| 1 [2:71] | Qala innahu yaqoolu innahabaqaratun la thaloolun tutheeru al-arda walatasqee alhartha musallamatun la shiyata feehaqaloo al-ana ji/ta bialhaqqi fathabahoohawama kadoo yafAAaloona |  قال إنه يقول إنها بقرة لا ذلول تثير الأرض ولا تسقي الحرث مسلمة لا شية فيها قالوا الآن جئت بالحق فذبحوها وما كادوا يفعلونقَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لاَّ ذَلُولٌ تُثِيرُ الْأَرْضَ وَلاَ تَسْقِي الْحَرْثَ مُسَلَّمَةٌ لاَّ شِيَةَ فِيهَا قَالُواْ الْآنَ جِئْتَ بِالْحَقِّ فَذَبَحُوهَا وَمَا كَادُواْ يَفْعَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| إنه - "Indeed, He| يقول - says,| إنها - "[Indeed] it| بقرة - (is) a cow| لا - not| ذلول - trained| تثير - to plough| الأرض - the earth,| ولا - and not| تسقي - water| الحرث - the field;| مسلمة - sound,| لا - no| شية - blemish| فيها - in it."| قالوا - They said,| الآن - "Now| جئت - you have come| بالحق - with the truth."| فذبحوها - So they slaughtered it,| وما - and not| كادوا - they were near| يفعلون - (to) doing (it).| | ||||||
| 2 [7:106] | Qala in kunta ji/ta bi-ayatinfa/ti biha in kunta mina alssadiqeena | قال إن كنت جئت بآية فأت بها إن كنت من الصادقين قَالَ إِن كُنتَ جِئْتَ بِآيَةٍ فَأْتِ بِهَا إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| إن - "If| كنت - you have| جئت - come| بآية - with a Sign,| فأت - then bring| بها - it| إن - if| كنت - you are| من - of| الصادقين - the truthful."| | ||||||
| 3 [18:71] | Faintalaqa hattaitha rakiba fee alssafeenati kharaqahaqala akharaqtaha litughriqa ahlaha laqadji/ta shay-an imran | فانطلقا حتى إذا ركبا في السفينة خرقها قال أخرقتها لتغرق أهلها لقد جئت شيئا إمرا فَانطَلَقَا حَتَّى إِذَا رَكِبَا فِي السَّفِينَةِ خَرَقَهَا قَالَ أَخَرَقْتَهَا لِتُغْرِقَ أَهْلَهَا لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئًا إِمْرًا | |||||
| Words | |فانطلقا - So they both set out| حتى - until| إذا - when| ركبا - they had embarked| في - on| السفينة - the ship| خرقها - he made a hole in it.| قال - He said,| أخرقتها - "Have you made a hole in it,| لتغرق - to drown| أهلها - its people?| لقد - Certainly,| جئت - you have done| شيئا - a thing| إمرا - grave."| | ||||||
| 4 [18:74] | Faintalaqa hattaitha laqiya ghulaman faqatalahu qalaaqatalta nafsan zakiyyatan bighayri nafsin laqad ji/ta shay-annukran | فانطلقا حتى إذا لقيا غلاما فقتله قال أقتلت نفسا زكية بغير نفس لقد جئت شيئا نكرا فَانطَلَقَا حَتَّى إِذَا لَقِيَا غُلاَمًا فَقَتَلَهُ قَالَ أَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا زَكِيَّةً بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ لَّقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئًا نُّكْرًا | |||||
| Words | |فانطلقا - Then they both set out| حتى - until| إذا - when| لقيا - they met| غلاما - a boy,| فقتله - then he killed him.| قال - He said,| أقتلت - "Have you killed| نفسا - a soul,| زكية - pure,| بغير - for other than| نفس - a soul?| لقد - Certainly,| جئت - you have done| شيئا - a thing| نكرا - evil."| | ||||||
| 5 [19:27] | Faatat bihi qawmaha tahmiluhuqaloo ya maryamu laqad ji/ti shay-an fariyyan | فأتت به قومها تحمله قالوا يا مريم لقد جئت شيئا فريا فَأَتَتْ بِهِ قَوْمَهَا تَحْمِلُهُ قَالُواْ يَا مَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْئًا فَرِيًّا | |||||
| Words | |فأتت - Then she came| به - with him| قومها - (to) her people,| تحمله - carrying him.| قالوا - They said,| يا - O| مريم - "O Maryam!| لقد - Certainly,| جئت - you (have) brought| شيئا - an amazing thing.| فريا - an amazing thing.| | ||||||
| 6 [20:40] | Ith tamshee okhtuka fataqoolu haladullukum AAala man yakfuluhu farajaAAnaka ilaommika kay taqarra AAaynuha wala tahzanawaqatalta nafsan fanajjaynaka mina alghammi wafatannakafutoonan falabithta sineena fee ahli madyana thumma ji/ta AAalaqadarin ya moosa | إذ تمشي أختك فتقول هل أدلكم على من يكفله فرجعناك إلى أمك كي تقر عينها ولا تحزن وقتلت نفسا فنجيناك من الغم وفتناك فتونا فلبثت سنين في أهل مدين ثم جئت على قدر يا موسى إِذْ تَمْشِي أُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَن يَكْفُلُهُ فَرَجَعْنَاكَ إِلَى أُمِّكَ كَيْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا فَنَجَّيْنَاكَ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّاكَ فُتُونًا فَلَبِثْتَ سِنِينَ فِي أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ عَلَى قَدَرٍ يَا مُوسَى | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| تمشي - was going| أختك - your sister| فتقول - and she said,| هل - "Shall,| أدلكم - I show you| على - [to]| من - (one) who| يكفله - will nurse and rear him?"| فرجعناك - So We returned you| إلى - to| أمك - your mother| كي - that| تقر - may be cooled| عينها - her eyes| ولا - and not| تحزن - she grieves.| وقتلت - And you killed| نفسا - a man,| فنجيناك - but We saved you| من - from| الغم - the distress,| وفتناك - and We tried you| فتونا - (with) a trial.| فلبثت - Then you remained| سنين - (some) years| في - with| أهل - (the) people| مدين - (of) Madyan.| ثم - Then| جئت - you came| على - at| قدر - the decreed (time)| يا - O| موسى - O Musa!| | ||||||
