| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[26:158] | Faakhathahumu alAAathabu innafee thalika laayatan wama kanaaktharuhum mu/mineena
|  فأخذهم العذاب إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين
فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ |
| Words | |فأخذهم - So seized them| العذاب - the punishment.| إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآية - surely is a sign,| وما - but not| كان - are| أكثرهم - most of them| مؤمنين - believers.| |

| ቅጣቱም ያዛቸው፡፡ በዚህም ውስጥ ግሳፄ አልለበት፡፡ አብዛኞቻቸውም ምእመናን አልነበሩም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فأخذهم العذاب } الموعود به فهلكوا { إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين } . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এরপর আযাব তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করল। নিশ্চয় এতে নিদর্শন আছে। কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই বিশ্বাসী নয়। |
| Literal | So the torture punished/took them, that in that (is) an evidence/sign (E) , and most of them were not believing. |
| Yusuf Ali | But the Penalty seized them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. |
