| 1 [4:79] | Ma asabaka min hasanatinfamina Allahi wama asabaka min sayyi-atinfamin nafsika waarsalnaka lilnnasi rasoolanwakafa biAllahi shaheedan |  ما أصابك من حسنة فمن الله وما أصابك من سيئة فمن نفسك وأرسلناك للناس رسولا وكفى بالله شهيدامَّا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ اللّهِ وَمَا أَصَابَكَ مِن سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِن نَّفْسِكَ وَأَرْسَلْنَاكَ لِلنَّاسِ رَسُولاً وَكَفَى بِاللّهِ شَهِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |ما - What(ever)| أصابك - befalls you| من - of| حسنة - (the) good| فمن - (is) from| الله - Allah,| وما - and whatever| أصابك - befalls you| من - of| سيئة - (the) evil| فمن - (is) from| نفسك - yourself.| وأرسلناك - And We have sent you| للناس - for the people| رسولا - (as) a Messenger,| وكفى - and is sufficient| بالله - Allah| شهيدا - (as) a Witness.| | ||||||
| 2 [4:84] | Faqatil fee sabeeli Allahi latukallafu illa nafsaka waharridialmu/mineena AAasa Allahu an yakuffa ba/sa allatheenakafaroo waAllahu ashaddu ba/san waashaddu tankeelan | فقاتل في سبيل الله لا تكلف إلا نفسك وحرض المؤمنين عسى الله أن يكف بأس الذين كفروا والله أشد بأسا وأشد تنكيلا فَقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ لاَ تُكَلَّفُ إِلاَّ نَفْسَكَ وَحَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَسَى اللّهُ أَن يَكُفَّ بَأْسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَاللّهُ أَشَدُّ بَأْسًا وَأَشَدُّ تَنكِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |فقاتل - So fight| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah;| لا - not| تكلف - are you responsible| إلا - except| نفسك - (for) yourself.| وحرض - And encourage| المؤمنين - the believers,| عسى - perhaps| الله - Allah| أن - will| يكف - restrain| بأس - (the) might| الذين - (of) those who| كفروا - disbelieved.| والله - And Allah| أشد - (is) Stronger| بأسا - (in) Might| وأشد - and Stronger| تنكيلا - (in) punishment.| | ||||||
| 3 [5:116] | Wa-ith qala Allahu yaAAeesa ibna maryama aanta qulta lilnnasiittakhithoonee waommiya ilahayni min dooni Allahiqala subhanaka ma yakoonu lee an aqoola malaysa lee bihaqqin in kuntu qultuhu faqad AAalimtahutaAAlamu ma fee nafsee wala aAAlamu ma feenafsika innaka anta AAallamu alghuyoobi | وإذ قال الله يا عيسى ابن مريم أأنت قلت للناس اتخذوني وأمي إلهين من دون الله قال سبحانك ما يكون لي أن أقول ما ليس لي بحق إن كنت قلته فقد علمته تعلم ما في نفسي ولا أعلم ما في نفسك إنك أنت علام الغيوب وَإِذْ قَالَ اللّهُ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ أَأَنتَ قُلتَ لِلنَّاسِ اتَّخِذُونِي وَأُمِّيَ إِلَـهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِي أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِحَقٍّ إِن كُنتُ قُلْتُهُ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِي نَفْسِي وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ مَا فِي نَفْسِكَ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلاَّمُ الْغُيُوبِ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قال - said| الله - Allah,| يا - O| عيسى - "O Isa,| ابن - son| مريم - (of) Maryam!| أأنت - Did you| قلت - say| للناس - to the people,| اتخذوني - "Take me| وأمي - and my mother| إلهين - (as) two gods| من - from| دون - besides| الله - Allah?"| قال - He said,| سبحانك - "Glory be to You!| ما - Not| يكون - was| لي - for me| أن - that| أقول - I say| ما - what| ليس - not| لي - I| بحق - (had) right.| إن - If| كنت - I had| قلته - said it,| فقد - then surely| علمته - You would have known it.| تعلم - You know| ما - what| في - (is) in| نفسي - myself,| ولا - and not| أعلم - I know| ما - what| في - (is) in| نفسك - Yourself.| إنك - Indeed, You,| أنت - You| علام - (are) All-Knower| الغيوب - (of) the unseen.| | ||||||
| 4 [7:205] | Waothkur rabbaka fee nafsikatadarruAAan wakheefatan wadoona aljahri mina alqawli bialghuduwwiwaal-asali wala takun mina alghafileena | واذكر ربك في نفسك تضرعا وخيفة ودون الجهر من القول بالغدو والآصال ولا تكن من الغافلين وَاذْكُر رَّبَّكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ تَضَرُّعاً وَخِيفَةً وَدُونَ الْجَهْرِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ وَلاَ تَكُن مِّنَ الْغَافِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |واذكر - And remember| ربك - your Lord| في - in| نفسك - yourself| تضرعا - humbly| وخيفة - and (in) fear| ودون - and without| الجهر - the loudness| من - of| القول - [the] words,| بالغدو - in the mornings| والآصال - and (in) the evenings.| ولا - And (do) not| تكن - be| من - among| الغافلين - the heedless.| | ||||||
| 5 [18:6] | FalaAAallaka bakhiAAun nafsaka AAalaatharihim in lam yu/minoo bihatha alhadeethiasafan | فلعلك باخع نفسك على آثارهم إن لم يؤمنوا بهذا الحديث أسفا فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ عَلَى آثَارِهِمْ إِن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا | |||||
| Words | |فلعلك - Then perhaps you would (be)| باخع - the one who kills| نفسك - yourself| على - over| آثارهم - their footsteps,| إن - if| لم - not| يؤمنوا - they believe| بهذا - in this| الحديث - [the] narration,| أسفا - (in) grief.| | ||||||
| 6 [18:28] | Waisbir nafsaka maAAa allatheenayadAAoona rabbahum bialghadati waalAAashiyyiyureedoona wajhahu wala taAAdu AAaynaka AAanhumtureedu zeenata alhayati alddunya walatutiAA man aghfalna qalbahu AAan thikrinawaittabaAAa hawahu wakana amruhu furutan | واصبر نفسك مع الذين يدعون ربهم بالغداة والعشي يريدون وجهه ولا تعد عيناك عنهم تريد زينة الحياة الدنيا ولا تطع من أغفلنا قلبه عن ذكرنا واتبع هواه وكان أمره فرطا وَاصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ وَلاَ تَعْدُ عَيْنَاكَ عَنْهُمْ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلاَ تُطِعْ مَنْ أَغْفَلْنَا قَلْبَهُ عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَاتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ وَكَانَ أَمْرُهُ فُرُطًا | |||||
| Words | |واصبر - And be patient,| نفسك - yourself,| مع - with| الذين - those who| يدعون - call| ربهم - their Lord| بالغداة - in the morning| والعشي - and the evening| يريدون - desiring| وجهه - His Face.| ولا - And (let) not| تعد - pass beyond| عيناك - your eyes| عنهم - over them,| تريد - desiring| زينة - adornment| الحياة - (of) the life| الدنيا - (of) the world,| ولا - and (do) not| تطع - obey| من - whom| أغفلنا - We have made heedless| قلبه - his heart| عن - of| ذكرنا - Our remembrance,| واتبع - and follows| هواه - his desires| وكان - and is| أمره - his affair| فرطا - (in) excess.| | ||||||
| 7 [26:3] | LaAAallaka bakhiAAun nafsaka allayakoonoo mu/mineena | لعلك باخع نفسك ألا يكونوا مؤمنين لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |لعلك - Perhaps you| باخع - (would) kill| نفسك - yourself| ألا - that not| يكونوا - they become| مؤمنين - believers.| | ||||||
| 8 [33:37] | Wa-ith taqoolu lillatheeanAAama Allahu AAalayhi waanAAamta AAalayhi amsik AAalaykazawjaka waittaqi Allaha watukhfee fee nafsika maAllahu mubdeehi watakhsha alnnasa waAllahuahaqqu an takhshahu falamma qadazaydun minha wataran zawwajnakahalikay la yakoona AAala almu/mineena harajunfee azwaji adAAiya-ihim itha qadawminhunna wataran wakana amru Allahi mafAAoolan | وإذ تقول للذي أنعم الله عليه وأنعمت عليه أمسك عليك زوجك واتق الله وتخفي في نفسك ما الله مبديه وتخشى الناس والله أحق أن تخشاه فلما قضى زيد منها وطرا زوجناكها لكي لا يكون على المؤمنين حرج في أزواج أدعيائهم إذا قضوا منهن وطرا وكان أمر الله مفعولا وَإِذْ تَقُولُ لِلَّذِي أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ زَوْجَكَ وَاتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَتُخْفِي فِي نَفْسِكَ مَا اللَّهُ مُبْدِيهِ وَتَخْشَى النَّاسَ وَاللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخْشَاهُ فَلَمَّا قَضَى زَيْدٌ مِّنْهَا وَطَرًا زَوَّجْنَاكَهَا لِكَيْ لَا يَكُونَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ حَرَجٌ فِي أَزْوَاجِ أَدْعِيَائِهِمْ إِذَا قَضَوْا مِنْهُنَّ وَطَرًا وَكَانَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ مَفْعُولًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| تقول - you said| للذي - to the one,| أنعم - Allah bestowed favor| الله - Allah bestowed favor| عليه - on him| وأنعمت - and you bestowed favor| عليه - on him,| أمسك - "Keep| عليك - to yourself| زوجك - your wife| واتق - and fear| الله - Allah."| وتخفي - But you concealed| في - within| نفسك - yourself| ما - what| الله - Allah| مبديه - (was to) disclose.| وتخشى - And you fear| الناس - the people,| والله - while Allah| أحق - has more right| أن - that| تخشاه - you (should) fear Him.| فلما - So when| قضى - ended| زيد - Zaid| منها - from her| وطرا - necessary (formalities),| زوجناكها - We married her to you| لكي - so that| لا - not| يكون - there be| على - on| المؤمنين - the believers| حرج - any discomfort| في - concerning| أزواج - the wives| أدعيائهم - (of) their adopted sons| إذا - when| قضوا - they have ended| منهن - from them| وطرا - necessary (formalities).| وكان - And is| أمر - (the) Command| الله - (of) Allah| مفعولا - accomplished.| | ||||||
| 9 [35:8] | Afaman zuyyina lahu soo-o AAamalihi faraahuhasanan fa-inna Allaha yudillu man yashaowayahdee man yashao fala tathhab nafsukaAAalayhim hasaratin inna Allaha AAaleemunbima yasnaAAoona | أفمن زين له سوء عمله فرآه حسنا فإن الله يضل من يشاء ويهدي من يشاء فلا تذهب نفسك عليهم حسرات إن الله عليم بما يصنعون أَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ فَرَآهُ حَسَنًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ فَلَا تَذْهَبْ نَفْسُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسَرَاتٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أفمن - Then is (he) who -| زين - is made fair-seeming| له - to him| سوء - (the) evil| عمله - (of) his deed -| فرآه - so that he sees it| حسنا - (as) good?| فإن - For indeed,| الله - Allah| يضل - lets go astray| من - whom| يشاء - He wills| ويهدي - and guides| من - whom| يشاء - He wills.| فلا - So (let) not| تذهب - go out| نفسك - your soul| عليهم - for them| حسرات - (in) regrets.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| عليم - (is) All-Knower| بما - of what| يصنعون - they do.| | ||||||
