| 1 [4:161] | Waakhthihimu alrribawaqad nuhoo AAanhu waaklihim amwala alnnasibialbatili waaAAtadna lilkafireenaminhum AAathaban aleeman |  وأخذهم الربا وقد نهوا عنه وأكلهم أموال الناس بالباطل وأعتدنا للكافرين منهم عذابا أليماوَأَخْذِهِمُ الرِّبَا وَقَدْ نُهُواْ عَنْهُ وَأَكْلِهِمْ أَمْوَالَ النَّاسِ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |وأخذهم - And for their taking| الربا - (of) [the] usury| وقد - while certainly| نهوا - they were forbidden| عنه - from it| وأكلهم - and (for) their consuming| أموال - wealth| الناس - (of) the people| بالباطل - wrongfully.| وأعتدنا - And We have prepared| للكافرين - for the disbelievers| منهم - among them| عذابا - a punishment| أليما - painful.| | ||||||
| 2 [6:28] | Bal bada lahum ma kanooyukhfoona min qablu walaw ruddoo laAAadoo limanuhoo AAanhu wa-innahum lakathiboona | بل بدا لهم ما كانوا يخفون من قبل ولو ردوا لعادوا لما نهوا عنه وإنهم لكاذبون بَلْ بَدَا لَهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يُخْفُونَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَوْ رُدُّواْ لَعَادُواْ لِمَا نُهُواْ عَنْهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ | |||||
| Words | |بل - Nay,| بدا - became manifest| لهم - for them| ما - what| كانوا - they used to| يخفون - conceal| من - from| قبل - before.| ولو - And if| ردوا - they were sent back| لعادوا - certainly they (would) return| لما - to what| نهوا - they were forbidden| عنه - from it,| وإنهم - and indeed they| لكاذبون - certainly are liars.| | ||||||
| 3 [7:166] | Falamma AAataw AAan ma nuhooAAanhu qulna lahum koonoo qiradatan khasi-eena | فلما عتوا عن ما نهوا عنه قلنا لهم كونوا قردة خاسئين فَلَمَّا عَتَوْاْ عَن مَّا نُهُواْ عَنْهُ قُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُواْ قِرَدَةً خَاسِئِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - So when| عتوا - they exceeded all bounds| عن - about| ما - what| نهوا - they were forbidden| عنه - from it,| قلنا - We said| لهم - to them,| كونوا - "Be| قردة - apes,| خاسئين - despised."| | ||||||
| 4 [58:8] | Alam tara ila allatheena nuhooAAani alnnajwa thumma yaAAoodoona lima nuhooAAanhu wayatanajawna bial-ithmi waalAAudwaniwamaAAsiyati alrrasooli wa-itha jaookahayyawka bima lam yuhayyika bihi Allahuwayaqooloona fee anfusihim lawla yuAAaththibunaAllahu bima naqoolu hasbuhum jahannamu yaslawnahafabi/sa almaseeru | ألم تر إلى الذين نهوا عن النجوى ثم يعودون لما نهوا عنه ويتناجون بالإثم والعدوان ومعصيت الرسول وإذا جاءوك حيوك بما لم يحيك به الله ويقولون في أنفسهم لولا يعذبنا الله بما نقول حسبهم جهنم يصلونها فبئس المصير أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ نُهُوا عَنِ النَّجْوَى ثُمَّ يَعُودُونَ لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَيَتَنَاجَوْنَ بِالْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَمَعْصِيَتِ الرَّسُولِ وَإِذَا جَاؤُوكَ حَيَّوْكَ بِمَا لَمْ يُحَيِّكَ بِهِ اللَّهُ وَيَقُولُونَ فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ لَوْلَا يُعَذِّبُنَا اللَّهُ بِمَا نَقُولُ حَسْبُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Do not| تر - you see| إلى - [to]| الذين - those who| نهوا - were forbidden| عن - from| النجوى - secret counsels,| ثم - then| يعودون - they return| لما - to what| نهوا - they were forbidden| عنه - from [it],| ويتناجون - and they hold secret counsels| بالإثم - for sin| والعدوان - and aggression| ومعصيت - and disobedience| الرسول - (to) the Messenger?| وإذا - And when| جاءوك - they come to you,| حيوك - they greet you| بما - with what| لم - not| يحيك - greets you| به - therewith| الله - Allah,| ويقولون - and they say| في - among| أنفسهم - themselves,| لولا - "Why (does) not| يعذبنا - Allah punish us| الله - Allah punish us| بما - for what| نقول - we say?"| حسبهم - Sufficient (for) them| جهنم - (is) Hell,| يصلونها - they will burn in it| فبئس - and worst is| المصير - the destination.| | ||||||
