understand.| | ||||||
| 8 [9:127] | Wa-itha ma onzilat sooratunnathara baAAduhum ila baAAdinhal yarakum min ahadin thumma insarafoo sarafaAllahu quloobahum bi-annahum qawmun la yafqahoona | وإذا ما أنزلت سورة نظر بعضهم إلى بعض هل يراكم من أحد ثم انصرفوا صرف الله قلوبهم بأنهم قوم لا يفقهون وَإِذَا مَا أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ نَّظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ هَلْ يَرَاكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ ثُمَّ انصَرَفُواْ صَرَفَ اللّهُ قُلُوبَهُم بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لاَّ يَفْقَهُون | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And whenever| ما - And whenever| أنزلت - is revealed| سورة - a Surah,| نظر - look| بعضهم - some of them| إلى - to| بعض - others,| هل - "Does| يراكم - see you| من - any| أحد - one?"| ثم - Then| انصرفوا - they turn away.| صرف - Allah has turned away| الله - Allah has turned away| قلوبهم - their hearts| بأنهم - because they| قوم - (are) a people| لا - not| يفقهون - they understand.| | ||||||
| 9 [18:93] | Hatta itha balaghabayna alssaddayni wajada min doonihima qawman layakadoona yafqahoona qawlan | حتى إذا بلغ بين السدين وجد من دونهما قوما لا يكادون يفقهون قولا حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ السَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًا لاَّ يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلاً | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until,| إذا - when| بلغ - he reached| بين - between| السدين - the two mountains,| وجد - he found| من - besides them| دونهما - besides them| قوما - a community,| لا - not| يكادون - who would almost| يفقهون - understand| قولا - (his) speech.| | ||||||
| 10 [48:15] | Sayaqoolu almukhallafoona itha intalaqtumila maghanima lita/khuthooha tharoonanattabiAAkum yureedoona an yubaddiloo kalama Allahiqul lan tattabiAAoona kathalikum qala Allahumin qablu fasayaqooloona bal tahsudoonana bal kanoola yafqahoona illa qaleelan | سيقول المخلفون إذا انطلقتم إلى مغانم لتأخذوها ذرونا نتبعكم يريدون أن يبدلوا كلام الله قل لن تتبعونا كذلكم قال الله من قبل فسيقولون بل تحسدوننا بل كانوا لا يفقهون إلا قليلا سَيَقُولُ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ إِذَا انطَلَقْتُمْ إِلَى مَغَانِمَ لِتَأْخُذُوهَا ذَرُونَا نَتَّبِعْكُمْ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُبَدِّلُوا كَلَامَ اللَّهِ قُل لَّن تَتَّبِعُونَا كَذَلِكُمْ قَالَ اللَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ فَسَيَقُولُونَ بَلْ تَحْسُدُونَنَا بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَفْقَهُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا | |||||
| Words | |سيقول - Will say| المخلفون - those who remained behind| إذا - when| انطلقتم - you set forth| إلى - towards| مغانم - (the) spoils of war| لتأخذوها - to take it,| ذرونا - "Allow us| نتبعكم - (to) follow you."| يريدون - They wish| أن - to| يبدلوا - change| كلام - (the) Words| الله - (of) Allah.| قل - Say,| لن - "Never| تتبعونا - will you follow us.| كذلكم - Thus| قال - Allah said| الله - Allah said| من - before."| قبل - before."| فسيقولون - Then they will say,| بل - "Nay,| تحسدوننا - you envy us."| بل - Nay,| كانوا - they were| لا - not| يفقهون - understanding| إلا - except| قليلا - a little.| | ||||||
| 11 [59:13] | Laantum ashaddu rahbatan fee sudoorihimmina Allahi thalika bi-annahum qawmun layafqahoona | لأنتم أشد رهبة في صدورهم من الله ذلك بأنهم قوم لا يفقهون لَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ رَهْبَةً فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنَ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ | |||||

| 12 [63:3] | Thalika bi-annahum amanoothumma kafaroo fatubiAAa AAala quloobihim fahum layafqahoona | ذلك بأنهم آمنوا ثم كفروا فطبع على قلوبهم فهم لا يفقهون ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا فَطُبِعَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ | |||||

| 13 [63:7] | Humu allatheena yaqooloona latunfiqoo AAala man AAinda rasooli Allahi hattayanfaddoo walillahi khaza-inu alssamawatiwaal-ardi walakinna almunafiqeena layafqahoona | هم الذين يقولون لا تنفقوا على من عند رسول الله حتى ينفضوا ولله خزائن السماوات والأرض ولكن المنافقين لا يفقهون هُمُ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ لَا تُنفِقُوا عَلَى مَنْ عِندَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يَنفَضُّوا وَلِلَّهِ خَزَائِنُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَكِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ | |||||
