| 1 [6:31] | Qad khasira allatheena kaththaboobiliqa-i Allahi hatta itha jaat-humualssaAAatu baghtatan qaloo ya hasratanaAAala ma farratna feeha wahumyahmiloona awzarahum AAala thuhoorihimala saa ma yaziroona |  قد خسر الذين كذبوا بلقاء الله حتى إذا جاءتهم الساعة بغتة قالوا يا حسرتنا على ما فرطنا فيها وهم يحملون أوزارهم على ظهورهم ألا ساء ما يزرونقَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِلِقَاءِ اللّهِ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً قَالُواْ يَا حَسْرَتَنَا عَلَى مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِيهَا وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُونَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلَى ظُهُورِهِمْ أَلاَ سَاءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قد - Indeed,| خسر - incurred loss| الذين - those who| كذبوا - denied| بلقاء - in (the) meeting| الله - (with) Allah,| حتى - until| إذا - when| جاءتهم - came to them| الساعة - the Hour| بغتة - suddenly| قالوا - they said,| يا - O| حسرتنا - "Oh! Our regret| على - over| ما - what| فرطنا - we neglected| فيها - concerning it,"| وهم - while they| يحملون - will bear| أوزارهم - their burdens| على - on| ظهورهم - their backs.| ألا - Unquestionably!| ساء - Evil| ما - (is) what| يزرون - they bear.| | ||||||
| 2 [6:44] | Falamma nasoo ma thukkiroobihi fatahna AAalayhim abwaba kulli shay-in hattaitha farihoo bima ootoo akhathnahumbaghtatan fa-itha hum mublisoona | فلما نسوا ما ذكروا به فتحنا عليهم أبواب كل شيء حتى إذا فرحوا بما أوتوا أخذناهم بغتة فإذا هم مبلسون فَلَمَّا نَسُواْ مَا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى إِذَا فَرِحُواْ بِمَا أُوتُواْ أَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُم مُّبْلِسُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - So when| نسوا - they forgot| ما - what| ذكروا - they were reminded| به - of [it],| فتحنا - We opened| عليهم - on them| أبواب - gates| كل - (of) every| شيء - thing,| حتى - until| إذا - when| فرحوا - they rejoiced| بما - in what| أوتوا - they were given,| أخذناهم - We seized them| بغتة - suddenly| فإذا - and then| هم - they| مبلسون - (were) dumbfounded.| | ||||||
| 3 [6:47] | Qul araaytakum in atakum AAathabuAllahi baghtatan aw jahratan hal yuhlaku illaalqawmu alththalimoona | قل أرأيتكم إن أتاكم عذاب الله بغتة أو جهرة هل يهلك إلا القوم الظالمون قُلْ أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُ اللّهِ بَغْتَةً أَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلاَّ الْقَوْمُ الظَّالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| أرأيتكم - "Have you seen| إن - if| أتاكم - comes to you| عذاب - punishment| الله - (of) Allah| بغتة - suddenly| أو - or| جهرة - openly,| هل - will| يهلك - (any) be destroyed| إلا - except| القوم - the people -| الظالمون - the wrongdoers?| | ||||||
| 4 [7:95] | Thumma baddalna makana alssayyi-atialhasanata hatta AAafaw waqaloo qadmassa abaana alddarraowaalssarrao faakhathnahum baghtatanwahum la yashAAuroona | ثم بدلنا مكان السيئة الحسنة حتى عفوا وقالوا قد مس آباءنا الضراء والسراء فأخذناهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرون ثُمَّ بَدَّلْنَا مَكَانَ السَّيِّئَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ حَتَّى عَفَواْ وَّقَالُواْ قَدْ مَسَّ آبَاءَنَا الضَّرَّاءُ وَالسَّرَّاءُ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| بدلنا - We changed| مكان - (in) place| السيئة - (of) the bad| الحسنة - the good,| حتى - until| عفوا - they increased| وقالوا - and said,| قد - "Verily,| مس - (had) touched| آباءنا - our forefathers| الضراء - the adversity| والسراء - and the ease."| فأخذناهم - So We seized them| بغتة - suddenly,| وهم - while they| لا - (did) not| يشعرون - perceive.| | ||||||
| 5 [7:187] | Yas-aloonaka AAani alssaAAatiayyana mursaha qul innama AAilmuhaAAinda rabbee la yujalleeha liwaqtiha illahuwa thaqulat fee alssamawati waal-ardila ta/teekum illa baghtatan yas-aloonaka kaannaka hafiyyunAAanha qul innama AAilmuha AAinda Allahiwalakinna akthara alnnasi layaAAlamoona | يسألونك عن الساعة أيان مرساها قل إنما علمها عند ربي لا يجليها لوقتها إلا هو ثقلت في السماوات والأرض لا تأتيكم إلا بغتة يسألونك كأنك حفي عنها قل إنما علمها عند الله ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّي لاَ يُجَلِّيهَا لِوَقْتِهَا إِلاَّ هُوَ ثَقُلَتْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ لاَ تَأْتِيكُمْ إِلاَّ بَغْتَةً يَسْأَلُونَكَ كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ اللّهِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يسألونك - They ask you| عن - about| الساعة - the Hour,| أيان - when will be| مرساها - its appointed time?| قل - Say,| إنما - "Only| علمها - its knowledge| عند - (is) with| ربي - my Lord,| لا - no (one)| يجليها - can reveal [it]| لوقتها - its time| إلا - except| هو - Him.| ثقلت - It lays heavily| في - in| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| لا - Not| تأتيكم - will it come to you| إلا - but| بغتة - suddenly."| يسألونك - They ask you| كأنك - as if you| حفي - (were) well informed| عنها - about it.| قل - Say,| إنما - "Only| علمها - its knowledge| عند - (is) with| الله - Allah,| ولكن - but| أكثر - most| الناس - (of) the people| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know."| | ||||||
| 6 [12:107] | Afaaminoo an ta/tiyahum ghashiyatunmin AAathabi Allahi aw ta/tiyahumu alssaAAatubaghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona | أفأمنوا أن تأتيهم غاشية من عذاب الله أو تأتيهم الساعة بغتة وهم لا يشعرون أَفَأَمِنُواْ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمْ غَاشِيَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ اللّهِ أَوْ تَأْتِيَهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أفأمنوا - Do they then feel secure| أن - (against) that| تأتيهم - comes to them| غاشية - an overwhelming| من - [of]| عذاب - punishment| الله - (of) Allah,| أو - or| تأتيهم - comes to them| الساعة - the Hour| بغتة - suddenly| وهم - while they| لا - (do) not| يشعرون - perceive?| | ||||||
| 7 [21:40] | Bal ta/teehim baghtatan fatabhatuhum falayastateeAAoona raddaha wala hum yuntharoona | بل تأتيهم بغتة فتبهتهم فلا يستطيعون ردها ولا هم ينظرون بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |بل - Nay,| تأتيهم - it will come to them| بغتة - unexpectedly| فتبهتهم - and bewilder them,| فلا - then not| يستطيعون - they will be able| ردها - to repel it,| ولا - and not| هم - they| ينظرون - will be given respite.| | ||||||
| 8 [22:55] | Wala yazalu allatheenakafaroo fee miryatin minhu hatta ta/tiyahumu alssaAAatubaghtatan aw ya/tiyahum AAathabu yawmin AAaqeemin | ولا يزال الذين كفروا في مرية منه حتى تأتيهم الساعة بغتة أو يأتيهم عذاب يوم عقيم وَلَا يَزَالُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِّنْهُ حَتَّى تَأْتِيَهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَقِيمٍ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And not| يزال - will cease| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve| في - (to be) in| مرية - doubt| منه - of it| حتى - until| تأتيهم - comes to them| الساعة - the Hour| بغتة - suddenly| أو - or| يأتيهم - comes to them| عذاب - (the) punishment| يوم - (of) a Day| عقيم - barren.| | ||||||
| 9 [26:202] | Faya/tiyahum baghtatan wahum layashAAuroona | فيأتيهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرون فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فيأتيهم - And it will come to them| بغتة - suddenly,| وهم - while they| لا - (do) not| يشعرون - perceive.| | ||||||
| 10 [29:53] | WayastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabiwalawla ajalun musamman lajaahumu alAAathabuwalaya/tiyannahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona | ويستعجلونك بالعذاب ولولا أجل مسمى لجاءهم العذاب وليأتينهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرون وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَلَوْلَا أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى لَّجَاءَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ويستعجلونك - And they ask you to hasten| بالعذاب - [with] the punishment.| ولولا - And if not| أجل - (for) a term| مسمى - appointed,| لجاءهم - surely (would) have come to them| العذاب - the punishment.| وليأتينهم - But it will surely come to them| بغتة - suddenly| وهم - while they| لا - (do) not| يشعرون - perceive.| | ||||||
| 11 [39:55] | WaittabiAAoo ahsana maonzila ilaykum min rabbikum min qabli an ya/tiyakumu alAAathabubaghtatan waantum la tashAAuroona | واتبعوا أحسن ما أنزل إليكم من ربكم من قبل أن يأتيكم العذاب بغتة وأنتم لا تشعرون وَاتَّبِعُوا أَحْسَنَ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ العَذَابُ بَغْتَةً وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |واتبعوا - And follow| أحسن - (the) best| ما - (of) what| أنزل - is revealed| إليكم - to you| من - from| ربكم - your Lord| من - before| قبل - before| أن - [that]| يأتيكم - comes to you| العذاب - the punishment| بغتة - suddenly,| وأنتم - while you| لا - (do) not| تشعرون - perceive,| | ||||||
| 12 [43:66] | Hal yanthuroona illa alssaAAataan ta/tiyahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona | هل ينظرون إلا الساعة أن تأتيهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرون هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||

| 13 [47:18] | Fahal yanthuroona illaalssaAAata an ta/tiyahum baghtatan faqad jaaashratuha faanna lahum itha jaat-humthikrahum | فهل ينظرون إلا الساعة أن تأتيهم بغتة فقد جاء أشراطها فأنى لهم إذا جاءتهم ذكراهم فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً فَقَدْ جَاءَ أَشْرَاطُهَا فَأَنَّى لَهُمْ إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ ذِكْرَاهُمْ | |||||
| Words | |فهل - Then do| ينظرون - they wait| إلا - but| الساعة - (for) the Hour| أن - that| تأتيهم - it should come to them| بغتة - suddenly?| فقد - But indeed,| جاء - have come| أشراطها - its indications.| فأنى - Then how| لهم - to them| إذا - when| جاءتهم - has come to them| ذكراهم - their reminder.| | ||||||
