| 1 [2:58] | Wa-ith qulna odkhuloo hathihialqaryata fakuloo minha haythu shi/tum raghadan waodkhulooalbaba sujjadan waqooloo hittatun naghfirlakum khatayakum wasanazeedu almuhsineena |  وإذ قلنا ادخلوا هذه القرية فكلوا منها حيث شئتم رغدا وادخلوا الباب سجدا وقولوا حطة نغفر لكم خطاياكم وسنزيد المحسنينوَإِذْ قُلْنَا ادْخُلُواْ هَـذِهِ الْقَرْيَةَ فَكُلُواْ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ رَغَداً وَّادْخُلُواْ الْبَابَ سُجَّداً وَّقُولُواْ حِطَّةٌ نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطَايَاكُمْ وَسَنَزِيدُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said,| ادخلوا - "Enter| هذه - this| القرية - town,| فكلوا - then eat| منها - from| حيث - wherever| شئتم - you wish[ed]| رغدا - abundantly,| وادخلوا - and enter| الباب - the gate| سجدا - prostrating.| وقولوا - And say,| حطة - "Repentance."| نغفر - We will forgive| لكم - for you| خطاياكم - your sins.| وسنزيد - And We will increase| المحسنين - the good-doers (in reward)."| | ||||||
| 2 [4:154] | WarafaAAna fawqahumu alttoorabimeethaqihim waqulna lahumu odkhuloo albabasujjadan waqulna lahum la taAAdoo fee alssabtiwaakhathna minhum meethaqan ghaleethan | ورفعنا فوقهم الطور بميثاقهم وقلنا لهم ادخلوا الباب سجدا وقلنا لهم لا تعدوا في السبت وأخذنا منهم ميثاقا غليظا وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ الطُّورَ بِمِيثَاقِهِمْ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ادْخُلُواْ الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لاَ تَعْدُواْ فِي السَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا | |||||
| Words | |ورفعنا - And We raised| فوقهم - over them| الطور - the mount| بميثاقهم - for their covenant,| وقلنا - and We said| لهم - to them,| ادخلوا - "Enter| الباب - the gate,| سجدا - prostrating."| وقلنا - And We said| لهم - to them.| لا - "(Do) not| تعدوا - transgress| في - in| السبت - the Sabbath."| وأخذنا - And We took| منهم - from them| ميثاقا - a covenant| غليظا - solemn.| | ||||||
| 3 [7:161] | Wa-ith qeela lahumu oskunoo hathihialqaryata wakuloo minha haythu shi/tum waqooloo hittatunwaodkhuloo albaba sujjadan naghfir lakum khatee-atikumsanazeedu almuhsineena | وإذ قيل لهم اسكنوا هذه القرية وكلوا منها حيث شئتم وقولوا حطة وادخلوا الباب سجدا نغفر لكم خطيئاتكم سنزيد المحسنين وَإِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمُ اسْكُنُواْ هَـذِهِ الْقَرْيَةَ وَكُلُواْ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ وَقُولُواْ حِطَّةٌ وَادْخُلُواْ الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطِيئَاتِكُمْ سَنَزِيدُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قيل - it was said| لهم - to them,| اسكنوا - "Live| هذه - (in) this| القرية - city| وكلوا - and eat| منها - from it| حيث - wherever| شئتم - you wish| وقولوا - and say,| حطة - "Repentance,"| وادخلوا - and enter| الباب - the gate| سجدا - prostrating,| نغفر - We will forgive| لكم - for you| خطيئاتكم - your sins.| سنزيد - We will increase (reward)| المحسنين - (of) the good-doers."| | ||||||
| 4 [12:100] | WarafaAAa abawayhi AAala alAAarshiwakharroo lahu sujjadan waqala ya abati hathata/weelu ru/yaya min qablu qad jaAAalaha rabbee haqqanwaqad ahsana bee ith akhrajanee mina alssijniwajaa bikum mina albadwi min baAAdi an nazagha alshshaytanubaynee wabayna ikhwatee inna rabbee lateefun limayashao innahu huwa alAAaleemu alhakeemu | ورفع أبويه على العرش وخروا له سجدا وقال يا أبت هذا تأويل رؤياي من قبل قد جعلها ربي حقا وقد أحسن بي إذ أخرجني من السجن وجاء بكم من البدو من بعد أن نزغ الشيطان بيني وبين إخوتي إن ربي لطيف لما يشاء إنه هو العليم الحكيم وَرَفَعَ أَبَوَيْهِ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ وَخَرُّواْ لَهُ سُجَّدًا وَقَالَ يَا أَبَتِ هَـذَا تَأْوِيلُ رُؤْيَايَ مِن قَبْلُ قَدْ جَعَلَهَا رَبِّي حَقًّا وَقَدْ أَحْسَنَ بِي إِذْ أَخْرَجَنِي مِنَ السِّجْنِ وَجَاءَ بِكُم مِّنَ الْبَدْوِ مِن بَعْدِ أَن نَّزَغَ الشَّيْطَانُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ إِخْوَتِي إِنَّ رَبِّي لَطِيفٌ لِّمَا يَشَاءُ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ | |||||
| Words | |ورفع - And he raised| أبويه - his parents| على - upon| العرش - the throne| وخروا - and they fell down| له - to him| سجدا - prostrate.| وقال - And he said,| يا - O| أبت - "O my father!| هذا - This| تأويل - (is the) interpretation| رؤياي - (of) my dream,| من - (of) before.| قبل - (of) before.| قد - Verily,| جعلها - has made it| ربي - my Lord| حقا - true.| وقد - And indeed,| أحسن - He was good| بي - to me| إذ - when| أخرجني - He took me out| من - of| السجن - the prison,| وجاء - and brought| بكم - you| من - from| البدو - the bedouin life| من - after| بعد - after| أن - [that]| نزغ - had caused discord| الشيطان - the Shaitaan| بيني - between me| وبين - and between| إخوتي - my brothers.| إن - Indeed,| ربي - my Lord| لطيف - (is) Most Subtle| لما - to what| يشاء - He wills.| إنه - Indeed, He,| هو - He| العليم - (is) the All-Knower,| الحكيم - the All-Wise.| | ||||||
| 5 [16:48] | Awa lam yaraw ila ma khalaqaAllahu min shay-in yatafayyao thilaluhuAAani alyameeni waalshshama-ili sujjadan lillahiwahum dakhiroona | أولم يروا إلى ما خلق الله من شيء يتفيأ ظلاله عن اليمين والشمائل سجدا لله وهم داخرون أَوَ لَمْ يَرَوْاْ إِلَى مَا خَلَقَ اللّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ يَتَفَيَّأُ ظِلاَلُهُ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَالْشَّمَآئِلِ سُجَّدًا لِّلّهِ وَهُمْ دَاخِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أولم - Have not| يروا - they seen| إلى - [towards]| ما - what| خلق - Allah has created| الله - Allah has created| من - from| شيء - a thing?| يتفيأ - Incline| ظلاله - their shadows| عن - to| اليمين - the right| والشمائل - and to the left,| سجدا - prostrating| لله - to Allah| وهم - while they| داخرون - (are) humble?| | ||||||
| 6 [17:107] | Qul aminoo bihi aw latu/minoo inna allatheena ootoo alAAilma min qablihi ithayutla AAalayhim yakhirroona lil-athqanisujjadan | قل آمنوا به أو لا تؤمنوا إن الذين أوتوا العلم من قبله إذا يتلى عليهم يخرون للأذقان سجدا قُلْ آمِنُواْ بِهِ أَوْ لاَ تُؤْمِنُواْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْعِلْمَ مِن قَبْلِهِ إِذَا يُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ يَخِرُّونَ لِلْأَذْقَانِ سُجَّدًا | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| آمنوا - "Believe| به - in it| أو - or| لا - (do) not| تؤمنوا - believe.| إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| أوتوا - were given| العلم - the knowledge| من - before it,| قبله - before it,| إذا - when| يتلى - it is recited| عليهم - to them,| يخرون - they fall| للأذقان - on their faces| سجدا - (in) prostration."| | ||||||
| 7 [19:58] | Ola-ika allatheena anAAama AllahuAAalayhim mina alnnabiyyeena min thurriyyati adamawamimman hamalna maAAa noohin wamin thurriyyatiibraheema wa-isra-eela wamimman hadayna waijtabaynaitha tutla AAalayhim ayatu alrrahmanikharroo sujjadan wabukiyyan | أولئك الذين أنعم الله عليهم من النبيين من ذرية آدم وممن حملنا مع نوح ومن ذرية إبراهيم وإسرائيل وممن هدينا واجتبينا إذا تتلى عليهم آيات الرحمن خروا سجدا وبكيا أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ آدَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْرَائِيلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَاجْتَبَيْنَا إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُ الرَّحْمَن خَرُّوا سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّا | |||||
| Words | |أولئك - Those| الذين - (were) the ones whom| أنعم - Allah bestowed favor| الله - Allah bestowed favor| عليهم - upon them| من - from (among)| النبيين - the Prophets,| من - of| ذرية - (the) offspring| آدم - (of) Adam,| وممن - and of those| حملنا - We carried| مع - with| نوح - Nuh| ومن - and of| ذرية - (the) offspring| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim| وإسرائيل - and Israel| وممن - and of (those) whom| هدينا - We guided| واجتبينا - and We chose.| إذا - When| تتلى - were recited| عليهم - to them| آيات - (the) Verses| الرحمن - (of) the Most Gracious,| خروا - they fell| سجدا - prostrating| وبكيا - and weeping.| | ||||||
| 8 [20:70] | Faolqiya alssaharatu sujjadanqaloo amanna birabbi haroona wamoosa | فألقي السحرة سجدا قالوا آمنا برب هارون وموسى فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدًا قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ هَارُونَ وَمُوسَى | |||||
| Words | |فألقي - So were thrown down| السحرة - the magicians| سجدا - prostrating.| قالوا - They said,| آمنا - "We believe| برب - in (the) Lord| هارون - (of) Harun| وموسى - and Musa."| | ||||||
| 9 [25:64] | Waallatheena yabeetoonalirabbihim sujjadan waqiyaman | والذين يبيتون لربهم سجدا وقياما وَالَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَامًا | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| يبيتون - spend (the) night| لربهم - before their Lord,| سجدا - prostrating| وقياما - and standing.| | ||||||
| 10 [32:15] | Innama yu/minu bi-ayatinaallatheena itha thukkiroo bihakharroo sujjadan wasabbahoo bihamdi rabbihim wahumla yastakbiroona | إنما يؤمن بآياتنا الذين إذا ذكروا بها خروا سجدا وسبحوا بحمد ربهم وهم لا يستكبرون إِنَّمَا يُؤْمِنُ بِآيَاتِنَا الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهَا خَرُّوا سُجَّدًا وَسَبَّحُوا بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إنما - Only| يؤمن - believe| بآياتنا - in Our Verses| الذين - those who| إذا - when| ذكروا - they are reminded| بها - of them| خروا - fall down| سجدا - prostrating| وسبحوا - and glorify| بحمد - (the) praises| ربهم - (of) their Lord,| وهم - and they| لا - are not arrogant.| يستكبرون - are not arrogant.| | ||||||
| 11 [48:29] | Muhammadun rasoolu Allahi waallatheenamaAAahu ashiddao AAala alkuffari ruhamaobaynahum tarahum rukkaAAan sujjadan yabtaghoona fadlanmina Allahi waridwanan seemahum feewujoohihim min athari alssujoodi thalika mathaluhumfee alttawrati wamathaluhum fee al-injeelikazarAAin akhraja shat-ahu faazarahu faistaghlathafaistawa AAala sooqihi yuAAjibu alzzurraAAaliyagheetha bihimu alkuffara waAAada Allahuallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihatiminhum maghfiratan waajran AAatheeman | محمد رسول الله والذين معه أشداء على الكفار رحماء بينهم تراهم ركعا سجدا يبتغون فضلا من الله ورضوانا سيماهم في وجوههم من أثر السجود ذلك مثلهم في التوراة ومثلهم في الإنجيل كزرع أخرج شطأه فآزره فاستغلظ فاستوى على سوقه يعجب الزراع ليغيظ بهم الكفار وعد الله الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات منهم مغفرة وأجرا عظيما مُّحَمَّدٌ رَّسُولُ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ أَشِدَّاءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَاءُ بَيْنَهُمْ تَرَاهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانًا سِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِم مِّنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ ذَلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِي الْإِنجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْأَهُ فَآزَرَهُ فَاسْتَغْلَظَ فَاسْتَوَى عَلَى سُوقِهِ يُعْجِبُ الزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ الْكُفَّارَ وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |محمد - Muhammad| رسول - (is the) Messenger of Allah,| الله - (is the) Messenger of Allah,| والذين - and those who| معه - (are) with him| أشداء - (are) firm| على - against| الكفار - the disbelievers| رحماء - and merciful| بينهم - among themselves.| تراهم - You see them| ركعا - bowing| سجدا - and prostrating,| يبتغون - seeking| فضلا - Bounty| من - from Allah| الله - from Allah| ورضوانا - and pleasure.| سيماهم - Their mark| في - (is) on| وجوههم - their faces| من - from| أثر - (the) trace| السجود - (of) the prostration.| ذلك - That| مثلهم - (is) their similitude| في - in| التوراة - the Taurah.| ومثلهم - And their similitude| في - in| الإنجيل - the Injeel,| كزرع - (is) like a seed| أخرج - (which) sends forth| شطأه - its shoot| فآزره - then strengthens it,| فاستغلظ - then it becomes thick| فاستوى - and it stands| على - upon| سوقه - its stem| يعجب - delighting| الزراع - the sowers| ليغيظ - that He (may) enrage| بهم - by them| الكفار - the disbelievers.| وعد - Allah has promised| الله - Allah has promised| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believe| وعملوا - and do| الصالحات - righteous deeds| منهم - among them,| مغفرة - forgiveness| وأجرا - and a reward| عظيما - great.| | ||||||
