| 1 [3:157] | Wala-in qutiltum fee sabeeli Allahiaw muttum lamaghfiratun mina Allahi warahmatunkhayrun mimma yajmaAAoona |  ولئن قتلتم في سبيل الله أو متم لمغفرة من الله ورحمة خير مما يجمعونوَلَئِن قُتِلْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَوْ مُتُّمْ لَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَرَحْمَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| قتلتم - you are killed| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah| أو - or| متم - die[d] -| لمغفرة - certainly forgiveness| من - from| الله - Allah| ورحمة - and Mercy| خير - (are) better| مما - than what| يجمعون - they accumulate.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:158] | Wala-in muttum aw qutiltum la-ilaAllahi tuhsharoona | ولئن متم أو قتلتم لإلى الله تحشرون وَلَئِن مُّتُّمْ أَوْ قُتِلْتُمْ لَإِلَى اللهِ تُحْشَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| متم - you die| أو - or| قتلتم - are killed,| لإلى - surely to| الله - Allah| تحشرون - you will be gathered.| | ||||||
| 3 [23:35] | AyaAAidukum annakum itha mittumwakuntum turaban waAAithaman annakummukhrajoona | أيعدكم أنكم إذا متم وكنتم ترابا وعظاما أنكم مخرجون أَيَعِدُكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ إِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنتُمْ تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَنَّكُم مُّخْرَجُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أيعدكم - Does he promise you -| أنكم - that you| إذا - when| متم - you are dead| وكنتم - and you become| ترابا - dust| وعظاما - and bones| أنكم - that you| مخرجون - (will be) brought forth?| | ||||||
| 4 [61:8] | Yureedoona liyutfi-oo noora Allahibi-afwahihim waAllahu mutimmu noorihi walawkariha alkafiroona | يريدون ليطفئوا نور الله بأفواههم والله متم نوره ولو كره الكافرون يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِؤُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يريدون - They intend| ليطفئوا - to put out| نور - (the) light| الله - (of) Allah| بأفواههم - with their mouths,| والله - but Allah| متم - will perfect| نوره - His Light| ولو - although| كره - dislike| الكافرون - the disbelievers.| | ||||||
