| 1 [3:11] | Kada/bi ali firAAawna waallatheenamin qablihim kaththaboo bi-ayatinafaakhathahumu Allahu bithunoobihim waAllahushadeedu alAAiqabi |  كدأب آل فرعون والذين من قبلهم كذبوا بآياتنا فأخذهم الله بذنوبهم والله شديد العقابكَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَاللّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ | |||||
| Words | |كدأب - Like behavior| آل - (of the) people| فرعون - (of) Firaun| والذين - and those who| من - (were) from| قبلهم - before them.| كذبوا - They denied| بآياتنا - Our Signs,| فأخذهم - so seized them| الله - Allah| بذنوبهم - for their sins.| والله - And Allah| شديد - (is) severe| العقاب - (in) [the] punishment.| | ||||||

| Words | |كدأب - Like (the) way| آل - (of) people| فرعون - (of) Firaun| والذين - and those who| من - (were) from| قبلهم - before them.| كفروا - They disbelieved| بآيات - in (the) Signs| الله - (of) Allah,| فأخذهم - so seized them| الله - Allah| بذنوبهم - for their sins.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| قوي - (is) All-Strong| شديد - (and) severe| العقاب - (in) the penalty.| | ||||||
| 3 [16:113] | Walaqad jaahum rasoolun minhum fakaththaboohufaakhathahumu alAAathabu wahum thalimoona | ولقد جاءهم رسول منهم فكذبوه فأخذهم العذاب وهم ظالمون وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| جاءهم - came to them| رسول - a Messenger| منهم - from among them| فكذبوه - but they denied him;| فأخذهم - so seized them| العذاب - the punishment| وهم - while they| ظالمون - (were) wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 4 [26:158] | Faakhathahumu alAAathabu innafee thalika laayatan wama kanaaktharuhum mu/mineena | فأخذهم العذاب إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فأخذهم - So seized them| العذاب - the punishment.| إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآية - surely is a sign,| وما - but not| كان - are| أكثرهم - most of them| مؤمنين - believers.| | ||||||
| 5 [26:189] | Fakaththaboohu faakhathahumAAathabu yawmi alththullati innahu kanaAAathaba yawmin AAatheemin | فكذبوه فأخذهم عذاب يوم الظلة إنه كان عذاب يوم عظيم فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ | |||||
| Words | |فكذبوه - But they denied him,| فأخذهم - so seized them| عذاب - (the) punishment| يوم - (of the) day| الظلة - (of) the shadow.| إنه - Indeed, it| كان - was| عذاب - (the) punishment| يوم - (of) a Day| عظيم - Great.| | ||||||
| 6 [29:14] | Walaqad arsalna noohan ilaqawmihi falabitha feehim alfa sanatin illa khamseena AAamanfaakhathahumu alttoofanu wahum thalimoona | ولقد أرسلنا نوحا إلى قومه فلبث فيهم ألف سنة إلا خمسين عاما فأخذهم الطوفان وهم ظالمون وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ فَلَبِثَ فِيهِمْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا خَمْسِينَ عَامًا فَأَخَذَهُمُ الطُّوفَانُ وَهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| أرسلنا - We sent| نوحا - Nuh| إلى - to| قومه - his people,| فلبث - and he remained| فيهم - among them| ألف - a thousand| سنة - year(s),| إلا - save| خمسين - fifty| عاما - year(s),| فأخذهم - then seized them| الطوفان - the flood,| وهم - while they| ظالمون - (were) wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 7 [40:21] | Awa lam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fayanthurookayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena kanoomin qablihim kanoo hum ashadda minhum quwwatan waatharanfee al-ardi faakhathahumu Allahu bithunoobihimwama kana lahum mina Allahi min waqin | أولم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين كانوا من قبلهم كانوا هم أشد منهم قوة وآثارا في الأرض فأخذهم الله بذنوبهم وما كان لهم من الله من واق أَوَ لَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ مِن وَاقٍ | |||||

| 8 [40:22] | Thalika bi-annahum kanatta/teehim rusuluhum bialbayyinati fakafaroo faakhathahumuAllahu innahu qawiyyun shadeedu alAAiqabi | ذلك بأنهم كانت تأتيهم رسلهم بالبينات فكفروا فأخذهم الله إنه قوي شديد العقاب ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَكَفَرُوا فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ إِنَّهُ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ | |||||
| Words | |ذلك - That| بأنهم - (was) because [they]| كانت - used to come to them| تأتيهم - used to come to them| رسلهم - their Messengers| بالبينات - with clear proofs| فكفروا - but they disbelieved,| فأخذهم - So Allah seized them.| الله - So Allah seized them.| إنه - Indeed, He| قوي - (is) All-Strong,| شديد - severe| العقاب - (in) punishment.| | ||||||
| 9 [69:10] | FaAAasaw rasoola rabbihim faakhathahumakhthatan rabiyatan | فعصوا رسول ربهم فأخذهم أخذة رابية فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَّابِيَةً | |||||
