| 1 [2:211] | Sal banee isra-eela kam ataynahummin ayatin bayyinatin waman yubaddil niAAmata Allahimin baAAdi ma jaat-hu fa-inna Allahashadeedu alAAiqabi |  سل بني إسرائيل كم آتيناهم من آية بينة ومن يبدل نعمة الله من بعد ما جاءته فإن الله شديد العقابسَلْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَمْ آتَيْنَاهُم مِّنْ آيَةٍ بَيِّنَةٍ وَمَن يُبَدِّلْ نِعْمَةَ اللّهِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ | |||||
| Words | |سل - Ask| بني - (the) Children| إسرائيل - (of) Israel,| كم - how many| آتيناهم - We gave them| من - of| آية - (the) Sign(s)| بينة - clear.| ومن - And whoever| يبدل - changes| نعمة - Favor| الله - (of) Allah| من - from| بعد - after| ما - [what]| جاءته - it (has) come to him -| فإن - then indeed,| الله - Allah| شديد - (is) severe| العقاب - in [the] chastising.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:249] | Falamma fasala talootubialjunoodi qala inna Allaha mubtaleekumbinaharin faman shariba minhu falaysa minnee waman lam yatAAamhufa-innahu minnee illa mani ightarafa ghurfatan biyadihifashariboo minhu illa qaleelan minhum falamma jawazahuhuwa waallatheena amanoo maAAahu qaloola taqata lana alyawma bijalootawajunoodihi qala allatheena yathunnoonaannahum mulaqoo Allahi kam min fi-atin qaleelatinghalabat fi-atan katheeratan bi-ithni Allahi waAllahumaAAa alssabireena | فلما فصل طالوت بالجنود قال إن الله مبتليكم بنهر فمن شرب منه فليس مني ومن لم يطعمه فإنه مني إلا من اغترف غرفة بيده فشربوا منه إلا قليلا منهم فلما جاوزه هو والذين آمنوا معه قالوا لا طاقة لنا اليوم بجالوت وجنوده قال الذين يظنون أنهم ملاقو الله كم من فئة قليلة غلبت فئة كثيرة بإذن الله والله مع الصابرين فَلَمَّا فَصَلَ طَالُوتُ بِالْجُنُودِ قَالَ إِنَّ اللّهَ مُبْتَلِيكُم بِنَهَرٍ فَمَن شَرِبَ مِنْهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَمَن لَّمْ يَطْعَمْهُ فَإِنَّهُ مِنِّي إِلاَّ مَنِ اغْتَرَفَ غُرْفَةً بِيَدِهِ فَشَرِبُواْ مِنْهُ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً مِّنْهُمْ فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَهُ هُوَ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مَعَهُ قَالُواْ لاَ طَاقَةَ لَنَا الْيَوْمَ بِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِ قَالَ الَّذِينَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُم مُّلاَقُو اللّهِ كَم مِّن فِئَةٍ قَلِيلَةٍ غَلَبَتْ فِئَةً كَثِيرَةً بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - Then when| فصل - set out| طالوت - Talut| بالجنود - with the forces| قال - he said,| إن - "Indeed,| الله - Allah| مبتليكم - will test you| بنهر - with a river.| فمن - So whoever| شرب - drinks| منه - from it| فليس - then he is not| مني - from me,| ومن - and whoever| لم - (does) not| يطعمه - taste it| فإنه - then indeed, he| مني - (is) from me| إلا - except| من - whoever| اغترف - takes| غرفة - (in the) hollow| بيده - (of) his hand."| فشربوا - Then they drank| منه - from it| إلا - except| قليلا - a few| منهم - of them.| فلما - Then when| جاوزه - he crossed it,| هو - he| والذين - and those who| آمنوا - believed| معه - with him,| قالوا - they said,| لا - "No| طاقة - strength| لنا - for us| اليوم - today| بجالوت - against Jalut| وجنوده - and his troops."| قال - Said| الذين - those who| يظنون - were certain| أنهم - that they| ملاقو - (would) meet| الله - Allah,| كم - "How many| من - of| فئة - a company| قليلة - small| غلبت - overcame| فئة - a company| كثيرة - large| بإذن - by (the) permission| الله - (of) Allah.| والله - And Allah| مع - (is) with| الصابرين - the patient ones."| | ||||||
| 3 [2:259] | Aw kaallathee marra AAalaqaryatin wahiya khawiyatun AAala AAurooshihaqala anna yuhyee hathihi AllahubaAAda mawtiha faamatahu Allahu mi-ata AAaminthumma baAAathahu qala kam labithta qala labithtuyawman aw baAAda yawmin qala bal labithta mi-ata AAaminfaonthur ila taAAamikawasharabika lam yatasannah waonthurila himarika walinajAAalaka ayatan lilnnasiwaonthur ila alAAithamikayfa nunshizuha thumma naksooha lahmanfalamma tabayyana lahu qala aAAlamu anna AllahaAAala kulli shay-in qadeerun | أو كالذي مر على قرية وهي خاوية على عروشها قال أنى يحيي هذه الله بعد موتها فأماته الله مائة عام ثم بعثه قال كم لبثت قال لبثت يوما أو بعض يوم قال بل لبثت مائة عام فانظر إلى طعامك وشرابك لم يتسنه وانظر إلى حمارك ولنجعلك آية للناس وانظر إلى العظام كيف ننشزها ثم نكسوها لحما فلما تبين له قال أعلم أن الله على كل شيء قدير أَوْ كَالَّذِي مَرَّ عَلَى قَرْيَةٍ وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَى عُرُوشِهَا قَالَ أَنَّىَ يُحْيِـي هَـذِهِ اللّهُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا فَأَمَاتَهُ اللّهُ مِئَةَ عَامٍ ثُمَّ بَعَثَهُ قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتَ قَالَ لَبِثْتُ يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ قَالَ بَل لَّبِثْتَ مِئَةَ عَامٍ فَانظُرْ إِلَى طَعَامِكَ وَشَرَابِكَ لَمْ يَتَسَنَّهْ وَانظُرْ إِلَى حِمَارِكَ وَلِنَجْعَلَكَ آيَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَانظُرْ إِلَى العِظَامِ كَيْفَ نُنشِزُهَا ثُمَّ نَكْسُوهَا لَحْمًا فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ قَالَ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |أو - Or| كالذي - like the one who| مر - passed| على - by| قرية - a township,| وهي - and it| خاوية - (had) overturned| على - on| عروشها - its roofs.| قال - He said,| أنى - "How| يحيي - (will) bring to life| هذه - this (town)| الله - Allah| بعد - after| موتها - its death?"| فأماته - Then he was made to die| الله - (by) Allah| مائة - (for) a hundred| عام - year(s),| ثم - then| بعثه - He raised him.| قال - He said,| كم - "How long| لبثت - (have) you remained?"| قال - He said,| لبثت - "I remained| يوما - (for) a day| أو - or| بعض - a part| يوم - (of) a day."| قال - He said,| بل - "Nay,| لبثت - you (have) remained| مائة - one hundred| عام - year(s).| فانظر - Then look| إلى - at| طعامك - your food| وشرابك - and your drink,| لم - (they did) not| يتسنه - change with time,| وانظر - and look| إلى - at| حمارك - your donkey,| ولنجعلك - and We will make you| آية - a sign| للناس - for the people.| وانظر - And look| إلى - at| العظام - the bones| كيف - how| ننشزها - We raise them,| ثم - then| نكسوها - We cover them| لحما - (with) flesh."| فلما - Then when| تبين - became clear| له - to him,| قال - he said,| أعلم - "I know| أن - that| الله - Allah| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful."| | ||||||
| 4 [6:6] | Alam yaraw kam ahlakna min qablihimmin qarnin makkannahum fee al-ardi ma lamnumakkin lakum waarsalna alssamaa AAalayhimmidraran wajaAAalna al-anhara tajree min tahtihimfaahlaknahum bithunoobihim waansha/na minbaAAdihim qarnan akhareena | ألم يروا كم أهلكنا من قبلهم من قرن مكناهم في الأرض ما لم نمكن لكم وأرسلنا السماء عليهم مدرارا وجعلنا الأنهار تجري من تحتهم فأهلكناهم بذنوبهم وأنشأنا من بعدهم قرنا آخرين أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا الْأَنْهَارَ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنْشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ | |||||

| 5 [18:19] | Wakathalika baAAathnahumliyatasaaloo baynahum qala qa-ilun minhumkam labithtum qaloo labithna yawman aw baAAdayawmin qaloo rabbukum aAAlamu bima labithtum faibAAathooahadakum biwariqikum hathihi ila almadeenatifalyanthur ayyuha azka taAAamanfalya/tikum birizqin minhu walyatalattaf walayushAAiranna bikum ahadan | وكذلك بعثناهم ليتساءلوا بينهم قال قائل منهم كم لبثتم قالوا لبثنا يوما أو بعض يوم قالوا ربكم أعلم بما لبثتم فابعثوا أحدكم بورقكم هذه إلى المدينة فلينظر أيها أزكى طعاما فليأتكم برزق منه وليتلطف ولا يشعرن بكم أحدا وَكَذَلِكَ بَعَثْنَاهُمْ لِيَتَسَاءَلُوا بَيْنَهُمْ قَالَ قَائِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ قَالُوا رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثْتُمْ فَابْعَثُوا أَحَدَكُم بِوَرِقِكُمْ هَذِهِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَلْيَنظُرْ أَيُّهَا أَزْكَى طَعَامًا فَلْيَأْتِكُم بِرِزْقٍ مِّنْهُ وَلْيَتَلَطَّفْ وَلاَ يُشْعِرَنَّ بِكُمْ أَحَدًا | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And similarly,| بعثناهم - We raised them| ليتساءلوا - that they might question| بينهم - among them.| قال - Said| قائل - a speaker| منهم - among them,| كم - "How long| لبثتم - have you remained?"| قالوا - They said,| لبثنا - "We have remained| يوما - a day| أو - or| بعض - a part| يوم - (of) a day."| قالوا - They said,| ربكم - "Your Lord| أعلم - knows best| بما - how long| لبثتم - you have remained.| فابعثوا - So send| أحدكم - one of you| بورقكم - with this silver coin of yours| هذه - with this silver coin of yours| إلى - to| المدينة - the city,| فلينظر - and let him see| أيها - which is| أزكى - the purest| طعاما - food,| فليأتكم - and let him bring to you| برزق - provision| منه - from it,| وليتلطف - and let him be cautious.| ولا - And let not be aware| يشعرن - And let not be aware| بكم - about you| أحدا - anyone."| | ||||||
| 6 [20:128] | Afalam yahdi lahum kam ahlaknaqablahum mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna feethalika laayatin li-olee alnnuha | أفلم يهد لهم كم أهلكنا قبلهم من القرون يمشون في مساكنهم إن في ذلك لآيات لأولي النهى أَفَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي النُّهَى | |||||

| 7 [23:112] | Qala kam labithtum fee al-ardiAAadada sineena | قال كم لبثتم في الأرض عدد سنين قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He will say,| كم - "How long| لبثتم - did you remain| في - in| الأرض - the earth,| عدد - (in) number| سنين - (of) years?"| | ||||||
| 8 [26:7] | Awa lam yaraw ila al-ardi kamanbatna feeha min kulli zawjin kareemin | أولم يروا إلى الأرض كم أنبتنا فيها من كل زوج كريم أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ | |||||

| 9 [32:26] | Awa lam yahdi lahum kam ahlakna minqablihim mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna feethalika laayatin afala yasmaAAoona | أولم يهد لهم كم أهلكنا من قبلهم من القرون يمشون في مساكنهم إن في ذلك لآيات أفلا يسمعون أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ أَفَلَا يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||
