| 1 [2:74] | Thumma qasat quloobukum min baAAdi thalikafahiya kaalhijarati aw ashaddu qaswatanwa-inna mina alhijarati lama yatafajjaruminhu al-anharu wa-inna minha lamayashshaqqaqu fayakhruju minhu almao wa-inna minhalama yahbitu min khashyati Allahi wamaAllahu bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona |  ثم قست قلوبكم من بعد ذلك فهي كالحجارة أو أشد قسوة وإن من الحجارة لما يتفجر منه الأنهار وإن منها لما يشقق فيخرج منه الماء وإن منها لما يهبط من خشية الله وما الله بغافل عما تعملونثُمَّ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُكُم مِّنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ فَهِيَ كَالْحِجَارَةِ أَوْ أَشَدُّ قَسْوَةً وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْحِجَارَةِ لَمَا يَتَفَجَّرُ مِنْهُ الأَنْهَارُ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَشَّقَّقُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الْمَاءُ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَهْبِطُ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللّهِ وَمَا اللّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| قست - hardened| قلوبكم - your hearts| من - from| بعد - after| ذلك - that| فهي - so they| كالحجارة - (became) like [the] stones| أو - or| أشد - stronger| قسوة - (in) hardness.| وإن - And indeed,| من - from| الحجارة - the stones| لما - certainly (there are some) which| يتفجر - gush forth| منه - from it| الأنهار - [the] rivers,| وإن - and indeed,| منها - from them| لما - certainly (there are some) which| يشقق - split,| فيخرج - so comes out| منه - from it| الماء - [the] water,| وإن - and indeed,| منها - from them| لما - certainly (there are some) which| يهبط - fall down| من - from| خشية - fear| الله - (of) Allah.| وما - And not| الله - (is) Allah| بغافل - unaware| عما - of what| تعملون - you do.| | ||||||
| 2 [7:50] | Wanada as-habu alnarias-haba aljannati an afeedoo AAalaynamina alma-i aw mimma razaqakumu Allahu qalooinna Allaha harramahuma AAala alkafireena | ونادى أصحاب النار أصحاب الجنة أن أفيضوا علينا من الماء أو مما رزقكم الله قالوا إن الله حرمهما على الكافرين وَنَادَى أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ أَفِيضُواْ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّهُ قَالُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ونادى - And (will) call out| أصحاب - (the) companions| النار - (of) the Fire| أصحاب - (to the) companions| الجنة - (of) Paradise| أن - [that],| أفيضوا - "Pour| علينا - upon us| من - [of]| الماء - (some) water| أو - or| مما - of what| رزقكم - (has been) provided (to) you| الله - (by) Allah."| قالوا - They (will) say,| إن - "Indeed,| الله - Allah| حرمهما - has forbidden both| على - to| الكافرين - the disbelievers,| | ||||||
| 3 [7:57] | Wahuwa allathee yursilu alrriyahabushran bayna yaday rahmatihi hatta ithaaqallat sahaban thiqalan suqnahu libaladinmayyitin faanzalna bihi almaa faakhrajnabihi min kulli alththamarati kathalikanukhriju almawta laAAallakum tathakkaroona | وهو الذي يرسل الرياح بشرا بين يدي رحمته حتى إذا أقلت سحابا ثقالا سقناه لبلد ميت فأنزلنا به الماء فأخرجنا به من كل الثمرات كذلك نخرج الموتى لعلكم تذكرون وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا أَقَلَّتْ سَحَابًا ثِقَالاً سُقْنَاهُ لِبَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَأَنزَلْنَا بِهِ الْمَاءَ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ كَذَلِكَ نُخْرِجُ الْموْتَى لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وهو - And He| الذي - (is) the One Who| يرسل - sends| الرياح - the winds| بشرا - (as) glad tidings| بين - from| يدي - before| رحمته - His Mercy,| حتى - until,| إذا - when| أقلت - they have carried| سحابا - clouds -| ثقالا - heavy,| سقناه - We drive them| لبلد - to a land,| ميت - dead,| فأنزلنا - then We send down| به - from it| الماء - the water| فأخرجنا - then We bring forth| به - from it| من - (of)| كل - all (kinds)| الثمرات - (of) fruits.| كذلك - Thus| نخرج - We will bring forth| الموتى - the dead| لعلكم - so that you may| تذكرون - take heed.| | ||||||
| 4 [11:7] | Wahuwa allathee khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda fee sittati ayyamin wakanaAAarshuhu AAala alma-i liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanuAAamalan wala-in qulta innakum mabAAoothoona min baAAdi almawtilayaqoolanna allatheena kafaroo in hatha illasihrun mubeenun | وهو الذي خلق السماوات والأرض في ستة أيام وكان عرشه على الماء ليبلوكم أيكم أحسن عملا ولئن قلت إنكم مبعوثون من بعد الموت ليقولن الذين كفروا إن هذا إلا سحر مبين وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَق السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلاً وَلَئِن قُلْتَ إِنَّكُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ مِن بَعْدِ الْمَوْتِ لَيَقُولَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ إِنْ هَـذَا إِلاَّ سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Words | |وهو - And He| الذي - (is) the One Who| خلق - created| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth| في - in| ستة - six| أيام - epochs,| وكان - and His throne was| عرشه - and His throne was| على - on| الماء - the water| ليبلوكم - that He might test [you]| أيكم - which of you| أحسن - (is) best| عملا - (in) deed.| ولئن - But if| قلت - you say,| إنكم - "Indeed, you| مبعوثون - (will be) resurrected| من - after| بعد - after| الموت - [the] death,"| ليقولن - surely would say| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved,| إن - "This is not| هذا - "This is not| إلا - but| سحر - a magic| مبين - clear."| | ||||||
| 5 [11:43] | Qala saawee ila jabalinyaAAsimunee mina alma-i qala la AAasimaalyawma min amri Allahi illa man rahima wahalabaynahuma almawju fakana mina almughraqeena | قال سآوي إلى جبل يعصمني من الماء قال لا عاصم اليوم من أمر الله إلا من رحم وحال بينهما الموج فكان من المغرقين قَالَ سَآوِي إِلَى جَبَلٍ يَعْصِمُنِي مِنَ الْمَاءِ قَالَ لاَ عَاصِمَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللّهِ إِلاَّ مَن رَّحِمَ وَحَالَ بَيْنَهُمَا الْمَوْجُ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُغْرَقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| سآوي - "I will betake myself| إلى - to| جبل - a mountain,| يعصمني - (that) will save me| من - from| الماء - the water."| قال - He said,| لا - "(There is) no| عاصم - protector| اليوم - today| من - from| أمر - the Command of Allah| الله - the Command of Allah| إلا - except,| من - (on) whom| رحم - He has mercy."| وحال - And came| بينهما - (in) between them| الموج - the waves,| فكان - so he was| من - among| المغرقين - the drowned.| | ||||||
| 6 [11:44] | Waqeela ya ardu iblaAAee maakiwaya samao aqliAAee wagheeda almaowaqudiya al-amru waistawat AAala aljoodiyyiwaqeela buAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena | وقيل يا أرض ابلعي ماءك ويا سماء أقلعي وغيض الماء وقضي الأمر واستوت على الجودي وقيل بعدا للقوم الظالمين وَقِيلَ يَا أَرْضُ ابْلَعِي مَاءَكِ وَيَا سَمَاءُ أَقْلِعِي وَغِيضَ الْمَاءُ وَقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَاسْتَوَتْ عَلَى الْجُودِيِّ وَقِيلَ بُعْداً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وقيل - And it was said,| يا - O| أرض - "O earth!| ابلعي - Swallow| ماءك - your water,| ويا - And O| سماء - Withhold."| أقلعي - And subsided| وغيض - the water,| الماء - and was fulfilled| وقضي - the Command.| الأمر - And it rested| واستوت - on| على - the Judi.| الجودي - And it was said,| وقيل - "Away| بعدا - with the people| للقوم - the wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 7 [13:14] | Lahu daAAwatu alhaqqi waallatheenayadAAoona min doonihi la yastajeeboona lahum bishay-in illakabasiti kaffayhi ila alma-iliyablugha fahu wama huwa bibalighihi wamaduAAao alkafireena illa fee dalalin | له دعوة الحق والذين يدعون من دونه لا يستجيبون لهم بشيء إلا كباسط كفيه إلى الماء ليبلغ فاه وما هو ببالغه وما دعاء الكافرين إلا في ضلال لَهُ دَعْوَةُ الْحَقِّ وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ لاَ يَسْتَجِيبُونَ لَهُم بِشَيْءٍ إِلاَّ كَبَاسِطِ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُغَ فَاهُ وَمَا هُوَ بِبَالِغِهِ وَمَا دُعَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلاَّ فِي ضَلاَلٍ | |||||
| Words | |له - To Him| دعوة - (is) supplication| الحق - (of) the truth.| والذين - And those whom| يدعون - they invoke| من - besides Him| دونه - besides Him| لا - not| يستجيبون - they respond| لهم - to them| بشيء - with a thing| إلا - except| كباسط - like one who stretches| كفيه - his hands| إلى - towards| الماء - water| ليبلغ - to reach| فاه - his mouth,| وما - but not| هو - it| ببالغه - reaches it.| وما - And not| دعاء - (is) the supplication| الكافرين - (of) the disbelievers| إلا - but| في - in| ضلال - error.| | ||||||
| 8 [21:30] | Awa lam yara allatheenakafaroo anna alssamawati waal-ardakanata ratqan fafataqnahuma wajaAAalnamina alma-i kulla shay-in hayyin afalayu/minoona | أولم ير الذين كفروا أن السماوات والأرض كانتا رتقا ففتقناهما وجعلنا من الماء كل شيء حي أفلا يؤمنون أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أولم - Do not| ير - see| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| أن - that| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth| كانتا - were| رتقا - a joined entity,| ففتقناهما - then We parted them| وجعلنا - and We made| من - from| الماء - [the] water| كل - every| شيء - living thing?| حي - living thing?| أفلا - Then will not| يؤمنون - they believe?| | ||||||
| 9 [22:5] | Ya ayyuha alnnasuin kuntum fee raybin mina albaAAthi fa-inna khalaqnakummin turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma minAAalaqatin thumma min mudghatin mukhallaqatin waghayrimukhallaqatin linubayyina lakum wanuqirru fee al-arhami manashao ila ajalin musamman thumma nukhrijukum tiflanthumma litablughoo ashuddakum waminkum man yutawaffawaminkum man yuraddu ila arthali alAAumuri likaylayaAAlama min baAAdi AAilmin shay-an watara al-ardahamidatan fa-itha anzalna AAalayhaalmaa ihtazzat warabat waanbatat min kulli zawjin baheejin | يا أيها الناس إن كنتم في ريب من البعث فإنا خلقناكم من تراب ثم من نطفة ثم من علقة ثم من مضغة مخلقة وغير مخلقة لنبين لكم ونقر في الأرحام ما نشاء إلى أجل مسمى ثم نخرجكم طفلا ثم لتبلغوا أشدكم ومنكم من يتوفى ومنكم من يرد إلى أرذل العمر لكيلا يعلم من بعد علم شيئا وترى الأرض هامدة فإذا أنزلنا عليها الماء اهتزت وربت وأنبتت من كل زوج بهيج يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِّنَ الْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضْغَةٍ مُّخَلَّقَةٍ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَنُقِرُّ فِي الْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَاءُ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوا أَشُدَّكُمْ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّى وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَى أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِن بَعْدِ عِلْمٍ شَيْئًا وَتَرَى الْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةً فَإِذَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ اهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنبَتَتْ مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O mankind!| الناس - O mankind!| إن - If| كنتم - you are| في - in| ريب - doubt| من - about| البعث - the Resurrection,| فإنا - then indeed, We| خلقناكم - We created you| من - from| تراب - dust,| ثم - then| من - from| نطفة - a semen-drop| ثم - then| من - from| علقة - a clinging substance| ثم - then| من - from| مضغة - an embryonic lump,| مخلقة - formed| وغير - and unformed,| مخلقة - and unformed,| لنبين - that We may make clear| لكم - to you.| ونقر - And We cause to remain| في - in| الأرحام - the wombs| ما - what| نشاء - We will| إلى - for| أجل - a term| مسمى - appointed,| ثم - then| نخرجكم - We bring you out| طفلا - (as) a child,| ثم - [then]| لتبلغوا - that you may reach| أشدكم - [your] maturity.| ومنكم - And among you| من - (is he) who| يتوفى - dies,| ومنكم - and among you| من - (is he) who| يرد - is returned| إلى - to| أرذل - the most abject| العمر - age,| لكيلا - so that not| يعلم - he knows,| من - after| بعد - after| علم - having known,| شيئا - anything.| وترى - And you see| الأرض - the earth| هامدة - barren| فإذا - then when| أنزلنا - We send down| عليها - on it| الماء - water,| اهتزت - it gets stirred| وربت - and it swells| وأنبتت - and grows| من - of| كل - every| زوج - kind| بهيج - beautiful.| | ||||||
| 10 [25:54] | Wahuwa allathee khalaqa mina alma-ibasharan fajaAAalahu nasaban wasihran wakanarabbuka qadeeran | وهو الذي خلق من الماء بشرا فجعله نسبا وصهرا وكان ربك قديرا وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |وهو - And He| الذي - (is) the One Who| خلق - has created| من - from| الماء - the water| بشرا - human being| فجعله - and has made (for) him| نسبا - blood relationship| وصهرا - and marriage relationship.| وكان - And is| ربك - your Lord| قديرا - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 11 [32:27] | Awa lam yaraw anna nasooqu almaaila al-ardi aljuruzi fanukhriju bihi zarAAanta-kulu minhu anAAamuhum waanfusuhum afala yubsiroona | أولم يروا أنا نسوق الماء إلى الأرض الجرز فنخرج به زرعا تأكل منه أنعامهم وأنفسهم أفلا يبصرون أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا نَسُوقُ الْمَاءَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الْجُرُزِ فَنُخْرِجُ بِهِ زَرْعًا تَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ أَنْعَامُهُمْ وَأَنفُسُهُمْ أَفَلَا يُبْصِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أولم - Do not| يروا - they see| أنا - that We| نسوق - drive| الماء - water| إلى - to| الأرض - the land| الجرز - [the] barren,| فنخرج - then We bring forth| به - thereby| زرعا - crops,| تأكل - eat| منه - from it| أنعامهم - their cattle| وأنفسهم - and they themselves?| أفلا - Then do not| يبصرون - they see?| | ||||||
| 12 [41:39] | Wamin ayatihi annaka taraal-arda khashiAAatan fa-itha anzalnaAAalayha almaa ihtazzat warabat inna allatheeahyaha lamuhyee almawta innahuAAala kulli shay-in qadeerun | ومن آياته أنك ترى الأرض خاشعة فإذا أنزلنا عليها الماء اهتزت وربت إن الذي أحياها لمحيي الموتى إنه على كل شيء قدير وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنَّكَ تَرَى الْأَرْضَ خَاشِعَةً فَإِذَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ اهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ إِنَّ الَّذِي أَحْيَاهَا لَمُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى إِنَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And among| آياته - His Signs| أنك - (is) that you| ترى - see| الأرض - the earth| خاشعة - barren,| فإذا - but when| أنزلنا - We send down| عليها - upon it| الماء - water| اهتزت - it is stirred (to life)| وربت - and grows.| إن - Indeed,| الذي - the One Who| أحياها - gives it life,| لمحيي - (is) surely the Giver of life| الموتى - (to) the dead.| إنه - Indeed, He| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 13 [54:12] | Wafajjarna al-arda AAuyoonanfailtaqa almao AAala amrin qad qudira | وفجرنا الأرض عيونا فالتقى الماء على أمر قد قدر وَفَجَّرْنَا الْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَالْتَقَى الْمَاءُ عَلَى أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ | |||||
| Words | |وفجرنا - And We caused to burst| الأرض - the earth| عيونا - (with) springs,| فالتقى - so met| الماء - the water(s)| على - for| أمر - a matter| قد - already| قدر - predestined.| | ||||||
| 14 [54:28] | Wanabbi/hum anna almaa qismatunbaynahum kullu shirbin muhtadarun | ونبئهم أن الماء قسمة بينهم كل شرب محتضر وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ الْمَاءَ قِسْمَةٌ بَيْنَهُمْ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُّحْتَضَرٌ | |||||
| Words | |ونبئهم - And inform them| أن - that| الماء - the water| قسمة - (is) to be shared| بينهم - between them,| كل - each| شرب - drink| محتضر - attended.| | ||||||
