| 1 [12:8] | Ith qaloo layoosufu waakhoohu ahabbuila abeena minna wanahnu AAusbatuninna abana lafee dalalin mubeenin |  إذ قالوا ليوسف وأخوه أحب إلى أبينا منا ونحن عصبة إن أبانا لفي ضلال مبينإِذْ قَالُواْ لَيُوسُفُ وَأَخُوهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَى أَبِينَا مِنَّا وَنَحْنُ عُصْبَةٌ إِنَّ أَبَانَا لَفِي ضَلاَلٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| قالوا - they said,| ليوسف - "Surely Yusuf| وأخوه - and his brother| أحب - (are) more beloved| إلى - to| أبينا - our father| منا - than we,| ونحن - while we| عصبة - (are) a group.| إن - Indeed,| أبانا - our father| لفي - (is) surely in| ضلال - an error| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 2 [12:21] | Waqala allathee ishtarahumin misra liimraatihi akrimee mathwahu AAasaan yanfaAAana aw nattakhithahu waladan wakathalikamakkanna liyoosufa fee al-ardi walinuAAallimahu minta/weeli al-ahadeethi waAllahu ghalibunAAala amrihi walakinna akthara alnnasila yaAAlamoona | وقال الذي اشتراه من مصر لامرأته أكرمي مثواه عسى أن ينفعنا أو نتخذه ولدا وكذلك مكنا ليوسف في الأرض ولنعلمه من تأويل الأحاديث والله غالب على أمره ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون وَقَالَ الَّذِي اشْتَرَاهُ مِن مِّصْرَ لاِمْرَأَتِهِ أَكْرِمِي مَثْوَاهُ عَسَى أَن يَنفَعَنَا أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُ وَلَدًا وَكَذَلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوسُفَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلِنُعَلِّمَهُ مِن تَأْوِيلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ وَاللّهُ غَالِبٌ عَلَى أَمْرِهِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| الذي - the one who| اشتراه - bought him| من - of| مصر - Egypt| لامرأته - to his wife,| أكرمي - "Make comfortable| مثواه - his stay.| عسى - Perhaps| أن - that| ينفعنا - (he) will benefit us| أو - or| نتخذه - we will take him| ولدا - (as) a son."| وكذلك - And thus| مكنا - We established| ليوسف - Yusuf| في - in| الأرض - the land| ولنعلمه - that We might teach him| من - (the) interpretation of| تأويل - (the) interpretation of| الأحاديث - the events.| والله - And Allah| غالب - (is) Predominant| على - over| أمره - His affairs,| ولكن - but| أكثر - most| الناس - (of) the people| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 3 [12:56] | Wakathalika makanna liyoosufafee al-ardi yatabawwao minha haythu yashaonuseebu birahmatina man nashao walanudeeAAu ajra almuhsineena | وكذلك مكنا ليوسف في الأرض يتبوأ منها حيث يشاء نصيب برحمتنا من نشاء ولا نضيع أجر المحسنين وَكَذَلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوسُفَ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَتَبَوَّأُ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ يَشَاءُ نُصِيبُ بِرَحْمَتِنَا مَن نَّشَاءُ وَلاَ نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| مكنا - We established| ليوسف - [to] Yusuf| في - in| الأرض - the land| يتبوأ - to settle| منها - therein| حيث - where ever| يشاء - he willed.| نصيب - We bestow| برحمتنا - Our Mercy| من - (on) whom| نشاء - We will.| ولا - And not| نضيع - We let go waste| أجر - (the) reward| المحسنين - (of) the good-doers.| | ||||||
| 4 [12:76] | Fabadaa bi-awAAiyatihim qabla wiAAa-iakheehi thumma istakhrajaha min wiAAa-i akheehi kathalikakidna liyoosufa ma kana liya/khuthaakhahu fee deeni almaliki illa an yashaa AllahunarfaAAu darajatin man nashao wafawqa kulli theeAAilmin AAaleemun | فبدأ بأوعيتهم قبل وعاء أخيه ثم استخرجها من وعاء أخيه كذلك كدنا ليوسف ما كان ليأخذ أخاه في دين الملك إلا أن يشاء الله نرفع درجات من نشاء وفوق كل ذي علم عليم فَبَدَأَ بِأَوْعِيَتِهِمْ قَبْلَ وِعَاءِ أَخِيهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَخْرَجَهَا مِن وِعَاءِ أَخِيهِ كَذَلِكَ كِدْنَا لِيُوسُفَ مَا كَانَ لِيَأْخُذَ أَخَاهُ فِي دِينِ الْمَلِكِ إِلاَّ أَن يَشَاءَ اللّهُ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مِّن نَّشَاءُ وَفَوْقَ كُلِّ ذِي عِلْمٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |فبدأ - So he began| بأوعيتهم - with their bags| قبل - before| وعاء - (the) bag| أخيه - (of) his brother;| ثم - then| استخرجها - he brought it out| من - from| وعاء - (the) bag| أخيه - (of) his brother.| كذلك - Thus| كدنا - (did) We plan| ليوسف - for Yusuf.| ما - He could not| كان - He could not| ليأخذ - take| أخاه - his brother| في - by| دين - the law| الملك - (of) the king,| إلا - except| أن - that| يشاء - Allah willed.| الله - Allah willed.| نرفع - We raise| درجات - (in) degrees| من - whom| نشاء - We will,| وفوق - but over| كل - every| ذي - possessor| علم - (of) knowledge| عليم - (is) the All-Knower.| | ||||||
