| 1 [7:77] | FaAAaqaroo alnnaqata waAAatawAAan amri rabbihim waqaloo ya salihui/tina bima taAAiduna in kunta minaalmursaleena |  فعقروا الناقة وعتوا عن أمر ربهم وقالوا يا صالح ائتنا بما تعدنا إن كنت من المرسلينفَعَقَرُواْ النَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوْاْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقَالُواْ يَا صَالِحُ ائْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فعقروا - Then they hamstrung| الناقة - the she-camel| وعتوا - and (were) insolent| عن - towards| أمر - (the) command| ربهم - (of) their Lord| وقالوا - and they said,| يا - O| صالح - "O Salih!| ائتنا - Bring us| بما - what| تعدنا - you promise us| إن - if| كنت - you are| من - of| المرسلين - the Messengers."| | ||||||
| 2 [9:120] | Ma kana li-ahli almadeenatiwaman hawlahum mina al-aAArabi an yatakhallafooAAan rasooli Allahi wala yarghaboo bi-anfusihimAAan nafsihi thalika bi-annahum la yuseebuhumthamaon wala nasabun walamakhmasatun fee sabeeli Allahi wala yataoonamawti-an yagheethu alkuffara walayanaloona min AAaduwwin naylan illa kutiba lahumbihi AAamalun salihun inna Allaha layudeeAAu ajra almuhsineena | ما كان لأهل المدينة ومن حولهم من الأعراب أن يتخلفوا عن رسول الله ولا يرغبوا بأنفسهم عن نفسه ذلك بأنهم لا يصيبهم ظمأ ولا نصب ولا مخمصة في سبيل الله ولا يطئون موطئا يغيظ الكفار ولا ينالون من عدو نيلا إلا كتب لهم به عمل صالح إن الله لا يضيع أجر المحسنين مَا كَانَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُم مِّنَ الْأَعْرَابِ أَن يَتَخَلَّفُواْ عَن رَّسُولِ اللّهِ وَلاَ يَرْغَبُواْ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ عَن نَّفْسِهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ لاَ يُصِيبُهُمْ ظَمَأٌ وَلاَ نَصَبٌ وَلاَ مَخْمَصَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَلاَ يَطَؤُونَ مَوْطِئًا يَغِيظُ الْكُفَّارَ وَلاَ يَنَالُونَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَّيْلاً إِلاَّ كُتِبَ لَهُم بِهِ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ما - Not| كان - it was| لأهل - (for) the people| المدينة - of the Madinah| ومن - and who| حولهم - were around them| من - of| الأعراب - the bedouins,| أن - that| يتخلفوا - they remain behind| عن - after| رسول - the Messenger| الله - of Allah,| ولا - and not| يرغبوا - they prefer| بأنفسهم - their lives| عن - to| نفسه - his life.| ذلك - That is| بأنهم - because [they]| لا - (does) not| يصيبهم - afflict them| ظمأ - thirst| ولا - and not| نصب - fatigue| ولا - and not| مخمصة - hunger| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah,| ولا - and not| يطئون - they step| موطئا - any step| يغيظ - that angers| الكفار - the disbelievers| ولا - and not| ينالون - they inflict| من - on| عدو - an enemy| نيلا - an infliction| إلا - except| كتب - is recorded| لهم - for them| به - in it| عمل - (as) a deed| صالح - righteous.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (does) not| يضيع - allow to be lost| أجر - the reward| المحسنين - (of) the good-doers.| | ||||||
| 3 [11:46] | Qala ya noohu innahulaysa min ahlika innahu AAamalun ghayru salihin falatas-alni ma laysa laka bihi AAilmun innee aAAithukaan takoona mina aljahileena | قال يا نوح إنه ليس من أهلك إنه عمل غير صالح فلا تسألن ما ليس لك به علم إني أعظك أن تكون من الجاهلين قَالَ يَا نُوحُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ فَلاَ تَسْأَلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ إِنِّي أَعِظُكَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| يا - O| نوح - "O Nuh!| إنه - Indeed, he| ليس - (is) not| من - of| أهلك - your family;| إنه - indeed, [he]| عمل - (his) deed| غير - (is) other than| صالح - righteous,| فلا - so (do) not| تسألن - ask Me| ما - (about) what| ليس - not| لك - you have| به - of it| علم - any knowledge.| إني - Indeed, I| أعظك - admonish you| أن - lest| تكون - you be| من - among| الجاهلين - the ignorant."| | ||||||
| 4 [11:62] | Qaloo ya salihuqad kunta feena marjuwwan qabla hatha atanhanaan naAAbuda ma yaAAbudu abaonawa-innana lafee shakkin mimma tadAAoonailayhi mureebun | قالوا يا صالح قد كنت فينا مرجوا قبل هذا أتنهانا أن نعبد ما يعبد آباؤنا وإننا لفي شك مما تدعونا إليه مريب قَالُواْ يَا صَالِحُ قَدْ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرْجُوًّا قَبْلَ هَـذَا أَتَنْهَانَا أَن نَّعْبُدَ مَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| صالح - O Salih!| قد - Verily| كنت - you were| فينا - among us| مرجوا - the one in whom hope was placed| قبل - before| هذا - this.| أتنهانا - Do you forbid us| أن - that| نعبد - we worship| ما - what| يعبد - our forefathers worshipped?| آباؤنا - our forefathers worshipped?| وإننا - And indeed we| لفي - surely (are) in| شك - doubt| مما - about what| تدعونا - you call us| إليه - to it,| مريب - suspicious."| | ||||||
| 5 [11:89] | Waya qawmi la yajrimannakumshiqaqee an yuseebakum mithlu ma asabaqawma noohin aw qawma hoodin aw qawma salihinwama qawmu lootin minkum bibaAAeedin | ويا قوم لا يجرمنكم شقاقي أن يصيبكم مثل ما أصاب قوم نوح أو قوم هود أو قوم صالح وما قوم لوط منكم ببعيد وَيَا قَوْمِ لاَ يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شِقَاقِي أَن يُصِيبَكُم مِّثْلُ مَا أَصَابَ قَوْمَ نُوحٍ أَوْ قَوْمَ هُودٍ أَوْ قَوْمَ صَالِحٍ وَمَا قَوْمُ لُوطٍ مِّنكُم بِبَعِيدٍ | |||||
| Words | |ويا - And O| قوم - And O my people!| لا - (Let) not cause you to sin| يجرمنكم - (Let) not cause you to sin| شقاقي - my dissension| أن - lest| يصيبكم - befalls you| مثل - similar| ما - (to) what| أصاب - befell| قوم - (the) people of Nuh| نوح - (the) people of Nuh| أو - or| قوم - (the) people of Hud| هود - (the) people of Hud| أو - or| قوم - people of Salih.| صالح - people of Salih.| وما - And not| قوم - (are the) people of Lut| لوط - (are the) people of Lut| منكم - from you| ببعيد - far off.| | ||||||
| 6 [26:142] | Ith qala lahum akhoohum salihunala tattaqoona | إذ قال لهم أخوهم صالح ألا تتقون إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَالِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
