| 1 [2:21] | Ya ayyuha alnnasuoAAbudoo rabbakumu allathee khalaqakum waallatheenamin qablikum laAAallakum tattaqoona |  يا أيها الناس اعبدوا ربكم الذي خلقكم والذين من قبلكم لعلكم تتقونيَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعْبُدُواْ رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O| الناس - mankind!| اعبدوا - worship| ربكم - your Lord,| الذي - the One Who| خلقكم - created you| والذين - and those| من - from| قبلكم - before you,| لعلكم - so that you may| تتقون - become righteous.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:183] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanookutiba AAalaykumu alssiyamu kamakutiba AAala allatheena min qablikum laAAallakumtattaqoona | يا أيها الذين آمنوا كتب عليكم الصيام كما كتب على الذين من قبلكم لعلكم تتقون يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ | |||||

| 3 [2:214] | Am hasibtum an tadkhuloo aljannatawalamma ya/tikum mathalu allatheena khalaw minqablikum massat-humu alba/sao waalddarraowazulziloo hatta yaqoola alrrasoolu waallatheenaamanoo maAAahu mata nasru Allahi alainna nasra Allahi qareebun | أم حسبتم أن تدخلوا الجنة ولما يأتكم مثل الذين خلوا من قبلكم مستهم البأساء والضراء وزلزلوا حتى يقول الرسول والذين آمنوا معه متى نصر الله ألا إن نصر الله قريب أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُواْ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُم مَّثَلُ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْاْ مِن قَبْلِكُم مَّسَّتْهُمُ الْبَأْسَاءُ وَالضَّرَّاءُ وَزُلْزِلُواْ حَتَّى يَقُولَ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مَعَهُ مَتَى نَصْرُ اللّهِ أَلا إِنَّ نَصْرَ اللّهِ قَرِيبٌ | |||||
| Words | |أم - Or| حسبتم - (do) you think| أن - that| تدخلوا - you will enter| الجنة - Paradise| ولما - while not| يأتكم - (has) come to you| مثل - like (came to)| الذين - those who| خلوا - passed away| من - from| قبلكم - before you?| مستهم - Touched them| البأساء - [the] adversity| والضراء - and [the] hardship,| وزلزلوا - and they were shaken| حتى - until| يقول - said| الرسول - the Messenger| والذين - and those who| آمنوا - believed| معه - with him,| متى - "When| نصر - [will] (the) help| الله - (of) Allah (come)| ألا - Unquestionably,| إن - [Indeed]| نصر - help| الله - (of) Allah| قريب - (is) near.| | ||||||
| 4 [3:137] | Qad khalat min qablikum sunanun faseeroofee al-ardi faonthuroo kayfa kanaAAaqibatu almukaththibeena | قد خلت من قبلكم سنن فسيروا في الأرض فانظروا كيف كان عاقبة المكذبين قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ سُنَنٌ فَسِيرُواْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ | |||||

| 5 [3:186] | Latublawunna fee amwalikumwaanfusikum walatasmaAAunna mina allatheena ootoo alkitabamin qablikum wamina allatheena ashrakoo athankatheeran wa-in tasbiroo watattaqoo fa-inna thalikamin AAazmi al-omoori | لتبلون في أموالكم وأنفسكم ولتسمعن من الذين أوتوا الكتاب من قبلكم ومن الذين أشركوا أذى كثيرا وإن تصبروا وتتقوا فإن ذلك من عزم الأمور لَتُبْلَوُنَّ فِي أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ وَلَتَسْمَعُنَّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ أَذًى كَثِيرًا وَإِن تَصْبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الْأُمُورِ | |||||
| Words | |لتبلون - You will certainly be tested| في - in| أموالكم - your wealth| وأنفسكم - and yourselves.| ولتسمعن - And you will certainly hear| من - from| الذين - those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| من - from| قبلكم - before you| ومن - and from| الذين - those who| أشركوا - associate partners with Allah -| أذى - hurtful things| كثيرا - many,| وإن - and if| تصبروا - you are patient| وتتقوا - and fear (Allah)| فإن - then indeed,| ذلك - that| من - (is) of| عزم - the matters| الأمور - (of) determination.| | ||||||
| 6 [4:26] | Yureedu Allahu liyubayyina lakumwayahdiyakum sunana allatheena min qablikum wayatoobaAAalaykum waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun | يريد الله ليبين لكم ويهديكم سنن الذين من قبلكم ويتوب عليكم والله عليم حكيم يُرِيدُ اللّهُ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ سُنَنَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَيَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاللّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |يريد - Wishes| الله - Allah| ليبين - to make clear| لكم - to you| ويهديكم - and to guide you| سنن - (to) ways| الذين - (of) those| من - from| قبلكم - before you| ويتوب - and (to) accept repentance| عليكم - from you.| والله - And Allah| عليم - (is) All-Knowing,| حكيم - All-Wise.| | ||||||
| 7 [4:131] | Walillahi ma fee alssamawatiwama fee al-ardi walaqad wassaynaallatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum wa-iyyakumani ittaqoo Allaha wa-in takfuroo fa-inna lillahi mafee alssamawati wama fee al-ardiwakana Allahu ghaniyyan hameedan | ولله ما في السماوات وما في الأرض ولقد وصينا الذين أوتوا الكتاب من قبلكم وإياكم أن اتقوا الله وإن تكفروا فإن لله ما في السماوات وما في الأرض وكان الله غنيا حميدا وَلِلّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ أَنِ اتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَإِن تَكْفُرُواْ فَإِنَّ لِلّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَكَانَ اللّهُ غَنِيًّا حَمِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |ولله - And for Allah| ما - (is) whatever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| وما - and whatever| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth.| ولقد - And surely| وصينا - We have instructed| الذين - those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| من - from| قبلكم - before you| وإياكم - and yourselves| أن - that| اتقوا - you fear| الله - Allah.| وإن - But if| تكفروا - you disbelieve -| فإن - then indeed| لله - for Allah| ما - (is) whatever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| وما - and whatever| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth.| وكان - And is| الله - Allah| غنيا - Free of need,| حميدا - Praiseworthy.| | ||||||
| 8 [5:5] | Alyawma ohilla lakumu alttayyibatuwataAAamu allatheena ootoo alkitaba hillunlakum wataAAamukum hillun lahum waalmuhsanatumina almu/minati waalmuhsanatu minaallatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum itha ataytumoohunnaojoorahunna muhsineena ghayra musafiheenawala muttakhithee akhdanin waman yakfur bial-eemanifaqad habita AAamaluhu wahuwa fee al-akhiratimina alkhasireena | اليوم أحل لكم الطيبات وطعام الذين أوتوا الكتاب حل لكم وطعامكم حل لهم والمحصنات من المؤمنات والمحصنات من الذين أوتوا الكتاب من قبلكم إذا آتيتموهن أجورهن محصنين غير مسافحين ولا متخذي أخدان ومن يكفر بالإيمان فقد حبط عمله وهو في الآخرة من الخاسرين الْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَّكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَّهُمْ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ إِذَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِينَ وَلاَ مُتَّخِذِي أَخْدَانٍ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِالْإِيمَانِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |اليوم - This day| أحل - are made lawful| لكم - for you| الطيبات - the good things;| وطعام - and (the) food| الذين - (of) those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| حل - (is) lawful| لكم - for you,| وطعامكم - and your food| حل - (is) lawful| لهم - for them.| والمحصنات - And the chaste women| من - from| المؤمنات - the believers| والمحصنات - and the chaste women| من - from| الذين - those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| من - from| قبلكم - before you,| إذا - when| آتيتموهن - you have given them| أجورهن - their bridal due,| محصنين - being chaste| غير - not| مسافحين - being lewd| ولا - and not| متخذي - ones (who are) taking| أخدان - secret lovers.| ومن - And whoever| يكفر - denies| بالإيمان - the faith -| فقد - then surely| حبط - (are) wasted| عمله - his deeds| وهو - and he,| في - in| الآخرة - the Hereafter,| من - (will be) among| الخاسرين - the losers.| | ||||||
| 9 [5:57] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tattakhithoo allatheena ittakhathoodeenakum huzuwan walaAAiban mina allatheena ootoo alkitabamin qablikum waalkuffara awliyaa waittaqooAllaha in kuntum mu/mineena | يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تتخذوا الذين اتخذوا دينكم هزوا ولعبا من الذين أوتوا الكتاب من قبلكم والكفار أولياء واتقوا الله إن كنتم مؤمنين يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُواْ دِينَكُمْ هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَالْكُفَّارَ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||

| 10 [5:102] | Qad saalaha qawmun min qablikumthumma asbahoo biha kafireena | قد سألها قوم من قبلكم ثم أصبحوا بها كافرين قَدْ سَأَلَهَا قَوْمٌ مِّن قَبْلِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحُواْ بِهَا كَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قد - Indeed,| سألها - asked them| قوم - a people| من - from| قبلكم - before you,| ثم - then| أصبحوا - they became| بها - thereby| كافرين - disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 11 [7:38] | Qala odkhuloo fee omamin qad khalatmin qablikum mina aljinni waal-insi fee alnnarikullama dakhalat ommatun laAAanat okhtaha hattaitha iddarakoo feeha jameeAAan qalatokhrahum li-oolahum rabbana haola-iadalloona faatihim AAathaban diAAfanmina alnnari qala likullin diAAfunwalakin la taAAlamoona | قال ادخلوا في أمم قد خلت من قبلكم من الجن والإنس في النار كلما دخلت أمة لعنت أختها حتى إذا اداركوا فيها جميعا قالت أخراهم لأولاهم ربنا هؤلاء أضلونا فآتهم عذابا ضعفا من النار قال لكل ضعف ولكن لا تعلمون قَالَ ادْخُلُواْ فِي أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُم مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ فِي النَّارِ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَتْ أُمَّةٌ لَّعَنَتْ أُخْتَهَا حَتَّى إِذَا ادَّارَكُواْ فِيهَا جَمِيعًا قَالَتْ أُخْرَاهُمْ لِأُولاَهُمْ رَبَّنَا هَـؤُلاَءِ أَضَلُّونَا فَآتِهِمْ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا مِّنَ النَّارِ قَالَ لِكُلٍّ ضِعْفٌ وَلَـكِن لاَّ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He (will) say,| ادخلوا - "Enter| في - among| أمم - (the) nations| قد - (who)| خلت - passed away| من - from| قبلكم - before you| من - of| الجن - the jinn| والإنس - and the men| في - in| النار - the Fire."| كلما - Every time| دخلت - entered| أمة - a nation| لعنت - it cursed| أختها - its sister (nation)| حتى - until| إذا - when| اداركوا - they had overtaken one another| فيها - in it| جميعا - all,| قالت - (will) say| أخراهم - (the) last of them| لأولاهم - about the first of them,| ربنا - "Our Lord,| هؤلاء - these| أضلونا - misled us| فآتهم - so give them| عذابا - punishment,| ضعفا - double,| من - of| النار - the Fire."| قال - He (will) say,| لكل - "For each| ضعف - (is) a double| ولكن - [and] but| لا - not| تعلمون - you know."| | ||||||
| 12 [9:69] | Kaallatheena min qablikum kanooashadda minkum quwwatan waakthara amwalan waawladanfaistamtaAAoo bikhalaqihim faistamtaAAtumbikhalaqikum kama istamtaAAa allatheena minqablikum bikhalaqihim wakhudtum kaallatheekhadoo ola-ika habitat aAAmaluhumfee alddunya waal-akhirati waola-ikahumu alkhasiroona | كالذين من قبلكم كانوا أشد منكم قوة وأكثر أموالا وأولادا فاستمتعوا بخلاقهم فاستمتعتم بخلاقكم كما استمتع الذين من قبلكم بخلاقهم وخضتم كالذي خاضوا أولئك حبطت أعمالهم في الدنيا والآخرة وأولئك هم الخاسرون كَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ كَانُواْ أَشَدَّ مِنكُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرَ أَمْوَالاً وَأَوْلاَدًا فَاسْتَمْتَعُواْ بِخَلاَقِهِمْ فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِخَلاَقِكُمْ كَمَا اسْتَمْتَعَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ بِخَلاَقِهِمْ وَخُضْتُمْ كَالَّذِي خَاضُواْ أُوْلَـئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |كالذين - Like those| من - before you| قبلكم - before you| كانوا - they were| أشد - mightier| منكم - than you| قوة - (in) strength,| وأكثر - and more abundant| أموالا - (in) wealth| وأولادا - and children.| فاستمتعوا - So they enjoyed| بخلاقهم - their portion,| فاستمتعتم - and you have enjoyed| بخلاقكم - your portion| كما - like| استمتع - enjoyed| الذين - those| من - before you| قبلكم - before you| بخلاقهم - their portion,| وخضتم - and you indulge| كالذي - like the one who| خاضوا - indulges (in idle talk).| أولئك - Those,| حبطت - worthless,| أعمالهم - (are) their deeds| في - in| الدنيا - the world| والآخرة - and (in) the Hereafter.| وأولئك - And those,| هم - they| الخاسرون - (are) the losers.| | ||||||
| 13 [10:13] | Walaqad ahlakna alquroona minqablikum lamma thalamoo wajaat-humrusuluhum bialbayyinati wama kanooliyu/minoo kathalika najzee alqawma almujrimeena | ولقد أهلكنا القرون من قبلكم لما ظلموا وجاءتهم رسلهم بالبينات وما كانوا ليؤمنوا كذلك نجزي القوم المجرمين وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُواْ وَجَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُؤْمِنُواْ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily| أهلكنا - We destroyed| القرون - the generations| من - before you| قبلكم - before you| لما - when| ظلموا - they wronged,| وجاءتهم - and came to them| رسلهم - their Messengers| بالبينات - with clear proofs,| وما - but not| كانوا - they were| ليؤمنوا - to believe.| كذلك - Thus| نجزي - We recompense| القوم - the people| المجرمين - (who are) criminals.| | ||||||
| 14 [11:116] | Falawla kana mina alquroonimin qablikum oloo baqiyyatin yanhawna AAani alfasadi feeal-ardi illa qaleelan mimman anjayna minhumwaittabaAAa allatheena thalamoo maotrifoo feehi wakanoo mujrimeena | فلولا كان من القرون من قبلكم أولو بقية ينهون عن الفساد في الأرض إلا قليلا ممن أنجينا منهم واتبع الذين ظلموا ما أترفوا فيه وكانوا مجرمين فَلَوْلاَ كَانَ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ أُوْلُواْ بَقِيَّةٍ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْفَسَادِ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً مِّمَّنْ أَنجَيْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَاتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مَا أُتْرِفُواْ فِيهِ وَكَانُواْ مُجْرِمِينَ | |||||

| 15 [14:9] | Alam ya/tikum nabao allatheena minqablikum qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waallatheenamin baAAdihim la yaAAlamuhum illa Allahu jaat-humrusuluhum bialbayyinati faraddoo aydiyahum fee afwahihimwaqaloo inna kafarna bima orsiltumbihi wa-inna lafee shakkin mimma tadAAoonanailayhi mureebun | ألم يأتكم نبأ الذين من قبلكم قوم نوح وعاد وثمود والذين من بعدهم لا يعلمهم إلا الله جاءتهم رسلهم بالبينات فردوا أيديهم في أفواههم وقالوا إنا كفرنا بما أرسلتم به وإنا لفي شك مما تدعوننا إليه مريب أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلاَّ اللّهُ جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرَدُّواْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِي أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَقَالُواْ إِنَّا كَفَرْنَا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِ وَإِنَّا لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَنَا إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ | |||||

| 16 [24:34] | Walaqad anzalna ilaykum ayatinmubayyinatin wamathalan mina allatheena khalaw minqablikum wamawAAithatan lilmuttaqeena | ولقد أنزلنا إليكم آيات مبينات ومثلا من الذين خلوا من قبلكم وموعظة للمتقين وَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ آيَاتٍ مُّبَيِّنَاتٍ وَمَثَلًا مِّنَ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| أنزلنا - We have sent down| إليكم - to you| آيات - Verses| مبينات - clear,| ومثلا - and an example| من - of| الذين - those who| خلوا - passed away| من - before you,| قبلكم - before you,| وموعظة - and an admonition| للمتقين - for those who fear (Allah).| | ||||||
| 17 [29:18] | Wa-in tukaththiboo faqad kaththabaomamun min qablikum wama AAala alrrasooliilla albalaghu almubeenu | وإن تكذبوا فقد كذب أمم من قبلكم وما على الرسول إلا البلاغ المبين وَإِن تُكَذِّبُوا فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أُمَمٌ مِّن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَا عَلَى الرَّسُولِ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ | |||||
